Vehicle information, even though purchasing, the car can sometimes be a bit of.

Even though purchasing, the car can sometimes be a bit of an ordeal, I have to say the staff at Autonet made it pretty painless. Everyone was super friendly, played no games and at the end of the evening I feel like I got a great deal.

Very Reliable

Spacious, dependable, minimal maintenance required besides routine (oil change, tires, etc.) Excellent for traveling long distances with a family. Enough room to spread out. I tow a 12' utility trailer loaded with a side by side and don't know it's even there except when I stop for gas. Wish they still made the Excursion for I would buy another one.

Best vehicle design ever made.

No SUV/Truck has ever been designed so well. Newer vehicle designs are a disappointment in comparison. Here is why: built strong as a tank with 3/4 ton suspension, 10k+ lb towing, sterling rear axle, and Dana 50 front axle with steering stabilizer, 310 HP 425-ft-lbs of torque V10. Large vehicle with great visibility (no blindspots), seats up to 8 or 9 full size adults comfortably. Four wheel disk brakes, auto locking hubs (can also be manual locked), 4WD with locking front and rear axles. 60/40 middle row seats can fold down flat or slide forward, third row seat can fold down or can easily be removed or reinstalled in about 10 seconds. Can fit 4' x 8' plywood or drywall with second and third row seats folded. Plenty of trunk space even when all three rows of seats are occupied, convenient slide out cup holders in front, plus several extra cup holders, large deep storage console, electric side rear glass windows can be opened individually for extra ventilation. Electric heated sideview mirrors, exterior temperature, compass, fuel mileage gauges. Large heavy duty front tow hooks. Stainless exhaust. Tows trailers effortlessly. High ground clearance. Separate front and rear heat/ac and controls.

Best large SUV ever built with the best diesel 7.3

We can get 8 people in it in comfort, haul our 9,000 lb Center Console boat, travel 418 miles and don't have to stop for fuel, but have to for bathroom breaks, tow at 70 to 75 miles hour and doesn't fad on hills , we have the 7.3L diesel which is as good as the 5.9L Cummings diesel , its like traveling on your sofa in front of the air conditioning

I bought a new 2001 Excursion diesel in November of 2000. I still drive it. It pulls heavy trailers, holds 8 people, rides comfortably, and has been incredibly reliable. I did replace the transmission at about 100,000 miles. Again, I pulled very heavy trailers.

Let me start off by saying that the Level of Service that I received from my guy Robert Emmons at Carizona was absolutely FIRST CLASS! Robert went Above & Beyond the level of excellence. Genuine, honest & trustworthy are just a few choice words in which I would Sum him up. Truly a Joy to work with. I have purchased a few vehicles by going through the "Dealership Process" & each time was worse then the previous. My bad run with dealerships ended when I met Robert & rest is history. Reliable tough fun monster !

This is my first truck/suv and i wanted one that was huge well the excursion is certainly huge. On road trips you have to stop every so often because its so comfortable you keep nodding off while driving but yet its still tough and rugged.reliability is good only thing i replaced was ac compressor and running board light sockets.Gas milage can be as high as 14 on a constant long stretch highway but normally around 11 combined highway and city but well worth the gas milage.Winter roads are no challenge for the excursion .Only other complaints are when i hand wax it or need to scrap ice off the winsheild you will need a small ladder or step stool but well worth it i will keep it forever !!!!!!

12 1/2 years - first repair!

Unbelievable, but other than regular maintenance such as oil changes, battery, tire and wiper replacement there has never been one thing wrong with this truck. Just replaced the fuel pump, had it completely checked out, everything in perfect condition. Have loved this truck since the first day. Okay, lousy mileage, but use it for hauling and long distance trips. Purchased 3 days before 9/11 - still own with no intention of replacing. This truck far surpasses the Suburban by having a better turning base, more pick up and much more comfortable. A true Texas truck!!!

Love my new old Excursion. Always wanted one, and here we have a 15 year old vehicle that drives like brand new. Tough and versatile.

I have driven Suburban, yukons and expeditions. I drove the Limited Excursion and loved it so much I bought two of them. Now looking and getting two new ones with the deisel engines. Drive one and you will love it, no other compares!

This is one great vehicle

This vehicle has been a joy to date.Its used for commute as well as towing(8900lb)trailer.Previous vehicle was a 99 f/250 crew which was also great.Chose this due to passenger room and parkway driving.This vehicle has an unfair Blackeye image which I am sure affects sales.This works like a truck and is plenty comfortable.I get a respectable 13-14 mpg combo driving (9.5 avg w/trailer)not bad for a 7000lb v10.
