We let you know more about us and the kind of special luxury trips we put together for our guests here at Jacada Travel.

Alex :  Jacada Travel, plan completely private, tailor-made, luxury trips, but with heart and personality.

One of the things I love about what we do, and what we can do for clients here, is push the people slightly out of their comfort zone…so we can give people the confidence to do something a little bit different. So maybe they’ve got lots of comfort in that trip, lots of really nice places to stay, but maybe a little bit of an adventure…and you need to speak to someone who really knows their stuff, who’s been there, lived it and done it. And we can do that for people.

George:  We’ve all lived and worked in the areas we specialise in and we really take pleasure in the little details, the special touches, getting off the radar and maybe finding that special little steak restaurant in Buenos Aires that isn’t in the guide books yet. Things like that make us different.

Byron:  I’m sending you to my home country, I’m sending you to my home continent. I often tell clients – it sounds lame but it’s true – this is where I’d take my family if I am arranging a family trip. That’s how I think about it: if this was my family, would I be happy with this trip? If these were my parents, would I be happy with sending them here?

Tess:  We are creating unforgettable experiences. It sounds a bit corny when you say “trip of a lifetime”, but they really are. You know, we have people that nine times out of ten say “that was the best trip we’ve ever done”.

Alex:  All the way through you have someone looking after you, and that’s something people feedback to us all the time. It’s about how they really feel taken care of, they feel they’re in a pair of safe hands, and that’s so important to people.

Tess:  It’s not a cookie-cutter mould, it really is experiential, tailor-made and we take the time to listen to people. It sounds obvious but we actually really do care. You know, we really want our clients to have the best time possible. It’s important to us.

Alex:  What makes a Jacada trip special are the people that you meet on the trip and the care and the passion that everybody puts into it. From the travel designers, to the guides, the people who are looking after you in the hotel, every step of the way they are passionate about travel, but also about doing a great job. They really know what responsibility they have and that shines through.

Kate :  I think, when you go away and travel, you remember that forever, and it’s great to think that we are creating really special memories for people.

Jacada Travel revived by Wilderness Safaris

Wilderness Safaris has bought the Jacada Travel brand and is to operate a revived version of the luxury tour operator.

The new owner says Jacada Travel will have “the same name, service and worldwide destinations” as the company that ceased trading as it entered administration in May .

It joins the portfolio of Wilderness Safaris, and will become the luxury African operator’s first consumer-facing brand.

Jacada will not sell via the trade initially, but Wilderness Safaris said it may do ‘at some point in the future’.

Wilderness said the two brands “have long been aligned in their vision of a more thoughtful, responsible take on luxury travel”.

Founded in 2008, Jacada Travel bills itself as designig luxury and ‘once-of-a-kind’ travel experiences ‘with a conscience’.

Wilderness has operated for more than 40 years, offering trips to some of Africa’s most remote and pristine wilderness areas.

Despite Wilderness’ African focus, Jacada will continue to offer trips worldwide, including to Latin America, Asia, Australasia and Europe.

“The Jacada brand joining Wilderness Safaris is an example of the creative, positive outcomes that Wilderness Safaris is seeking out during this time of great change for the travel industry,” said Keith Vincent, chief executive of Wilderness Safaris. “Welcoming the Jacada brand to our family is a silver lining in what has been a dark period for international travel.”

Travellers who previously booked with Jacada are being contacted to review or rearrange their trips.

Jacada will support conservation and development efforts in Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as a portion of the brand’s revenue will contribute to protecting more than 2.3 million hectares of wilderness area, as well as the funding of ongoing scientific research and ecological restoration.

Vietnam Cambodia trip of a lifetime

Knowledgeable agents who were very familiar with the cities and sites we wanted to visit. Well developed itinerary. Travel arrangements were flawless, with punctual and informative drivers and tour guides. Hotel accommodations were outstanding. Itinerary included some flexibility on what we wanted to do once we arrived at our destinations. Communications between travel agents and us were timely, informative. Their suggestions made us aware of sites that we would not have visited on our own. In aggregate, an outstanding experience. The agency was excellent and we will use them again for our travels. Jacada did a great job on our Argentina trip

Buenos Aires: 4 days/Alvear Palace Hotel El Calafate: 2.5 days/Eolo Iguazu Falls: 4 days/Awasi Buenos Aires: 1 day/Alvear Palace Hotel Our experience with Jacada was an A+ every step of the way. Lily and Melanie worked with us prior to the trip in every detail of the planning. They asked great questions about our interests and what we were hoping to focus on during our time in Argentina. They arranged all of our guides and Argentina flights, restaurant reservations and accommodations. All of our guides were informative and on time and were already aware of our interests and itineraries. Monica, our main contact and transport guide in Buenos Aires was amazing. She escorted us through the airports from the car through the check-in process all the way to the security points making sure the luggage destinations and flights were correct. She pointed out restaurants near the hotel that turned out to be our “go to” places to eat near the hotel. Fervor, just around the corner is even a Michelin mention and well worth going to. The number of days in each place was just right. We had enough time to learn from our guides and also have some time on our own to explore or just relax in the most beautiful lodges. I would highly recommend a repeat of our itinerary and using Jacada for anyone who wants to get a great first experience and an overview of Argentina.

Ellie put together an exciting…

Ellie put together an exciting itinerary with all the sights that I needed to see. Staying at the hotels for at least 3 nights kept the fatigue to a minimum, and all the hotels were terrific with comfortable beds and climate controlled rooms. The breakfasts were wonderful with great fresh fruit and tasty pastries. The guides were always on time and escorted me as far as they could in the airports. In all, it was a terrific trip!

Vietnam Tour

The Jacada team did a great job planning our Vietnam trip. They selected nice upscale hotels, the guides were experienced, informative, professional with good English language skills and the tour activities sites we visited as selected by the Jacada team were good, interesting and varied and included some non-traditional choices (such as Vespa riding in Ho Chi Minh City) that that were some of the highlights of our trip. The Jacada team added a personal touch by staying in touch during our tour, leaving notes, adding surprises such as complimentary massages at two of our stops and arranging a birthday cake to be delivered to the room for the birthday of one of our group. We plan to use Jacada to plan future trips and will be recommending Jacada to our friends.

A Luxury Trip to Costa Rica

We requested an itinerary to see the Costa Rica wildlife. Jacada designed our trip to maximize our sightings with stays at wonderful properties. Our planner listened to what we wanted and delivered the perfect trip for our needs. All of the activities planned were provided by guides with great skill and knowledge. And the Jacada ground support while we were in county was excellent, both in timeliness and substance. We plan to book with Jacada again.

Meg and Rita put together a trip to…

Meg and Rita put together a trip to Portugal on very short notice for my husband and me. Every moment was special. We loved every driver, every guide, every hotel stay, all the restaurants, and so much more. We do not have any criticisms, only positive remarks. Our time in Lisbon was extremely enjoyable. Next we stayed in the Duoro Valley and it was very peaceful and beautiful. Our final stay was in Porto. Porto is a culturally rich city. Perfect, well balanced, culturally rich Family Vacation of a lifetime

We went to Marrakesh, Essaouira and Oualidia with Jacada. Our only regret was not having had more time to spend in Morocco. It was absolutely magical. James from Jacada must have been able to read our mind putting the perfect vacation together, which not only the adults but also our 6 and 10 year old boys enjoyed. Everybody we came in contact with was absolutely professional, kind, flexible and kid-friendly. We always felt safe, well taken care of and in good hands. I usually do all my own travel planning…

I usually do all my travel planning independently but found myself desperately in need of time away, without the time to actually plan the trip. I did some research and settled on Jacada based on their other excellent reviews. I used Jacada to help me plan my first trip to SE Asia (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for 2.5 weeks), which was also my first long solo trip overseas. Everything was seamless. Leanne, my travel planner, and Grace, my concierge, listened to what I envisioned for my trip and made it happen. I didn't have to think about a thing on my trip and it was a refreshing, wonderful experience! The local travel guides were great, especially in Thailand and Cambodia. I was treated to amazing experiences that were far from the typical tourist, crowded excursions and made me feel truly special. It wasn't cheap but you really get what you pay for and I feel it was worth it, a good value all things considered.

Colombia 2024: Beautiful, Stress Free Trip

I spent 9 days traveling solo in Colombia, specifically Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena. The trip was planned so thoughtfully and thoroughly, and they took into consideration all of my feedback and interests. From hotels to restaurants, to tours, everything exceeded my expectations. Lily and Berni were great to work with, and always available to discuss the details of the trip, if needed. They carefully curated a beautiful list of boutique hotels that had all of the amenities I wanted. And booked a few restaurants with all of my "wants" included. The tours were very well planned out, with expert tour guides, who were personable and thoughtful. The English speaking guides and drivers were all on time/early when picking me up/dropping me off at the airport and for all excursions, which I greatly appreciated. I went to three cities in Colombia, and they booked all of the internal flights. They sent me my boarding pass a few hours before my trips, my guides took me into each airport, and made sure I got to where I needed to go. Their knowledge and passion for their cities was infectious, and made the experience that much more interesting and personal. There was also a 24/7 What's App group while away, which was a wonderful way to stay in touch and get immediate responses, if needed. Olga and Jessica were my contacts in Colombia, and they were super responsive, helpful and lovely. If you're thinking about booking a trip with Jacada, just do it, you won't be disappointed!

20th Wedding Anniversary Trip with…

20th Wedding Anniversary Trip with Jacada to Maldives. Kate and Gilda did an excellent job helping us plan for this special trip. The advice and execution were both top notch. Ultimately we chose Six Senses in the Maldives and split our time between a Beach Villa with Pool and the Overwater Sunset Laamu Villa with Pool. Both villas were special in their own way. The staff and service were also top notch. This is our second trip with Jacada after using them for a trip to Bali back in 2018. We will certainly be planning more.

Jacada planned a perfect honeymoon trip for us. They tailored our trip to our preferences all along the way, down to our favorite foods and wines. There was always someone available to communicate in between destinations, which made it stress free. I wouldn’t have done this trip any other way. Would highly recommend.

From start to finish, everything was taken care of. The choice of accommodations was amazing. The guides were all really knowledgeable and friendly. The drivers the same. Every transport was prompt. The couple times we had to call the on site number for assistance, it was answered immediately and our concerns addressed. I have booked several trips with Jacada…

I have booked several trips with Jacada Travel and they have all been exemplary! They helped advise me of places and activities that I may not have thought of and they coordinate all in-country travel making it very easy to get around. The guides they have arranged for us have all been very knowledgeable and helpful with learning about the culture and people of the places we are visiting. They also find the most unique and special accomodations- from special lodges to boutique hotels that most people wouldn't know about. Iceland Christmas trip

My family of 4 adults (2 adult sons) went to Iceland over the Xmas holidays from 12/21/23-12/27/23. The trip was outstanding! One of the best trips we have had as a family. There is so much to see and do in Iceland especially if you are looking for “action/adventure” type of activities, and especially in the winter. The country is also breathtakingly beautiful. Jacada was great in helping to organize the trip which was done somewhat 11th hour (in late October) and in the midst of an active volcano. The travel coordinator and concierge (Meg and Anna) were extremely organized/knowledgeable/easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. They made great recommendations on hotels , activities, and restaurants. They also promptly answered all of our questions re the volcano situation, worked to assure us that the trip would be safe, and made necessary adjustments before and during the trip when certain areas (like the Blue Lagoon) were closed. Our guide, Svenni, who was with us as guide/chauffeur the entire trip, was outstanding! He has a HUGE personality, tells amazing stories, has a great playlist to listen to while traveling, and knows Iceland inside out. We called him the “jewel of the trip” he was so accommodating, knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. The four of us agreed that we would definitely like to return to Iceland in the future and would definitely consider using Jacada again as a trip organizer on future trips.

Two amazing weeks in Greece

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Greece. Our experience with Jacada was great from the start. They listened to our wish list. Provided some good feedback, and helped us put together a wonderful itinerary customized to our preferences. Once in Greece, our transportation was on time and very comfortable. As with real estate, the first three rules for a great vacation are location, location, location. For the type of travel we do there’s a fourth rule; fantastic guides! Jacada did a wonderful job arranging a mostly carefree holiday for us and the Explora guides and lodges in Chile and Bolivia were outstanding! “Luxurious necessities, no accessories” is their motto and they delivered quite nicely. The Altiplano is a surreal place, every bit as striking as Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. Having guides who help put context behind what you’re seeing, smelling, hearing and eating makes the whole trip come together. Three things we should have done differently: (1) Don’t wait to schedule your Yellow Fever vaccine. It isn’t like a flu shot. You can’t just get it from your local GP. You need to go to a travel medicine location and they aren’t open every day. (2) Bring 2 copies of all the paperwork you’re told to bring for your visa in Bolivia, one set for each person. — Passport - 2 extra passport photos - bank statement - travel itinerary - yellow fever vaccination record - $160 in very crisp, nearly new bills - most important and hardest to find, the visa application itself. Getting a visa at the border may be straight forward for some nationalities, but it is absolutely NOT easy for Americans. Better yet, start a month ahead of time and work through one of the Bolivian consulates in the US. (3) Do not underestimate the altitude. We live at sea level so we took Dimox ahead of time and planned on two days at 8000 ft to acclimate. We should have planned on 4-5.

Absolute Best Travel Agency!

Our experience with Jacada exceeded our expectations. They were so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. My husband and I started working with them in 2020 right before covid hit and had to postpone for 3 years, but even after 3 years, they were there and so excited to help plan our once in a lifetime honeymoon. We travel to Thailand for 2 weeks. They gave us great recommendations on hotels and excursions that fit our budget. We landed in Bangkok and stayed there for a couple days. Then flew to Chiang Mai and stayed there for a 4 nights and then finally flew to Phuket and stayed on Koh Yao Noi island. All of the transfers were flawless, our domestic tickets were all booked for us. We felt safe and taken care of the entire trip. Not to mention all the little notes left in each hotel from the Jacada staff that worked with us and some little special extras we received while staying at the resort curtesy of Jacada. We honestly had the most amazing honeymoon and we owe it all to Jacada. Thank you so much. We 100% recommend Jacada if your looking to book a great travel agency.

Bank holidays

🌴 We provide 25 days of paid annual leave in addition to bank holidays. At Jacada we celebrate diversity and this means understanding that each of us has our own beliefs, culture, and identity. So we allow our team to work bank holidays which can then be taken whenever they want throughout the year!

Family Trip to Cambodia

We took a ten-day four-person family vacation in Cambodia and were very very pleased with the planning and the result. Phnom Penh, driving, touring, daily guided destinations and guides... all were exceptional. Our trip was a huge success. We saw Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and temples in and around Phnom Penh all the way to Siem Reap and beyond, bazaar and architectural tours... it was all great including the accomodations.

Unparalleled Planning and Execution

Everything from the almost last-minute pivot to travel to Costa Rica and the execution of the scintillating itinerary was amazing. Demi Roberts planning and coordinating was seamless. The Jacada local team accommodated every wish and needed adjustment as did the resorts. But above all, the activities were beyond our highest expectations. Active stops (zip-lining, horse back riding, dolphin watching, hiking) and hands on activities (cooking with locals, coffee and chocolate making) made for the perfect blended holiday. There was just so much to rave about and we were over the top thrilled with all the attention and planning that Demi gave us in the planning and execution. All three generations loved every minute of a memorable adventure. THANK YOU JACADA!! We'll be back!

25th Anniversary trip to Chile & Bolivia

Jacada helped us plan a 25th wedding anniversary that we will remember! Our trip to Chile (Atacama desert) and Bolivia (lagoons, flamingos, Uyuni salt flats and La Paz) were amazing. Our tour guides were fantastic in each locale. The salt flats were absolutely otherworldly and a must see! Jacada also incorporated star-gazing into our itinerary by request. The skies were brilliant! Definitely precious memories.

Girls Trip to South America

Delfina and Carlos planned an amazing trip for my mom, sister and I to visit Argentina and Chile. From arrival in Santiago, until we traveled back to the United States, everything was planned perfectly. The hotels were fantastic, we went on some of the best excursions that we’ve ever experienced, and transfer between the locations was seamless. Would highly recommend this agency to anyone traveling somewhere new!

Best vacation ever!

Our trip to Peru was perfect in every way! Jen did a great job laying out our itinerary, listening to what we were looking for and exceeded all our expectations. We were able to experience a cultural immersion that was top notch with the best guides! Everything was so personalized and the level of hotels and service that we received was phenomenal. The one day Inca trail hike was a dream come true. We visited Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cuzco and Lake Titicaca and they were all wonderful!! I can’t wait to book our next trip with Jacada!

Honeymoon of our Dreams!

Planning our honeymoon with Jacada was the best experience. Working with Ellie and her team made the process seamless. They were so patient with us with so many personal life changes that ended up affecting the planning process for a little, but it all worked out in the end. They took the time to get to know my husband and I and activities we would like to enjoy. Also transportation was a breeze, and the hotels they put us in were 10/10. We truly cannot thank them enough for planning our dream honeymoon and we look forward to working with them again in the future. Amazing Africa: Cape Town, Winelands, Sabi Sands, Victoria Falls

We are repeat Jacada customers, and with good reason! Our trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls far exceeded expectations. The Jacada Africa team put together an amazing itinerary for us. The logistics were incredibly smooth, and their recommendations for lodging and dining were top notch. The local guides we had in Africa were so memorable. Trip of a lifetime

We are back home from Croatia and full of gratitude for the trip of a lifetime. We have been many places and experienced many unique experiences. But for what we like and enjoy, we couldn’t have had a better experience. The outline/plan/destination selection was excellent. The hotels were fantastic. The details were executed without a hitch. The guides we had were just beyond exceptional people, let alone fantastic at doing their jobs. Even our drivers were just excellent. We want to thank Kate Herz and Symonne Anderson very very much for creating lifetime memories for us. We want to go back and experience some of the same again, and some new parts of Croatia.

Can't wait to do it again

I've traveled a lot, but never like this! My recent trip to Japan with Jacada exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Working with Lauren and Leanne was easy right from the beginning, and they truly turned it into the most effortless and relaxing vacation I've ever experienced. Vietnam North to South

We had an incredible, seamless experience in our travels, thanks to the Jacada planning. Everything was on schedule, the guides were well informed in all the history of the cities we visited. They were very attentive to our well being and expressed concern in making sure we were enjoying our time. This has made our travels stressless and able to enjoy our time tremendously.

Seamless Experience in Thailand

Working with the team at Jacada (specifically Rosanna and Gita) made for a seamless and incredible trip to Thailand! They took care of everything from start to finish except the international flights (we chose to do that on our own), and it was perfect. They incorporated our interests and preferences into such memorable and fun activities throughout our trip….there were so many fantastic experiences I can’t begin to list them all. The accommodations they booked met or exceeded our expectations. The local guides they set us up with were knowledgeable and fun to be with. Even their local restaurant recommendations were top notch. They were always responsive, and we felt supported throughout the process. We’ve worked with other custom and bespoke travel agencies, but usually there’s at least one small hiccup along the way. Not with Jacada…it truly was seamless from start to finish!

We just returned from an amazing trip from Italy (Tuscany (country side and beach), Venice & Rome) that Jacada Travel specifically tailored to ensure a personalized trip that exceeded our expectations. Don’t leave home without them

Amazing, curated travel planning. The more we use Jacada the better they know us = a progressively more personalized trip each time. They have experts for each continent and consequently there is a wealth of personal knowledge which goes into the planning of every journey. (On occasion, right down to which *room* on a particular ship is the best to stay in!!) I cannot emphasise enough the peace of mind I experience when travelling with Jacada. Every airport or land transfer, every local phone number provided in case of emergency and the responsiveness when even a minor problem arises is second to none. I can totally recommend Jacada without a moment’s hesitation and personally cannot imagine planning a trip without them now.

Loved Ecuador, thank you David

I worked with David in mid-2023 to plan a trip at the end of the year. I started thinking about Belize but as I thought more about it and described things I like to do, David and I agreed on Ecuador. I asked David to help me plan a trip on 3 pillars: culture, great food, and some physicality. David suggested Quito, followed by the Amazon (Napo Wildlife Center), and back to the highlands (Hacienda Zuleta). My trip culminated in three very different, immersive, and wonderful experiences. I did not have time to go to the Galapagos but when I am ready, I will contact David to help plan my trip. I highly recommend David and I will definitely work with Jacada in the future.
