Private Discovery Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control, in such cases any deposit will be refunded. For tours cancelled by clients more than 24 hours prior to departure full refund is paid. For tours cancelled within 24 hours or in the case of a "no show" the full cost is charged.
The relaxed no stress option for those wanting a leisurely day with optional walks. Take the time to explore all the Glenorchy region has to offer. Start the day at a sensible hour hotel pick up 9.00am. Hike to the front row overlooking Isengard LOTR, other short walk options available for your interests. Dart River Valley, Paradise, the ultimate photography location. Picnic lunch at a special location. Afternoon High Country Station experience, 15000 acre sheep and cattle farm. Add on option: Paradise Discovery Tour and Dart River Jet afternoon. Please enquire as to additional cost.

Routeburn Track Guided Tours
From Queenstown we take one of the most beautiful road journeys in New Zealand to the Western end of Lake Wakatipu where the stunning backdrop of Mt Aspiring National Park surrounded by snow capped mountains lies before you to explore.
The world acclaimed Routeburn Track provides stunning variation in vegetation, birdlife and topography as it climbs 6.5 kms one way, on a moderate fitness trail through gorges and valleys.
Walking through ancient Red Beech forest amidst lush ferns lichens and mosses, we follow the turquoise Routeburn River reaching the Flats hut located within a mountain amphitheatre. Time to rest up, soak in the natural beauty and enjoy your picnic lunch listening for native birdsong.
This trail is well formed, we cater to your level of fitness and there will be no more than 11 people to a group. The duration of the walk, altitude and alpine conditions will determine the distance and time we will walk.
This walk enables you to experience the diversity of natural beauty, lakes, river valleys, waterfalls, mountains views and birdlife with numerous photography opportunities.
