Stroller Review: Orbit Baby G3 Travel System

I’ve been a huge fan of Orbit Baby and was stoked to hear they came out with a newer model, the G3. I was in love with my G2 so I couldn’t possibly understand how they would make it even better than it already is. But guess what, they totally succeeded and I am just blown away by the G3. Any stroller that can tote three of my children around NYC is a winner in my book. The new Orbit Baby G3 stroller allows parents to customize their child’s mobility system like never before with innovative infant & toddler car seats, stream-lined stroller seats, bassinets, stroller frames, rockers, storage, color options, as well as the ability to convert from a single stroller to a double.

IMG_0636

Orbit Baby is the creator of the world’s first 360 degree rotating stroller, which features an innovative modular design that allows parents to transition with ease from car to stroller and home. Building on the innovative design of the Orbit Baby G2 product line, the new G3 features an even faster fold, easier car seat base installation, and softer, more breathable fabrics, as well as a number of new color options, which include a highly anticipated, all-black single stroller frame.

IMG_1380

Orbit Baby offers a complete child travel system, from stroller to car seat and beyond. The modular system are designed to take your child everywhere with unprecedented ease and style. With an emphasis on advanced safety and engineering, Orbit Baby is continually recognized for its innovation, ergonomic design and environmentally friendly focus.

Orbit Baby G3 features include:

The mixable G3 product line allows parents to choose from Orbit Baby’s state-of-the-art car seats, stroller seats, bassinets and storage options, as well as a range of colors.

Orbit Baby’s upgradeable system can convert from a single stroller to a double, allows for the addition of Sidekick Stroller Boards for a triple solution, has more easy-to-access storage, and can dock all seat options straight from stroller to rocker base.

The only travel system that allows you to dock and rotate both your infant and toddler car seat on the same car seat base and stroller base.

The G3 features a 60-second car seat installation, a one-handed stroller fold, built-in cup holders, easily adjustable handlebars, and Orbit Baby’s ergonomic dock-and-rotate interface.

The first stroller seat with 3DRotation, which allows the seat to both rotate and recline in one fluid motion.

Clean, green, and BFR-free :(Brominated Flame Retardants), and all G3 Orbit Baby seats use fabrics certified clean by Oeko-Tex, ensuring they are easier on your baby’s skin.

IMG_5775

I really love my Orbit Baby G3 Travel System and my kids do as well. It’s always an adventure when traveling with it, especially when they ride the wheel boards, plus the black frame makes it look just so chic and very NYC!

The list which you have described about stroller is far from comprehensive, but represents a wide range of excellent strollers available in your web at a variety of price points. I appreciate you. i have 1.5 years old baby, i have really worried about my baby. Now i want to buy best jogging stroller. But i don’t take right decision. please suggest me how can i buy best branded Jogging stroller.

Thanks for this review! I am obsessed with strollers and this post definitely gives me the need to check out Orbit Baby strollers! I definitely like the Sidekick Stroller Boards feature!

I’m curious, have you used the upgradable system to make it a double stroller?

Thanks again! Evelyn. http://www.mommystroller.com

Orbit Baby G3 Travel System stroller is perfect for travelling. I have i 1 and 6 4 months baby. I bought this stroller for my baby, when i went to Chicago to Newyork about 2 months ago. This stroller is upgrade version which seat is really comfortable for newborn baby.

I like your post, but personally i like Baby Jogger City Select Stroller, which has more sturdier construction. The only disadvantage is price which is nearly $600. Thanks. Martin.

I think its good stroller for babies. Amazing review

Our Analysis and Test Results

The Orbit Baby G3 car seat rotates on a patented "Smart hub" that allows baby to face you for putting them in and adjusting the harness, and then rotates back and locks for a rear facing ride. The unique deep cradle design provides maximum side impact protection and the interior is lined with premium energy absorbing padding for even more added protection. The "strong arm" mechanism pulls the seatbelt tight for you so installation is a breeze with the turn of a knob. This seat features removable seat cover that is machine washable without the need to rethread the harness. This car seat features a soft ergonomic handle for carrying baby close to you and it folds away in the base when not in use. It also comes with a full coverage shield that covers the entire seat opening for protection from the elements and nosy folks, as well as some added peace and quiet. This seat works with Orbit strollers and we found it to be easy to dock on any Orbit stroller base.

Both portions of the Orbit G3, the base and the seat, are heavier than the competition. Luckily you won't be lugging around the base portion very often, but it should still be noted that it has a substantial heft to it. At over 14 pounds it feels significantly more substantial than the other bases in this review. This is one aspect that makes installing it more of a problem than the more traditionally designed bases.

Ease of Use

orbit baby g3 infant car seat review - the harness release button on the orbit is one of the deepest in the...

The buckle on the Orbit earned the lowest score for ease of use in our tests. It is stiff, but not as stiff as some of the others. Its main problem is the crotch pad gets in the way of using this buckle easily. The chest clip or restraint clip is the most difficult clip to buckle and unbuckle. It is the hardest clip to squeeze and mating the two sides is also hard. The male end of the clip is the same size as the female end and you have to sort of tilt the end to fit in the bottom and then the top. We found it possible to do, but annoying in a way we believe will be worse with a wiggly baby in the seat.

Tightening the harness is achieved by pulling on the strap at the foot of the seat. The difficulty level for tightening is about average, as is the loosening by pushing the button at the foot while pulling the harness out at the same time. The button is under about 3 inches of padding however, so be prepared to go digging for it. If you have shorter fingers this could be a deal breaker.

orbit baby g3 infant car seat review - the seat padding and fabric seem like good quality in the orbit, but...

Installing this seat on an already installed base is a chore and one we didn't really like, especially after installing all of the other options. For starters the seat itself is heavy, add the weight of a baby to it and it starts to feel prohibitively heavy. Next it does not click into place as simply as the usual design, but instead it pushes into the round "hub" and then needs to be rotated to the side to make it rear facing. There is a small window that will show up green if the seat is properly rotated and securely in the base which is nice and helps parents feel confident they have the seat installed correctly, but if parents are in a hurry we think it will be easy to rotate the seat without making it a all the way leaving the seat unsecrued.

Releasing the seat from the base is also not the nicest operation in our opinion. It requires that you squeeze the handles on each side of the seat to rotate and pull. This could be a problem if you are more petite, have a taller vehicle, or have any kind of trouble using both hands. The seat is rather large and it can be difficult to reach all the way around to both handles at the same time.

orbit baby g3 infant car seat review - the handle operation on the orbit is hard to use and annoying...

The LATCH anchor storage on the G3 does keep the anchors out of the way when not in use and does not allow the straps to get in the way of attaching the carrier portion of the seat to the base. The anchors clip into a pocket on the top of the anti-rebound bar, are easy to access, and do their job appropriately.

Comfort/Quality

orbit baby g3 infant car seat review - the only place the orbit shines is for quality and comfort

This seat has a nicely padded soft foam cover over the top of harder impact foam. The fabric itself is soft and very skin friendly, but it does seem like it would get dirty and stained easily. It also feels to us like it won't wear well over time, especially if you have to clean it frequently, as it feels thin and not very durable.

The shell of the seat appears more durable than some of the competition and is covered in a light fabric that gives it a nicer overall fit and finish than the competition. The fit on the seat and shell is better than average, but the fabric on the canopy doesn't fit as nicely as the rest. The handle, as already mentioned, is not one of our favorites and it looks cheap in comparison to the rest of the seat and we have concerns about its long term durability.

orbit baby g3 infant car seat review - the handle on the orbit is awkward to use, but at least it doesn't...

Best Applications

While we admire the attempt to innovate in the Orbit's unique design, we don't think this design is a product that parents will like in day-to-day use. The weight and poor ease of use score makes this a seat that can't match the scores earned by the competition and the high price is hard to justify.

This seat has a list price of $440, making it the most expensive car seat in our review. Given that it scored dead last in overall performance points, we cannot recommend it for those seeking value.

orbit baby travel system reviews

The Orbit Baby G2 is a super versatile, state-of-the-art stroller. It's main selling point is that it allows you to rotate and recline your child in one fluid movement which means they can face you, face outwards or be rotated to the side and at the same time they can be sat upright or reclined. It is suitable from birth to toddler.

The designers of the Orbit Baby G2 really were thinking of the parents when they designed this stroller - it has a wealth of innovative features, many of which are workable one handed. It also has a vast collection of accessories (some at additional cost) - my favourites being the sidekick stroller board for older siblings and the removable Cargo Pod changing bag.

The Orbit Baby G2 really is a show stopper. I have men and women stopping me in the street and asking me about it every time I take it out. The 360 degree swivel and the sidekick receive the most attention.

What we love

  • The smart hub 360 degree swivel is easy to use and so handy when you frequent coffee shops and restaurants as you can park the stroller in a small gap alongside your table and rotate your little one so that he or she is still facing everyone.
  • The stroller is lightweight and compact. It's super easy to collapse - you genuinely can do it one handed - and it folds down small enough to fit in the tiniest of car boots. The pram itself is also very slimline - it's easy to get through doors even with the sidekick attached - but at the same time is a very decent size and keeps a newborn baby well supported as well as fitting a 3 year old in with room to spare.
  • It is a pleasure to push and very easy to manouvre - even one handed and with a 3 year old on the sidekick.
  • The extendable handlebars allow people of different heights to push the stroller comfortably and can be altered dependent on your footwear.
  • It has a key tray and coffee holder for the parents and a snack tray for the passenger!
  • The Sidekick is, without any shadow of a doubt, the best invention ever. Having a buggy board to the side of the pram as opposed to inbetween you and the main body of the pushchair makes such a difference. It means you can walk normally and not have to worry about bashing your ankles, or your older child! Another pro of having it to the side is that you can have two fitted at a time (one on either side) and, being attached to the wheels, makes them easy to move up and down kerbs when crossing the road.
  • All upholstery is removable for easy cleaning which is a big selling point for me as I like to keep my strollers immaculate.
  • Spacious panniers are available (at an extra cost) which are very useful and deceptively large. However these need to be removed before folding the stroller and also make it a fair bit wider so you can't fit through some doorways.
  • The under pram bag/storage that forms part of the Orbit Baby is genius. It holds a lot more than you'd expect and has an over the shoulder strap so you just have to slide it out and pop the strap over your shoulder for easy transportation.
  • It is compatible with a Maxi Cosi car seat with adapters (available separately).
  • The UV sunshade with Paparazzi Shield extension is great for protection from the sun or when baby is asleep.
  • Although it's lightweight, this stroller is very sturdy. Even weighed down with shopping bags it doesn't tip up!

What to look out for

The only tiny fault I can find is that the under stroller storage requires organisation. Although the bag has ample room for your rain cover, bottles, changing accessories and a few other bits, it's not a basket you can easily sling your shopping into. However the stroller does have two separate handles on which you can hang shopping bags plus panniers are available to purchase at extra cost.

Who is the Orbit Baby G2 made for?

Sociable, gadget loving Mums and Dads that have cash to spare.

MadeforMums verdict

This is the ultimate head turner. It's stylish, comfortable for both parent and child and well worth it's price tag.

A single stroller is £620 (plus £59.95 RRP for the canopy) and £940.00 for a 6-piece newborn package - including stroller, bassinet, bassinet stand, car seat adaptor, weather pack (rain cover and mosquito net) plus £59.95 canopy/hood (colour changeable). Sidekick stroller board, £119.95, and car seat adaptor for Maxi Cosi, £69.95, available from John Lewis and Orbit Baby .

Orbit Baby G3 Stroller Review – A Complete Buying Guide

The G3 travel system from Orbit Baby comes with convenient features such as a large storage basket and adjustable handlebars, making it easy for parents to carry all their essentials.

The Orbit Baby G3 stroller review shows it came last among 15 car seats. As Orbit Baby G3 Stroller is this review’s expensive and overpriced car seat, we have many hopes for it.

So, it is very disheartening. This stroller has some excellent characteristics. It also has a gorgeous design that dedicates it as essential, comparatively.

But its working is not satisfactory. We observe and are disappointed in all other orbits we reviewed because, like other gadgets, they also have a nice appearance but could perform better.

We like transformations and new conceptions. But it is also felt that this stroller could be more successful, and definitely, it does not persuade me to suggest it.

With its earned a respectable score of 8 out of 10 for ease of setup, the Orbit Baby G3 Stroller proves to be versatile and user-friendly.

This article will discuss the Orbit Baby G3 stroller review in detail.

Examination And Outcomes:

The Orbit Baby G3 Car Seat moves around a manifested ‘ Smart Hub .’ It permits you to lay the infant in it and manage the harness. It rotated again and locked to bring up the journey at last.

The unique design of holders gives safety from adverse effects. Its outside is queued up with superior power storing pads. These pads also increase security.

The process of  ‘strong arm’  tightens the seatbelt for you. So, its fitting is nothing with the rotation of the node.

In the characteristics of this seat, also a cover of the seat which is discards able and cleanable. Redirection of the harness is not required.

This seat consists of a slushy and appropriate handgrip. When it is not used, it has been bent over.

It also has an adequately considered cover or shield. This shield occupies the total seat and provides proper safety from some factors and curious populations. In addition, it also provides calmness and silence.

This seat assists the Orbit Baby G3 Stroller. And we observe that it is straightforward to tie up this seat with the base of the Orbit Baby G3 Stroller.

We examined about 60 car seats and 29 children’s car seats. Our examination is based on crash testing for every seat. A certified lab does it in the United States. This lab is used for safety certification testing.

What Is Crash Test?

This test is conducted by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

This test ensures the convergence of the car seat or beating of the  Federal Outline (FMVSS213).  Almost all selling seats in the United States must pass this test. Giving the in-test shows that:

  • The car seat is working according to  FMVSS213 .
  • The car seat provides the proper safety.

Orbit is beating the Federal protective demands by a convenient perimeter. But some other involved seats supply a more convenient safety border above the Orbit. These outcomes show that Orbit is only giving basic elementary safety.

The Orbit comprises thin, lean foam and slushy pads than other involved seats.

Orbit has an intensive seat that the constructor professes a rise in protection. A crash test is made to examine the distinction between the qualities of the seats.

That’s why, without the crash test, it is difficult to say that:

  • Either the designs of seats are fulfilling the protection measures.
  • Or they have an extra safety margin in case of an actual crash.

Specifications Of Orbit Baby G3 Stroller

The Orbit Baby G3 Stroller is the lifeblood of any baby gear company, thanks to its innovative features and the satisfaction it brings to parents and their children.

Features Of Orbit Baby G3 Stroller

Orbit Baby G3 Stroller Review

There are several features of this stroller which are described below:

1.      Large Canopy

The Orbit Baby G3 stroller comprises a particular type of rough stuff/ fabric.

The canopy of this stroller is unique because it possesses  three large panels , which provide extra protection when you move the canopy down to the bumper bar.

It is made with unique, environmentally friendly Oeko-Tex® certified material. In addition, this stroller’s canopy is  UPS 50+.

This canopy will provide you with different shades as you change the color of your baby stroller . Thus, you can get up to  seven sunshades.

The main drawback of this canopy is the absence of a peekaboo window.

2.      Adjustable Handlebars

Two adjustable handlebars can be raised about  40″ to 46.5″  from the ground. The typical design of these handlebars is designed by ergonomics and is protected with soft foams.

3.      Cup Holders

Orbit Baby G3 stroller reviews show that it contains two cup holders. These two cup holders are present in between the handlebars.

You place your baby feeder and drinks in it. These cup holders are a blessing to me because these cup holders are strong enough to support my shopping bags.

Many times, I hung my shopping bags with these handlebars.

4.      Rotatable Car Seat:

Orbit Baby G3 Stroller Review

This is the most adorable feature of the Orbit Baby G3 stroller. Please know that this stroller is reversible . The most exciting part of this stroller is that its seat is  about 360 degrees rotatable.

You can alter the direction of the stroller’s seat without picking the baby out of the stroller.

There are two levers on the stroller’s frame. You can easily change your baby’s stroller seat direction by squeezing and turning the lever.

You can also adjust the height of this stroller’s seat to a traditional hotel chair. You must rotate the seat to one side and close it to the dining table.

You know this is the only stroller in the market whose seat is  360 rotatable.

The dimension of this seat includes  13.5 inches in width, 21 inches back seat, and 23 inches from the back of the seat to the top of the stroller’s canopy.

This seat can bear weight up to  50 lbs.  You can easily recline this seat by following the lever-pulling method described above.

There strollers’ seat is covered with soft cotton pads. It is best for ventilation in the summer season. You can remove and wash it in the washing machine.

Orbit Baby G3 Stroller Review

5.      Infant Seat Insertion

An infant insert is possible in this stroller. The seat is covered with soft pads, providing extra support for your baby. As your little one grows, you can remove it.

6.      Mesh Seat Panel

This mesh seat panel is a blessing in hot summers because most people live in hot environments, and the earth is getting hot because of  Global warming .

This mesh seat panel is in the back of the stroller’s seat and is responsible for air passage in settings.

7.      Adjustable 5-Point Attachment.

Orbit Baby G3 stroller review shows that it contains a  5-point adjustable harness.  A center-release buckle is also present in it. It causes ease for parents but is difficult for infants.

There are about three types of buttons on the stroller: one is red, and two are black. You must simultaneously press the red button and crowd both black buttons to release the harness.

My likeness point for this harness, the straps are appropriately associated with shoulder straps, and there is no need to connect them. This thing will protect you from getting worried and save time.

8.      Modifiable Footrest

This stroller contains an adjustable footrest which means you can adjust it up and down according to your baby’s requirements; this is not a part of the stroller’s seat, so it cannot provide flat space for a smaller baby.

9.      Compressible Basket

There are two options in the stroller’s basket: Cargo Pad or Cargo Basket.

  • It is a small storage option and doubles as a diaper bag. There are many small pockets on the sides of this pocket, and you usually notice these small pockets in each diaper bag.
  • The main key feature of a cargo bag is that you can pack it for routine use and use this Cargo pad with a diaper bag. You can also confer it beneath the stroller’s seat when you do not need it.
  • Its typical weight capacity is about 5 lbs.

Cargo Basket

  • The ordinary Cargo Basket is a roomy storage option. You can place your baby’s large-size diaper in it.
  • Its typical weight capacity is also 5 lbs.
  • This basket is meant for storage, but you can approach it from the back and front sides.
  • Two tiny zipper pockets are on the sides, and you can place small things in them.

10.  Extra Storage Option

Are you aware of the stroller pannier? The Orbit Baby G3 stroller review shows that it contains a stroller pannier called “ A side basket,”  It is best for you if you want to go shopping with your baby.

This stroller has an extra storage option to accommodate weights up to 4.5 lbs. It is attached to both sides of the stroller.

11.  Stroller’s Wheels

Orbit Baby G3 Stroller Review

There are four wheels in this stroller. The ordinary dimensions of these wheels are about  9 inches back  and  6.5 inches  front wheels.

The front wheels of this stroller are rotatable, but you can lock it in a straight position for stability.

This stroller cannot roll on rough surfaces, so we can say that it is not a terrain stroller. The wheels are made up of rubber and possess standard size.

You can roll it on irregular surfaces and carry it in the park for a long walk. You can’t imagine I moved it on an odd and grassy surface, and this stroller did not show me any problem while driving on the ground.

Suppose you compare this stroller with another same stroller type of stroller. In such a case, you can judge that this stroller is much better than any ordinary stroller.

UPPABaby and Britax B-Ready have  11 inches  back wheels. That’s why I loved to see large-size wheels on the backside.

Anterior wheel suspension

The Orbit Baby G3 Stroller review shows that it contains Quadshock™ front-wheel suspension, which is helpful for an easy ride.

12.  Flip-Flop-Friendly Brake.

You might be happy that this stroller’s brakes are flip-flop friendly.

There are two veiled pedals. One is a red pedal meant for locking. The other one is a green pedal meant for unlocking the brakes.

13.  Ease Of Folding

Like other ordinary strollers, it is also much easy to fold. Still, the main drawback of this stroller is, you must remove the stroller’s seat before the frame folding.

It is much easier to fold this stroller in one hand, and you can make it possible by meandering the crossbar in the back and lifting the stroller.

There is an automatic lock. At an early stage, you will think it is much bulky and challenging to fold because you must remove the stroller’s seat.

Believe me, once you remove the stroller’s seat and place it on its frame, you will notice it is a little compressed.

It will cover a large storage area because all convertible strollers occupy a large surface area.

Its folded dimensions are:

  • 25-inch length
  • 15.5-inch width
  • 13-inch height.

Remember, this stroller’s unfolding dimension is  24 inches,  and its folded dimension is  15.5 inches.

14.  Weight

Now we will discuss the weight feature of this stroller. The average weight of this stroller, with seat and basket attached, is about  26 lbs.

Note that when you remove the stroller’s heart before the stroller’s foldin g, you do not need to lift the whole weight of about  30 lbs.

This weight includes  10 lbs  of your little one’s weight and about  19 lbs.  of your stroller’s weight with basket and frame. In my view, everyone can lift this stroller.

15.  Bumper Bar

This stroller contains a bumper bar. This bumper bar is easily cleanable; you can remove it for cleaning purposes.

16.  Food Tray

A food tray must be present in each stroller, and it is present on the right side of your stroller’s bumper bar.

In addition, you can also rotate it side away when not needed. The thing I like most is the presence of two plastic compartments covered with plastic.

17.  Bassinet Option

I love this orbit baby G3 stroller bassinet. It is light in weight and transportable. Moreover, it provides extra space for your baby to sleep and remain comfortable.

This stroller’s bassinet is about  10 lbs,  and you can stop it on any Orbit stroller by creating a beautiful pram.

The bassinet option of this stroller contains a mattress present in it. It allows the ventilation or exchange of air.

In addition, a soft touch airable cloth is responsible for keeping your baby’s skin dry and protected from the temperature.

Its folded dimension is about  6 inches,  making it easy to transport. It also contains a detachable cover to keep your baby’s body warm and protected.

This bassinet is best for your baby from birth to weight up to  20 lbs.

This stroller’s canopy has a full-cover sunshade, so it is enough to protect your baby from sun, light rain, and airstream harm.

18.  Travel System Option

It is possible to convert this G3 stroller into a travel system stroller . You can change the stroller’s seat with the Orbit Baby G3 infant car seat.

That G3 seat can only change with the G3 infant seat, so I want to share something with you.

You are aware of this stroller’s seat and know that it has a circular base and will allow it to  360 degrees.

This thing is responsible for creating ease to move your little one in and out of the car. You will be pleased to know that this is the only car seat in the stroller world that is rotatable up to  360 degrees.

One best features of this car seat I want to share with you is the subterranean side walls, which are strong enough to protect your baby from any crash force and flying debris, including waste.

It is much easy to install, and you can’t imagine it will take about  30 seconds  to install in your car.

Like the bassinet option of this stroller, the infant car seat of  G3  also has a hidden shad that protects your baby from sun, light rain, and gale.

An ergonomist designs the handles of your baby’s stroller , and it will allow your baby to come close to you.

19.  Binary Mode Option

Helix Plus Double Kit is best for changing your baby’s single stroller into a double stroller .

You can upgrade your baby’s stroller just because of a unique frame with two wheels sliding into the structure of your baby’s stroller.

The Helix kit also contains adjustable handlebars and two cup holders to replace the original handlebars.

You can easily adjust this handlebar up to  45 inches from the ground  from  35 inches.

This helix kit works with all orbit baby strollers, which includes G3 Toddler Car Seat, G3 Stroller Seat, G3 Infant Car Seat, and G3 Bassinet. 12 combinations make your baby comfortable and happy.

  • – Sidekick Stroller Board Option

The stroller board is my favorite accessory for my baby stroller. Other panel attaches to the crossbars, but this stroller is unique from others because it ascribes to the wheels.

This stroller board is enough for your baby, and if you are required two panels, you can attach them to the back wheels of the stroller.

It also contains a handlebar for your little one and attaches to one side of the stroller’s frame. It is easy to attach the board.

Moreover, you can leave it when folding the stroller .

21.  Ease Of Installation Of LATCH

When we discuss the ease of installation of the LATCH system in the Orbit Baby G3 stroller, I will give it a score of  6 out of 10.

This is not a good average for this type of stroller group. Using the LATCH system of Graco SnugRide Classic Connect is much more challenging, and I will score a  maximum of 3 out of 10.

Cybex Aton 2 and UPPAbaby Mesa strollers are two types of strollers that are easy to install, and I will score them  9 out of 10.

As you know, there are two options for Orbit G3 stroller, named base and seat, which are too heavy than the competition.

Mostly you had no concern with the base of the stroller, and most people do not show any interest in the base of G3.

Bases of other strollers are lighter, but this stroller base is too heavy, and its typical weight is about  14 pounds.

The heavy weight of this stroller base makes it challenging for a person to install the LATCH and start annoying people. Other stroller bases have no such problems.

The comfort of the LATCH connection is scored below average. It might not contain a deal breaker, so it scored less than average compared with the other stroller’s straps.

According to my personal experience, it is difficult pretty difficult to install the stroller strap. Still, when you remove the stroller’s seat, you will notice it is too easy to loosen the straps.

Some small clips are hard and protected with hardcore plastic and are meant to oppose the loop clips. There are no chances of improvement in the LATCH System of the stroller.

This stroller’s installation process is too complex, and you need to rotate the knob to tighten and loosen the straps. Moreover, a knob is also required to install the stroller’s LATCH.

It has a security issue, too, because when you pull the knob according to your requirement, at this time, this thing does not allow you to feel relaxed and secure.

You cannot protect yourself even when you move down the stroller’s handle in the anterior of the base.

Furthermore, it is too hard to turn the knob, and my wrist feels pain when I continuously try to fit the straps for protection.

There is the absence of a lever indicator which you can quickly notice and use.

22.  The Comfort Of Installing A Belt

It is slightly easier to install a belt than the LATCH installation, and the Orbit baby G3 stroller earned high scores for belt installation.

The design should feel ashamed because the LATCH system was initially made to make installation easy. I will score it  7 out of 10  because it is easy to install than a typical LATCH system.

Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 and the Phil and Teds Alpha  are easy to install. I will be scored them  9 out of 10. Evenflo Embrace LX  gained a score of  4 out of 10.

The Orbit Baby G3 stroller review shows that it contains a lock that best supports the baby and keeps the straps tight after complete installation.

Anyhow, this lock is not made up of a good design. We compared this stroller’s safety with the wave of others’ strollers and noticed that it is much more challenging to use and approach.

There much easy to thread the strap, and there is no color-coded belt path. You can easily install with a lap-only belt and accomplish with a lap strap and shoulder strap.

Most of the seats rated high in installation. Still, when you correctly install this seat in the stroller, you will notice it is much more stable than any ordinary stroller.

When you properly install the belt with the help of a knob, the belt is much more close-fitted and stable. Make sure to keep your stroller’s strap in a normal position to lock it in the proper place.

The belt is more secure in bench-style mode than in sedan-style back because it provides more protection and is primarily found in trucks.

23.  The Comfort Of Installation Without Base

You will be disappointed that installing G3 without the base is too challenging. I will be scored it  4 out of 10  because it gained the lowest rating than  Chicco Keyfit 30 .

Due to its bad concert, I will advise you to use a  taxi cab  or jet.  Peg Perego  is best for installing without a base, and I will rate it  10 out of 10.

The seat belt is hard to thread on this seat, and the lack of color coding ups the ante on difficulty if you are in a rush.

It sports the American belt routing system that isn’t as secure in our minds as the European method that incorporates the shoulder belt around the back of the seat.

This seat sits higher in the vehicle seat than the competition, so it feels significantly less stable than the other seats we looked at and is wobbly even without the base height added.

Its height was also a problem during installation when the center lap belt on a truck was almostn’t long enough to fit.

The belt guides on this seat act somewhat as a lock-off and help bind the seat belt to the vehicle.

In addition, we had to use a towel to install this seat, and we feel this could be potentially less stable and annoying to carry a towel around.

The last problem is that the belt threading lock-off points were not located where they could be utilized in every situation.

Installation in one of our sedans resulted in the belt being too far down in the vehicle to make it through the clip.

24.  Quality

The Orbit Baby G3 stroller review shows it is much more comfortable and made of the best quality material.

I will rate it  7 out of 10. Phil and Teds Alpha  and the  Peg Perego  are the two main subcategories of this orbit stroller.

With regret, these two types are much better than ordinary Orbit Baby G3 strollers. I will score them  8 out of 10.

Graco SungRide Classic Connect  is less quality than an ordinary orbit stroller, and according to my rating, I will rate it  2 out of 10  because of its low quality.

The unique seat of this stroller is made up of padded foam, which is also covered with harder foam that is best for comfort.

When we notice fabric, we will see that it is made of nice cloth and is skin-friendly. Undoubtedly, it is too soft, but you will be pleased to know that it is easy to clean and untearable.

Your cleaning frequency will not affect it; it shines more when I wash it. You will feel that this cloth is the best and most durable.

When comparing this stroller with other strollers, I notice that it is made up of good quality fabric, and its shell and seat possess qualities that are not present in any other orbit stroller.

Its unique light cloth is stretchable and fits entirely on the stroller. You must know that its fabric is better and works properly on the shell and seat. Still, the canopy’s fabric is not so good, and it cannot properly fit the rest stroller’s part.

As you know, this stroller’s handle is not made up of good quality material and is not durable compared to the seat and shell of the stroller.

The handles are made of cheap material, so I will not rate it.

The canopy of this stroller is also a concern; this stroller’s canopy is made up of average material and is of medium size.

In addition, it has no peek-a-bow, which is best for checking on your baby.

The best point of this stroller is that its canopy provides full coverage from sunlight, and it is also helpful to protect the baby from light rain.

If you want to make a stroller, you must add a small peek-a-bow window in the canopy to check on your baby. The canopy cover must be present because it contributes to your baby’s comfort.

25.  Price Of Orbit Baby G3 Stroller

The typical price of this stroller is about  440$.  I think that it is much more expensive than any other stroller of this type.

Due to this reason, most parents do not prefer to use it. According to my experience, one must not use such an article.

  • This stroller has all-terrain wheels.
  • The fabric is elastic, and it fits properly to the stroller part.
  • Its fabric is machine wash, and it does not tear on washing.
  • You can get the whole travel system, which works with the G3 infant car seat.
  • It is lighter than any other stroller, and its typical weight is about 29 lbs. It is lighter than  UPPABaby Vista (27 kg) and Britax B-Ready (27 lbs).
  • This stroller is much more expensive than any orbit stroller. The expected final price of this stroller is about  $1250.
  • This stroller is bulky.
  • It is not easy to one-hand compact fold. You must remove the storage basket and wheel for folding, which is irritating.
  • There is no peek-a-bow window to check out your baby.
  • The canopy’s cloth is not enough to protect the stroller’s part.

Warranty of Orbit Baby stroller

This stroller’s warranty is about 2 years from its original date of purchase. The basic condition for a warranty is that you should be the original owner.

Available colors

There are different color combinations of this stroller which are given below:

Basic colors

  • Black and grey.

Stroller seat color

  • Black and red

Canopy colors

Canopy colors are

  • Purple

What are the best places to buy this stroller?

I prefer Amazon because of its best services. It offers zero sales tax, an easy and free return policy, the lowest prices, and free delivery.

It provides this stroller in seven colors; its expected price is about  $1250  on Amazon. G3 frame, G3 infant car seat, G3 car seat base, and G3 primary stroller seat are included in it.

It also contains two parent cup holders, a bumper bar, a child’s tray, and a large cargo basket.

The Orbit Baby G3 Stroller is amazing on its own, offering wonderful maneuverability and innovative features that make it a standout choice. The Orbit baby strollers G3 are a remarkable choice for parents seeking comfort and convenience during their outings.

The Orbit Baby G3 stroller Review shows that it is lightweight, and its fabric is machine wash and non-tearable. It also contains a canopy which is best for baby protection.

It does not include any peek-a-bow window to check on your baby. It is a much more expensive stroller in this category. This stroller has a compact fold; you can’t fold it with one hand.

orbit baby g5 infant car seat

Orbit Baby G5 360 Infant Car Seat Review

Have you ever heard of an infant car seat that actually rotates? I had only heard of convertible swivel car seats before I came across the Orbit Baby G5. It rotates a full 360 degrees, making extremely easy your job of loading and unloading your little one for rides in the backseat. And it’s probably the best rotating car seat with stroller out there.

In this Orbit G5 360 Infant Car Review, I endeavor to unearth every little but important thing you need to factor into your decision making. And in the end, you’ll be able to say without doubt I want it or I don’t want it.

Since the Orbit Baby G5 is an infant car seat, the base is detachable. Which means you can purchase extra bases, which in turn makes using the car seat in multiple vehicles incredibly easy.

But that’s not all. It’s also baby stroller-compatible. You can mount it onto all Orbit G5 strollers . And the best part? The swivel feature works just as well in the travel system mode.

Well, it costs a pretty penny. But that’s hardly surprising for a plush infant baby car seat that works that much harder so that your back can do substantially less.

Why Buy a Rotating Infant Car Seat?

It’s the same reason people buy expensive cars: increased convenience and often more comfort. The key reason that nudges nurturers of all kinds to splurge on a rotating car seat of any kind is the swivel feature.

You can turn the car seat an entire 360 degrees. So, you swivel the seat towards the door during loading and then spin it around so that it rear-faces for safety.

And when the time to unload the precious passenger from the rear-facing position, all you have to do is activate the rotational mechanism, grab the top of the shell with one hand and revolve the car seat towards the side door.

With specs and features of the Orbit Baby G5 Rotating Infant Car Seat now out of the way, let’s now jump right into the review to help you appreciate the greatness (or lack thereof) of this unique bucket car seat.

First off, the Orbit Baby G5 Swivel Infant Car Seat is in all honesty an expensive purchase. At $480ish at time of writing, this is no doubt one of the priciest infant car seats on the market today.

It’s a different bucket seat in that it swivels, but is this hefty price point really justified? You’ll soon find out in this analysis.

360 Swivel, Stroller-friendly, and Sunshade

Dock the G5 infant car seat into the insanely easy to install base and rotate it into a locked position. That’s how easy it is to use this seat. The spin is nice and smooth, and one hand is adequate to swivel it.

Unlike most swivel car seats, which are almost always convertible car seats, the G5 is stroller-compatible. If you have the G5 stroller or G5 stroller frame (sold separately), you can dock this car seat in and be able to stroller around with baby rear-facing or facing the world. And it looks really really nice, the quintessential compliments magnet.

Oh, and you don’t need to use a car seat adapter to couple this car seat to a G5 stroller. The seat revolves on the base of as it does in the backseat.

Then there’s the oversized sun canopy to shield baby from UV rays. The material they used for this seems like good quality, and it doesn’t fade as fast as others I’ve seen. Plus, this sun canopy tucks away into a sort of pocket on the car seat shell.

This car seat is FAA-approved , too. You can use it on planes, but not with the base. But at 13.8 pounds, it’s heavier than most infant car seats. But it’s not too heavy that you can’t air-travel with it.

But Is the Price Point Reasonable?

It depends on who you ask. Me? That price is too steep. I mean, you could get a decent all-in-one convertible car seat that revolves at substantially less than $480.

Take the Evenflo 360 Gold, for example. It’s a $329-$399 forever deal that works for newborns and serves them faithfully until they’re ready for the vehicle’s seatbelt.

If you’re looking for a premium quality infant car seat that offers the fancy swivel feature and don’t mind spending more; if you want a versatile car seat that docks on strollers or bases in different cars; if you’re OK with purchasing a convertible or forward-facing car seat in a year or 2, the G5 Infant Car Seat might be a good fit.

But if dropping nearly half a grand on a rear-facing-only car seat makes you shudder even if it swivels, pass up the deal. Pick up something else that offers more value for a significantly lower spend.

With all that being said, this infant baby car seat rotates. And that alone could be enough reason to buy it for folks who worship at the altar of convenience. If you have a not-very-strong back or have a chunker to travel with, paying that much for the G5 Infant Car Seat shouldn’t feel like a rip-off.

If you’re on a tight budget or just like doing more or getting more with the budget you’re working with, definitely buy a different swivel car seat. And the Evenflo 360 Gold comes highly recommended. Check out the Evenflo Gold 360 below.

G5 Infant Car Seat Weight Limits

The weight range for this bucket seat is 4-30lbs. When it comes to the typical infant car seat, the weight range doesn’t get substantially better than that. It’s usually 4-35 pounds.

You should be able to rear-face baby for at least 12 months in this baby car seat, but most babies should be able to use it up to month 15 or a little longer.

Keep in mind that pretty much all pediatricians (and the American Academy of Pediatricians in particular) recommend rear-facing up to at least age 2 . They defend their advice arguing that the rear-facing seating position is the safest strategy to ride around with babies and toddlers.

You get to rear-face for long, but I’m aware of options ( not infant car seats, so we’re not comparing apples with apples here ) that’ll let you do really extended rear-facing. For example, the Cybex Sirona S let’s you rear-face up to 50 pounds while the Evenflo 360 Gold rear-faces until 40 pounds.

Check Sirona S Price At Amazon

If you’re looking for a rear-facing-only car seat and won’t fret if your lovely little one outgrows it before year 2, then by all means get the G5 Infant Car Seat.

G5 Infant Car Seat Height Limits

The height limit of a car seat is another critical metric to put into careful consideration. You want to purchase a seat with a decent height range. Otherwise, your baby could outgrow the seat way before age 2, and you’ll have to get a convertible car seat sooner than you’d imagined.

For the G5 Infant Car Seat, the height range is 19″-32″ , which is similar to what you get from most infant car seats. While a maximum rear-facing height of 32″ isn’t bad at all, some car seats (mostly convertible options) offer a much bigger range.

In some cases, the upper height limit can be as high as 49″. In fact, that’s the exact same limit the Cybex Sirona S, a rotating car seat that also works for newborns and infants, offers.

Harness Slot Height Stats

When buying a car seat of any kind, it’s critical to pay attention to how high the harness slots seat. For most infant car seats, the highest harness slot is found at about 12″ or slightly higher.

harness and harness covers

With our candidate, there are 3 harness slots. There’s one at 8″, another at 10″, and the highest-seating slot is accessible at 12″. Now, this is OK, but if you have a kid who’s growing faster and taller than everyone else’s, there’s a chance they might outgrow this car seat between age 1 and 1.5.

One reason I keep recommending the Evenflo 360 Revolve Gold is how high its top harness slot seats. It seats at 19″ vs. between 16″-18″ for many competitors. And can you believe there’s an expensive convertible car seat ( costs about $100-$120 more than the Orbit G5 Infant Car Seat) with the top harness slot seating at just 14″? That’s a joke!

Weight, Looks, Material and Construction Quality

If an infant car seat ever got draws compliments from complete strangers, the G5 it is. It wears a stylish, modern look, and even though it’s pretty heavy it’s one of most solid rear-facing-only car seats on the market today. It weights in at nearly 14 pounds without the base compared to 9-12 for most infant car seats.

G5 Infant Car Seat

If all you have encountered are lightweight options, the G5 could feel like the heaviest car seat ever. But I believe that the extra heaviness stems from the seat being made from more solid, better quality materials and components. The opposite of solid-albeit-heavy is lightweight-albeit-flimsy, and I say give me solid-albeit-a-little-heavy any day.

A Note About Material Quality

I’d love to say that every part of this car seat is premium quality and gleams, but I’d be fibbing. I did notice that the back portion of the removable and machine-washable seat cover is kind of thin and tends to wear down pretty fast. A couple of washes and you end up with multiple holes on the back of the liner.

Aside from this, the car seat is pretty much a work of art and feels like it could last years. BTW, what’s the expiration date of the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat? It is 6 years from date of manufacture . The same goes for most if not all Orbit Baby car seats.

Where’s the expiration date on the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat? You can find the expiration date in two places namely on the rear of the seat shell and on the back of the car seat’s base. This product information label not only indicates the date of manufacture but also displays the seat’s serial number.

Infant Insert: A Limit of 4-11 Pounds

Pretty much all infant car seats come with an infant wedge that provide padded support to the tiny body and head. If you have a really tiny tot, this is the kind of car seat you need.

While most convertible car seats are marketed as being the only car seat your child will ever need, many don’t fit newborns and preemies the way a dedicated infant newborn and infant car seat does.

You really don’t need to use the insert if your baby is relatively big, and even if your baby needs it, you need to remove it at 11 pounds.

You’ll have to rely on your eyes and overall sense of judgement to determine when to take the insert out. Don’t worry; installing the infant insert is pretty easy . Here’s what to do:

Remove the harness covers and place them aside. These covers attach to the harness straps through Velcro.

  • Simply detach the seat cover from the harness and lift it off the seat.
  • Drape the liner over the top of the seat so that it stays out of the way as you work.
  • Then, put the insert into place and position the harness straps on top.
  • Return the seat liner to its original position.
  • Get the shoulder straps from underneath and add back the harness covers.
  • Get the crotch buckle out, positioning it in the slot you want to use it in, which happens to be the one furthest back.

Watch this video to learn how install the 4-11lbs infant insert.

Installing the Orbit G5 Infant Car Seat: You’ll Love This Unique Feature!

Most car seats that swivel are a onetime install, and the same applies to the G5 Infant Car Seat. But there’s one key difference between this guy and its convertible counterparts.

The difference is you can use the lower anchors to install the seat and not need to re-install using the vehicle’s seatbelt because baby maxed out the lower anchor weight limit.

I saw that the manufacturer’s website or the product listing on various online platforms doesn’t mention the seat’s lower anchor limits. If in doubt, it’s best to use the seatbelt to install the G5 Infant Car Seat.

Here’s the thing: this is hands down the easiest swivel car seat I’m aware of as far as installation. The base boasts a unique feature that makes installing this seat more accurate and easier.

There’s an easy-to-operate knob ( StrongArm Knob ) on the base that you turn to tighten the install until the car seat no longer shifts more than 1″.

In case you’re not aware, a correctly car seat moves no more than 1″ either back-to-front or side-to-side when tested at the belt path.

Make Sure to Check the Level Indicator

Similar to other car seats, this one comes with a level indicator on the base. Once you install the base and get it nice and securing with the turning tightening knob, check the red/green level indicator on the base.

If the indicator is red, it means you need to do something to make it turn green. The manufacturer allows users to place a rolled towel or a pool noddle under the base (at the back of base) before installing it.

Here’s a video on how to install the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat with LATCH system . See how the technician works the knob to dial in a really secure install.

You can also install the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat using the vehicle’s seatbelt. One reason many people prefer installing a car seat via the lower anchors is that it’s generally easier than when using the seatbelt.

But that’s not the way it is with the G5 Infant Car Seat. Using the seatbelt is as easy as installing via LATCH.

Here’s how to install the G5 Infant Car Seat with the seatbelt

  • First off, route the belt through the belt guides and lock the buckle tongue into place.
  • Then, open open the belt locker and remove any excess webbing from the system.
  • Next, turn the StrongArm Knob as many times as needed to secure the base nice and snug.
  • Finally, test the car seat at the base to see if it moves too much. If it stays solidly in place and doesn’t move more than 1″, that’s indication that you did a great.

And here’s a video on how to properly install the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat with the vehicle’s seatbelt system.

Seatbelt installations almost always preferred

Most manufacturers prefer using the seatbelt for car seat installations. Why? Because if done correctly, this installation method attaches the restraint to the car as securely and immovably as does the lower anchors.

Besides, you don’t need to worry about your baby being outside of the stated weight limits either rear-facing or forward-facing. After all, seatbelts are for restraining adults.

How to Dock the G5 Infant Car Seat Into the Base

I can’t stop praising this car seat’s 360 swivel, but how does this feature work? Once you install the base onto the backseat (watch the video link above to learn how to do this), simply grab the car seat and put it into the base.

And here’s the beautiful thing about using this restraint: It doesn’t matter the angle at which the car seat docks into the base. Dock it in at whichever angle and it connects to the base perfectly fine.

With the seat now sitting on the base, strap the baby in and then rotate it (one hand is enough for the job) to rear-face baby. Here’s a video on how to dock the Orbit Baby G5 Infant Car Seat into the base .

You’ll know that the car seat has locked into position when the “ red bar” on the indicator located on the base disappears. Which means it’s not possible to make a mistake when locking the G5 Infant Car Seat. Starting your vehicle before the seat is properly locked into place is potentially dangerous.

Great Customer Support

One remarkable thing about Orbit Baby is the quality of their customer support. If you ever encounter problems while installing the car seat or using it, you can schedule a session with one of their dedicated car seat technicians.

The technician gets to help you solve whatever issue you’re grappling in a 30-minute video call. Nothing feels better than dealing with a company whose staffing are helpful and knowledgeable.

Here’s the link where you can connect with a real CPST from Orbit Baby and asks all the questions you have about the G5 car seat. Whether you want guidance on harness use, car seat installation, newborn insert use, or anything else, Jonathan Otero has got you covered.

It gets even better. You can request a live product demo so you can how the product actually looks like in person. Here’s where to book a live demo so you can see how the car seat works to avoid regrets down the road.

No-thread Harness and Crotch Buckle

The seat liner/cover is super easy to remove for washing. And you don’t need to (and shouldn’t) remove the 5-point harness when doing this. Also, when re-installing the seat liner, you’ll find that the harness needs zero re-thread. Nothing sucks worse than a harness that gets all crazy and twisty.

As is increasingly the case these days, the harness has nice covers that make sure the harness straps lie flat and comfortable around the shoulders.

The crotch buckle is adjustable as is the headrest. Oh, and the headrest needs to be spot cleaned. But I did notice that the manual isn’t super clear when it comes to how to use the crotch buckle/where to position the buckle.

The Manual Could be Clearer on Crotch Buckle Use

While you can adjust the crotch buckle as well as the straps, the manual isn’t very helpful as far as how to do it. The instructions simply say that you should fit the straps over the legs by pulling them snug.

And while the instructions are clear on where the crotch buckle should be with the infant insert in use, they say nothing about where to place the buckle once you remove the insert ( at 11 pounds ).

With the insert in use, the correct slot to place the buckle in is the one furthest back. Use the slot closest to the baby’s bottom, (but not under baby), but where should the buckle be positioned after removal of the infant body and head pillow?

You’ll have to figure this out yourself, mom/dad, but you could also reach out to Orbit Baby’s car seat installation specialists for assistance.

Is the G5 Infant Car Seat Worth the Money?

Yes , if you’re looking for a well-made rear-facing-only swivel car seat with stunning looks.

The greatest thing about it is that it swivels 360 degrees. Which is why parents with back issues and convenience lovers value it big.

Another great thing is how easy it is to install via both the vehicle’s seatbelt and lower anchors. This is easily the simplest-to-install swivel car seat ever made.

When it comes to docking the car seat into the detachable base, it isn’t rocket science. Simply get it in at whichever angle, rotate it to face it rearward, lock it into position, and that’s it. There are indicators to ensure you install the base and lock it correctly each time.

What’s more, you can use this car seat with compatible Orbit strollers. And you won’t need any extra accessories such as a car seat adapter.

Finally, it has a generous sun canopy that stores away in a compartment on the back of the seat. And since it’s FAA-approved, you can install it on planes (without the base).

Admittedly, though, this isn’t a cheap infant car seat. There are far cheaper options, but they don’t rotate at all. Also, it’s a little heavy, but that’s because it’s made of super solid and safety-certified materials.

As an infant car seat, the G5 is worth every cent. But it’s not the best fit for parents looking for a forever car seat.

Orbit Baby Stroller Review (2024): Is the Orbit Baby G5 the Best Luxurious Stroller Ever?

Are you on a quest for baby strollers that will fulfill all your needs regarding baby transport? Orbit Baby stroller is worth your consideration, so let’s discuss its every feature in detail!

Hopefully, my Orbit Baby stroller review will help you decide if the newest model, the Orbit Baby G5 is best for your needs or if you need to keep looking.

Orbit Baby G5 stroller is modern, comfortable, and packed up with plenty of great features modern parents might be looking for in their baby travel system. However, Orbit Baby G5 is expensive, but is it worth it ? Let’s find out!

Orbit Luxury Stroller and Car Seat At a Glance

Orbit baby brand honorable features, orbit is a new generation of practical stylish strollers, ease of assembly, compactness, stroller fold, versatility & maneuverability, comfort and convenience, maintenance, baby age and weight, who’d the product be best for, final thoughts, overview of the g5 orbitbaby stroller review.

At first look, this fancy stroller has a lot to offer. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Emily Blunt, Megan Fox, and others have trusted the Orbit brand, so let’s see what all the fuss is about.

A fashionable young lady posing with Orbit Baby G5 stroller - Orbitbaby Stroller Review - Baby Journey

Orbitbaby stroller model G5 consists of a frame and compatible seat. Unlike some other stroller models, a snack tray and comfortable infant insert are included with the purchase.

You’ll also get a snack tray, cargo basket, and support bar, all detachable, for straightforward use. Sunshade offers excellent coverage and has UPF protection.

The seat weighs around 14 pounds, while the Orbit Baby frame is almost 20 pounds. There are excellent travel systems and lightweight strollers with lighter frames, but the Orbit stroller has other great characteristics which compensate for the weight.

One of my favorite things about the G5 stroller is also seen in the Orbit Baby G3 and Orbit Baby G2 models. It is the 360 rotation of the stroller seats.

It allows you to rotate the car seat in the rear, forward and side-facing position without taking the baby out of the car seat.

This newer 360 stroller also has ultra-comfortable memory foam cushions for newborns.

The Orbit car seat and stroller are on top of the list of the most stylish strollers. My favorite option is the rose gold car seat and stroller.

Other available color combinations include three fabric colors and four sleek stroller frame colors.

Another thing moms will appreciate is the brakes which are so well designed you can control them even when you wear sandals or slippers.

Some more budget-friendly models always have bulky brakes, which you cannot press in light shoes.

Lastly, when folded the Orbit Baby frame doesn’t take up too much space, so it fits in smaller cars without problems.

  • Don’t expect comfortable ride on bumpy road
  • Smarthub base compatible with Stroller Seat, Car Seat, and Bassinet for seamless transport (and naps!)
  • 3D Rotation for 360-degree seat rotation + reclining in one fluid motion
  • QuadShock Suspension ensures smooth rides + Compact 3D fold fits small car trunks

Features of the Orbit Baby G5 Travel System

The Orbit Baby travel system has outstanding traits which deserve to be inspected closely.

An important part of my Orbit Baby G5 review is the assembly. Installing the frame and the wheels is simple and takes less than several minutes.

Just pay attention to removing axle packaging. The wheels click on smoothly and can be locked for a smoother ride on rough terrain.

Watch the video:

The G5 model is spacious and your little angel will enjoy riding in it. A car seat is 21 inches tall, and 13.5 inches wide. Therefore, it can fit in small cars as well.

When you attach it to the Orbit Baby frame, the handlebar height can be adjusted between 40 and 46.5 inches. Therefore, it isn’t the smallest stroller ever, but tall parents will appreciate it.

When folded, the stroller has dimensions of 32.5 x 15.5 x 14 inches. Sure, you can find more compact models, but the G5 stroller will fit in a car trunk, even if you have a smaller car model.

Orbit newborn strollers with car seat engineers don’t skimp on quality materials. The newest Orbit Baby stroller, G5 is made from sturdy aluminum, which reduces the weight.

However, the stroller is still on the heavier side, with a weight of 47 pounds when fully assembled.

The maximum capacity of this model is 50 pounds.

A simple folding mechanism is at the top of the list of must-have features for parents.

I don’t make a compromise with this – I need to be able to fold the stroller with one hand because I will probably have the baby in the other!

G5 folds easily in two seconds, but you’ll have to use both hands if you want the stroller to self-stand.

An unknown lady standing and posing with a folded Orbitbaby stroller G5 in front of her - Orbit Baby Stroller Review - Baby Journey

If you are ready to overlook the folding feature, you’ll be amazed at how easy to use the G5 stroller is. It is on top of the line baby strollers when it comes to straightforward use.

This swivel stroller glides remarkably smoothly on the concrete.

The base rotation is easy to use, and you can set the infant car seat to face the parents, rear, or side in less than one second. All of that with the baby inside. The brakes are convenient, and handlebar adjustment is straightforward as well.

For a price tag of $1.000, expect only the highest quality materials and safety. With a G5 baby stroller with car seat, you will get that. The materials are non-toxic and have Oeko-certification.

The canopy is large and has high UPF 50+ protection. Most importantly, Orbit G5 meets the latest ASTM standards .

Another safety feature is the handles on the car seat when it is out of the frame. The seat is well-balanced, and it won’t tip over. When you carry the baby in the infant car seat using handles, the seat stays balanced. Therefore, when the baby is strapped, there is no risk of tipping over.

A mother pushing an Orbit Baby G5 stroller with baby in it - Orbitbaby Stroller Review - Baby Journey

Orbit car seat is made from luxurious materials, which are soft on the baby’s skin. The stroller includes a memory foam infant insert to keep infants as comfortable as possible.

When the baby outgrows, it can enjoy the spacious infant car seat and premium materials.

The canopy offers excellent sun protection and is water-repellant. The peek-a-boo window is not only good for increased air circulation in the stroller. It allows parents to monitor the baby when it faces the opposite of the parents.

Most other luxury strollers offer this. Unlike previous generations of Orbit Baby strollers, a G5 model has a peek-a-boo window.

The cargo basket in G5 is detachable, which is a huge plus. If you are wondering why, think about cleaning!

Other than that, it is a standard cargo basket, which can hold substantive weight. The capacity is 5 pounds or approximately 6.5 gallons.

The Orbit Baby infant car seat has three reclining positions, which is good. But, the reclining system is top-notch! You can adjust the reclining angle in one simple fluid motion. Hold the baby in your other arm and set the most comfortable angle.

Reclining positions of the Orbit Baby stroller G5 - Orbitbaby Stroller Review - Baby Journey

The frame is easy to clean. However, materials are somewhat sensitive, so the memory foam insert is only suitable for hand-washing. It is a minus.

Only spot-cleaning insert with non-toxic cleaners the entire seat to avoid damaging the materials.

You can wash the seat lining in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and with mild detergent. The manufacturer recommends washing the cover inside the pillowcase in a front-loading machine. Don’t use bleach or put the seat in the dryer.

If you have to buy wheels separately, a set of two front and two rear wheels of a G5 Orbit Baby stroller will cost you nearly $200. Luckily, the stroller tires are top-quality so don’t expect them to deteriorate any time soon.

The tires are durable and feature a special shock-absorbing system. The wheels swivel and are fully lockable.

These no-pump tires are compatible with G3 and G2 strollers.

What to Consider Before Buying the Orbit Baby G5 Stroller

Orbit Baby G5 stroller isn’t for everyone. First, the price tag might exceed what you planned to give for a travel system.

But, there is more to consider.

No matter how good the tires are, the G5 model isn’t an all-terrain stroller. So, if your family is adventurous and often spends time in nature on different terrains, you will struggle to ensure a smooth ride.

On the other hand, if you have a growing family, G5 might be a solid option. With a Helix frame, the G5 can convert to a double stroller with two stroller seats. It is one of the most expensive twin strollers though.

The base price for the G5 Orbit Baby stroller is over $1,000. Accessories included are a detachable basket, frame, handlebar, cup holders, and snack tray. However, other accessories such as foot muff, rain cover, net for insects, sidekick, travel bag, and panniers aren’t included.

If you have to buy any or several accessories, it will increase the price significantly. However, the brand allows hire purchases, through monthly rates.

The Orbit Stroller G5 is suitable for infants from birth up to 50 pounds. You can use it parent-facing, forward, or side-facing.

If you have the money and don’t mind spending it, G5 is a great stroller to splurge on. It is suitable for everyday rides to the park and city rides.

The stroller is also great for families with smaller cars because of the compact size, but the weight might repeal you. If you don’t have a problem with an extra pound or two, G5 is worth your attention!

Are you a fashion-conscious mom ready to pay a lot for the comfort and stylish travel system? Do you dream of a stylish rose gold baby stroller? Check out the G5 model from Orbit Baby .

You will get a lot for your money. Top quality, simple and user-friendly design, stylish look, and advanced safety features are just a few things worth mentioning.

However, there are also exceptional travel systems that won’t cost as much as a high-quality robot vacuum. As a busy mom, I appreciate the time-saving cleaning device more than a fashionable stroller.

What about you? Is G5 on your wishlist? Please don’t hesitate to share your opinion!

Review: Orbit Baby Stroller Stroller System G2

by Michelle Lee Leave a Comment

Orbit Baby Stroller G2

[amazon asin=B00328LR22&text=Orbit Baby Stroller Travel System G2 and Stroller G2]

MSRP $940 (Travel System G2), $780 (Stroller G2)

TRAVEL SYSTEM: BIRTH TO 30 LBS; STROLLER G2: BIRTH TO 40 LBS. WEIGHS 16 LBS (stroller frame), 10 LBS (infant car seat)

Orbit Baby’s Stroller Travel System G2 is a modular system that consists of a stroller base and an infant car seat. You can later transition to a stroller seat or opt for the Stroller G2 package that skips the car seat and moves straight to the stroller seat/stroller base combination. The stroller base accepts either seat without needing additional adapters, and the large circular target eliminates any awkward navigating to lock the seat into place. Once engaged, the seat can rotate 360 degrees or recline to a fully horizontal position. The rotation allows you to switch from forward facing to rear facing with little effort and even provides a sideways position, which is great for pulling your child right up to the dining table.

Both seats come with a generous canopy, and the car seat includes a UV sunshade that stretches to fully cover your child and cocoon him in the incredibly plush seat. The certified green eco-fabrics are machine washable. The unique below-carriage cargo pod is removable—convenient for packing the day’s necessities and keeping valuables close to you. The footrest extends downward to accommodate a growing child, and stroller handles extend upward to accommodate parents of different heights. The stroller suspension supports a smooth ride atop all-terrain wheels. With the seat removed, the frame folds down compactly with a single-handed twist of a bar and can be easily towed.

The best time to visit Russia is during the months of May to September. Although Russia is the largest country and weather can vary vastly, the popular cities and locations in Russia will be experiencing a warm weather and long, sunny days during this time.

You can expect to spend around $60 – $80 for a solo traveler staying at a decently rated hotel. This price will cover food, transportation and other fees. For a more luxurious vacation, you will be spending anywhere from $150 – $250.

Russia has a lot of specialties attached to it. From ballet and theatre to vodka and Russian culture, there is a lot to expect. Famous landmarks include Lake Baikal, The Red Square, The Hermitage and Moscow Metro System.

Being the largest country on the planet, there is definitely a lot of area to cover in Russia. However, most of Russia is barren and uninhabitable. For popular tourist destinations, 2 weeks should be enough for a majestic experience of Russian culture, nature and food.

The most iconic Russian dishes include the Blini (Russian pancakes), Pelmeni, Beef Stroganoff, Syrniki, Kasha (porridge), Borscht and Okroshka. Russia is also famous for their world-renowned vodka.

“My trip to Moscow” Review of Moscow

Majakovskaja Subway station

Moscow was an amazing trip for me, the Russian people are very freindly and helpful, they are also generous to a fault. Moscow is the most expensive country on the planet and I did not have enough money to purchase much, but is an amazing experience and to see the sights that we have only heard about on the television is a thrill in its self. Red Square was wonderful, St Basils is out of this world, and if your lucky you will see the changing of guard at the Kremlin. Now about the expence in Moscow, a meal for four in a basic chinese restaurent cost us 145.00 GP equivalent. Dont take Dollars, the exchange rate is very low, best bet would be to try and get rubbles, or take euros they have a better exchange rate and they can be exchanged anywere. Dont hire a car, you will never be able to negotiate the road system there, 3 lanes in the uk equates to 5 lanes in Moscow.

Very positive experience on recent adventure in Moscow. The Warsaw Hotel was perfectly suitable and great location on top of a Metro station. Poncho Villa remarkably good Mexican food. Yalki-Palki also very enjoyable. Amazed and impressed with the power and beauty of Moscow. Almost worth the steep prices for everything. See for yourself-- good people everywhere.

As an English speaking tourist, guided by a Moscow friend, it was not just a holiday: it was a rich experience. Clean city with abundant transport & amazing architecture. Out of principle, I avoided the top attractions such as the Kremlin, which charge double for foreigners. After all, they had already charged me my for visa & then registration of it. Don't try to buy a cheaper ticket posing as a Russian: I did and was caught out when the ticket collector spoke to me in Russian. Before going, I had heard nightmares of crime & extortion against tourists, but I experienced none of this. Admittedly though, my excursions were during daylight. But you will need to speak Russian, or have a guide who does. Also, most of the museums etc. only display info in Russian. Taking photos costs extra.

Moscow is incredible. So much to do and see. Great to visit either in the winter or in the spring (summers are ridiculously hot). Don't miss the ballet or great (cheap!) Russian theater, for those who speak Russian. Many people speak English, but it's good to have a Russian-speaker along to make sure you're not getting ripped off.

The view of the Kremlin and St Basils Cathederal was amazing! The view during daylight hours was only overcome by the night time view, spectacular. There are other "gold top" Cathedral in the background of the Kremlin view. Moscow, in Janurary covered in snow, is a lovely sight as well. If going to Moscow, stop in at the "Red Square" Restauraunt for dinner. Located at the entrance of the square, just a few moments walk from the shopping mall. Cozy little rooms with beautiful flowers and waiters that are superb. During our meal, very delicious and moderately priced, Russian music was played to set the romantic atmosphere. When asked to play the theme song from the famous movie, Dr. Zivago, hearing it brought tears to my eyes. Actually in Russia, hearing the song in a romantic setting was overwhelming to say the least. Moscow is a city I've always wanted to vist. Consequently, I may be bias in my opinion of my experience there. Seeing Moscow with a very pretty Russian girlfriend was probaly the key to a most memorable and happy experience.

Moscow: An Honest Review of this Amazing City

“ You’re going to Russia?!?! Why? ” I heard these words pretty much every time I announced my upcoming trip to the east.

This reaction is understandable. Most people in Europe and the United States have a Putin-provoked distaste of the Russian Federation, which is growing by the day. Politicians claim that Russia’s sole mission is to diminish and undermine western powers to strengthen its own. After all, the name Vladimir comes from two old Slavic words, which together mean “great ruler of the world.” Make of that what you will…

Even the non-political vision of Russia is unfavorable. Most think of a cold, grey, backward place with Soviet architecture or battle-hardened, weather-beaten people. However, arriving at the sleek Moscow Domodedovo airport, I was impressed. I had been right to rebut popular notions of an unwelcoming and stony place.

However, almost immediately after leaving the airport, the ground for my righteous vindication became shaky. Driving into the outskirts of Moscow, my mind drew comparisons to television images of North Korean suburbs. Miles of uniform houses and bleak tower blocks lined the roads.

At the Izmailovov Delta Hotel next to the famous market of the same name, things were not looking much better. Truly peculiar decorations and violently colored walls competed for one’s gaze in the hotel lobby. Luckily, the rooms themselves were perfectly comfortable, though not particularly noteworthy. I’d stay central next time.

After dropping bags, I ventured toward the Izmailovov market for a look at how the locals live. From a distance, the buildings that encase the market are vivid, intricate and quite something to behold. As it was late in the day, the market was empty. Shop shutters were closed and stalls were folded up. I got the same uneasy feeling I get when walking through Disney Land – as if this was what remained after the recent collapse of a utopian society.

While nearly all the vendors had packed up and gone home, a few stalls remained opened for business. All that was left was an abundance of satirical matryoshka dolls containing various countries’ political leaders in historical order.

A tattooed burly salesman came over to me as I withdrew François Mitterrand from the wooden bowels of Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.

“ Where are you from, friend? ” He asked.

Ignoring my response, he launched into a speech about his armed forces days and the political situation in Russia.

“ You really ought not to trust the government, ok? Putin is a dangerous man, you see. Someone’s always watching in this city. ”

The whiff of Glühwein that carried with each sentence made me doubt the erudition of his analysis. Then again… this is what we hear in the news. I was not sure what to believe. After thanking the man and hastily filling Charles de Gaulle with the rest of the presidents of the Fifth Republic, I made my way back to the hotel.

Emerging from the underground we rounded the corner and immediately found ourselves in Red Square. The sight demands you stop and stare.

The insurmountable walls of the Kremlin line the length of one side; halfway along lies Lenin’s tomb and opposite is the lavish exterior of the Gosudarstvennyi Universalnyi Magazin shopping center (or GUM, as it’s referred to, thank God). The architectural marvel of Saint Basil’s Cathedral stands at the south end, with the State History Museum at the other. Even though the foreboding structures radiate a rouge pastel hue into every corner of the square, there is a sense of openness. No-doubt there was a somewhat different atmosphere when thousands of Soviet soldiers goose-stepped through the square. Interestingly, the Russian army still marches like this today.

Walking around central Moscow, history oozes from every spire and pillar. Buildings seem to lean over as you walk past, as if peering down on whoever dares to enter these austere places. For every moment or event in Russian history, there is a dedicated museum.

The quality of each museum is notably high. In particular, the Armory inside the Kremlin holds astonishing collections of royal carriages from across the world and throughout the ages. The world-renowned Fabergé Eggs are displayed here too.

Having wandered around for so long during the day, we had no time to eat before attending the Ballet that evening. Sitting in the Bolshoi, the long day began to catch up with me.

It is now that I must make a confession: while attending a performance by one of the world’s greatest ballet companies, I fell asleep.

Thankfully, I woke up later in the second half and was treated to the final leaps and prances of Shostakovich’s The Bright Stream. As someone who is not a ballet aficionado, that was probably enough.

Feeling significantly perkier afterward, a late dinner was in order. Just behind the Bolshoi is VOGUE Café , a gastronomic outpost of the famous magazine. It claimed to serve an eclectic mix of Japanese, Italian and Russian dishes. Intrigued, we entered.

Adventurously, we accepted the offer of some Russian wine. Full bodied and berried, it was delicious. Our evident surprise led the waitress to explain that Russian food and drink has improved hugely over the last few years. As it turns out, since the United States and the European Union placed sanctions on Russia after their annexation of Crimea, food imports have been scarce. As a result, Russian producers have been forced to meet the demand and quality expected today. As a result, Siberian wines and cheeses now win awards around the globe.

When we left the restaurant, it was late. Only a day had passed, yet we had filled every minute with history, culture and food. The next three days followed a similar format and we continued to make our way down the list of museums and sights. A boat ride along the river is a must-do for alternative views of the Kremlin and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Afterwards, sit on the rooftop Strelka bar opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and watch the 3-mile-long line of pilgrims move slowly forward.

On the third day, we were due to board an overnight train to Saint Petersburg, but there was still so much left to do. Truth be told, it was probably too much for another three days, let alone one.

Nonetheless, I was satisfied. Moscow had revealed itself to be a fascinating and impressive city. While the city infrastructure isn’t as up-to-date as most capitals, the needs of every modern traveler can be met. It certainly isn’t the cold and unfriendly place envisioned by most in the west. Moscow’s winning attribute is its omnipresent sense of untouched history. This is a feature that is so often lost amongst hordes of tourists in Europe’s capitals.

It goes to show: what we hear about places we haven’t been in the news or through general hearsay, we can formulate pretty strong prejudices in our mind. While the political realities may still be ugly, by visiting, you can learn to separate and appreciate the everyday, the culture and the history of a place. On one side of a great red wall in central Moscow, a tyrannical leader works. On the other side, wholly separated, lies a magnificent Red Square where an overwhelming sense of history reveals the essence of Moscow and of Russia. And it is truly remarkable.
