SANDUSKY, OH, USA, June 29, 2023/ EINPresswire.com / — The Federation , also known as the International Federation of trekkers, Inc., is embarking on an exciting new project to build a museum storefront in the Sandusky Mall, next to BAM. This non-profit organization has been dedicated to promoting the values and ideals of Star Trek for over 40 years. With a mission centered around helping those in need and providing disaster relief worldwide, The Federation aims to create a space where fans can come together and celebrate their love for Star Trek while making a positive impact on the world.

This new museum storefront will serve as a hub for Trekkers from all walks of life, offering exhibits that showcase the rich history and impact of Star Trek. From original props and costumes to interactive displays and educational programs, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world created by Gene Roddenberry .

Welcome to the official website for the Star Trek Chronometer program. For many years, Star Trek fans have gone without a reliable, uniform Stardate Time System to refer to, a lot of time was spent researching, developing, receiving comments, and implementing this Stardate Time System. The system was designed for practical application with everyday use in mind, and Star Trek principles, traditions, appearances, and common sense were taken into consideration during the important developmental stages. The result of this hard work and research has produced what is easily the best Stardate Time System available, which not only provides Star Trek fans with a real implementation of Stardate times, but can also be used as a reliable time keeping device for real-life applications.

Essentially, the program is a clock that has the ability to display Stardate time, as well as Earth time, in interface themes based on the technology shown in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: The Original Series," and "Star Trek: Enterprise." It has four different window sizes, so the user can switch between Mini, Small, Big and Fullscreen displays. It can be used to convert Stardate time to Earth time, and back. To enhance the user's experience with the program, and to make each interface theme more realistic, different types of animations and sound effects appropriate to each era were used. The program also includes and makes use of canon Star Trek interface fonts. The settings are highly customizable, so that regular use can be tailored to each user's preferred window size, interface theme, and clock type preference using theme styled controls inside the program.

‘Star Trek’ fans boldly go – to the Mall of America

“Star Trek” caretaker Sebastian Schubert is a bit of a wreck when the dozens of props, costumes, scale models and other items in his care are being moved from city to city.

“I do not sleep well when they’re traveling,” said Schubert, of Vienna, Austria. “That is when you can’t control them. … They’re a big responsibility.”

All that memorabilia from t he famous science-fiction television programs and motion pictures recently arrived safely at the Mall of America’s exhibition center.

But poor Schubert remained sleep-deprived this week.

Schubert is production manager for EMS Entertainment ‘s “ Star Trek: The Exhibition ,” debuting at the Bloomington megamall on Friday, and he has been scrambling to get everything set up in time — and in a manner that is up to zealous Trekkers’ exacting standards.

“You have to be a little nerdy to work here,” said Schubert, who was not a superfan as a child. “There’s no way to install this here without knowing about ‘Star Trek.’ That is the challenging part.”

Schubert has boned up on the “Star Trek” movies, and several of the TV shows — but admits he has yet to wend his way through “Star Trek: Deep Space 9” and “Star Trek: Voyager.” He has an affinity for two crucial “Star Trek” villains, Khan Noonien Singh, played by Ricardo Montalban, and Shinzon from the movie “Star Trek: Nemesis.”

Even so, Schubert is bracing for a scolding or two from “Star Trek” sticklers. A Trekkie once dressed him down for having the wrong number of pips on the uniform of Jean-Luc Picard, captain of the USS Enterprise on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

Schubert took a few breaths and refrained from reprising the “ get a life ” tirade made famous by William Shatner, the first “Trek” TV captain, in a “Saturday Night Live” skit.

“I just say, ‘Yes, you’re right, thank you,’ ” Schubert said while sipping an energy drink provided by a Mall of America staffer. “I learn to deal with this, and everything is fine.”

The dozens of items in “Star Trek: The Exhibition” include original costumes worn by human and alien characters, Enterprise scale models in that iconic starship’s various incarnations, and sets that include the original Enterprise bridge along with the sickbay and engineering deck from “Next Generation.”

Visitors will be able to repose in James Tiberius Kirk’s Enterprise-bridge command chair and have their pictures taken for geeky posterity.

“It is the heart of the exhibition, in my opinion, that fans will like the most,” Schubert said. “Who wouldn’t want to sit on the bridge of ‘Star Trek?’ “

The exhibit is due to run for six months.

The Zeons were a pre-warp humanoid species native to the planet Zeon , one of the two neighboring planets in an unidentified star system .

By the mid- 23rd century , Zeon had been living in peace for many generations , and had developed spacecraft designed for interplanetary spaceflight . Noticing the condition of anarchy among the warlike, pre-spaceflight Ekosians , many Zeons came to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful ways. Sometime after 2218 , a Zeon colony was established on Ekos.

After the cultural contamination of John Gill and the takeover of the Nazi regime by Melakon , Zeons became a hunted people on Ekos. Using the Nazi model, Melakon used the presence of Zeons in much the same way as Adolf Hitler used the Jews of Germany and Europe , scapegoats to be blamed for Ekos' problems and eventually a threat to be eliminated. With the technology elicited from Gill, Melakon rapidly upgraded Ekosian weapons. By 2268 , the "Final Decision", an genocidal invasion on the planet Zeon, was preparing for deployment.

The USS Enterprise , assigned to discover what had happened to John Gill, arrived just before the launch of the invasion against Zeon. The intervention of Kirk , Spock and McCoy roused Gill in time to call-off the attack, and Gill recanted his beliefs to Kirk as he died, insisting that the Prime Directive was "the only way".

The regime created by Gill and Melakon proved to be weaker than their German model. The Nazi government and the " Final Decision " was not embraced by all of Ekos. An underground alliance of Zeons and Ekosians had formed, including high-level Nazi party members who wanted no part in the genocide . Kirk's actions allowed the Zeon Isak to kill Deputy Führer Melakon. Afterward, there appeared to be no impediment to the two worlds working together. Spock observed that the union of the two cultures would make a fine addition to the Federation . ( TOS : " Patterns of Force ")
