Adelaide Metro will provide public transport to and from the city for ANZAC Day memorial services on Thursday 25 April 2024. This will include the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, Commemorative March and the Commemorative Service.

A free and fully accessible Adelaide Metro Digger Shuttle Bus will run clockwise from the National War Memorial on North Terrace to Victoria Square. This service will run every 15 minutes after the ANZAC Day March from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Bus, train and tram services will operate to a Sunday and public holiday timetable. Additional bus, train and tram services will operate on the day.

Please ensure you plan your journey in advance.

ANZAC Day memorial services

Thursday 25 April 2024

Dawn Service:

The Dawn Service at the State War Memorial will commence at 6:00 am.

Commemorative March:

The Commemorative March will begin at 9:30 am from the State War Memorial.

The ANZAC Day March will travel along North Terrace, King William Road and Sir Edwin Smith Avenue to the Cross of Sacrifice.

Commemorative Service:

The Commemorative Service will commence after the conclusion of the march at 11:40 am at the Cross of Sacrifice, Pennington Gardens.

Free travel and additional services

Free travel is available on all Adelaide Metro bus, trains and trams on ANZAC Day for:

• Past and present military personnel who are wearing uniform.
• People wearing service medals.
• People carrying a Department of Veteran’s Affairs identification card.

Digger Shuttle Bus:

A free and fully accessible Adelaide Metro Digger Shuttle Bus will be running clockwise from the National War Memorial on North Terrace to Victoria Square. This service will run every 15 minutes after the ANZAC Day March from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

The Digger Shuttle Bus will start at the temporary stop by the National War Memorial on King William Road and then travel to the following stops:

• Stop A3 King William Rd
• Stop F1 North Tce
• Stop B2 Pulteney St
• Stop D2 Pulteney St
• Stop U1 Wakefield St
• Stop U2 Victoria Sq
• Stop X2 King William St
• Returning to the National War Memorial

Between first service to 1:30 pm:

• Trams from Glenelg to the City and return will terminate at Rundle Mall.

The trains and stations of the Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro is the third most intensive subway system in the world after Tokyo and Seoul subways. The first line was opened on May 15, 1935. Since 1955, the metro has the name of V.I. Lenin.

The system consists of 12 lines with a total length of 305.7 km. Forty four stations are recognized cultural heritage. The largest passenger traffic is in rush hours from 8:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.

Cellular communication is available on most of the stations of the Moscow Metro. In March 2012, a free Wi-Fi appeared in the Circle Line train. The Moscow Metro is open to passengers from 5:20 to 01:00. The average interval between trains is 2.5 minutes.

The fare is paid by using contactless tickets and contactless smart cards, the passes to the stations are controlled by automatic turnstiles. Ticket offices and ticket vending machines can be found in station vestibules.
