The Delaware Spartans are a local travel ball organization in Sussex County Delaware. Our objective is to help create not only better ballplayers, but better people as well.

Frequently asked questions, how much does it cost.

We depend on sponsors, fundraisers to keep our costs as low as possible. Tuition includes 2 practice jerseys, 2 game jerseys, and a hat. Managers set their own seasonal costs, and schedules.

Does your staff get paid?

We are a complete non-profit which means none of our staff gets paid. Teams may choose to hire extra private instructors if the funds are there and if they feel the need.

Can my child guest play while under a Spartans contract?

Yes. We want our players to get as much experience as possible. With that being said, please make sure you contact the manager of your team to ask / let them know before agreeing to guest play.

How many players are on the team roster?

This will depend on the team, and age group.

Sports at the Beach is a family-owned, family-oriented complex. We welcome all ages and make it a priority to offer a varied list of fun amenities. If you aren't a coach, knowing what to expect for a tournament weekend can be tricky...but it doesn't have to be! Here is some information, specifically for families, that we hope will answer all of your questions.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: TOURNAMENT CHECKLIST FOR PARENTS

TEAM & PARENT ACCOMMODATIONS

The best way to get the best deals on local accommodations is to book early & in bulk. We are a stay-to-play facility, and we have partnered with Book Your Block along with team-friendly hotels, campgrounds, and rental partners to give you the most options for planning your tournament stay.

TOURNAMENT TSHIRT PRE-ORDERS

The deadline to reserve your tournament t-shirts is 12pm on the Friday the week prior to your scheduled tournament, and there’s no additional charge to pre-order! It's simple: select any size/quantity (order just 1 for yourself, or 1 for your whole team!) and pick-up in our Welcome Center.

V IEWING THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Every schedule will be posted after 5pm on the Monday prior to the tournament. To view, check our home page for the "Upcoming Schedule" block or visit www.sportsatthebeach.com/tournaments and find your tournament from our chronological list. Click on the "Register" button next to that tournament and follow the instructions to view the schedule. Games can begin as early as 8am on the first day of your tournament, and typically the final game of the day is underway by 6pm.

CONCESSIONS

Please visit our concession stands for great variety of snacks, sandwiches and more satb has 3 on-site stands serving breakfast, healthy menu (wraps, salads and more) traditional ballpark food, snacks, and beverages. concessions open 30 minutes prior to the first game of the day and close at the third inning of the last game of the day..

Yes, Sports at the Beach has plenty of handicap accessible parking. If you need assistance getting to the fields, we also have staff  on golf carts  to assist with getting you to and from your field, contact the welcome center for assistance.

WHEN should I plan to arrive at SATB?

Sports at the Beach hosts travel baseball tournaments from March through November .

Aces Baseball has been setting the standard for travel baseball on Delmarva since 2014. The program currently has locations in Ocean City (MD), Dover (DE) and Middletown (DE). The Aces offer the deepest and most advanced coaching staff on the Delmarva Peninsula and have instructors with MiLB, international, independent, and college baseball experience. The program runs a four-month offseason academy focused on player development with some of the top baseball technologies worldwide. With 170+ players moving on to play college baseball, we are getting our players to the next level. #GoAces
