BRING YOUR PERSONAL RIDING GEAR TO THE RACE WITH THE NEW "BUDDY” TRAVEL BAGS
The BUDDY Athlete Gear Travel Bag series is the athletes best buddy when bringing your personal riding gear to the race. It’s a collection of travel bags that includes a carry on 40L backpack for your lightweight casual wardrobe and a 150L trolley bag for your full riding kit. Both bags are developed to perform in a heavy-duty environment and to provide premium quality and functionality.
Buddy 150L Athlete Gear Trolley Bag
An athletes best buddy when bringing all your performance gear to the race or practice!
Storage is key when it comes to an athlete gear trolley bag, and the BUDDY 150L has plenty. There are four key compartments - a boot and knee brace pocket with a waterproof liner, padded helmet section, goggle vault, and a generously sized main compartment for multiple gear sets, protective equipment and gear to change into after the race.
Enduro21 Verdict
Top marks are awarded then to USWE’s Buddy bag simply because it is doing all the right things and more for anyone who riders dirt bikes. It’s practical, protective, well-built, and designed for the hard life it is already leading with us.
150 litres mean it has easily swallowed everything we’ve needed for multiple days riding and with different compartments for the hard and muddy stuff, your helmet and the main section for riding clothing it keeps everything in its own place, just where you need it.
Enduro21 will keep ticking off the races and trips with this one to make sure we have more to say about its durability over time. But so far, so very good with our new ‘best ever’ kit bag.

Being able to bring his riding gear and content equipment secure and smooth is the key to a factory rider like Mani. Check out his Vlog video when Mani made his premier trip with his new BUDDY bags to the race Roof Of Africa.
BUDDY 40L ATHLETE GEAR BACKPACK
The BUDDY 40L Athlete Gear Pack is a carry on pack for your lightweight personal clothes and equipment. Equipped with a padded lap-top compartment and seven (7) different smart storage compartments that makes your organisation easy for your travel to a race or when commuting to the gym.
The bag can easily be compressed and released to fit the size for your daily use by using the outer straps. The outside of the pack has Velcro strips for ID Statement patches, an ergonomically designed adjustment compression straps with hook-and loop ties for comfortable carrying. The pack comes with the bounce free NDM 3.0 harness that gives the pack an outstanding balanced fit and it's compatible with our accessory the Phone Pocket NDM 2.0
WARM CHANGING ROBE
We made this robe into a stowable changing robe, small when you fold it, oversized when you wear it. The thin waterproof fabric with taped seems keeps you dry and protected from the wind and rain before and after your big race. The inside of the robe is designed with a comfy microfiber liner that gives you the sensation of a high end microfiber towel. The robe will dry you up after a wet race and keep you warm before the next one. Use it before race start or training and directly after crossing the finish line. Don’t use it during races. But, be aware. You will be longing for it during your hardest, coldest, wettest, and most ugly races.

WATERPROOF CHANGING MAT: We’ve all been there - we’re trying to get in our riding kit and keep our feet off the ground, only to lose balance end up with mud stuck to our socks. The waterproof change mat solves that problem, providing adequate room to cleanly get changed. The best part? It discretely tucks away.
LIGHTWEIGHT MOULDED POLYCARBONATE BASE: Gear bags get thrown around - they get abused in hard conditions and get thrown into the back of vans/railers, all while keeping your gear safe. Because of this, they need to be tough and durable, which is exactly why the BUDDY 150L Trolley Bag comes fitted with a tough yet lightweight moulded base to handle all the abuse dirt bike riders can throw at it.

I love this travel organizer
This item is what I’ve looked for my whole adult life. Travel made easy. Love it.
Very excellent quality and I can see how convenient it is going to be on my many travels love it. I’m going to show mine to my daughter and I know her family will be buying them as well.
Quality construction, looking forward to using
Just what I needed_
I was waiting for my next trip before reviewing. Just got back from 10 days of traveling with my "Great Companion", best traveling assistant I ever had. Will order a few more for Valentine's Day gifts.
Great investment!
Well made. Love the fact that it can be attached to the larger suitcase and put one on top. Less to carry or roll. Great to have all important things at your reach without digging for them
I think this is a great product, very well made and durable and will come in handy when traveling and going through check in. I like that I can wrap it around my luggage handles and everything is easy to get.
Worked well holding my tote on the top of my suitcase and I pulled all the might need things like a bit of cash, ID, cell phone, ticket, etc... into the pockets which were easy to access and I felt they were secure. I liked this product.
This was recommended by a friend and I live it. I have a small back pack and always having to take if off to get my papers this takes care of that problem. Easy access to passport, wallet and anything that you need while traveling.
The Travel Bag Buddy is made of good quality, and the workmanship is good. If you are frequent traveler who always lug an additional bag along with your luggage, this Travel buddy will come in handy.
Every part well thought out and constructed. even the snaps on the top made going in and out of customs a breeze as it gave easy (but not too easy) access to my boarding ticket and passport. I also used it flying to and from Europe, on a cruise ship and while walking in Europe both with and without my walker instead of a wallet. I loved that I could easily attach it to my walker or my tote sized purse with this shockingly durable Velcro closure and add another bag or jacket if I needed too and it did not bring attention to the fact I had money or important documents inside. At 1 point I wrapped the straps around my water bottle several times and attached the Velcro part to my purse straps so I could easily carry my water with me in areas that didn't have safely drinkable water. I want so badly to buy one for each member of my family. Please let me know when these are available for purchase again! When I bought this I had not idea how much I would come to rely on it.
At first glance, I noticed it is a sturdy piece of accessory and durable to use. The strap and buckle are a useful feature with a lot of stretching power. I especially love the velcro used as it does not scratch any fabric that accidentally comes into contact with it. I am very satisfied with the product. Hopefully the creator will be creating more products like this.
The Travel Bag Buddy has made life a lot easier when flying. It works great on my briefcase. Highly Recommended!

Travel Bag Buddy vs Luggo vs Bag Bungee
2 years ago I bought the Bag Bungee and used it once before I gave up on it. Then a
few months ago bought the Luggo and spent a few weeks with it before I decided to switch to the Bag Buddy. Unfortunately I lost the photos I took of the Luggo when I had it so I'm not able to do a side by side comparison in the blog so I'll go with the commercial photos for the while being.
Lets start with why I thought I needed a this add on for my carry on. As a women I always have a purse along with a carry on, and sometimes, to avoid wasting time at the baggage claim I even have a backpack on me and all together they are pretty brutal to carry around. Having said that it is not uncommon to see people putting their excess baggage on the carry on while shoving it around the airport or else where to alleviate back aches - I'm one of them. The main purpose of this add-on is that it keeps the bag on the carry-on while I drag it around uneven surfaces, going up the escalator, or coming down a ramp. In a nutshell here are the pros and cons of each.
Pros : Unlike the other 2, it works by strapping it to the vertical handle of the carry on so it does not matter if its a single telescoping handle or the more common double.
Cons : It does not do anything else besides holding the bag on the luggage.
I need to unstrap it to get stuff in the bag especially the passport and the boarding passes.
When you're not using it, it hangs down and swing around so if you don't remove it before throwing it into the trunk or the overhead compartment it will get stuck to something. I was tired of having to strap it on/off so frequently I stopped using it all together.
Pros : Easy to put on/off. The extra storage for essential travel stuff such as passports and credit cards really help reduce the time you need to dig through the clutter in your bag.
Cons : The extra storage has no depth in it and all the pocket inside is very tight so therefore its pretty stuffed with just a passport and a phone so I have a hard time fitting the powerbank. The velcro pocket tab is not easy to open/close
Pros : Easy to put on/off. The extra storage for essential travel stuff such as passports and credit cards really help reduce the time you need to dig through the clutter in your bag. Like the Luggo, you can simply unwrap it from the telescopic handle and its stuck to your bag like an extra pocket. One big difference which i find a very big advantage i the fact that it has depth to it perhaps an inch so I am able to fit a powerbank along with my travel wallet as oppose to just the passport and the boarding pass. Additionally, since its magnetic and not strong velcro, I can easily access what is inside totally one handed operation. Additionally, it also have a zipper pocket infront for some small changes and other small items (e.g headphones) as well.
Cons : The stitching quality on this particular one that I have is a bit careless and thats just about it really.
A well thought out feature that was a nice surprise to me is that the strap is magnetic so when you are folding it back in to keep it, it just automatically snaps into place unlike the Luggo that you need to fold nicely and insert into the elastic holder.
This is the depth of the pouch that makes it different from Luggo, this is a side and bottom view so you can see the extra depth so you can fit in more stuff than the Luggo.
I am guessing this is more of a women thing than men since men are likely to use backpack which they don't seem to mind the weight of carrying it around or a laptop shoulder bag that have a roller bag sleeve.

Our favorite luggage brands make it easy to elevate your travel style . If you need help narrowing down your choices, we have our 25 favorites that our editors have tested and reviewed. Out with the old, in with a new travel bag.
When it comes to quick trips that last a day or two, a duffel is what you need. And Herschel’s Novel bag is, in so many words, the best bang for your buck. Not only is it incredibly durable and spacious enough for several fits (there’s also a separate compartment for your shoes), but it’s also less than $100. That’s what we call a win-win.
Drawing its inspiration from origami, Longchamp’s convertible travel bag is one of the most versatile out there. Wear it as a backpack or carry it around as a weekender, this bag is going to get you from point A to point B with ease. It’s sporty and practical and effortlessly in fashion.
From Karl Lagerfeld to David Fincher to Martha Stewart, all the high rollers can be seen toting this suitcase. It’s got distinctive grooves and an ergonomic design, and it just screams class. Plus, the TSA-approved locks are keeping your belongings extra secure.
It’s also Esquire approved and worthy of an investment.
For train travel, bus voyages ( ooof, we feel your pain ), or even a trip involving a connecting flight, there’s nothing like a good backpack to keep you hands-free and moving at a quick pace. Made of water-resistant nylon, Away’s backpack is a durable choice with padded shoulder straps and a laptop pocket.
Surprisingly lightweight, Métier’s duffel is a luxe option for frequent travelers. It’s thoughtfully designed with specific places for toiletries, sunglasses, a laptop, and the rest of your valuables. A secret card slot in the exterior pocket makes for easier travel at the airport.
In the luggage realm, there are very few that hold a candle to Samsonite. For more than a century (yes, that long), the brand has been churning out travel accessories, always offering quality styles for the day. It doesn’t get bogged down by its history. This soft-shell spinner, for example, features wireless charging pockets and a compartment for toiletries, and it’s made of 100 percent ballistic nylon. It’s also less than $250, which makes is a virtual steal.
Business executives know the importance of a garment bag. When you just hopped off the plane and are running late to that meeting, never stress trying to find a steamer again. TUMI is saving you from wrinkle embarrassment, keeping you put together everywhere and anytime.
We love our garment bags in duffel form. They are practical for traveling with suits or other formal clothes, but you can also use them for quick casual trips. Need more convincing? Check out our endorsement of this one.
In a flexible neoprene, Dagne Dover's carryall is one of the lightest duffels out there. It's got a laptop sleeve, and it also comes with a shoe bag and a dust bag. It also makes for a great gym bag, if you want something that's multipurpose.
We love this duffel so much, it was even one of the travel products our editors can't live without . Converting from a garment sleeve to a duffel bag, its versatility meets a luxurious style for a bag you will have for decades.
July Carry All Weekender Plus
Much like it's name denotes, this truly is a carry-all at its 50L capacity. A large padded pocket fits your laptop, and hidden pockets with magnetic closures keep your smaller belongings tucked away safely. If you are going somewhere for the long-haul, it also easily attaches onto your luggage.
Paravel Aviator Grand Suitcase
Paravel is new-ish to the luggage game, but in just a short time it is succeeding in the competitive market by focusing entirely on sustainability. The brand's collection is not only beautifully designed, but they are also made of recycled plastic water bottles. It also plants trees through Eden Reforestation Projects to offset the carbon emissions it produces via shipping.
Meisterstück Meisterstück Document Case
From the finest writing instruments to regal timepieces, Montblanc offers the kind of items beloved by jet-setters, C-suite executives, and anyone else of that sort. Naturally, this means that its briefcase is one of the best around, and will surely induce envy from the rest of the folks in first class.
Zero Halliburton Large Travel Case
When it comes to luxury, you can't ignore Zero Halliburton. This label is, after all, the maker of the iconic damage-resistant aluminum briefcases, so rest assured that its large spinner will stay looking good while its be tossed and turned from the check-in booth to baggage claim.
Victorinox Spectra 3.0 Frequent Flyer Carry-On
This Swiss brand makes luggage that lasts. Constructed in a high performance recycled polycarbonate, this suitcase is durable and eco-conscious. It expands by 20 percent and has multiple compartments for smart storage. We also love this piece from Victorinox because you can personalize it for no added cost.
Coofay Travel Backpack
Now you can pack for a weekend trip in a backpack. There's a laptop compartment, separate shoe storage, and a USB charging port. Travel compactly and with rest assured that everything you need it right on your back.
Lululemon Command the Day Duffel Bag
Aptly named, this bag is going to be your 24/7 savior. A water-repellent fabric protects against spills and weather. You can stay organized with the allocated pockets for shoes, laptop, and gear.
Yeti Crossroads Duffel Bag
You know Yeti for its coolers and bottles, but you're about to love it for its luggage. A water and abrasion-resistant exterior coupled with reinforced stitching makes this one of the most durable duffels on the market.
Mark & Graham 2-in-1 Garment Bag
This bag is literally a transformer. Going from garment bag to duffel, it helps to protect your clothing with its folding design. The smart silhouette even leaves room for two pairs of shoes to store at the side.
Mack Weldon Atlas Duffle
This reinforced canvas duffle will pass any test you put it through—from the gym to the plane. It has multiple pockets, one that's designated for shoes and the other for drinks and snacks ( remember to throw those out before you get to TSA ), and a slip-resistant bottom.

The bag is heavy duty tear resistant, chair fits in perfect.
The title says it all. After struggling to make it fit for 20 minutes, the bag finally ripped out on the side, making it doubly useless. Just flushed this money down the drain, but it's something that could have and should have been very useful.

No more fumbling around to find important things like phone, passports, paperwork, money etc. Plus, when flying I just took my Travel Bag Buddy off my tote, went through scanner & right back on to my tote.
When you came out with the improved one, I immediately purchased it without any hesitation. Family has also purchased it based on my recommendation & seeing it in use.
Very helpful to have while traveling. Would buy again
I love my new travel bag buddy. It is so much easier to use and I don’t have to dig for my documents. It attaches nicely to my tote and then the handle on my rolling carryon. Makes traveling smoother. It’s so nice that it becomes a crossbody when needed. I have an older version (which I still love) but the improvements are great. I would recommend this to all!

Travel Itinerary For One Week in Moscow: The Best of Moscow!
I just got back from one week in Moscow. And, as you might have already guessed, it was a mind-boggling experience. It was not my first trip to the Russian capital. But I hardly ever got enough time to explore this sprawling city. Visiting places for business rarely leaves enough time for sightseeing. I think that if you’ve got one week in Russia, you can also consider splitting your time between its largest cities (i.e. Saint Petersburg ) to get the most out of your trip. Seven days will let you see the majority of the main sights and go beyond just scratching the surface. In this post, I’m going to share with you my idea of the perfect travel itinerary for one week in Moscow.
Moscow is perhaps both the business and cultural hub of Russia. There is a lot more to see here than just the Kremlin and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. Centuries-old churches with onion-shaped domes dotted around the city are in stark contrast with newly completed impressive skyscrapers of Moscow City dominating the skyline. I spent a lot of time thinking about my Moscow itinerary before I left. And this city lived up to all of my expectations.
Travel Itinerary For One Week in Moscow
Day 1 – red square and the kremlin.
Metro Station: Okhotny Ryad on Red Line.
No trip to Moscow would be complete without seeing its main attraction. The Red Square is just a stone’s throw away from several metro stations. It is home to some of the most impressive architectural masterpieces in the city. The first thing you’ll probably notice after entering it and passing vendors selling weird fur hats is the fairytale-like looking Saint Basil’s Cathedral. It was built to commemorate one of the major victories of Ivan the Terrible. I once spent 20 minutes gazing at it, trying to find the perfect angle to snap it. It was easier said than done because of the hordes of locals and tourists.
As you continue strolling around Red Square, there’s no way you can miss Gum. It was widely known as the main department store during the Soviet Era. Now this large (yet historic) shopping mall is filled with expensive boutiques, pricey eateries, etc. During my trip to Moscow, I was on a tight budget. So I only took a retro-style stroll in Gum to get a rare glimpse of a place where Soviet leaders used to grocery shop and buy their stuff. In case you want some modern shopping experience, head to the Okhotny Ryad Shopping Center with stores like New Yorker, Zara, and Adidas.

To continue this Moscow itinerary, next you may want to go inside the Kremlin walls. This is the center of Russian political power and the president’s official residence. If you’re planning to pay Kremlin a visit do your best to visit Ivan the Great Bell Tower as well. Go there as early as possible to avoid crowds and get an incredible bird’s-eye view. There are a couple of museums that are available during designated visiting hours. Make sure to book your ticket online and avoid lines.
Day 2 – Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the Arbat Street
Metro Station: Kropotkinskaya on Red Line
As soon as you start creating a Moscow itinerary for your second day, you’ll discover that there are plenty of metro stations that are much closer to certain sites. Depending on your route, take a closer look at the metro map to pick the closest.
The white marble walls of Christ the Saviour Cathedral are awe-inspiring. As you approach this tallest Orthodox Christian church, you may notice the bronze sculptures, magnificent arches, and cupolas that were created to commemorate Russia’s victory against Napoleon.
How to Get a Decent Haircut in a Foreign Country
Unfortunately, the current Cathedral is a replica, since original was blown to bits in 1931 by the Soviet government. The new cathedral basically follows the original design, but they have added some new elements such as marble high reliefs.
Home to some precious collection of artworks, in Tretyakov Gallery you can find more than 150,000 of works spanning centuries of artistic endeavor. Originally a privately owned gallery, it now has become one of the largest museums in Russia. The Gallery is often considered essential to visit. But I have encountered a lot of locals who have never been there.
Famous for its souvenirs, musicians, and theaters, Arbat street is among the few in Moscow that were turned into pedestrian zones. Arbat street is usually very busy with tourists and locals alike. My local friend once called it the oldest street in Moscow dating back to 1493. It is a kilometer long walking street filled with fancy gift shops, small cozy restaurants, lots of cute cafes, and street artists. It is closed to any vehicular traffic, so you can easily stroll it with kids.
Day 3 – Moscow River Boat Ride, Poklonnaya Hill Victory Park, the Moscow City
Metro Station: Kievskaya and Park Pobedy on Dark Blue Line / Vystavochnaya on Light Blue Line
Voyaging along the Moscow River is definitely one of the best ways to catch a glimpse of the city and see the attractions from a bit different perspective. Depending on your Moscow itinerary, travel budget and the time of the year, there are various types of boats available. In the summer there is no shortage of boats, and you’ll be spoiled for choice.
Travel Itinerary for One Week in Beijing
If you find yourself in Moscow during the winter months, I’d recommend going with Radisson boat cruise. These are often more expensive (yet comfy). They offer refreshments like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and, of course, alcoholic drinks. Prices may vary but mostly depend on your food and drink selection. Find their main pier near the opulent Ukraine hotel . The hotel is one of the “Seven Sisters”, so if you’re into the charm of Stalinist architecture don’t miss a chance to stay there.
The area near Poklonnaya Hill has the closest relation to the country’s recent past. The memorial complex was completed in the mid-1990s to commemorate the Victory and WW2 casualties. Also known as the Great Patriotic War Museum, activities here include indoor attractions while the grounds around host an open-air museum with old tanks and other vehicles used on the battlefield.
How I Planned My Trip to Vietnam
The hallmark of the memorial complex and the first thing you see as you exit metro is the statue of Nike mounted to its column. This is a very impressive Obelisk with a statue of Saint George slaying the dragon at its base.
Maybe not as impressive as Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower , the skyscrapers of the Moscow City (otherwise known as Moscow International Business Center) are so drastically different from dull Soviet architecture. With 239 meters and 60 floors, the Empire Tower is the seventh highest building in the business district.
The observation deck occupies 56 floor from where you have some panoramic views of the city. I loved the view in the direction of Moscow State University and Luzhniki stadium as well to the other side with residential quarters. The entrance fee is pricey, but if you’re want to get a bird’s eye view, the skyscraper is one of the best places for doing just that.
Day 4 – VDNKh, Worker and Collective Farm Woman Monument, The Ostankino TV Tower
Metro Station: VDNKh on Orange Line
VDNKh is one of my favorite attractions in Moscow. The weird abbreviation actually stands for Russian vystavka dostizheniy narodnogo khozyaystva (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy). With more than 200 buildings and 30 pavilions on the grounds, VDNKh serves as an open-air museum. You can easily spend a full day here since the park occupies a very large area.
Places to Visit in Barcelona That Aren’t Beaches
First, there are pavilions that used to showcase different cultures the USSR was made of. Additionally, there is a number of shopping pavilions, as well as Moskvarium (an Oceanarium) that features a variety of marine species. VDNKh is a popular venue for events and fairs. There is always something going on, so I’d recommend checking their website if you want to see some particular exhibition.
A stone’s throw away from VDNKh there is a very distinctive 25-meters high monument. Originally built in 1937 for the world fair in Paris, the hulking figures of men and women holding a hammer and a sickle represent the Soviet idea of united workers and farmers. It doesn’t take much time to see the monument, but visiting it gives some idea of the Soviet Union’s grandiose aspirations.
I have a thing for tall buildings. So to continue my travel itinerary for one week in Moscow I decided to climb the fourth highest TV tower in the world. This iconic 540m tower is a fixture of the skyline. You can see it virtually from everywhere in Moscow, and this is where you can get the best panoramic views (yep, even better than Empire skyscraper).
Parts of the floor are made of tempered glass, so it can be quite scary to exit the elevator. But trust me, as you start observing buildings and cars below, you won’t want to leave. There is only a limited number of tickets per day, so you may want to book online. Insider tip: the first tour is cheaper, you can save up to $10 if go there early.
Day 5 – A Tour To Moscow Manor Houses
Metro Station: Kolomenskoye, Tsaritsyno on Dark Green Line / Kuskovo on Purple Line
I love visiting the manor houses and palaces in Moscow. These opulent buildings were generally built to house Russian aristocratic families and monarchs. Houses tend to be rather grand affairs with impressive architecture. And, depending on the whims of the owners, some form of a landscaped garden.
During the early part of the 20th century though, many of Russia’s aristocratic families (including the family of the last emperor) ended up being killed or moving abroad . Their manor houses were nationalized. Some time later (after the fall of the USSR) these were open to the public. It means that today a great many of Moscow’s finest manor houses and palaces are open for touring.
20 Travel Tips I’ve Learned From Travelling The World
There are 20 manor houses scattered throughout the city and more than 25 in the area around. But not all of them easily accessible and exploring them often takes a lot of time. I’d recommend focusing on three most popular estates in Moscow that are some 30-minute metro ride away from Kremlin.
Sandwiched between the Moscow River and the Andropov Avenue, Kolomenskoye is a UNESCO site that became a public park in the 1920’s. Once a former royal estate, now it is one of the most tranquil parks in the city with gorgeous views. The Ascension Church, The White Column, and the grounds are a truly grand place to visit.
You could easily spend a full day here, exploring a traditional Russian village (that is, in fact, a market), picnicking by the river, enjoying the Eastern Orthodox church architecture, hiking the grounds as well as and wandering the park and gardens with wildflower meadows, apple orchards, and birch and maple groves. The estate museum showcases Russian nature at its finest year-round.
12 Stunning National Parks and Regional Parks In France
If my travel itinerary for one week in Moscow was a family tree, Tsaritsyno Park would probably be the crazy uncle that no-one talks about. It’s a large park in the south of the city of mind-boggling proportions, unbelievable in so many ways, and yet most travelers have never heard of it.
The palace was supposed to be a summer home for Empress Catherine the Great. But since the construction didn’t meet with her approval the palace was abandoned. Since the early 1990’s the palace, the pond, and the grounds have been undergoing renovations. The entire complex is now looking brighter and more elaborately decorated than at possibly any other time during its history. Like most parks in Moscow, you can visit Tsaritsyno free of charge, but there is a small fee if you want to visit the palace.
How To Stop Procrastinating When Trip Planning
Last, but by no means least on my Moscow itinerary is Kuskovo Park . This is definitely an off-the-beaten-path place. While it is not easily accessible, you will be rewarded with a lack of crowds. This 18th-century summer country house of the Sheremetev family was one of the first summer country estates of the Russian nobility. And when you visit you’ll quickly realize why locals love this park.
Like many other estates, Kuskovo has just been renovated. So there are lovely French formal garden, a grotto, and the Dutch house to explore. Make sure to plan your itinerary well because the estate is some way from a metro station.
Day 6 – Explore the Golden Ring
Creating the Moscow itinerary may keep you busy for days with the seemingly endless amount of things to do. Visiting the so-called Golden Ring is like stepping back in time. Golden Ring is a “theme route” devised by promotion-minded journalist and writer Yuri Bychkov.
Having started in Moscow the route will take you through a number of historical cities. It now includes Suzdal, Vladimir, Kostroma, Yaroslavl and Sergiev Posad. All these awe-inspiring towns have their own smaller kremlins and feature dramatic churches with onion-shaped domes, tranquil residential areas, and other architectural landmarks.
Two Weeks In Thailand: The Perfect 14-Day Itinerary
I only visited two out of eight cities included on the route. It is a no-brainer that Sergiev Posad is the nearest and the easiest city to see on a day trip from Moscow. That being said, you can explore its main attractions in just one day. Located some 70 km north-east of the Russian capital, this tiny and overlooked town is home to Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, UNESCO Site.
You Will Also Like: 3-Day London Itinerary
Sergiev Posad is often described as being at the heart of Russian spiritual life. So it is uncommon to see the crowds of Russian pilgrims showing a deep reverence for their religion. If you’re traveling independently and using public transport, you can reach Sergiev Posad by bus (departs from VDNKh) or by suburban commuter train from Yaroslavskaya Railway Station (Bahnhof). It takes about one and a half hours to reach the town.
Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is a great place to get a glimpse of filling and warming Russian lunch, specifically at the “ Gostevaya Izba ” restaurant. Try the duck breast, hearty potato and vegetables, and the awesome Napoleon cake.
Day 7 – Gorky Park, Izmailovo Kremlin, Patriarch’s Ponds
Metro Station: Park Kultury or Oktyabrskaya on Circle Line / Partizanskaya on Dark Blue Line / Pushkinskaya on Dark Green Line
Gorky Park is in the heart of Moscow. It offers many different types of outdoor activities, such as dancing, cycling, skateboarding, walking, jogging, and anything else you can do in a park. Named after Maxim Gorky, this sprawling and lovely park is where locals go on a picnic, relax and enjoy free yoga classes. It’s a popular place to bike around, and there is a Muzeon Art Park not far from here. A dynamic location with a younger vibe. There is also a pier, so you can take a cruise along the river too.
How to Save Money While Traveling in Europe
The Kremlin in Izmailovo is by no means like the one you can find near the Red Square. Originally built for decorative purposes, it now features the Vernissage flea market and a number of frequent fairs, exhibitions, and conferences. Every weekend, there’s a giant flea market in Izmailovo, where dozens of stalls sell Soviet propaganda crap, Russian nesting dolls, vinyl records, jewelry and just about any object you can imagine. Go early in the morning if you want to beat the crowds.
All the Bulgakov’s fans should pay a visit to Patriarch’s Ponds (yup, that is plural). With a lovely small city park and the only one (!) pond in the middle, the location is where the opening scene of Bulgakov’s novel Master and Margarita was set. The novel is centered around a visit by Devil to the atheistic Soviet Union is considered by many critics to be one of the best novels of the 20th century. I spent great two hours strolling the nearby streets and having lunch in the hipster cafe.
Conclusion and Recommendations
To conclude, Moscow is a safe city to visit. I have never had a problem with getting around and most locals are really friendly once they know you’re a foreigner. Moscow has undergone some serious reconstruction over the last few years. So you can expect some places to be completely different. I hope my one week Moscow itinerary was helpful! If you have less time, say 4 days or 5 days, I would cut out day 6 and day 7. You could save the Golden Ring for a separate trip entirely as there’s lots to see!

Here’s what people usually ask us about the areas of Moscow and where to stay.
What is the best neighborhood to stay in Moscow?
Kitay-Gorod is our pick for the best neighborhood in Moscow – especially if it is your first time here. It is centrally located and full of quirky hostels like Kremlin Lights .
Which places to stay in Moscow are good for families?
Basmanny is known as an oasis within the bustling Moscow city. This makes it great for families! There are family-friendly hotels too like, Loft Hotel H11 .
Where should I stay in Moscow for nightlife?
Tverskoy is where you want to be to party! It’s full of lively bars and clubs, as well as cool hostels full of other adventurers to meet.
What are some good airbnbs in Moscow?
There are lots of cool airbnbs to stay in Moscow, but two of our favourites are this modern loft and this cosy apartment .
Pants, socks, underwear, soap?! Take it from me, packing for a hostel stay is not always quite as straightforward as it seems. Working out what to bring and what to leave at home is an art I have perfected over many years.
Snoring dorm-mates can ruin your nights rest and seriously damage the hostel experience. This is why I always travel with a pack of decent ear plugs.
Hanging Laundry Bag
Trust us, this is an absolute game changer. Super compact, a hanging mesh laundry bag stops your dirty clothes from stinking, you don’t know how much you need one of these… so just get it, thank us later.
Sea To Summit Micro Towel
Hostel towels are scummy and take forever to dry. Microfibre towels dry quickly, are compact, lightweight, and can be used as a blanket or yoga mat if need be.
Monopoly Deal
Forget about Poker! Monopoly Deal is the single best travel card game that we have ever played. Works with 2-5 players and guarantees happy days.
Grayl Geopress Water Bottle
Always travel with a water bottle! They save you money and reduce your plastic footprint on our planet. The Grayl Geopress acts as a purifier AND temperature regulator. Boom!
