If you are arriving on a Cruise ship, then allow 30 minutes from docking to cover any delay in embarkation.

If you are coming from Playa del Carmen, the Ferry ride to Cozumel lasts 30 minutes, and costs only $6usd each way. Ferries depart every hour both ways starting at 7am until 11pm.

Make sure to catch a Ferry at least 1 hour before your scheduled depart time.

The meeting point for cruise passengers is located at Sunset Beach Club. It’s about a mile from where you will arrive by ferry – so either a gentle stroll along the shore or a short taxi ride. You’ll receive full directions with your booking confirmation. Please book your meeting time with us at least ONE HOUR AFTER your ferry is scheduled to depart from Playa del Carmen.

The meeting point for cruise passengers is located at Sunset Beach Club. You’ll receive full directions with your booking confirmation and any taxi driver will know exactly where to bring you.

But please note, that can change in a heartbeat.

So – if you see a slot you want – book it right away. Because – as you can imagine- with 80% of our bookings coming from the 20,000 weekly cruise visitors to the island, our very limited maximum capacity of just nine slots daily a day tend to be taken up very quickly.

As you are coming by cruise ship, even though our meeting point is right by where you arrive, please set the time for us to meet you at least 30 minutes AFTER your scheduled docking time to allow for the delays in disembarkation (remember there will be plenty of other folks all trying to disembark at the same time!).

You can meet us at any time you choose: 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm any day of the week but please book your meeting time with us at least ONE HOUR AFTER your ferry is scheduled to depart from Playa del Carmen to allow for the crossing time, disembarkation and getting to our meeting point.

Although our highly professional P.A.D.I. certified diving instructors are allowed up to nine diving pupils in their care, to keep the lesson more personal, we limit that to around three. So if you are a party of three, then you’ll enjoy your very own private diving party at no extra cost.

A fun Cozumel SNUBA Diving shore excursion that is held at Chankanaab Marine Park - enjoy both the SNUBA dive and snorkeling afterward. Snuba is similar to real SCUBA diving but you do not have the heavy air tanks or any equipment strapped to your back. It is easy and safe enough for everyone to do!

As you arrive at Chankanaab Park your friendly English-speaking SNUBA Dive cruise excursion guide will show you where the Snuba activity is set up. Please note that the entrance fee to Chankanaab is not included and has to be purchased on-site, the cost per person is $26 USD. This includes use of the facilities such as chairs, hammocks, loungers, shade, showers, and more. There are restaurants where you can purchase food and drinks at your own expense. There are lockers available for rent, should you wish to store your belongings.

The highly trained and certified SNUBA excursion guides will go over all of the SNUBA Diving equipment you will use for your excursion, show you how to use it, and then get you suited up. Your SNUBA excursion equipment includes a snorkel mask, a regulator that provides your air supply, a weight belt, fins, and a harness for the hose leading from the regulator to your SCUBA air tank floating on the surface.

Your guide will lead your small group to the water. The calm aqua blue and crystal clear ocean water at Chankanaab Marine Park makes it an ideal location for this beginner's SNUBA Diving adventure. As you go a little deeper, you will start to feel a little pressure on your ears like flying in a plane, your guide will show you how to equalize pressure in the easiest way so you can fully enjoy this SNUBA excursion. You will continue at your comfort and at your own pace. Your guide will be beside you the entire way. The maximum depth you will go is just 20 feet and your underwater time is approximately 25 minutes.

When you finish your SNUBA Dive, you may choose to stay in the park to experience a variety of other activities at an extra cost. You might decide to get close to Mayan history on the archeological replicas walk or stroll through the lush botanical gardens where you can view more than 350 species of local island plants. Watch the process of handmade tortillas. Check out the tequila displays or maybe even the cacao chocolate site. Off-the-beach snorkeling will take you to Chankanaab Reef, where you can see the underwater Christ and Madonna statues as well as a rich variety of ocean fish - the snorkel gear is included for SNUBA participants' unlimited use. Relax and breathe normally, while enjoying the crystal clear waters of Cozumel and all its marine life.

When you book this tour, you contribute to the preservation of our coral reefs by supporting the NGO “ Cozumel Coral Reef Restoration Program .”
