The grammy-winning r&b artist comes to the uk after performing 10 dates in continental europe in june.

SZA has announced a world tour that will see her perform on four dates in the UK this summer.

The “SOS” tour will also see the American star visit the United States and Europe.

The tour comes after her hugely successful album of the same name, which was released last December and spent 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.

At the 2022 Grammy Awards, SZA won with Doja Cat for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit collaboration “Kiss Me More”.

Rolling Stone magazine ranked SZA number 180 on its list of the 200 greatest singers of all time earlier this year.

Here is everything you need to know about the tour, including how to get tickets.

When is SZA touring the UK?

The Grammy-winning R&B artist comes to the UK after performing 10 dates in continental Europe, including shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and Cologne.

She will kick off her UK tour dates with a performance at Manchester AO Arena on 13 June, then move on to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 15 June, followed by two nights at London’s  O2 Arena  on 17 and 18 June.

London-born singer-songwriter RAYE will be performing as the supporting act. Known for hits including “Escapism” and “You Don’t Know Me”, she has also written songs for the likes of Beyoncé, Little Mix, and Ellie Goulding.

Pre-sale tickets for the Manchester and Glasgow shows are live now on Ticketmaster. Find them here .

Pre-sale tickets for the London dates will go live on Thursday 13 April at 10am .

General tickets will be on sale to the public on Friday 14 April at 12pm from Ticketmaster.

To give an idea of how much the tickets will cost, tickets for the Glasgow dates range from £81.15-£120.90 (including admin fee). There is a limit of six tickets per person.

I saw her last night in San Antonio, TX, it was my daughter first concert, and she did not disappoint. She is amazing live! Well worth the money spent. From the settings to the chorography her team did a fantastic job. The concert kept us on our feet the entire time. I will defiantly go see her again when she returns.

Truly amazing! Her performance was full of heaps of energy and soul. A beautiful mixture of singing, dancing and a quick preview of her of her acrobatic skills! One of the best musicians to see in concert. Would be darn near impossible to not sway and jump when she's on stage. I've waited so long to see her and she did not disappoint. Really hope to see SZA in London more!!!

Amazing show! Sza sounded amazing! She looked like she was having an awesome time while performing and the crowd loved her. The energy in the venue was hella dope! At one point she instructed security to find any cases of water around to pass out to the people on the floor, saying "get the cases from the tour bus." I thought that was super cool of her.

Exact date SZA tickets go on sale and price as she announces Dublin gig with major supporting act

SZA has recently expanded her major world tour to include an Ireland date.

The Kill Bill singer will officially be performing in Dublin this summer.

The 2023 tour comes after her massively successful album, SOS, which was released last December.

The award-winning artist will be kicking off the European leg of her S.O.S. Tour in Amsterdam on June 1, before heading to Paris, Zurich, Berlin, and Cologne.

SZA will then be hitting the UK as she takes to the stage in Manchester, Glasgow and London.

She finishes off her European stretch in Dublin on Wednesday, 21 June 2023 at the 3Arena.

The English singer-songwriter will play for Irish fans at the  Meath  venue as part of Love on Tour.

The As It Was singer is set to perform June 23, 2023.

It's been three years sine Slane Castle hosted a major act, with Metallica headlining in 2019.

A host of top musicians have performed at the iconic venue including Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, David Bowie and Bon Jovi.

Thin Lizzy were the first headline act ever to take the stage at Slane Castle back in 1981.

Over 30,000 rock fans came to see the Whiskey in the Jar hitmakers, with U2 among the support acts.

National Cinema Day: How to check if your local is offering £4 film tickets

Movie lovers are in for a treat this weekend, with discounted tickets on offer at hundreds of venues around the country .

The UK’s annual National Cinema Day is returning this weekend, with participating cinemas across the UK offering tickets from £4.

Now in its third year, the day is set to be held at 630 venues nationwide, and will include 3D, Imax and 4DX features.

This is up 25 per cent in price from the 2022 and 2023 events , where tickets started at £3, but still is a bargain compared to normal prices to catch a film.

Iain Jacob, chair of Cinema First, said: “National Cinema Day is fast becoming a Great British cultural event, sharing the joy and sociability of cinema across the nation. This year, we have more support than ever, allowing us to show a fantastically wide choice of films at amazing value. Every year this event has got bigger, with more and more people sharing their love of cinema. We know that 2024 will be the best yet.”

But which cinemas are taking part, and how can you secure your ticket? Here is what we know.

What is National Cinema Day?

Odeon , Cineworld , Vue , Picturehouse , Showcase , and Curzon are among the chains set to take part , offering cheaper tickets for one day a year to encourage people to support their local cinema

The annual event was developed by cross-industry body Cinema First, with the support of the Film Distributors’ Association and the UK Cinema Association. It launched in 2022, achieving 1.46 million admissions in a single day and £4.4m at the box office, which rose by six per cent to 1.56 million admissions in its 2023 edition, achieving £5.2m at the box office.

When is National Cinema Day 2024?

This year, the event is taking place on Saturday, August 31.

What deals are in place for National Cinema Day?

On the day, cinema tickets will be available to all customers from just £4 at all of the major UK cinema operators and a wide range of smaller cinema operators and venues.

Some even have deals on snacks and drinks purchased at the cinema.

A huge number of cinemas are taking part, so chances are there will be a few options near you for you to grab a film cheap.

Milk prices set to increase later this year, warns Cravendale firm Arla

Dairy giant Arla has said milk prices are set to rise later this year for UK shoppers.

The Cravendale maker warned that “uncertainty” across the market has resulted in lower availability of milk globally.

The co-operative, which supports thousands of farmers across the UK, said it expects current volatile market conditions to continue into the second half of its financial year.

However, it said consumer spending was strong in the face of pressure on budgets in 2024 so far.

“The positive trend on consumer purchasing power from the first half of 2024 should prolong into the second half, especially in Europe as inflationary pressure continues to subside and wages increase,” the company said on Wednesday.

“This is anticipated to translate into a continued upturn in demand for dairy, although it is uncertain how consumers will react to the expected higher retail price levels following the commodity price increases.”

The warning came as Arla hailed “robust” trading over the first half of 2024, boosted by its brands, including Lurpak and Arla Protein.

Arla said it witnessed overall volume growth of 11% across its brand portfolio, with branded revenues up 5.4% as higher volumes were partly offset by a slowdown in dairy pricing.

Lurpak sales were particularly strong over the past half-year, the food and drink firm said.

Bas Padberg, managing director of Arla Foods UK, said: “Following the high levels of inflation that we saw back in 2023, Arla has continuously reinvested back into our brands, to deliver value for our shoppers and ensure the necessary growth needed to return the highest possible milk price to our farmer owners.

“This combined with increased consumer buying power in the first half of the year has led to a strong performance across our branded range.

“Whilst we expect consumer confidence to remain into the second half of the year, trading conditions will be more challenging than we have seen in recent months as commodity markets rise again and we balance reduced global supply with the increasing demand for dairy.”

For £26 take the first fish you catch and then release three more.

For £35 take the first two fish you catch then release three more.

We think this will enable you to enjoy more time at the lakes per visit giving better value for money; we anticipate the £26 ticket will be the most popular and is a big saving on last season’s cheapest ticket at £32 for two fish taken. We look forward to seeing more of you than last season enabling us to keep our beautiful lakes open for business.

When visiting please keep to a few simple catch and release guidelines:

• Use barbless hooks or pinch barbs down with long nosed pliers.
• Play fish as quickly as you can.
• Handle fish as little as possible and wet your hands in the mesh of your net before handling,

When fishing for your first one or two fish to be taken (ie when you start fishing) you may use barbed hooks but please remember to change to barbless thereafter.

Oasis are finally reuniting 15 years after they split, having announced a huge UK tour.

The iconic Manchester band's official social media accounts shared the dates of its 14 UK and Ireland shows, which will take place over July and August next year.

Speculation about a reunion grew in the weeks leading up to the announcement after years of Noel and Liam Gallagher's public feuding had made fans question whether it would ever happen.

"Come see. It will not be televised," they warned in their statement .

But when exactly are the dates for the brothers' on-stage reunion and how can you get tickets? Here's everything you need to know.

When and where are the concerts?

A seat to watch the band in London begins at £74.25, with the most expensive ticket a £506.25 pre-show party, exhibition and seated package.

Standing tickets will cost fans £151.25.

Heaton Park, Manchester

In the band's home city, tickets start from £148.50, with only standing available alongside a number of hospitality and luxury packages.

Principality Stadium, Cardiff

The cheapest seats are £73, according to promoter SJM Concerts, which runs the website Gigs And Tours. Standing tickets will cost £150.

Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh

Tickets for the gig at the 67,000-capacity stadium start at £74, SJM Concerts say, adding standing tickets will cost £151.

Croke Park, Dublin

Before the announcement for UK shows, Irish promoters MCD said on its website that the price of both of the two Croke Park gigs in Dublin will start at 86.50 euros (£72.75) without booking fees.

When do tickets go on sale and how can I get them?

All tickets will go on sale on Saturday 31 August. The Dublin dates will be on sale from 8am and the UK dates will go on sale at 9am .

But fans can now register to be in a pre-sale ballot until 10am (UK time) on Friday morning.

The deadline was originally 7pm on Wednesday but the band changed it due to "a last minute surge" in entries.

Successful applicants in the ballot will be informed by 5pm on Friday via email with full access information, however, this does not guarantee fans a ticket as they are still sold on a first come first served basis.

The band has warned fans on social media that confirmation emails for the ballot entry may be delayed due to a high volume of people signing up, but has assured them that anyone who has filled in a ballot correctly before the deadline will receive one.

The band's official website has "strongly advised" anyone hoping to purchase tickets to register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticket agencies.

Top tips for getting tickets

The ticket sites offer key advice for fans looking to have an edge over others in the race for in-demand tickets.

Here's a summary of their biggest tips:

• Don't wait until Saturday morning to register. This will mean you have plenty of time to get your account set up with all the right billing and delivery information • Verify your account. You have to add your phone number and confirm a one-time passcode with new accounts for protection. You only need to do it once • If you already have an account, double-check it. It's worth logging in before Saturday just to check you know your password, your delivery and billing information is all correct, and to ensure you've already completed your one-time passcode • Make sure your card details are already saved to avoid last-minute scrambling • Get your phones and laptops charged before the deadline • Make sure you're happy with your internet connection. Private WiFi is best, and if that isn't working, Ticketmaster advises using your mobile data over public WiFi, which it says is "usually the least reliable" • Don't refresh the page while in a waiting room. Ticketing sites use a queuing system when they get busy, meaning you get put in an online waiting room with other fans. They warn that refreshing the page won't move you further up the line, and that the page itself updates automatically. So once you're in, wait it out...

How many tickets can I buy and how expensive could they be?

You can get a maximum of four tickets per transaction, and you aren't permitted to sell them for more than you bought them for, according to event organisers.

The price of tickets hasn't been announced yet, though the Manchester Evening News has reported they are expected to exceed £100.

Back in 2009, just over a month before Oasis split, the band performed at Wembley Stadium and charged £38.50 plus VAT (which at the time was 15%), meaning the total cost was just over £44.

When Sky News put those numbers into the Bank of England's inflation calculator, the total was £68.02 - which is still considered low nowadays.

Will there be another chance to buy tickets?

There won't be another official sale, but you may be able to snatch resale tickets.

On its website, Oasis says it has partnered with Ticketmaster and ticket resale platform Twickets to ensure tickets aren't resold for more than the price originally paid - including booking fees.

The band has also warned those reselling the tickets that selling through any other platforms will breach the terms and conditions of the sale and may result in the tickets being cancelled.

Do you even deserve tickets?

Since the announcement, social media has been flooded by debate about who this concert is really for.

"What's your favourite B-side?" - an eligibility test being used by people who "were at Knebworth".

Die-hard Oasis fans who were there in the 90s will say they are the ones who most deserve to get their hands on tickets.

"Imagine waiting 15 years for Oasis to reform only to lose out on tickets to Chloe, 21 from Stockport who just wants to hear Wonderwall live", one X user posts.

In response, another writes: "Obsessed with all the men creating fictional young women who they might lose out on Oasis tickets to."

"Like most kids, my parents influenced my music taste growing up, from Bruce Springsteen and Tina Turner to the Rolling Stones.

"Kylie Minogue, obviously, was also a big feature in my cassette collection.

"But Oasis were the first band that felt like mine, not music I'd inherited.

"As a teenager I listened over and over, studied the album covers, and went on to see them live five times, each gig holding different memories and anecdotes. For those of us who grew up with them, they embodied our youth, the spirit of the '90s.

"But that doesn't mean these gigs belong to the older fans, which, like it or not, is the bracket I fall into now. You only have to see all the teenagers and younger adults at Liam's solo shows to see how Oasis's songs resonate with different generations. The music has stood the test of time, which can only be a good thing.

"Those gatekeeping fans are most likely the same as those complaining about how all music is rubbish these days. Well, you can't have it both ways.

"If I'm lucky enough to get tickets, I hope to be singing along with bucket-hat wearing fans of all ages."
