I will Review JOURNEYS in the Anderson Mall first then the actual mall itself. The lack of management and sales presence in this Journeys store is disturbing. I usually don't stop in my tracks and take a photo of employees in a store but this scene is quite out of control. **I made sure to take a photo from far away so as to avoid posting anyone's face on here but someone from this company should REALLY make a surprise visit to this store location. The sheer comfort displayed by these employees to act like this is scary. The overall MALL- I am so sad for the state of this mall. I was born in Anderson and used to cruise this mall and shop for back-to-school clothes as a young teen in the 80's. Since moving HELLA FAR AWAY in the late 90's to pursue my dreams of getting the Hella out of Anderson, I lived in Chicago- where I attended college- majoring in design and textiles- I currently reside in Arizona and CA. I haven't been back here to Anderson for a very long time but I am here this week visiting. It is shocking how run down this city looks. So sorry- No offense. I realize times have changed, businesses close and people move on, but it breaks my heart to see this mall so forlorn, dreary and empty. It's the only Mall Anderson has and it seems criminal to allow the demise of such a staple part of the city. If I were the Mayor of Anderson or worked in the local civic arena in any capacity, I would break my neck to bring back the spirit and integrity of this long forgotten commercial property. Kudos to Dilliards for creating a beautiful shopping atmosphere despite its dilapidated surroundings as well as Bath & Body Works and American Eagle. While visiting the mall today I went in Journeys (and judging by the photo I shared) no wonder there is no one shopping here! But!! ***I must give a shout out to Chic 5- What a fun store this is with a vibrant selection of fun, colorful and fashion forward clothing, shoes, accessories and merchandise displayed nicely and with purpose. PRO-TIP! CHIC 5 OFFERS FREE MONOGRAMMING on any article of clothing purchased from the store. I am a monogram freak and this incentive alone made me look around with excitement. I bought a cute denim jacket (that I had monogrammed) and a fabulous one piece jumpsuit outfit. The jumpsuit was only $59 and could easily pass for a high-end designer brand from SAKS or Neiman's once paired with the right shoes and accessories . I bought it to wear to Brunch at the Coronado hotel in CA next week. I must also give a small rave to RAINBOW. There were three female employees working there today and although no one really asked if they could help me until I approached them, they were at least very polite and busy going through boxes of merchandise. i looked through the racks an RACKS at RAINBOW and even though I am an older female (53) and didn't feel like there were a-lot of options I could personally wear, the had the LOWEST and best prices I've EVER seen in a retail store. If I weren't already traveling back home with already overstuffed luggage, I would've definitely purchased so many things from this store for me and for my kids at home. It's definitely worth the time to go in a sift through the racks. It would help to have someone with you who has an eye for fashion by putting pieces together because it could be very overwhelming - I was overwhelmed and I am a professional commercial designer/window artist and veteran shopper. If I had any desire to move back here - (which I don't) but if I did, I'd buy this whole mall and bring it back to life, complete with the nostalgic Eckerd drugs lunch counter- where I sat every weekend when I was six years old while my mother worked the cosmetic counter.

Anderson Mall is a small mall on a busy street in this small town in SC. It has a couple of major department stores, Dillard's and Belk (a South based department store) as well as some boutique shops, and other stores you typically will find in every mall such as Victoria's Secret and bath and body works. Overall, the mall is OK. The reason why it gets 3 stars from me is how small it is. I would call it a shopping center based on size but definitely not a mall. When I hear Mall usually, I think of the likes of Dubai malls or at least Fashion Square in Scottsdale Arizona. This said however, the prices here are just amazing and the service by most people is actually pretty good, I still like to shop her every once in a while. There is a small food court with some good selection of cuisines. Not my favorite mall but the most convenient in terms of location and price.

Great mall and essentials stores . Love the Sephora inside jcpenny big selection on make up and was very pleased on how informative the sales person was with me . Ask for summers

This is a quiet, old little mall. It's a bit dark and dingy and has a strange layout, but it serves its purpose if you're looking for indoor space to walk. The anchor stores are Dillards, Belk, JCPenney and Sears so you might find some deals there. There's a few name brand stores in the mall and a small food court as well. It's not one that I would find myself returning to unless I was looking for something specific. I think Anderson deserves something better!

Coming from a big city, this is a small mall but it has your basics- department stores: JCPenney, Dillard's, Belk and a not needed Sears. There's a Victoria's Secrets, book store,Children's Place and some other stores I can't recall at the moment. I remember going to the women's restroom and questioning this box. The box was for drug needles. I've never seen one before, nevertheless, inside the mall. I didn't know this town had a meth problem. But silver lining, at least there's a safe place to drop off your dirty needles instead of just the regular trash can.

The mall itself is disappointing. But my experience in Journeys was awesome. I came in to get a new pair of converse -- actually two pairs -- back and white high tops. The sales associate, Callie, was eager to help me, and I found the shoes I was looking for quickly and efficiently. Best service I've had in the mall. She was very attentive. Thanks for your service!!

Don't usually shop here but it's pretty clean. It's the smallest mall I've ever been to, lol you can literally walk the whole thing in 10 minutes. I do like buying my sons dress clothes at Belk. There's a lot of loud teenagers walking around though.

I've spent a lot of time in Anderson, SC lately and found an evening free. I decided to explore the Mall. JCP and Sears I know, so I decided to try Belk's. It was disappointing, not nearly as nice as our hometown Kohl's and seemed to be for teenagers (maybe that really is what Belk's is, and I just don't know). So I went around the other side to Dilliard's and it was the same thing - high school clothing. I was disappointed in the ware, but got some much appreciated leg stretching in a some fabulous SC sunshine - cannot complain about that!

This mall is just ok. There are a few stores worth my time but by and large I would rather go to Haywood Mall in Greenville which has a lot more to offer. The biggest blow for me was the Gamestop closing it's doors. Also the mall lacks a free wifi connection. Books-a-million is fairly new and about the only store worth going out of your way for. The food court is passible Chick-fil-a is good as always. Anderson Express is a Chinese place that is good as well. Never tried Mexican Deli, Sbarro, or the new Bruce's Hot Dogs and More. Unless you are in desperate need, or unable to drive to a better mall avoid Anderson Mall in it's current state.
