Mobile Vet Services in Doncaster

Home visit vet services in doncaster for cats & dogs.

We can help with at home Vaccinations, Pet Travel Consultation, Post-surgical Pet Care, Senior Checks and Care, Palliative Care & Euthanasia.

As a veterinarian, it’s very important to me that my patients are happy and comfortable. I‘ve developed the following services to give them the best of care whilst allowing them to remain stress-free in the comfort of home. However, if you or your vet think your pet would benefit from a home visit for something not on this list, please get in touch – I’d be happy to help.

I offer full examination and vaccination service for cats, dogs, and rabbits.

As an experienced Official Veterinarian (OV) for pets, I’m able to advise on the necessary paperwork, as well as get your pet the vaccinations they need before their annual holiday.

I work closely with local vets and can provide a home wound-care service to save you a stressful journey.

Home visits from CalmPawz will make those essential checks for your senior pets a lot easier.

Being able to offer palliation as a home-visit service means that your pet can receive the best care whilst remaining stress-free.

Whether you decide to say goodbye there and then, book a visit for a week’s time, or try a new treatment option, I’ll be by your side for advice and support.

Meet the team

I'm pleased to present to you Dr Mara Tudorache, a skilled and compassionate veterinarian who has dedicated her career to helping animals. Dr Tudorache graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest in 2011 and has since practiced in small animal clinics in Bucharest and the United Kingdom, with most of her time spent in Yorkshire. One of Dr Tudorache's greatest strengths is her sensitivity, empathy, and caring nature. She understands that pets are beloved members of the family and treats each one with the same level of compassion and care that she would want for her own furry friend. Dr Tudorache has a special gift for communicating with animals, and her patients seem to sense that she genuinely cares for them. Dr Tudorache's dedication to her patients is evident in the way she approaches each case. She always considers what would be best for the animal, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances. When caring for her patients, Dr Tudorache always thinks about how she would want her own 12-year-old Golden Retriever, Fluffy, to be treated in similar circumstances. If you're looking for a veterinarian who will treat your furry friend with the utmost care and compassion, then Dr Mara Tudorache is the right choice for you.

Kirsty keating perratt rvn graddipvn.

Kirsty qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2006. In 2019 she gained a post graduate degree in clinical and professional veterinary nursing, from London's Royal Veterinary College. She has always  nursed in her home town of Doncaster (and surrounding areas) so will be a familiar face to many pet parents. Her home is shared with her husband, son and daughter, is full of rescued animals to include dogs, cats, rabbits and ducks.

After a few years as a clinical manager in corporate clinics, Kirsty decided she didn't care for business models and targets, so set about looking for work focusing on putting the care of patients and clients first.

After over a year of searching, and lots of help from family & friends, the idea of DONCASTER PET CLINIC was born!

Chris Perratt

Chris has also been a huge animal lover his whole life and has been hugely involved with patient care since meeting Kirsty in 2002. Their house together has always been full of rescues/recovering patients and hand rears.

Having owned and ran family businesses before, he takes care of that side of our DONCASTER PET CLINIC and also doesn't shy away from nursing and maintenance duties in his spare time.

Pamela Lumb MRCVS

Dr Pamela graduated from the London Royal Veterinary College in 1996. Pamela has 2 human children at home as well as guinea pigs, a dog and a cat. Kirsty and Pamela first enjoyed working together in 2003 at an hours of hours Emergency clinic. Pamela is very experienced in all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine, making her an obvious choice to join our Doncaster Pet Clinic.

Suzy Hunt MRCVS

Dr Suzy graduated as a Veterinary surgeon, from the University of Liverpool  in 2010, after already gaining a degree in Animal Science at the University of Nottingham.

At home, Suzy is kept busy by her 2 cats and her 2 children.

She has a keen interest in surgery, and has recently completed practical sessions in Small Animal Surgery, to advance these surgical skills.

Emily Satchwell MRCVS

Dr Emily graduated from Bristol University in 2020 and has since worked in two busy small animal practices in Rotherham and Sheffield.

Emily joined Doncaster Pet Clinic in 2023 to become our dedicated Van Vet and loves getting out and about in the neighboring communities, spending time with pets and their families. Outside of work she enjoys walking in the Peak district, yoga and spending time with her rescue cat Norman.

Vanessa Brown RVN CertECC

Vanessa qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016, after working as a dog handler in the military.

She has also completed a specialised nursing certificate in emergency and critical care.

Vanessa loves nothing more than to go on adventures in her camper van and keeping fit with her Boxer dog, Rory.

Lauren Robinson RVN

Lauren is the newest member of our team.

She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse this year. Well done!

You will mostly find her walking her dog in the Peak District, enjoying a pub quiz or at the gym.

Ella Wright

Ella previously completed an animal management degree to a level 5 HND and is now working at Doncaster Pet Clinic as a veterinary care assistant.

At home she loves to spend time with her dog and guinea pig fur babies.

Her dream is to run her own rescue sanctuary one day!

At work she will mostly be found in the kennels making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved! She also helps out on reception when it is busy.

Jenna Keating

Jenna is our Head Receptionist (and a much loved family member).

She has the best memory and remembers every single person and pet. Were always calling upon her to remember everyone's tasks and pull us up when we forget things ha ha!

She has two small cross breed dogs at home. I'm sure you will have all seen pictures of these at her reception desk <3

Anne Marie Forster

Annie is a part-time receptionist here at Doncaster Pet Clinic.

Both Kirsty & Emma have worked alongside her in other vet clinics in the past, and kept in touch.

We were delighted when she agreed to come and help us out on reception.

I'm sure you will all agree that she is caring, attentive and bubbly which is a great attribute to the role.

Freya Keating

Freya, again is a much loved family member. She is very helpful on reception and with in-patient care, when she is not studying hard at college. In her spare time you will find her playing with and walking her 2 little fur besties,

Teddy & Mabel.

Emma Keating

Emma is our office manager, keeping everything on the straight and narrow.

She will usually be in the office upstairs doing paperwork.

At home she keeps Rats, and currently has 5.

She is also sister to Kirsty, Sister-in-law to Chris & Jenna, and Auntie to Freya (we did say this was a family owned and ran clinic)!

Elise Tidswell

My two fur babies go to this vet and I couldn’t complain. They are honest, caring and understanding without being a silly price. My girl was spayed a few days ago and they were completely open about her surgery and she’s already back to her normal self. 100% recommend the Pet Health Plan as well, so cheap and get 10% off all procedures just for having it. Thank you!

Winifred Ward

We have visited the Doncaster branch numerous times over the last few months with both my dogs. I have to say, the service has been outstanding. All staff are polite, friendly and knowledgable. We would definitely recommend The Pet Vet Doncaster to anyone .

My little pup had to have surgery on her eye to remove a foreign body. All the vets, nurses and receptionists have been excellent, very thorough and helpful. They've explained everything that has been done in detail. Very happy with the treatment my girl has received.

Love Finds a Home at Washington Veterans Home

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - Sidney Cartwright, a resident at Washington Veterans Home, has found love again after 22 years of being a widow. Since moving into the home in November 2022, Sidney has become an active participant in resident activities and the resident front desk program. Her vibrant personality and involvement caught the eye of fellow resident Junior Feathers, leading to a heartwarming love story that has captured the hearts of everyone at the Washington Veterans Home.

Washington Veterans Home Residents Getting Married

Sidney and Junior's love story reached a beautiful milestone when they exchanged vows in the Washington Veterans Home Chapel in August 2023. With her oldest son proudly walking her down the aisle, her granddaughter skillfully playing the piano, her grandson capturing the wonderful moments as the photographer , and her sister serving as the maid of honor, the ceremony was a testament to the power of love and the joy it brings even in later years.

The couple's connection goes beyond their shared experiences at the home. Sidney and Junior enjoy spending time together, whether it's taking trips to Walmart or exploring the community. Their conversations are endless, and their bond continues to grow stronger each day.

Reflecting on her newfound love, Sidney offered some heartfelt advice to others who may find themselves in a similar situation: "If anyone ever falls in love and feels the way Junior and I feel, they should get married!" Her words of wisdom serve as a reminder that love knows no age and that it's never too late to find happiness.

Family Photo of WVH Residents

Sidney and Junior's love story is a shining example of the vibrant community at the Washington Veterans Home. Their happiness and companionship inspire everyone around them, proving that love can flourish in unexpected places. As they continue their journey together, Sidney and Junior serve as a testament to the power of love and the importance of fostering meaningful connections.

Anxiety over squatters, fueled by TikTok, inspires a wave of legislation

Robbie Sequiera

April 26, 2024

SEN JSS

Across various news channels and outlets, a visceral fear of some property owners — that an unwanted guest could move into their vacant home, refuse to leave, and then claim ownership — has been a trending story.

These squatter horror stories have reached a fever pitch in the past month after a migrant TikTok influencer, Venezuelan national Leonel Moreno, encouraged people to squat in homes across the United States. Moreno was  arrested  in Ohio in late March by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

New York Democratic state Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, who represents Staten Island and southern Brooklyn, acknowledged there is little data to support claims that squatting is on the rise, or even that it happens that often.

But Scarcella-Spanton told Stateline that “once is enough” and that there needs to be a quicker way to remove squatters.

Her proposal, which made it into the state’s 2025 budget signed by Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, spells out clearly that squatters don’t have  tenants’ legal rights  related to evictions. Proponents say that will make it easier for police to remove squatters from properties.

“Some people will make the argument that this is a very rare occurrence. But I think if it happens once or twice, it’s unacceptable,” Scarcella-Spanton said. “It’s always good to have data when we’re trying to push legislation, but most importantly, I think that just seeing the cases that we’ve seen over the last couple of months in the news is reason enough to move forward with legislation.”

Some landlords and property owners in blue states are hoping their lawmakers join the anti-squatting movement.

The History of the World: Nixon visits Moscow

The history of the world: sixth edition.

  • May 22 nd 2013
22 May 1972 The following is a brief extract from The History of the World: Sixth Edition by J.M. Roberts and O.A. Westad.

In October 1971 the UN General Assembly had recognized the People’s Republic as the only legitimate representative of China in the United Nations, and expelled the representative of Taiwan. This was not an outcome the United States had anticipated until the crucial vote was taken. The following February, there took place a visit by Nixon to China that was the first visit ever made by an American president to mainland Asia, and one he described as an attempt to bridge ‘sixteen thousand miles and twenty-two years of hostility.’

When Nixon followed his Chinese trip by becoming also the first American president to visit Moscow (in May 1972), and this was followed by an interim agreement on arms limitation – the first of its kind – it seemed that another important change had come about. The stark, polarized simplicities of the Cold War were blurring, however doubtful the future might be.
