The snow bus is the way.

What more can you ask for? They pick you up, they bring you to the mountain, you skip the lines because you are technically in a group. Rental and lift ticket are no brainers. No driving, no parking. Just crash in the bus on the way back after an awesome snow day and you are back home for dinner. Seriously, trying to figure out how to get there, renting a car or carpooling or whatever would be a nightmare. The snow bus is the way.

Bellearye Mountain NYC Snow Bus

For the first time since 2019, sourced adventures is gonna take you back to the catskills with this nyc ski bus.

This winter, let Sourced Adventures whisk you away to a shiny new destination. Hop on our NYC ski bus and head to Belleayre Mountain! Touted as the highest elevation resort in the Catskills, Belleayre has a legacy of slopes so dope that people would camp out in tents just to be the first to make their mark on fresh fall (did we mention that was before chair lifts???)

Yup. Hiking. Up a mountain. With skis. In the snow. 🤯

Don’t worry, Belleayre has more than kept up with the times: Their high-speed gondola is capable of sailing 2,000 people an hour up to the summit. Add a few quad lifts to the mix and you have a recipe for less time in line and more time on the mountain! Whether you’re into long cruising trails, playing in the parks & glades, or bombing down steeps (did we hear something about a 1,404 drop!?), there is plenty of terrain to go around for all levels of experience.

Multiple ticket packages available whether it’s baby’s first snow bus (lessons anyone?) or you’re a seasoned, gear-toting, black-diamond shredder: We got you!

Please note that all rentals require everyone in your party to fill out a rental form prior to the day of the trip. We’ll send it to you after purchase.

Fun Fact! – Belleayre is managed by the Olympic Regional Development Authority.

Great experience.

customer review photo

Enjoyable day at Belleayre Mountain

My favourite ny ski bus.

customer review photo

I’m a beginner, is the trip suitable for me?

Absolutely! Belleayre Mountain has a variety of green trails (beginner slopes)!

What time do we leave and get back?

Pick-ups commence around 6:00am and you should get back to the city around 7/8pm- depending on traffic!

What do I need to pack?

  • Ski Clothes or warm layers. It’s important to bundle up for skiing and to wear waterproof clothing. Ski pants and ski jackets are ideal. Don’t have ski clothes? You can rent clothing in advance.
  • Snacks for the road. It’s an early morning, so make sure you bring some breakfast with you for the bus ride up, and snacks for the ride home.
  • Water bottle. Always important to stay hydrated throughout the day!
  • Phone charger. Your phone will drain a good amount of battery for the day, so make sure you have a charger in case of any emergencies.
  • Skis and Snowboard IF you have your own. We have plenty of room under the bus if you want to bring your own gear.
  • Spare Change. Skiing burns A LOT of calories, meaning you’ll be hungry at some point during the day. Bring some cash or credit along so you can refuel on food at the lodge or treat yourself to a beer.

Can I drive myself?

Unfortunately, driving yourself is prohibited. We do this for logistical and liability reasons.

Can I bring my kids on the trip?

Unfortunately, no. This is an 18+ trip.

People at a ski resort on a weekend ski and snowboard trip from NYC

New York City: secret skier's paradise? Well… we wouldn't go that far, but did you know that New York has more ski areas than other state in America, 44, at last count? (Yes, that's more than California, or Colorado). And Southern Vermont has another dozen or so, all within easy weekend ski trip distance from NYC.

So if you are looking to take a nice romantic weekend getaway or are interested in a wonderful winter day trip from NYC to points north and snowy… albeit often machine-made these ski ideas are some of most reliably-excellent excursions, embarking from all over town, to a variety of mountains, with varying degrees of amenities and add-ons.

Emilio's Ski Shop

For quantity, variety, and accessibility, it's tough to beat the day ski trips organized by Emilio's Ski Shop, who started these trips 50 years ago! Five-six morning trips scheduled a week, Emilio's boards busloads of skiers and snowboarders from all over Manhattan including: Forest Hills, Cobble Hill, Bay Ridge, the Upper East Side for day trips to Okemo, Hunter, Windham, Bromley, Gore and more. Paragon Sports Ski / Snowboard Express

From New York City's best all-around sporting goods store (yes, it's a little expensive, but no matter what sport/outdoor activity brings you through the doors, they seem to ALWAYS have what you're looking for) comes one of our favorite NYC ski trip packages. Meet in front of the centrally-located Paragon just north of Union Square every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday, and for $84 you get a luxury bus (with breakfast and movies) and a ski lift ticket to either Hunter or Windham. To reserve your seat, check out the Paragon Sports Ski website .

New Yorkers on a snowy weekend ski trip

The Ski and Snowboard Club

Weekend ski trip packages from New York City are little less common, especially ones as well organized as Mark and Marina's Upper West Side , non-for-profit, just-for-fun venture, The Ski and Snowboard Club in NYC. Check out their reservations for weekend ski trips this season. The Ski and Snowboard Club "includes a wide variety of personalities, ages and abilities, but can be generalized as fun-loving people who enjoy sharing outdoor activities with each other."
