Beyonce performing at the Renaissance tour

A few weeks after London saw the coronation of King Charles , they’re preparing for the arrival of the Queen Bee.

Beyoncé will be buzzing into town, bringing with her swarms of fans desperate to capture her legendary stage prowess – especially as it’s her first live shows here in six years.

Beyoncé’s latest tour is the Renaissance Tour, named after the disco-inspired album titled Renaissance released in July 2022.

It’s reportedly going to earn the artist a not-so-shabby £1.6bn – we’d be throwing a disco party for that, too.

What can lucky fans with a ticket expect to see from the show and can you still nab a ticket?

When are Beyoncé’s London tour dates?

Beyonce will be playing five dates in London. The shows are on:

  • Monday, May 29
  • Tuesday, May 30
  • Thursday, June 1
  • Saturday, June 3
  • Sunday, June 4

She will be playing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Beyoncé performing live

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour has landed in London – here’s everything you need to know

Queen Bey is performing for five nights in the capital

India Lawrence

It's official, London has Beyoncé fever. Queen Bey arrived in the Big Smoke last week as part of her whistlestop tour of the UK where she's  already visited Cardiff, Edinburgh and er… Sunderland. The capital welcomed the pop superstar with open arms: cardboard cut-outs of the singer have been spotted at pubs across north London, and even Beavertown renamed some of its beers after her.

Bey is in the midst of a mega five-night run of the  Renaissance World Tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which concludes on Sunday night. If you were lucky enough to score tickets to the gig of the century, here’s everything you need to know.

What time will Beyoncé go on stage?

The doors to Tottenham Stadium open at 5pm. There isn’t an official start time for the concert, but according to reports from her previous shows Beyoncé has been taking to the stage in Tottenham between 7.30pm-8.15pm. The Tottenham Stadium curfew is 10.30pm on weekdays and 10pm on Sundays, and the show should last between one and a half and two hours.

What’s the setlist for Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour?

Beyoncé has been changing the setlist slightly from show to show, but you can expect it to look something like this:

  • ‘Dangerously In Love’
  • ‘Flaws And All’
  • ‘1+1’
  • ‘I Care / I’m Goin' Down’ (Mary J. Blige cover)
  • ‘I’m That Girl’
  • ‘Cozy’
  • ‘Alien Superstar’ / ‘Sweet Dreams’ (Medley)
  • ‘Lift Off’ (from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’)
  • ‘7/11’ (Interlude)
  • ‘Cuff It’
  • ‘Energy’ (ft. Beam)
  • ‘Break My Soul’
  • ‘No Angel’
  • ‘Haunted’
  • ‘Formation’
  • ‘Diva’
  • ‘Run The World (Girls)’
  • ‘My Power’ (from The Lion King: The Gift )
  • ‘Black Parade’
  • ‘Savage Remix’ (Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyoncé)
  • ‘Partition’
  • ‘Yoncé’
  • ‘Church Girl’
  • ‘Get Me Bodied’ / ‘Freakum Dress’
  • ‘Before I Let Go’
  • ‘Rather Die Young’
  • ‘Love On Top’
  • ‘Crazy In Love’ (ft. Jay-Z)
  • ‘Plastic Off The Sofa’
  • ‘Virgo’s Groove’
  • ‘Naughty Girl’
  • ‘Move’ (ft. Grace Jones)
  • ‘Heated’
  • ‘Thique’
  • ‘All Up In Your Mind’
  • ‘Drunk In Love’
  • ‘America Has A Problem’
  • ‘Pure / Honey’
  • ‘Blow’
  • ‘Summer Renaissance’

How are the reviews?

It's safe to say Beyoncé has been killing it. Taking her sparkling alien invasion to the stage every night, the BeyHive has not been disappointed, with fans saying they ‘needed 24 hours to process it’ and that she ‘hasn't only raised the bar with this tour – she has obliterated it’.

Grace Beard, Time Out's deputy travel editor, was lucky enough to catch the show last night. She said: ‘How do I summarise seeing the indomitable Beyoncé in the flesh for the first time? From the opening medley of ballads through to the soaring Summer Renaissance finale, I cried, I screamed, and I damn near threw up. The outfits! The Blue Ivy cameo! The voguing!

‘Watching the world's greatest living performer transform a north London football stadium into a glittering, otherworldly celebration of Black queer culture? And during Pride Month? Unreal – even from sky-high nosebleed seats.’

When are her remaining shows in London and the UK?

Queen Bey has been performing in the capital all week, with her remaining shows at the north London stadium taking place on June 3 and 4. Sadly, those will be the singer’s final UK concerts as she will be jetting off to Barcelona for a performance on June 8.

Are there any tickets left?

Unsurprisingly, tickets to the Renaissance World Tour sold out in record time, with demand being so high the ‘Cuff It’ singer added three more dates. There are still a few tickets left on Ticketmaster, but before you get your hopes up they are selling for between £100 and £200 and many of the seats have an ‘obstructed view’.

Tickets for the North American leg of the tour will be available through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program. Tickets will go on sale Monday, Feb 6, with an exclusive presale to BeyHive members, according to a Live Nation press release.

Verified Fan registration is now open. Once you register, you'll be placed in a lottery system that determines which fans get invited to purchase tickets. Registration alone doesn't guarantee tickets. If you're selected, you'll get an access code the day before tickets go on sale. Everyone else will be placed on a waitlist. According to Live Nation, this process is intended to help Ticketmaster weed out the resellers and verify your account so that actual fans get priority to buy tickets.

Citi cardmembers will have a special Citi Presale after the Verified Fan process. Get more details here . Verizon will also offer an exclusive presale through their customer loyalty program Verizon Up .

Will Beyoncé be using Ticketmaster like Taylor Swift to sell tickets?

Yes, but given what happened with Taylor Swift's Eras tour (and the fact it led to Congressional hearings about Ticketmaster ’s practices), it seems very likely both Beyoncé and Ticketmaster would want to avoid repeating that mess. That most likely explains the usage of the Verified Fan system.

Where will Beyoncé be playing?

The Renaissance World Tour will hit 40 cities in North America and across Europe. Stops include Paris, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and many more.

What has Beyoncé said about the Renaissance World Tour?

She just announced it was happening with a post on February 1. Her website didn't immediately contain any more details. But during the Wearable Art Gala in October 2022, she appeared to confirm it would start this summer, as a backstage tour with her mother Tina Lawson was up for auction at the event.

Will Beyoncé be performing at the Grammys (on February 5) and sharing more tour details there?

Not clear yet, but she is the most nominated artist at the ceremony . On January 21, Variety reported that “ talks with show producers are ongoing for a possible onstage appearance ” by Beyoncé.

What can we expect from the tour on stage?

Beyoncé hasn't shared that yet either, but given the artistry she put into her recent Dubai show , it's fair to say we can expect no less than excellence, elaborate costumes, and an incredible experience.

This post will be updated the moment more detail is released.

The announcement comes after Beyoncé seemingly confirmed the 2023 ‘Renaissance’ tour via an auction last year .

Last month, Beyoncé performed her first concert in four years at the launch of a luxury hotel in Dubai  although no ‘Renaissance’ material was played.

Reviewing ‘Renaissance’, NME  described the singer’s first studio album in six years as “a celebration of love and Black joy” that is “indebted to house music and New Orleans bounce, keenly reclaiming gentrified genres”.

beyonce dubai performance

As expected, Beyoncé has announced a 2023 world tour on Instagram, supporting her multiple-Grammy-nominated 2022 album, “Renaissance.” She also released the dates and cities on her official website.

The timing of the announcement, which comes just days before the Grammy Awards on Sunday, sparks speculation that the singer may perform or at least appear on the show. Beyoncé is the most nominated artist for the awards with nine, all related to “ Renaissance .” Sources tell Variety that her husband Jay-Z will perform with DJ Khaled on the show, most likely their nominated song “God Did.”

Beyoncé has said that “Renaissance” is a three-part project, so it’s possible that the next parts could be another album, a long-form video project or even the tour itself.

Beyoncé’s last full tour was the nearly six-month, 49-date “Formation” tour in 2016, which unusually featured no guest appearances until the final show, at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, where she brought out Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z.

She did, however, stage an epochal “Homecoming” headlining performance at the 2018 Coachella festival — which was postponed from 2017 due to the birth of her and Jay’s twins — for which she was accompanied by a full marching band in a nod to historically Black colleges and universities. That blockbuster performance was later released as the “Homecoming” album and — via a three-project deal with Netflix that sources tell Variety is worth $60 million — a feature-length documentary. It seems possible that a future “Renaissance” video project could be part of that deal as well.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance – live: Inside the London premiere of her record-breaking world tour

Beyoncé unveiled the concert film for her record-breaking Renaissance tour in London tonight (Thursday 30 November), with Taylor Swift among the high-profile guests.

The Lemonade artist turned up to support Swift’s own concert film for her Eras tour when it premiered in Hollywood in October. Swift later paid moving tribute to Beyoncé, praising her as a “guiding light” who had taught her to “break rules and defy industry norms”.

Renaissance, A Film by Beyoncé will chart the huge undertaking of the US artist’s tour supporting her Grammy-winning 2022 album, Renaissance . Produced, written and directed by the singer, it will intersperse footage of concerts taking place around the world with backstage scenes and intimate moments between Beyoncé and her family.

Around 2.7 million concertgoers are estimated to have attended the Renaissance tour over the course of five months, while Billboard reports that the shows have grossed close to half a billion dollars worldwide.

The film’s description reads: “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”

Why Beyoncé is worth your money

No one needs a reminder of how times, for many, are tough. Lots of people don’t have the luxury to spend a significant chunk of money on going to concerts – and it’s a shame for music lovers hoping to catch their favourite artist.

But! If you do find that there’s room in the budget for a good gig, I humbly suggest trying to get a ticket to a Beyoncé show – because you will go away feeling the value of every penny.

Read Nicole Vassell’s justification for investing in an experience like a Bey show... and soon, you can get a piece of the action from the cinema:

Paying up to £199 to see Beyoncé live? I can vouch for the spectacle that awaits you

The singer has announced five UK dates on her world tour, with the ticket prices raising eyebrows. But ignore the £2,400 on-stage seats, says Nicole Vassell, some superstars deliver every time

Teaser of Renaissance Tour film

Did Beyoncé do a last-minute outfit change?

According to her Instagram post shared hours before the premiere, she appeared to be wearing a floor-length gold dress and matching silver elbow-high gloves.

In one of the photos, she was seated beside Jay-Z in a screening room, holding a bucket of popcorn and a soda.

However, in photos of her at the actual Renaissance premiere, she wore a sparkly black dress with bleach-blonde hair.

Taylor swift stuns at beyoncé’s renaissance film premiere in london.

Swift has shown up in solidarity for fellow pop star Beyonce’s Renaissance film premiere in London.

The “Cruel Summer” singer reportedly boarded her private jet in Kansas City on Wednesday 29 November evening and landed at London’s Stansted Airport hours before the global premiere.

Swift donned a sparkling silver Balmain gown, a reference to the dress code the “Cuff It” singer requested fans follow if they were attending her concerts during Virgo season, in honour of her zodiac sign.

‘Anti-Hero’ singer showed up to support Beyoncé’ for her London film premiere

According to The Independent ’s music correspondent Roisin O’Connor, who was in attendance, guests were given champagne, salted popcorn and Smarties to munch on. All attendees were required to lock up their phones before they entered the screening room.

Round-up of the biggest stars in attendance at tonight’s premiere

For those who are just tuning into the blog, here’s a quick rundown of all the biggest stars (that we know of) that showed up in support of Beyoncé and her Renaissance Tour film.

Undoubtedly, the biggest celebrity to make a splash with her attendance was Taylor Swift. The “Anti-Hero” singer reciprocated the same support Queen Bey showed at her October Eras Tour premiere.

Rapper will.i.am, actor Blake Lively, British presenter AJ Odudu, Destiny Child member Michelle Williams, Blue Ivy, singer Sia, and British socialite and model Emma Thynn were also present.

A majority of the guests wore silver in honour of the tour’s theme: Afrofuturist disco fantasia.

A precious video for your feed of one of the security dogs getting his picture taken at the Renaissance premiere.

Beyoncé addresses attendees ahead of screening

Ahead of the screening of her Renaissance Tour film, which was delayed by 45 minutes, Beyoncé addressed attendees thanking them for coming.

“Thank you for coming, thank you for dressing up,” the “Cuff It” singer said, adding that she was proud that the film was coming out on World Aid’s Day (1 December).

Beyoncé’s late uncle Johnny – whom she said she was raised by in a 2006 interview – died of Aids in the early 2000s.

She concluded her speech by telling the audience: “Feel free to dance, sing, cry... thank you.”

How Blue Ivy responded to criticisms of her dancing on tour

Of course, Beyoncé was the star of the Renaissance tour – but if there’s anyone who could’ve taken her shine, it’s her 11-year-old daughter Blue.

Blue popped up at several of her mother’s shows, performing some of the dance routine to Beyoncé’s Black is King track, “My Power”.

In the film, Beyoncé discusses how Blue responded when critics were harsh about her dancing skills on some of the earlier dates on the tour... and apparently, she used the criticisms as fuel to get better.

The New York Times reported that after the concert, Beyoncé was apparently “dismayed” to discover that Blue Ivy had read negative social media comments about her supposed “lacklustre” moves.

However, she was thrilled when her daughter decided to “put in the work” to improve.

Blue Ivy used Renaissance backlash as motivation, Beyoncé reveals

Beyoncé ‘Renaissance’: What the fans wore to London’s opening show

Photographs by Toby Hancock, CNN Story by Leah Dolan, CNN May 30, 2023

Beyoncé has officially landed in London. Last night, the British capital welcomed the pop superstar for the much anticipated “Renaissance” world tour.

We expected an Afrofuturist disco-fueled fantasy, and on the first night of her weeklong residency at north London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (one of the city’s largest stadiums with a capacity of over 60,000) fans showed out in mirror ball cowboy hats, crystal-encrusted corsets and space-age catsuits.

Since its release in 2022, the quadruple Grammy award-winning record has had far-reaching cultural impact, including in fashion. With revered album art that saw Beyoncé in Schiaparelli couture, Alaïa, Mugler and Gucci, as well as her headline- generating stage costumes from the likes of Loewe and Balmain, it’s no wonder fans are taking their concert looks seriously.

Beyoncé Has Announced London Dates For Her ‘Renaissance’ World Tour

Beyoncé is hitting London in May this year in support of her latest album 'Renaissance' - catch her waltzing into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for two nights.

Jack Saddler

Get ready to have your souls broken: Beyoncé is coming back into town. In support of last year’s critically-acclaimed album Renaissance , the superstar is heading back out on the road for a world tour, with two nights in London coming up.

Kicking off in May is the European leg of Beyoncé’s tour – after nights in Cardiff and Edinburgh, she will hit London for two nights at the 62,000 capacity stadium of Tottenham Hotspur football club on May 29-30 .

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce)

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Beyoncé released a post that simply read: “RENAISSCANCE WORLD TOUR 2023,” with a suitably iconic photo of the artist atop of a silver horse; much like the recent album cover. Her website gives a full list of tour dates. Tickets for UK shows can be purchased here , with the main sale commencing on February 7 (though a number of pre-sales from O2, BeyHive, and Live Nation are taking place before this date).

The Renaissance tour marks Beyoncé’s first major outings since her co-headline On The Run II set of dates with husband Jay-Z, which saw the two artists play a duo of nights at the London Stadium. Beyoncé’s last solo UK tour dates back to 2016, when London was treated to two nights at Wembley Stadium in support of her album Lemonade . Last month, the singer did perform her first concert in four years in Dubai, but no material from Renaissance was performed.

Renaissance was released on July 29, 2022 ; and marked Beyoncé’s fourth UK number one album. Following its release, Beyoncé was nominated for a 2023 BRIT Award for Best International Artist . She is also nominated for nine Grammy awards including Record of the Year and Song of the Year .

Beyoncé returned to the stage for first time in four years in January

Last month, Beyoncé made her return to the stage and performed at the opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai. Despite the luxury experience, the singer left fans wanting more, as she did not perform any songs from "Renaissance," The Hollywood Reporter reported.

The invitation-only event marked her first concert in more than four years. She last performed at the  Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 event in 2018.

Beyoncé dominates Grammy nominations

The singer's tour announcement comes days ahead of the Grammys where Beyoncé leads the 2023 lineup with nine nominations, including best dance/electronic album ("Renaissance"), best R&B performance ("Virgo’s Groove") and best traditional R&B performance ("Plastic Off the Sofa").

With 28 wins and 88 total career nominations, Beyoncé now ties her husband, rapper Jay-Z , for the most nominations in Grammy history. If Beyoncé picks up four or more awards this year, she will surpass the late Georg Solti for the most Grammy wins of all time. (The Hungarian-born conductor holds the record with 31.)

Beyoncé called out by Monica Lewinsky: over 'Partition' lyric after ableism controversy

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have got "to be the most intense power couple in the history of music," Recording Academy president Harvey Mason Jr. Mason said after the nominations were revealed. "That’s music and Grammy royalty – that’s the royal family."

Their combined 176 nominations are "absolutely a testament to their talent, to their level of excellence, to their work ethic, to their level of greatness over a long period of time. I don’t even know what the next (leading) couple would be, but it’s not anywhere close.”

Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul.' Taylor Swift's 'Anti-Hero.'  These are the 10 best songs of 2022, ranked.

Beyoncé noticeably was not nominated in any of the music video categories for the Grammys, having not released any album visuals for "Renaissance" since its debut.

Every Look From Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, From Custom Catsuits to Disco-Inspired Couture

Beyonce performs wearing Balenciaga

Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour began with a bang in Stockholm and it hasn't slowed down since. The highly-anticipated show has featured inventive set design, a decades-spanning setlist, and a plethora of standout style moments—from to archival pieces to custom looks and nearly everything in between. The star’s wardrobe has combined her signature style with the visual ethos of the album Renaissance ( think lots of sequins, silver, catsuits, and the occasional bee-inspired look). Beyoncé has also been wearing looks from brands specific to the city she’s performing in—for the UK leg of her tour she wore picks from the London-based Mary Katrantzou and Robert Wun while in Marseille, France she opted for a look by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

The singer has donned looks from both established brands—Valentino, Mugler, lots of Alexander McQueen, among others—as well as smaller labels like Anrealage and Brandon Blackwood. Balmain catsuits and mini dresses have been a constant throughout her tour wardrobe (in March, she partnered with creative director Olivier Rousteing to design a Renaissance couture line for the brand ) as well as imaginative pieces from Loewe. Beyoncé began the tour in Europe which has seen her in London, Paris, and other cities with the last being Warsaw, Poland on June 28th. She will then head to North America with her last date coming in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 27th. Needless to say, there will be countless more style moments to come—so, to make sure you don’t miss one look, keep checking back here as we keep track of everything Beyoncé has worn during the Renaissance world tour.

Who’s Who on Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’

A guide to key guests and behind-the-scenes figures on the star’s eighth studio album.

  • Share full article

Beyoncé smiles while wearing a cowboy hat and an outfit covered in jewels.

By Hank Shteamer

A new Beyoncé release isn’t just an album — it’s a sprawling collective effort where the supporting cast and behind the scenes crew can reveal a lot about the scope of the star’s vision. For “Cowboy Carter,” in addition to household names like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus and Post Malone (and a brief cameo from her daughter Rumi), she’s looped in a slew of collaborators new and old. Here’s a guide to some of the most significant figures you’ll see in the credits.

Rhiannon Giddens

Rihannon Giddens plays on the “Cowboy Carter” single “Texas Hold ’Em,” but beyond the banjo and viola she contributed to the track, she lends the whole project a special kind of historical weight. During the past two decades, Giddens has led a new wave of folk artists helping to shed light on the foundational role that Black musicians played in the creation of American roots music. A scholar of the banjo as much as a practitioner, she’s made it her mission to educate audiences about its history as an African-descended instrument that was once, as she put it in 2017 when she won a MacArthur Genius Grant , “an absolute emblem of the African American in the South.”

Trained as an opera singer, Giddens rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops — with Dom Flemons, Justin Robinson and Sule Greg Wilson — a Grammy-winning group that celebrated and updated the legacy of Black string bands with help from an older mentor, the fiddler Joe Thompson. In 2023, she released “You’re the One,” her first album of all original material. Last year, Giddens also won a Pulitzer Prize for “Omar,” an opera she co-wrote with the composer Michael Abels based on the life of a West African Muslim scholar who was captured and sold as a slave in America.

Raphael Saadiq

Raphael Saadiq’s name has been a mark of quality in R&B for more than 30 years. Saadiq, who wrote, produced and played various instruments on Beyoncé’s latest, first found fame in the late ’80s with the trio Tony! Toni! Toné! and went on to score a Top 20 solo hit with “Ask of You” in 1995. He became an in-demand producer and worked with a wide array of artists including D’Angelo — whose two biggest hits, “Lady” and “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” are Saadiq co-writes — as well as Whitney Houston, Erykah Badu and Bilal. He’s been in Beyoncé’s orbit for years, having produced her team-up with Stevie Wonder on a 2005 Luther Vandross tribute album, helped produce her sister Solange’s acclaimed 2016 effort “A Seat at the Table,” and appeared on “Renaissance” as a producer, writer and performer.

Linda Martell

More than 50 years ago, Linda Martell broke barriers in country music, becoming the first Black woman to find commercial success in the genre, and the first to perform on the Grand Ole Opry as a solo act. Her lone album, “Color Me Country” from 1970, found her rebranding as a country artist after earlier work in a girl-group pop vein, and yielded two Top 40 country singles. But Martell faced racism on the road — “You’d be singing and they’d shout out names and you know the names they would call you,” she told Rolling Stone in 2020 — and, after a dispute with her producer, her career faltered. She never made another album, but reissues of “Color Me Country” have brought overdue attention to the artist, now 82, over the past decade. “I am proud that Beyoncé is exploring her country music roots,” she said in a statement on Friday. “What she is doing is beautiful, and I’m honored to be a part of it. It’s Beyoncé, after all!”

Robert Randolph

Robert Randolph’s pedal-steel guitar is a background texture on “Cowboy Carter,” turning up on the single “16 Carriages,” but typically, it’s the star attraction. Since the early 2000s, Randolph has been touring and recording with his Family Band, honing a rousing fusion of R&B, rock, funk, blues and the gospel music he grew up on. Before he became a bandleader and an in-demand collaborator with the Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, Norah Jones and other marquee names, he was a musical phenom in the Black Pentecostal church, working in the tradition of so-called sacred steel. As Randolph recently told Rolling Stone , Beyoncé recruited him to help add “country fire” to her new project: “She said she liked the way I make my instrument sound like a singer.”

Dave Hamelin

Dave Hamelin spent the early 2000s drumming — and, later, playing guitar and singing — in the Stills, a Montreal outfit that was part of an explosion of indie-rock from Canada dovetailing with the fertile New York scene. After the band’s 2011 breakup, Hamelin found a niche as a producer to various Canadian rock luminaries, including Broken Social Scene’s Kevin Drew, the Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie and, later, American acts in the GOOD Music orbit, like the singer-rapper 070 Shake. His “Cowboy Carter” work, which includes songwriting, production and keyboards on “16 Carriages,” marks his first Beyoncé credit.

Tanner Adell

“Lookin’ like Beyoncé with a lasso,” Tanner Adell described herself on “Buckle Bunny,” the title track from her 2023 debut. The singer-songwriter, who has cited Dolly Parton and Destiny’s Child as key early influences, has racked up tens of millions of streams and amassed an impressive TikTok following with her twangy-voiced, attitude-heavy fusion of country, pop and hip-hop. Her recent acoustic ballad “Luke Combs,” where she professes that her “country heart still wants to be the girl in a Luke Combs song,” shows off her range. “My dream is to be the first genuinely country pop star,” she said last year , in an interview where she named Beyoncé as her dream collaborator. Now, she’s one of four guests on a cover of the Beatles’ “Blackbird.”

Khirye Tyler

Before the producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Khirye Tyler made his studio debut with Beyoncé on “Texas Hold ’Em,” his name turned up in the credits for another No. 1 hit: Roddy Ricch’s “The Box.” Establishing himself as part of the gospel-soul outfit Red Hands, Tyler has made inroads into the pop world, working as a musical director for Khalid and Alicia Keys, appearing on albums by Keys and Jay Electronica, and wearing numerous hats on Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. Tyler played keyboards, contributed arrangements and helped musically direct the run; he also worked on the score for the tour’s companion documentary.

Brittany Spencer

In fall 2020, Brittany Spencer posted a video of herself covering the Highwomen’s “Crowded Table.” Less than a year later, she was onstage with the supergroup at BottleRock Napa, filling in for Amanda Shires, who was recovering from surgery. Hooked early on the Chicks and Shania Twain, the Baltimore native — who grew up performing in church choir and began singing classical music in high school — moved to Nashville in 2013 and honed her songwriting while working odd jobs. Her social-media breakthrough earned her high-profile opening slots with Jason Isbell and Reba McEntire, and paved the way for her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2021. Her new LP “My Stupid Life” showcases country-steeped songs that would sound perfectly at home on pop radio. She also appears on “Blackbiird.”

The rising singer-songwriter Shaboozey — whose alias riffs on his last name, Chibueze, an Igbo word meaning “God is king” — draws equally on the hip-hop he grew up watching on BET’s “106 & Park,” the country music he heard in his native Virginia and classic-rock staples like Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. After leaning toward trap on his earliest singles, he has carved out a unique space on more recent efforts like “Annabelle” and “Let It Burn,” layering his deep, drawling voice over acoustic guitar and folk-pop grooves while adding dashes of rap. “Sometimes I don’t feel I should rightfully be labeled as a country artist,” he said recently , ahead of his appearance on the “Cowboy Carter” tracks “Spaghettii” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin’.” “I have peers who make country in its truest form.”

Willie Jones

Willie Jones, credited on the gospelly “Just for Fun,” has racked up tens of millions of streams with a savvy blend of radio-ready country and the swagger of Southern rap. “Welcome to the ratchet Black zydeco rodeo,” the Louisiana artist sang on his 2021 single “Down by the Riverside” over a crunchy bar-band-like groove. On last year’s “Dive Bar,” he and fellow singer-songwriter Ben Burgess vowed, “We gonna turn this club into a dive bar tonight.” Jones, who grew up singing gospel music and pursued musical theater in high school, signed with Sony Music Nashville in 2021.

Reyna Roberts

The singer-songwriter Reyna Roberts, who appears on “Blackbiird,” started out early in country music, performing covers of the Chicks and LaBelle before the age of 5. The daughter of Army parents, she moved from Alaska to Alabama to California growing up and soaked up a variety of music , like Gretchen Wilson and the “awesome guitar riffs” of Steve Vai. She received a key career boost in 2020 when Mickey Guyton posted a video of her at the piano, belting out a cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Drinking Alone,” which Underwood reposted days later. As heard on “Stompin’ Grounds,” one of a few of her songs to earn more than a million streams, and “Louisiana,” a down-home anthem from her 2023 debut full-length “Bad Girl Bible,” her sound leans toward a raucous country-rock hybrid.

Tiera Kennedy

Tiera Kennedy has called her sound “R&B country,” a smooth blend that yielded more than 20 million streams for “Found It in You,” a 2021 track — written with her husband, the songwriter-producer Cameron Bedell — released when she was still unsigned. Kennedy grew up in Birmingham, Ala., where her parents played R&B around the house and local bluegrass musicians introduced her to classic country. Her family moved to Nashville, and she found a valuable mentor in Shania Twain, who invited Kennedy to perform on the music-competition show “Real Country.” Since then, Kennedy has honored Twain at the Ryman, debuted at the Grand Ole Opry, inked a record deal with Scott Borchetta (who once signed Taylor Swift), begun hosting an Apple Music country show, joined Beyoncé for “Blackbiird,” and released the twangy, hooky country-rock single “Jesus, My Mama, My Therapist” ahead of her upcoming debut album.

McCartney also shared his feelings about the song still being so relevant today.

Paul McCartney is letting fans know that he more than approves of Beyoncé's cover of The Beatles' "Blackbird."

"I am so happy with @beyonce's version of my song 'Blackbird,'" McCartney shared on Instagram Thursday. "I think she does a magnificent version of it and it reinforces the civil rights message that inspired me to write the song in the first place."

Will Beyoncé announce the Cowboy Carter' tour? Fans think she may be hitting the road again soon.

  • Beyoncé released her new album "Cowboy Carter" on Friday.
  • Some fans think she's gearing up to tour again, though many say they don't have the funds to attend.
  • The Renaissance World Tour wrapped last October in Kansas City. It was hailed as a must-see event.

Insider Today

Less than a year after the Renaissance World Tour wrapped, it might already be time for the Beyhive to dust off their boots and head back out to see Beyoncé live again.

The Renaissance World Tour was hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime event , a bona fide status symbol , and a blockbuster concert movie that awed audiences while near-singlehandedly boosting AMC's revenue . The 56-show run wrapped on October 1, 2023, in Kansas City.

On its heels, Beyoncé has released her new album " Cowboy Carter ." The triumphant country-inspired project is billed as "Act II" in a three-part "Renaissance" series.

So it would stand to reason — financially and thematically — that Beyoncé would plan another tour leg for "Cowboy Carter."

Her team seemed to hint that something is coming by launching a new website, " Been Country ." The landing page shows a photo of young Beyoncé performing at the Texas Sweetheart Pageant, as well as a childhood photo of her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson , and an image of a banjo.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Slayonce Avenue (@slayonce_avenue2)

A fan account on Instagram shared a rumor that the tour announcement is scheduled for Friday, exactly one week after the album's arrival. Knowles-Lawson liked the post, adding more fuel to the rumor's flame.

Beyoncé's longtime collaborator The-Dream, who produced 10 of the new album's 27 tracks, also alluded to a forthcoming tour. He celebrated the release of "Cowboy Carter" on X, writing, "This tour bout to B' Incredible!"

Fans grabbed screenshots of The-Dream's post, though it has since been deleted.

However, the six-month turnaround since Beyoncé's last concert does cast suspicion on these theories. Thanks to "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé," we know the Renaissance World Tour took four years to ideate and execute.

It's unclear if plans for a "Cowboy Carter" show were also in the works during that time, but if not, fans may have to wait a bit longer to watch Beyoncé perform. As she's already made clear, " A queen moves at her own pace ."

Even so, a delay may come as welcome news, even for dedicated members of the Beyhive.

Many fans have been posting about their lack of ticket funds on X, playfully begging Beyoncé to put off touring until next year.

AMC Entertainment chief executive Adam Aron saw a 2023 compensation package of $25.4 million — up from $23.7 million a year ago – inflated by stock awards worth $17.9 million along with a cash bonus of $6 million bonus and a $1.5 million base salary.

In a proxy statement filed with the SEC, the compensation committee of the world’s biggest exhibitor cited progress on several fronts last year in a challenging climate for theatrical as Hollywood strikes interrupted a nascent post-Covid recovery.

Charter CEO Chris Winfrey Sees $89 Million Compensation Package In 2023

“Our draft proxy shows I was awarded AMC stock in 2023 (that I can not sell any time soon) valued using SEC required methodology at $17.9 million. At yesterday’s closing share price, it is actually worth $1,345,000. So my compensation — valued presently — was $16.5 million less.” The shares ended the week at about $3.

Aron and the board said in February they’d agreed to cut his target compensation by 25% this year in a nod to disgruntled retail shareholders. It means the target amount that he’d be eligible for would be lower.

The proxy ticked off management accomplishments during a difficult time including rising revenue, positive adjusted ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization), chipping away at AMC’s hefty debt, and raising cash through equity sales. The company launched AMC Theatres Distribution and secured rights to concert films Taylor Swift I The Eras Tour – which helped keep the box office afloat in the fourth quarter — and Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce . It continued a laser projector upgrade and expanded retail sales of AMC branded popcorn.

A slow start to the box office in 2024 with fewer wide releases had clipped projections for exhibition although things may be looking and are expected to rebound in the second half.

CFO Sean Goodman’s package, the next highest, totaled $6.7 million, according to the proxy, which outlines the pay of a company’s five top paid executives
