Radium wilderness tour.

Trip Length 1.5 Hours

Join us for this one-of-a-kind experience. After parking just follow the signs to our training course area to meet your awesome guide. After a short training session, your professional guide will lead you through the picturesque trail system located along the Kootenay National Park border. The tour crosses a variety of terrain and you’ll make some stops along the way for photos and interpretation. No experience is required for this fun off-road adventure. Make sure you dress for the weather and are prepared to be outside for 1.5 Hours.

Please note that tours are subject to weather and trail conditions. Scootin’ Kootenay Tours reserves the right to cancel or postpone tours if conditions are not sufficient. Refunds will be issued accordingly with this policy.

• Closed Toe Shoes are required
• Weather-appropriate clothes are required. Guests who do not dress appropriately will not be able to participate.

Segway Hiking in the Heat!

Fun way to see nature and try something new. Patrick, our guide, was very professional and knowledgeable.

Melanie, our guide, stayed longer to accommodate our group of 7 (one 12 yr old).This was nice as it was for a birthday that we decided to go! After our safety video and COVID friendly one on one training we were set! Being as we caught on decently, we kept up and had time to do another path twice. We all LOVED it. Beautiful views, nature paths and we felt safe on the Segways. We would recommend this for a fun couple hours. Our “tour” guide was awesome...and didn’t complain about staying or our random questions. :)

After an exhausting and busy summer I decided to give my staff a day off and do Scootin Kootenay. What a super fun day, all the staff loved it and we all had so many laughs. Patrick was an amazing guide and the segways are very stable and safe, a few of the staff were a little worried about falling off but after a short training everyone was zipping around with no problems at!!

For those of us who can no longer hike mountain trails this is the perfect way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.If you can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time you can handle the Segway.This guided "hike" of approximately one hour takes you on logging trails that were abandoned over fifty years ago in an environmentally friendly manner to some of the most remote and peaceful places in the western foothills.Our guide Patrick was very knowledgeable in the history of the area and the native flora and fauna.We had fun,got some fresh air,learned something,saw some amazing scenery and got to ride a cool toy.Great way to let the kid in you get outside and play.

Each rider needs to meet the weight requirements on their own; we cannot do tandem rides. Our weight limits are strictly enforced, as per the manufacturer and Technical Safety BC.

Important: Participants must be at least 4.5 feet tall to participate. Anyone under 5 feet tall may struggle to reach some elements. For the best experience, a chaperone is recommended to assist those under 5 feet tall.
