About Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus says she 'can't' tour any longer: 'It's so isolating'

miley cyrus going on tour

Miley Cyrus ' touring days may be a thing of the past.

The " Flowers " singer, 30, said she "can't" tour in an interview for the June cover of British Vogue . Her last global endeavor was her 2014 Bangerz tour, which included more than 70 shows across North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

Cyrus added that she "not only 'can't' tour," she doesn't want to. "Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?"

The pop star played five music festival dates last year and has otherwise performed publicly since her Bangerz tour, including a tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins last fall, as musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" in 2021, a Grammys performance with Dolly Parton in 2019 and more.

However, she did not undertake a traditional album tour in support of "Younger Now," "Plastic Hearts" or her latest, "Endless Summer Vacation."

Review: Miley Cyrus brings more 'Flowers' on 'Endless Summer Vacation'

Cyrus told British Vogue she enjoys performing for her friends, but "singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love."

"There's no connection. There's no safety," she added. "It’s also not natural. It's so isolating because if you're in front of 100,000 people, then you are alone."

But don't get it twisted. While tour life may feel isolating, Cyrus' connection to her fans remains the same. In an Instagram post Wednesday, the "River" singer explained her previous comments on not touring anymore .

“For clarity I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever,” Cyrus wrote. “Even if I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart. I'm constantly creating and innovating new ways that I can stay connected to the audience I love – without sacrificing my own essentials.”

Cyrus added that while her performances have "been some of the best days of my life," the rough logistics of touring – sleeping on a bus and packing up her "archival" fashion – are less than ideal. “This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans (and) everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room,” she wrote.

“It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW, (and) if you’ve been following my career you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too,” Cyrus concluded. “Love you forever, I’m just on my Endless Summer Vacation.”

In general, Cyrus seems to hint at increasingly stepping out of the spotlight.

The "Midnight Sky" singer suffers from chronic pain and inflammation, which she said flares up after too much stimuli. After releasing her latest album, she attended several industry events and noticed her "adrenals had been kind of drained."

"I was in a lot of pain," Cyrus told British Vogue. "I was kind of back into the pop star thing and I noticed I had this flare-up."

These days, she said, "You’re more likely to catch me and my friends literally walking through rose gardens or going to a museum. It's not about being self-serious. I’m just evolved."

Don’t Expect Miley Cyrus to Tour Any Time Soon

By Daniel Kreps

Bad news for fans hoping that Miley Cyrus would take her latest album Endless Summer Vacation on the road: The singer revealed in a new interview that she has no plans to embark on another arena tour.

Cyrus hasn’t embarked on a full-scale tour since 2014, a trek in support of Bangerz , which came out a decade — and four studio albums — ago. While she’s played smaller (less than 10 gigs) runs, in her backyard , and performed at dozens at festivals since then — including Glastonbury, Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza — Cyrus told Vogue UK that fans shouldn’t expect a world tour for her latest LP any time soon.

“It’s been a minute,” Cyrus said about touring. “After the last [headline arena] show I did [in 2014], I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t. Not only can’t, because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”

In a social media statement Wednesday, Cyrus clarified her comments, downplaying the “no connection” remark while reiterating that the “reality of life on the road” is the reason why she doesn’t want to tour.

“For clarity I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever,” Cyrus wrote. “Even if I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart. I’m constant creating and innovating new ways that I can stay connect to the audience I love – without sacrificing my own essentials.

Cyrus continued, “Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades. This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room… I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus.

Although Cyrus opened 2023 with a televised New Year’s Eve show, she currently has no live dates on her calendar for the remainder of the year.

Miley Cyrus is clarifying her reason for not having a “desire” to go on extended headlining tours anymore.

The “Flowers” singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to express her love and appreciation for fans, and also to detail how difficult touring can actually be.

This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road.”

Her response comes after comments she made during an interview with British Vogue , where she said she’s not sure if she can see herself doing tours in the foreseeable future. This left many fans confused, especially those who were anticipating Cyrus to go on tour after releasing her latest studio album,  Endless Summer Vacation , in March.

“It’s been a minute,” she said in the interview for the magazine’s cover story. “After the last [headline arena] show I did [in 2014], I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t. Not only ‘can’t’, because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”…leaving the answer to that question up in the air.

The Grammy-nominated singer went on to explain on Instagram that the logistics that go into touring don’t fit into her lifestyle at the moment. “These looks I’ve been turnin’ don’t travel well,” she detailed. “The archival looks don’t fold. I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW.”

Miley Cyrus season is officially in full swing. A new era has finally begun but will there be an Endless Summer Vacation Tour ?

It's hard to believe it but it's now almost 10 years since Miley Cyrus went on her last world tour. In the time since, she ended her Bangerz Tour, Miley Cyrus has released multiple hit singles (' Malibu ', ' Midnight Sky ', ' Mothers Daughter '), multiple hit albums ( Younger Now , Plastic Hearts etc. ), an EP ( She Is Coming ) and a brilliant live album ( Attention ).

In January, Miley launched her Endless Summer Vacation era with the record-breaking number 1 single ' Flowers '. Now, the album is here and demand to see Miley perform live is higher than ever. What has she said about a potential tour though?

Is Miley Cyrus going on tour in 2023?

Will there be an Endless Summer Vacation Tour?

As it stands, Miley is yet to confirm whether or not she will be going on tour in support of her new Endless Summer Vacation album. However, given how much Miley loves performing live, and how popular 'Flowers' is, it seems very likely that a tour will happen.

Miley released her last album, Plastic Hearts , during 2020 when touring was still difficult due to the coronavirus pandemic. With the world more open now, we imagine that Miley will be eager to go on tour.

In the meantime, you can watch Miley perform songs from Endless Summer Vacation live on Disney+ in her brand new Backyard Sessions.

Endless Summer Vacation Tour dates: When is Miley Cyrus going on tour in 2023?

There is currently no information on if/when Miley Cyrus will go on tour. That being said, if she does do an Endless Summer Vacation Tour , it's possible that she will start the tour in spring/summer after the album comes out on March 10th. In other words, get your savings ready because you could be seeing Miley live imminently.

Bookmark this page and we'll update you with more info as soon as it's announced.

Miley Cyrus 2023 tour locations: What cities will Miley Cyrus play in?

Miley Cyrus is yet to reveal where she will next be going on tour. However, given that it's been almost an entire decade since her last world tour, we reckon that Miley will be aiming to play to as many of her fans as possible.

For her last world tour, Miley performed in Europe, North America, Oceania and South America. Our bet is that the Endless Summer Vacation Tour will feature dates in all of these places, in particular in the US and the UK.

Miley has done arena tours in the past and we imagine that her next tour will include arenas. That being said, given how popular 'Flowers' is, it's also possible that she will be considering playing stadiums this tour.

Miley is yet to reveal any presale information for an upcoming tour. However, most major artists use similar presale formats. If Miley follows in the footsteps of artists like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, she will probably have a Citi Verified Fan Presale in the US and an O2 Priority Presale in the UK.

There may also be LiveNation and fan presales so make sure you're signed up to Miley's mailing list via her website. Scroll down to the bottom of her main page and enter your information: HERE .

Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation tour ticket prices: How much will the tickets to Miley's tour be?

Prices for Miley Cyrus' next tour are yet to be confirmed. Tickets for her Bangerz Tour started at £47.50 in the UK and went up to £1000 for meet and greets. It's likely that Miley's new tour prices will be slightly higher given that she's only become more popular since Bangerz came out. We imagine that her prices will be similar to other major artists.

For comparison, these are the UK stadium prices for Beyoncé's upcoming Renaissance World Tour.

  • Seated - £56.25 to £199
  • Standing - £106.80
  • Gold Circle - £177.50

May the odds be ever in your favour when booking tickets.

Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation tour setlist: What songs will she play?

Over the course of her legendary career to date, Miley has released seven studio albums, two EPs, multiple live albums and five soundtrack albums as Hannah Montana . With Endless Summer Vacation now here, Miley has hundreds of iconic songs to pick from.

Like most of Miley's previous tours, it seems likely that the Endless Summer Vacation Tour will mainly feature songs of the album it's promoting alongside her biggest hits. Expect to hear 'Flowers' alongside the likes of 'Midnight Sky' and 'The Climb'.

As usual, we won't know the setlist until the first date of the tour. Return to this page then to find out what she plays.

Earlier this week, the singer shared she would not going to head out on a lengthy headline tour in support of her recent album ‘ Endless Summer Vacation ’. Speaking with  British Vogue , she said that “singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love.”

Cyrus has now taken to social media to explain her decision and clear up the misinterpretation of her feelings towards her fans.

“For clarity I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever. When I win, WE win. Even if I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart,” she wrote. “I’m constantly creating and innovating new ways that I can stay connected to the audience I love — without sacrificing my own essentials.”

“Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades. This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road,” she added.

The singer continued: “These looks I’ve been turning don’t travel well. The archival looks don’t fold. I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW, & if you’ve been following my career you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too. Many fans took to the comments to reply with messages of love and understanding. One fan said: “Normalize artists setting boundaries. They are human beings, not zoo” Among the fans commenting was OneRepublic ‘s Ryan Tedder saying “Sleeping on a moving bus is literal hell. I’m right there with you Miley.”

Earlier this month, ‘Endless Summer Vacation’’s lead single ‘Flowers’ became  the fastest song to reach a billion streams on Spotify , breaking a record previously shared by  Harry Styles  for ‘ As It Was ’ and  Justin Bieber ’s collab with  The Kid LAROI , ‘ Stay ’.

In  a four-star review ,  NME  said that ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ “certainly feels like an accurate reflection of who she is as an artist – and a person – in 2023”.

“She’s still working out what she wants from a relationship. She knows she can pull off different musical styles even when she’s not trying to make bangers (or ‘Bangerz’). And when she sings “But don’t forget, baby I’m a wildcard” on the third-to-last song, you’ll definitely believe her.”

Last month,  an album of potential Miley Cyrus demos was discovered on streaming platforms  under the name Clara Pierce. ‘Down With Me’ featured a variety of tracks with similarities to various unreleased Cyrus songs, but was soon removed from all major streaming sites.

However, some fans have suggested that ‘Down With Me’ could just be another impressive  AI-generated music project  like  “lost”  Oasis album ‘AISIS’.

For nearly a decade, Miley Cyrus has been on an endless summer vacation from arena tours.

Although the “Flowers” singer has continued to perform live in recent years, her most recent full arena tour came in 2014, when she went out on her Bangerz tour to support her album of the same name. She has since played only festivals and brief album tours with five to eight performances, including a weeklong stint on “ The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ” in 2017.

In a recent cover-story interview with British Vogue , Cyrus explained why she has been leery of arena tours, despite her chart-topping hits and impassioned fan base.

“Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love,” the former Disney Channel star said. “There’s no connection. There’s no safety.”

Cyrus, who commands a following of more than 200 million users on Instagram, said she’s grateful for her fans, but added that it’s “not natural” trying to please thousands of people. She called the transition from being in front of 100,000 people to being alone afterward “isolating.”

Cyrus’ last headlining arena tour in 2014 spanned nine months and saw her traveling to three continents for 78 shows, including a stop at Los Angeles’ Cypto.com Arena, then known as Staples Center. Packed with hits such as “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop” and a lot of twerking , the Bangerz tour amassed ticket sales of more than $60 million. Yet it was then that Cyrus started to rethink touring.

Miley Cyrus is one of the most influential artists in pop culture. She has five #1 albums including her 2013 GRAMMY-nominated album Bangerz, that is also certified 3x platinum in the U.S., five sold-out world tours and 36 million digital tracks sold in the US alone.

In 2015 she released her free, 23-track surprise experimental album, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, co-produced by Wayne Coyne and other Flaming Lips members. Her sixth album, Younger Now, which was released in 2017, exceeded 1.7 billion streams worldwide.

In the summer of 2019, Cyrus dropped the EP, SHE IS COMING. The EP debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart with the track, “Mother’s Daughter,” garnering 150 million streams worldwide.

In September Cyrus released, “Slide Away,” which currently has 133 million Spotify streams worldwide, with the accompanying video reaching 32 million views in less than a month. Cyrus also collaborated with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey on the soundtrack for the 2019 reboot of Charlie’s Angels with the song “Don’t Call Me Angel.“ The song set the record for biggest single-day streams for an all-female collaboration in Spotify History.

In June she starred in an episode of Netflix Black Mirror titled 'Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too'. The standout role had Cyrus playing pop star Ashley O and featured the track “On A Roll,” which earned 80 million streams, topping the TV Songs chart. Cyrus joins a shortlist of singers who have charted under three separate names but is especially rare as she has had two of these chart positions with acting roles.

In late 2018, Cyrus collaborated with Mark Ronson on the hit song, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” the first single off his upcoming fifth album. Since its release, the now platinum-certified track has garnered 392 million streams and more than 159 million video views.

In addition to her success in music, performing and touring around the world and over a decade of experience in television, Cyrus founded the non-profit organization The Happy Hippie Foundation to rally young people to fight injustice. Since launching, the foundation has provided direct support to thousands of homeless and LGBTQ youth across the country. Cyrus also helped launch the Malibu Foundation to support the community of Malibu and its neighbours as they work to rebuild after the Woolsey Fire.

Live reviews

Well known for her questionable attire and twerking, going to a live performance by Miley Cyrus is going to be wild…no question about it. Whether she’s prancing around the stage in something resembling her underwear, or sticking her tongue out in her trademark style, no two Cyrus shows are the same. Her extreme teen pop vibe, however much bad press it receives, has launched her to fame and success.

If you think the likes of Rhianna’s shows are full of energy, Miley Cyrus’ is doubled, if not tripled. You wonder where she gets it from, but upon looking closer, it materialises that she in fact trains pretty hard alongside her dancers. Ultimately, she loves to put on a good show with outrageous costumes, special effects, and set, which are visually astounding.

She always makes sure to play her most well known songs, and it was fantastic when she sang ‘The Climb’, reminding the audience how she started out as Hannah Montanna star. Wow has she come a long way! Just fantastic.

Miley Cyrus Isn’t Going on Tour Because It “Erases” Her “Humanity”

"Without my humanity [and] my connection, I can’t be a songwriter."

miley cyrus going on tour

Miley Cyrus is putting herself first by choosing not to go on tour. After initially making the announcement back in May, she's doubling down on her choice. When the singer first released her Endless Summer Vacation album, she told fans that she would not be taking the album on the road, and now in an interview series promoting her new tear-jerking song " Used to Be Young ," (a follow-up to the album), Cyrus explained that touring just isn't healthy for her.

Getty Images

"What people don’t really understand about touring is the show is only 90 minutes, but that’s your life," she said in the clip, which was shared to her TikTok. “If you’re performing at a certain level of intensity and excellence, there should be an equal amount of recovery and rest."

"There’s a level of ego that has to play a part, that I feel gets overused when I’m on tour and once that switches on, it’s hard to turn it off," she continued. "And I think when you’re training your ego every single night to be active, that’s the hardest switch for me to turn off."

She also explains that having thousands of people watching her night after night feels de-humanizing. "Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn’t healthy for me," she added. "Because it erases my humanity and my connection and without my humanity [and] my connection I can’t be a songwriter, which is my priority."

She first revealed she wouldn't be embarking on a tour in an interview with British Vogue and later clarified her comments after receiving backlash . "For clarity, I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever," she wrote in an Instagram post. "When I win we win. Even if I don't see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart."

"Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my life & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades," she continued. "This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don't want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road."

Miley Cyrus is opening up about why she doesn’t enjoy touring. The “Wrecking Ball” singer explained why going on tour is not the most healthy of things for her.

In the Used To Be Young series of videos posted on Cyrus’ TikTok account, the former Hannah Montana star explains that traveling as a cheerleader helped her with touring.

Miley Cyrus Has No “Desire” To Tour Again Saying “There’s No Connection” In “Singing For Hundreds Of Thousands Of People”

She continued, “Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn’t healthy for me, because it erases my humanity and my connection and without my humanity [and] my connection I can’t be a songwriter, which is my priority.”

This is not the first time that Cyrus has spoken out against touring. Earlier this year the singer cleared up that she didn’t have a desire to tour again and it wasn’t because she wasn’t connected with her fans.

“It’s been a minute,” Cyrus told British Vogue about touring. “After the last [headline arena] show I did [in 2014], I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t.’”

“Not only can’t,” she continued, “because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”

Cyrus said that performing is “not natural,” adding, “It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people then you are alone.”

With Endless Summer Vacation, Miley Cyrus Glows on a Vocal-Forward Tour of the California Coast

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The post With Endless Summer Vacation, Miley Cyrus Glows on a Vocal-Forward Tour of the California Coast appeared first on Consequence .

There are very few pop artists with the staying power of Miley Cyrus . Maybe it’s because we’ve had the opportunity to be reintroduced to her so many times. Over the past 17 years, since she burst into millions of homes as a young woman who just wanted the best of both worlds, we’ve gotten to know a rebel, a rock star, a pop queen, and a backyard, acoustic girl next door.

With her new studio album Endless Summer Vacation (out today, March 10th), Cyrus has shared yet another side of herself. She’s 30 years old now, but she’s far from settled; the fire that has always burned in Miley that makes her so entrancing, alluring, and unpredictable is still going strong. And, if there’s one thematic takeaway from Endless Summer Vacation ’s 13 tracks, it’s that she’s never going to allow anyone to dim that light.

This era follows Cyrus’ Plastic Hearts , a 2020 rock-forward project that boasted collaborations with Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks . Cyrus describes Endless Summer Vacation , on the other hand, as her “love letter to LA,” and that vision is evident in every corner of the record. Listening through the album feels like living a few days in sunny SoCal with Miley: Waking up with “Flowers,” taking a top-down beachside drive accompanied by “Rose Colored Lenses,” falling in love under the moonlight with “You,” stumbling in and out of the club to “Handstand” and “River,” and then starting the process all over again with the latter half of the LP.

It’s no secret that some of the album (the record-breaking “Flowers” in particular) was inspired by Cyrus’ divorce, but it doesn’t feel strictly like a breakup record. It feels richer and broader than that, a general story of reset and rediscovery that encourages the listener to indulge in their own whims. “I wanna cut off my hair and kick off my boots/ Dance in the wind just to do it again,” she sings on “You.”

In some ways, Endless Summer Vacation recalls Kacey Musgraves’  Golden Hour ; not in the themes, necessarily, seeing as Musgraves’ beloved LP was about reveling in a love that feels like it will never end, but in its genre-fluidity. The two albums also share a strong perspective and a trust in the central voice telling the story.  Endless Summer Vacation , though, comes absolutely alive in the moments when Cyrus lets her trademark vocals fly, unleashing her full power on the listener. And, thankfully, that’s what happens throughout most of the album.

The record is a reminder of that very vocal prowess that has carried Cyrus through so many aforementioned eras. The chorus of “Wildcard” is one standout, while the entirety of sex-powered waltz fantasy “You” is another. She leans furthest back into her Tennessee roots, appropriately, on her collaboration with the wonderful Brandi Carlile, a troubadour’s tale of acceptance titled “Thousand Miles.”

In case anyone thought that this would be a largely country-rock record or a stripped-down California collection, though, there are plenty of tracks that quickly dispel those ideas. Miley goes full pop star on “River,” a club-ready bop that might not have felt out of place on Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia or Lady Gaga’s Chromatica . Co-written by Cyrus (just like every other song on the LP) and produced by Hollywood hitmakers Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, “River” feels like the album’s disco-inspired centerpiece. It’s bookended by “Handstand,” a rumbling, pulsing interlude or sorts, and the playful “Violet Chemistry,” amounting to a transportive three-track run smack in the middle of the record.

While Cyrus still shines on the chorus of “Muddy Feet,” Sia’s presence on the piano-driven song feels inconsequential. There’s also a loss of momentum towards the end of the record on “Island,” a sleepy, tropical daydream with lyrics that don’t grip the listener the way other parts of the album can. Things are re-centered by the finale ballad of “Wonder Woman,” and the choice to place a demo version of “Flowers” is fantastic; it feels like the credits are rolling on Endless Summer Vacation , the lights are coming back on, and Cyrus is ushering us out into a warm afternoon.

For so many listeners, Miley Cyrus has felt like a friend that has walked alongside them through different chapters of life. She’s frank and sometimes messy in all the best ways; she’s a risk-taker and knows what she stands for. Most of us will never know what it’s like to live life so publicly, or to have to sort through the privacy of heartbreak on the world’s stage, and it’s not that she makes any of it look easy — it’s that she makes it look real.

The current of honesty that runs through  Endless Summer Vacation encourages the listener to press play on the record again, and the stories here get even better on a second or third listen. It’s cohesive without feeling repetitive. “Where I end up, I don’t really care/ I’m out of my mind but still I’m holding on,” she sings on “Thousand Miles.”

That sort of plain-spoken storytelling might have made for a good record; Cyrus’ vocals take things further into the territory of greatness.

An assumption that was made after the Hannah Montana alum posted a video to Instagram that focused on the words, "New Year, New Miley," and ultimately turned out to be accurate, given the news of Miley's new album in 2023 .

Given the new music, fans are champing at the bit to see Cyrus perform. With Flowers already being released and speculation that the song is about Cyrus' ex, Liam Hemsworth, there is a buzz about what the other songs will reveal about the Wrecking Ball singer's life since her last album was released nearly three years ago.

Fans who tuned into Miley's New Year's Eve Party were treated to Cyrus performing both alone and with other performers. A move that not only reminded the television audience just how talented a performer the Party in the U.S.A. singer is and what they can expect to see when Cyrus decides to take to the stage and tour once again.

Given that Miley Cyrus has not gone on tour in years, will she tour in 2023?

When Was The Last Time Miley Cyrus Toured?

While it may seem like fans were just watching Cyrus swing across the stage on a wrecking ball, the Bangerz Tour came to a conclusion in October 2014. And while that may be a memorable live performance, that was not the last time that Cyrus performed. There was a smaller tour scheduled in 2015 that not all may be aware of.

instar50062236

When the We Can't Stop singer released her album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz , she scheduled a limited tour to promote the album. The tour was named the Milky Milky Milk Tour. It had only eight concert dates that took place both in the US and Canada in 2015. This was the final time that Cyrus performed at a concert in either country.

Like all other performers, Cyrus put touring on hold with the COVID outbreak. But, having not toured in such a long time, there was some anticipation about coming back to perform live when she did so in 2021 at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Festival.

"Standing up here right now, it doesn’t feel the same as if you would have come to see me three or four years ago," Cyrus explained. "I’m just finding my feet along this platform again."

Cyrus did eventually find her feet and put together another small tour. This time it was to promote Plastic Hearts . Just like the Milky Milky Milk Tour , the Attention Tour was a limited engagement. It was even smaller still, in fact, with just five concert dates, all within South America.

As such, it has been a good eight years since fans have seen Cyrus perform with all of her spark, sizzle, and pizzazz. This is why fans are waiting to see if Endless Summer Vacation is the vehicle that gets the Midnight Sky singer back on stage for a multi-city, multi-country tour.

Where Miley Cyrus Is Expected To Perform In 2023

Just because there are not any tour dates listed for 2023 yet, that does not mean that there will not be announcements forthcoming about festivals Cyrus will be performing at. And if 2023 looks anything like 2022, there should be a few to choose from.

A rumor that is currently floating around is that Cyrus will perform again in 2023 at BottleRock in Napa, California. While this has yet to be confirmed, given that the Malibu singer had such a crowd-favorite set during the 2021 festival, it would not be unheard of for Cyrus to use the BottleRock stage to promote new music.

Lollapalooza was a favorite festival for Cyrus to perform at in 2022 . While she did not hit the Chicago location, she did perform at the festival in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. Given that the lineup has yet to be announced, it is very possible that Cyrus will be a headliner on the tour once again in 2023.

RELATED: The Demo Of Miley Cyrus' Song 'Slide Away' Tells A Different Story

Fans should pay close attention to ticket-purchasing venues for the latest news about touring information for the FU singer. If she does decide to tour, there is no telling the size or scope Cyrus will choose to make her concert dates.

And this means that tickets could sell out shortly after they are announced.

Fans Are Hoping For A Tour To Go With Miley's New Music

Given that Cyrus has not provided any hints about a tour in the works, fans can only speculate when one may come about. And after the countdown on Cyrus' website did not turn out to be an announcement of concert dates but the dropping of her new single instead, it is unclear if dates will be announced for 2023 at all.

instar50865017-1

Many artists will release concert tickets anywhere between three to six months before their concert dates take place . If this rings true for Cyrus, that means that the earliest a concert could take place would be in April.

But, given the title of the new album deals with summer, it would make more sense for a tour to kick off at that time. And that would be closer to the six-month timeframe.

However, Cyrus may want more of her songs to gain traction with fans before choosing any dates to go on tour. And if this is the case, a 2023 concert may be a no-go, with 2024 being more realistic instead.

What Billy Idol Learned (and Loved) About Miley Cyrus Working on Her Song 'Night Crawling' (Exclusive)

"She has a lot of fun, but she takes it seriously," Idol says about how Cyrus navigates her career

miley cyrus going on tour

Billy Idol works as hard as he plays — just like Miley Cyrus !

In a recent exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the rock icon, 68, reflects on his experience working with the "Flowers" singer on the duet "Night Crawling" from her 2020 album Plastic Hearts .

Music producer Andrew Watt — who is a friend of Idol's — worked on the project, which is full of glam rock and synth pop.

Kevin Mazur/Wireimage

The "Dancing with Myself" singer says Cyrus, now 31, asked Watt if she could do a song in Idol's style when the producer asked her if she wanted to collaborate with the icon, which is how the song came about.

"It was more of a Billy Idol track actually, but that's what she wanted to do," Idol says of their track. "So it was like a bit of a techno rock, Billy Idol meets Miley."

The "Sweet Sixteen" singer says that he feels a kinship with Cyrus for a specific reason.

"She really works hard at what she does. I've watched her rehearsing," says Idol, who has performed live with the singer multiple times. "She has a lot of fun, but she takes it seriously, rather like what I do.... We're having a lot of fun, but we're being serious at the same time. So there's a little bit of both going on."

 Per Ole Hagen/Redferns/Getty Images

Idol says the "Wrecking Ball" singer's work ethic made him eager to work with her because he knows how much it takes to succeed as a solo artist.

"She's really committed to what she does. That excited me a lot that I saw how committed she was. It takes a lot of commitment because it is all about you, it's you doing it," he tells PEOPLE.

Their song "Night Crawling" could be referring to club crawling and Idol says it reminds him of his youth.

"It's fun thinking about those days, and Miley was still living inside," Idol admits.

Calvin Harris Teased A Beach-Ready Miley Cyrus Collaboration With A Fitting Video Snippet

Aaron Williams

Back in February, Calvin Harris insinuated that he was looking into a career change . Fortunately for his fans, though, he was only referring to the part of his DJ gig that requires him to play live sets around the world into the wee hours of the morning. He’s still all for producing the music that other DJs can play at clubs — and today, he teased his next song, which will be perfect for doing just that.

The new song — a collaboration with Miley Cyrus — will be perfect for day and beach parties, as he demonstrated with the video teaser he posted to social media. The video captures a peaceful afternoon on the shore, with Miley’s sunny vocals cruising along a mellow, house-oriented beat. Miley sings, “We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean,” making the clip a fitting companion for the song snippet. And while the snippet is seeing significant pickup from fan pages across the social media spectrum, Harris hasn’t given any indication of just when the song will be dropping.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Calvin Harris (@calvinharris)

The upbeat and summery vibe of the song has led to speculation that Harris’ next project could be a continuation of his Funk Wav Bounces series, which has lain dormant since Vol. 2 in 2022. If it is, it’ll certainly enter a more accepting climate for the nu-disco, deep house sort of production that marks the Funk Wav albums than its predecessor. Thanks to Beyoncé and a handful of dance-centric rappers like Drake and Channel Tres, music listeners are better primed for its pop-EDM leanings than they were coming out of a global pandemic. Meanwhile, such a collaboration is a great way to start; Cyrus is white-hot after her country collab with Beyoncé and enlisting Pharrell to produce on her next project.

Stay tuned for more info on the eventual release of Harris and Miley’s latest collab.

NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 05: Singers Beyonce and Miley Cyrus perform on stage during the Conde Nast ... [+] Media Group's Fifth Annual Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall on September 5, 2008 in New York City. (Photo by Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images)

Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé scored a huge hit in the U.S. a few weeks ago when "II Most Wanted" debuted on the Hot 100. The track opened at No. 6 on the chart the week when Bey’s new album Cowboy Carter launched on the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

"II Most Wanted" was a smash across a number of Billboard charts, reaching the top 10 on several lists. About a month later, the track is quickly falling down a few rosters...but radio may be its saving grace, as the cut is improving on several airplay tallies.

This week, "II Most Wanted" grows on two of Billboard’s radio charts. The track jumps from No. 31 to No. 27 on the Pop Airplay list in its third frame. Over on the Adult Contemporary ranking, it’s up from No. 39 to No. 33 in its second stint on the roster.

Radio attention can turn a falling track–perhaps one that debuted high on the charts–around and help it hold on. Continued support across a variety of stations may let "II Most Wanted" slow its decline, and perhaps push it back up the Hot 100 in the coming weeks as more and more DJs and programmers put it into rotation.

As it begins to pick up steam at pop radio in the U.S., "II Most Wanted" is not turning out to be the smash that some predicted it would have become. Yes, it launched in a lofty position on the Hot 100, but that was thanks to the celebrity power of both Cyrus and Beyoncé. Keeping it going is harder for them than earning a lofty beginning.

This week, "II Most Wanted" falls 37 spaces on the Hot 100. Ordinarily, that would be seen as a truly terrible sign of future performance, but this frame is different. More than 30 tracks–almost entirely from Taylor Swift’s new album–debut above "II Most Wanted," and that deluge is largely responsible for the backtracking.

But Swift is not entirely to blame for the downward spiral of "II Most Wanted." The track is also falling on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts. On the former, it slips outside the top 10 to No. 13, while on the latter, it dips 10 spaces to No. 23. Swift doesn’t appear on either of those rosters, so Cyrus and Beyoncé can’t blame her.

"II Most Wanted" is the current single from Cowboy Carter , taking over as "Texas Hold ‘Em" begins to fade. If this superstar collaboration can’t manage to become a sturdy smash, it’s possible that promotion of the album may slow, or perhaps even stop, prematurely.

Miley Cyrus Looks Like Miley Stewart All Grown Up With Nostalgic Brunette Hair Transformation

Miley cyrus went back to her roots with her new hannah montana character-inspired hair transformation..

Miley Cyrus ' new look will have you saying ‘sweet niblets.'

After all, the Hannah Montana alum appears to have gone back to her roots with her new all-brunette look, channeling her Disney alter ego Miley Stewart.

In photos taken April 25, Miley was seen walking with her mom, Tish Cyrus , and sporting her new hair styled in loose curls. The 31-year-old also donned a gray sweatshirt with cream pants and a black purse, along with black shoes and shades.

And while earlier in her post-Disney career, Miley would have avoided any comparisons to her iconic characters, she's more recently embraced all of her past eras. In fact, she even wrote a heartfelt note to Hannah Montana for the show's 15th anniversary in 2021.

"Although you are considered to be an 'alter-ego' in reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glove than I did in my bare hands," she wrote in a lengthy note posted to X in 2021. "We had an equal exchange in which you provided me with a superlative amount of fame in return to the anonymity I could gift to you."

Miley also looked back on her Hannah Montana   days while promoting her single "Used To Be Young" in August, where she detailed her often grueling work schedule during the era.

"5:30 a.m.," Miley exclaimed while reminiscing on the momento in a TikTok . "I'm probably 12 or 13. Friday, January 5. 5:30 a.m.—hair and makeup in my hotel. 7 a.m.—we get picked up. 7:15—I'm on the news. 7:45—I have another live interview. 8:15—another interview. 8:45—another interview."

"Then the next day starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.," she reads. "When I fly home, to probably go to Hannah —that's on a Saturday—and then Monday be back at work in the morning. I'm a lot of things, but lazy ain't one of them."

And while Miley's hair transformation will give fans a rush of nostalgia, she's not the only celebrity who has had a major hair transformation. Read on for a look at them all.

Calvin Harris

It looks like Calvin Harris is getting ready to drop a potential song of the summer — and if fans are correct, it might feature Miley Cyrus .

The DJ shared a 50-second video on social media Wednesday (May 1) featuring a snippet of an unreleased beach-themed track with lead vocals by someone who sounds a lot like the “Flowers” singer. “We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean,” the mystery artist sings over gentle acoustic guitar, which later morphs into a bright EDM beat. “When the crowd is all around me, you’re still all I see.”

Though the “One Kiss” hitmaker didn’t confirm whose voice is featured on the song, fans are already pretty certain it’s the “Wrecking Ball” musician. “Um EXCUSE ME IS THIS MILEY?!!! MILEY CYRUS?!!!” one person commented on the post on Instagram, while someone else wrote, “Miley vocals go crazy!!”

Harris last released in album in 2022, with Funk Wav Bounces, Vol. 2 debuting at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 that August. In 2023, Cyrus had the biggest hit of her career with “Flowers,” which spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the star her first two Grammys earlier this year. Assuming she’s locked in for a collaboration with Harris, she might just be headed for a repeat.
