Would watch the LDW/WJA story in drama form. A classic.
Sappy but come on, it's the last day of the year, it's all about sappy! I had a good time.
Aaaaaaand it's a wrap. Happy New Year!! I wish you all manage to watch 2O22 films this year... Or 20, or 202, or 22. I mean there is no right number, just have fun.

I was going to jump off the ledge today too. Repetitive work every day and no one to comfort me. Next year would be the same. I thought I rather just not see 2022. Then I ran into someone who thought like me. I was really happy on the phone with you.
trudged my way into 2022 with a heavy heart and it was exhausting trying to force myself to have a happy new year ahead but this film gave me so much comfort. it isn't special and revolves around 14 characters and their stories but even with the limited screentime each character gets, i feel for all of them. it's quite unrealistic in some…

“Why is it so hard to die, dammit!” - truck passes - ”Shit, I almost died…”
I don’t think this film necessarily had a defined message, but it’s a feel-good movie after all which is why I don’t think a strong message is important or needed here. The cast is great, the soundtrack and setting were really festive and fitting. Both bittersweet and heartwarming stories were present which I personally thought were comforting and greatly realistic. The length of it was quite unexpected, although considering that there are several stories built into just this one movie, the director managed to at least put out the base for each scenario. Overall a great christmas/new year’s eve film and my personal highlights in…

back in the aughts, i regularly read a blog (that will remain nameless because a) i tried to be friendly to him, but be just blew me off, and b) his site gave my office computer a virus once) that called kwak jae-yong “the john hughes of south korea”. curiosity got the best of me, and i bought a my sassy girl dvd from ebay (which was my go to source back in the day for hard to get films).
i loved my sassy girl so much (i mean, who doesn’t? ), that afterwards i bought two more kwak dvds from ebay. but alas, the moniker of “south korean john hughes” is a high standard (even if unfair) - i laughed maybe once with windstruck , and was…
