I tried everything and worked nearly for two days but the “Facebook Page Plugin” is not working continuously. It is working (only) on my safari (mac) but it is not working on for example safari on iPhone or chrome etc.

It would be great to get support for this one

What I have done so far:

I have already paste this to the functions.php in my child theme

add_action( ‘x_before_site_begin’, ‘x_print_fb_sdk’ );

function x_print_fb_sdk(){ ?> <div id=”fb-root”></div> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/de_DE/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.8&appId=1669264163354769”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script> <?php }

and this into the Raw Content element (LEFT SITE) in my site https://reiserocket.de/preise/

<div class=”fb-page” data-href=”https://www.facebook.com/reiserocket/” data-tabs=”timeline” data-small-header=”false” data-adapt-container-width=”true” data-hide-cover=”false” data-show-facepile=”true”></div>

on the RIGHT SITE I have add the IFRAME for testing purpose

<iframe src=”https://www.facebook.com/plugins/page.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freiserocket%2F&tabs=timeline&width=340&height=500&small_header=false&adapt_container_width=true&hide_cover=false&show_facepile=true&appId=1669264163354769″ width=”340″ height=”500″ style=”border:none;overflow:hidden” scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ allowTransparency=”true”></iframe>

As you can see in the 1. ATTACHMENT both is displayed with safari (mac)

But as you can see in the 2. ATTACHMENT there is nothing displayed in CHROME

I have tried here “the inkognito mode”, “empty browser Cache” “purge Cache etc. but nothing worked.

Latest WordPress, x-theme and cornerstone version.

Thx for you support! Kind Regards, Hüseyin

Hi Hüseyin,

There is a JS error when I checked the console which might be stopping the plugin to work. Kindly try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I have deactivated all third party plugin (including coaching etc.). The problem still remains in google Chrome.

To let you now, it never worked on google Chrome before.

Do you have any other ideas?

The JavaScript error is coming from a third party named easyXDM if you have that plugin please disable it.

And then to resolve your cross-origin issue, navigate to Customizer under the Layout and Design panel set any image as a Background Pattern , and then just remove it when the remove button appear. This is to remove the default background pattern that is with the demos.

Hope it helps, Cheers!

i have deactivated all plugins, just cornerstone ist online.

(And also removed the default background)

But the Facebook-Box is still not shown

I leave all plugins disabled for the moment.. Can you check again please. Thank you!

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site – WordPress Admin username / password

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Hello There,

We cannot do much when logged in. The user has a very limited privileges. If possible, please make the given user credentials as an Administrator so that we can check everything.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Rue Nel,

oh sorry, now have full excess!

Please use the iFrame version instead of SDK. If you want to use the SDK then you can use a plugin like this – https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-page-feed-graph-api/

Hi there, after the plugin was also not working, I have done some test with different Facebook sites. The result was that they were shown on my website. So I went to my Facebook settings and tried everything possible.. There were a few countries selected to hide Facebook from them. After deselecting this option my Facebookpage begann to work on my website 🙂

Thank you for your help – without you and all the advices this were not possible.

Kind Regards, Hüseyin

How can I center the raw content box?

There is a iframe in it:

Add class “center-text” but this don’t worked

Glad that you figured out the issue. I can help you to center that within the RAW Content. You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer .

Facebook opens but one post and one advertisement load and then the word "more" which I click on and just get the running three bars and nothing else loads. I also tried to open notifications but usually just get one post and then the three running bars or just the running bars.

How to Fix Facebook Widget Not Working on Your Site (Updated)

How to Fix Facebook Widget Not Working on Your Site

Is your Facebook widget not working correctly? You’ve come to the right place then.

Facebook widgets can help you engage your visitors, grow your social media following, and even convert people into customers.

But if your Facebook widgets aren’t working properly, they can actually damage your brand’s image.

In this post, we’re going to show you the easiest ways to get your Facebook widgets working once again.

Before that, let’s take a look at the different ways you can use Facebook widgets to grow your business.

Or, you can skip directly to our step-by-step guide on how to fix Facebook widgets here .

Why Add Facebook Widgets to Your Site

Based on our extensive research on social media marketing statistics for brands, Facebook is the biggest social media platform and a great place to reach tons of potential customers for your business.

And if you want to use Facebook marketing to grow your website, Facebook widgets can help you out.

To get started, you can use widgets to embed your own Facebook posts on your website . That way, you can turn your website traffic into Facebook likes, comments, and followers.

As a result, you can easily boost your brand’s presence on Facebook and reach even more customers.

facebook widget example

And that’s just the start! Here are a few more ways Facebook widgets can help your brand grow:

  • Get more Facebook followers by displaying your Facebook content on your site’s sidebar.
  • You can show a Facebook review widget with positive reviews on your website and convert more visitors into paying customers.
  • Facebook widgets can also help you promote your group and grow a community of dedicated customers.
  • To get people involved in your events, you can simply show a Facebook events widget on your site.
  • You can display photos, videos, and albums on your website using Facebook widgets and make your site more engaging.

As you can see, Facebook widgets can help you grow your Facebook following, engage your visitors, and get more sales as well.

But if your widgets aren’t working, it can actually create a worse impression of your site. And that means you lose out on potential customers.

To help you out, we’ll show you our proven ways to fix Facebook widgets if they’re not working properly.

How to Fix Facebook Widgets Not Working on Your Website

If your Facebook widgets are not working on your website, all you have to do is follow the steps below.

Since these are all super easy to do, you can get started and fix your Facebook widgets right away.

1. Contact the Support Team

For the simplest way to fix your Facebook widgets, you can try contacting the support team of your Facebook plugin.

That way, you can get WordPress experts who made the plugin to solve the issue for you.

But if you’re manually embedding the Facebook widget, you can’t turn to a support team for help. In fact, some WordPress plugins don’t offer dedicated customer support, so you might not get a response in time.

The solution? You can use a plugin with high-quality dedicated support, like Facebook Feed Pro .

custom facebook feed pro plugin

As the best Facebook feed plugin in the market, you can use Facebook Feed Pro to create, customize, and display Facebook widgets on your website with ease – no coding needed!

You can use the plugin to display Facebook page widgets, event calendars , photo galleries, Facebook reviews, and much more!

All this is supported by a dedicated support team who are always ready to lend you a hand. If your Facebook widget isn’t working properly, you can just ask them for help, and they’ll solve the problem for you.

In fact, you can simply check the user reviews for the plugin to see how happy people are with the quality of customer support.

As you can see, Facebook Feed Pro also has a rating of 4.9/5 from over 250,000 active users, making it the #1 plugin for anyone who wants to embed Facebook content.

In fact, some of the world’s largest brands use Smash Balloon social feed plugins to display social media widgets on their websites .

As you can see, Facebook Feed Pro can be a trusted solution if you want to display Facebook posts on your website.

2. Check if Facebook is Down

If your Facebook widget is not working properly, you can quickly check if Facebook itself is temporarily down.

Most Facebook widgets can’t show content on your website if Facebook is offline. When that happens, you can wait until Facebook is online again, and your widgets will start working again.

Sadly, that means you might lose customers when your Facebook widget is offline.

The good news? You can simply switch to Facebook Feed Pro , and your widgets will be online even when Facebook is temporarily down.

Facebook Feed Pro uses smart caching technology, which saves a copy of your Facebook widgets.

smart cache smash balloon feature

And when Facebook is temporarily offline, the plugin will show a cached copy of your widgets. As a result, all your Facebook widgets will work just like before.

As a bonus, your Facebook widgets don’t need to download data from Facebook each time they load. As a result, your widgets and WordPress pages will be much faster.

Plus, a faster website means you get much better SEO as well.

3. Enable Facebook oEmbeds

If Facebook content isn’t visible on your website, you can try enabling oEmbeds .

In the past, you could automatically embed Facebook content on WordPress websites with the help of the oEmbeds feature.

Unfortunately, WordPress stopped supporting this feature starting October 24th, 2020, which made it a lot harder for widgets to show Facebook content.

To solve this issue, you can simply turn on the oEmbeds feature for your website. You can do this in a few clicks with the help of Facebook Feed Pro.

Just open the  Facebook Feed » oEmbeds  menu from your WordPress dashboard and then click on Enable .

enable facebook oembeds easy

After that, you can automatically show Facebook posts on your website and engage your visitors.

For more information, take a look at this guide on how to solve Facebook oEmbeds issue .

4. Update Your WordPress Website

WordPress is regularly getting new updates that fix bugs and add features to your website.

Since these features are optimized for the newest versions of WordPress, they might not work for the older versions. And if your Facebook widgets rely on these features, they can stop working as well.

What’s more, 44% of hacking attacks are targeted at websites with outdated WordPress versions.

An easy solution here is to simply update the WordPress version of your website. To get started, just click on the Please update now button at the top of your dashboard.

update your wordpress website

After that update is over, open your website once again and check if your Facebook widgets are working.

To learn more, you can check out this detailed guide on how to update WordPress safely .

5. Update Your Facebook Plugin

Like with WordPress itself, the plugins on your website also get regular updates.

And if you’re using an outdated plugin to show Facebook widgets, they can simply stop working.

To show Facebook content on your website, your widgets have to connect to a special gateway known as Facebook API .

Since Facebook regularly changes how this API works, the Facebook plugins also have to update to keep up with these changes.

As a result, an outdated plugin can stop connecting with Facebook’s API, which means your Facebook widgets will not work.

To solve this issue, you can navigate to the Plugins menu from your dashboard to see a list of WordPress plugins on your website.

There, click on the Update now button, and WordPress will automatically update the plugin to the latest version.

update your wordpress plugin

If you want your plugins to automatically be up-to-date, you can click on the Enable auto-updates button on the right.

enable auto updates for wordpress plugins

WordPress will then automatically update this plugin, so your Facebook widgets will keep working.

6. Update Your Facebook Access Token

Your Facebook widget uses a special access token to show content from Facebook on your website.

If this Facebook access token is outdated, your widgets can’t display content on your website at all. To solve this issue, you can try updating your Facebook access token.

To get this access token manually, you’ll have to register with Facebook as a developer and create an app of your own. As a result, the whole process can be time-consuming.

For an easier way, you can use the Facebook Feed Pro plugin, which will automatically fetch the Facebook access token for you.

add source for facebook

In just a few clicks, you can update your Facebook access token and get your Facebook widgets up and running.

And that’s it!

As you can see, the easiest way to fix your Facebook widgets when they’re not working is to contact the support team.

Since it’s the best Facebook feed plugin in the market, Facebook Feed Pro comes with a team of WordPress experts who are always ready to help you out.

Want to create engaging Facebook widgets? Get Facebook Feed Pro for your website today !

If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac

If Safari doesn't load a webpage, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or otherwise doesn't work as expected, these solutions might help.

These solutions are for issues that can affect Safari on Mac, including issues such as these:

A webpage is blank, doesn't load all of its content, or otherwise doesn't work as expected.

You can't sign in to a webpage, despite using the correct sign-in information.

A webpage asks you to remove or reset cookies.

Safari slows down, stops responding, or quits unexpectedly.

Reload the page

From the menu bar in Safari, choose View > Reload Page. Or press Command-R.

If Safari doesn't reload the page, quit Safari, then try again. If Safari doesn't quit, you can press Option-Command-Esc to force Safari to quit .

If Safari automatically reopens unwanted pages, quit Safari, then press and hold the Shift key while opening Safari. Learn how to control which windows Safari automatically reopens .

Install software updates and restart

Update macOS , which can include updates for Safari. If your Mac didn't restart automatically, choose Apple menu  > Restart. Some important background updates take effect only after restarting.

Check Safari extensions

If you installed any Safari extensions, turn extensions off. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Click Extensions, then deselect each extension to turn it off. Learn more about Safari extensions .

If you find that an extension is causing the issue, make sure that the extension is up to date.

Test with a private window

A website can store cookies, caches, and other data on your Mac, and issues with that data can affect your use of the website. To prevent the website from using that data, view it in a private window: From the menu bar in Safari, choose File > New Private Window, or press Shift-Command-N.

If that works, use the following steps to remove the website's data, including its caches and cookies. The website can then create new data as needed. If it's a website that you sign in to, make sure that you know your sign-in information before continuing.

Choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences), then click Privacy.

Click Manage Website Data.

Select the affected website from the list shown.

Click Remove.

Click Done.

Open the website again in a non-private browser window.

Check Safari settings

The webpage might not be compatible with one or more browser settings, which you can turn on or off as needed. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Then click Websites, Privacy, or Security to access these settings:

Privacy settings . These settings apply to all websites. For example, a website might require that you allow cross-site tracking, show your IP address, or allow cookies.

Security settings . These settings apply to all websites. For example, a website might require that you enable JavaScript.

Websites settings . These settings can be configured for specific websites. For example, a website might require that you allow pop-up windows, allow downloads, allow access to your camera or microphone, or turn off content blockers.

Check iCloud Private Relay

If you subscribe to iCloud+ and are using its Private Relay feature, try reloading the page without Private Relay: From the menu bar in Safari, choose View > Reload and Show IP Address. This menu item appears only when Private Relay is turned on for your network. Learn more about iCloud Private Relay .

Check VPN or other security software

If you installed VPN or other software that monitors or interacts with your network connections, that software could affect your use of the website or the internet. Learn about network issues related to VPN and other software .

Check network settings

Certain network settings, such as custom proxy settings or custom DNS settings , can affect access to content on the internet. Even if you haven't changed these or other network settings yourself, you might have installed software that changed them for you.

To find out whether the issue is with the network settings on your Mac, try viewing the page from a different web browser or different device on the same network. Or reset your network settings by setting up a new network location on your Mac.

If the issue affects other devices and web browsers on the same network, the issue is probably with the website, and you should contact the website developer for help.

If the issue continues to affect only a particular webpage, contact the website developer for help.

But what if Facebook fails to load in Safari on iPhone, iPad, or Mac?

6. Check Facebook Status

When Facebook servers face an outage, the website won’t load in Safari, Chrome, and mobile apps. You can visit Downdetector to check the status of Facebook service. If you see a high outage graph and recent comments from others facing the same, it confirms that Facebook is experiencing some server-side problems. You’ll need to wait for Facebook to fix issues from their end and try again.

7. Disable Private Relay and VPN Connection

Private Relay is a privacy add-on for iCloud+ and Apple One subscribers. It shields your location and browsing history from the websites and local ISP. Private Relay reroutes your web traffic from another server to keep your data secure. If the service faces an outage, you may see a ‘ Private Relay is Unavailable ’ alert.

In that case, Safari may fail to load Facebook and other websites on iPhone and Mac. You should disable Private Relay using the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Settings app to select your account name at the top and choose iCloud.
