What we’re about
Founded in the early 1980s, Columbia Ski Club (CSC) started as a group of adult ski enthusiasts who wanted to come together to enjoy meeting new friends and participating together in the great sport of skiing. Over the years, we have evolved into a group of nearly 500 members who enjoy all types of sporting, travel, social, and civic activities. We are a fun loving group made up of Singles, Married Couples and Families who welcome the opportunity to embrace new friends and members! Our Monthly General Meetings and Activities are open to any interested party wanting to find out more about CSC or just make some new friends! The club puts together between 9 to 11 North American and 1 to 2 European Ski weeks each season, plus several non-ski trips throughout the year. Come out and join us for our next event! Vail Skiing and Snowboarding
A huge 5289 acres of terrain is available at Vail, with something for everyone. Even absolute beginners are well catered for at Gopher Hill and at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola. The area really comes into its own, however, for intermediates upwards, especially if you follow the corduroy by picking up the day’s grooming map each morning. Our favorite runs lie in Game Creek Bowl, around the Northwoods Express and over the back of the mountain down to the Orient Express.
Vail’s ski area comes alive on a powder day, especially when a Rocky Mountain snowstorm loads the Back Bowls with fresh snow – just be sure to get there as early as possible to score fresh tracks. Blue Sky Basin is one vast playground filled with tree runs and gladed terrain, some of which is seriously steep; and it is here where you’ll find the best powder stashes long after fresh snowfall.
- Skiable acres: 5289 acres
- Beginner: 18%
- Intermediate: 57%
- Advanced: 29%

About Snowbasin: Established in 1940, Snowbasin is one of the oldest continually operating ski areas in North America. Snowbasin underwent a world-class transformation as the host of the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Games downhill events, adding expanded terrain with the most advanced lift system in Utah. Top rated by Ski Magazine in the categories of service, on-mountain food, lifts and grooming, Snowbasin is an easy drive from Ogden. With 3,000 skiable acres and 3,000 vertical feet, this resort is best known for uncrowded slopes, wide-open bowls, manicured groomers, glades, powder stashes, steep chutes and stunning views.
Powder Mountain: With over 8, 464 acres of skiable terrain, Powder Mountain is one of the largest North American ski resorts. A maximum 1500-day tickets available ensures you can enjoy uncrowded skiing. This is the place if you want endless powder or untouched corduroy. There’s almost 3,000 acres of lift served terrain, and the remaining 4,000 acres is accessed by snow cat. Powder Mountain’s summit elevation of 9,422 feet delivers 2,205 feet of lift served vertical and averages over 500 inches of snow annually, 167 ski trails, 9 lifts and two terrain parks.
Lodging: Courtyard Marriott-Ogden in QQ or King Rooms based on 2 per room. Includes baggage handling and daily breakfast.
We will be staying at the Courtyard by Marriott, located just a few steps away from historic 25 th Street, in queen/queen or king rooms with a full daily breakfast. Our private shuttle will arrive each morning to transfer us to our ski destination and to return us each afternoon. This resort is also on the public bus route to our ski destinations.
Historic 25 th Street : One street over from our lodging is historic 25 th Street. During the early 20th century, 25th Street was a center of activity in Ogden. Home to retail shops , restaurants , ice cream parlors , hotels , and laundries , the street was also a common site for illicit activities such as gambling , prostitution and narcotic sales . Al Capone is rumored to have said that Ogden was too wild a town for him!
Historic 25 th Street today : features restaurants, bistros, art galleries, retail shops, and hosts outdoor community events. The rebuilt Union Rail Station houses the Utah State Railroad Museums, the John M. Browning Arms Museum, and the Browning-Kimball Classic Car Museum. The street has become a tourist attraction for Ogden visitors wanting to explore the history of the western United States.

About Telluride:
Ranked #2 ski resort in the U.S. by snowpak.com . Nestled at the end of a box canyon in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, Telluride sits against the most beautiful backdrops imaginable. Surrounded by the greatest concentration of 14,000 foot peaks in North America, this charming and authentic town is far removed from the hectic pace of everyday life. The eight-block historic district is lined with colorful Victorian homes, elegant restaurants and boutiques, fine art galleries and plenty of Old West saloons. A 13-minute gondola ride links the town to the European inspired Mountain Village, with its unsurpassable scenic ambience and ski-in/ski-out lodging. While the mountain is known for its challenging terrain, 36% of the 2,000+ acres is rated intermediate and 23% beginner. There are 148 trails, plenty of corduroy cruisers, meandering green and blue runs (longest run 4.6 miles, Galloping Goose), moderate bumps, along with the steep and deep, for those in the pack that like to run wild!
Lodging: Bear Creek Lodge in 2b/2b units based on 4 per room. Includes Wine/Cheese Welcome Reception.. We will be staying in condos at the Bear Creek Lodge, beautifully situated adjacent to Telluride. Use of the lower Village Bypass run and a semi-private lift provides access to the slopes within minutes. These condos all include a gas fireplace, newly remodeled kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Bear Creek Lodge also offers a free shuttle to the shops and restaurants in the Mountain Village, as well as wireless internet, a fitness center , indoor and outdoor hot tubs, outdoor heated pool and sauna, and the free gondola will take you to historic Telluride.
