The 'Love Story' singer will be joined by Ed Sheeran for the North American leg of the outing.

Taylor Swift has confirmed details of a new world tour, which will kick off in North America in March 2013.

The 'Begin Again' signer admitted she is so "excited" to head back out on the road as she plots 58 US dates across 29 states next year.

"I didn't think I could be any more excited about my 'Red'   album, but then I start thinking about how I'm going to put the new show together for The Red Tour," she said in a statement. "I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can't wait to share the new show with all my fans!"

The jaunt will kick off on 13 th March in Omaha, Nebraska and travel to the likes of Miami, Washington and finish in the home of country – Nashville on 21 st September.

The outing will also see her supported by British star Ed Sheeran, who she recently teamed up with for 'Red' album track 'Everything Has Changed'.

Taylor Swift Announces 2013 Red Tour

The road is going to be Red! Taylor Swift closed her big 'Red' release week media blitz out by dropping a bombshell announcement -- one we suspected was coming -- on ABC after her Katie Couric interview. No, it's not the identity of the ex-beau she sings about in 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' -- Swift's 2013 Red Tour kicks off on March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska!

"So I have some big news. My new album is finally out. I am beyond excited to tell you [that] I am going back out on tour next year," Swift said during the '20/20 All Access Nashville' special.

As of now, there are 58 shows slated for 45 cities in 29 states, with 9 shows taking place at stadiums, including the famed Cowboy's Stadium in Dallas, Detroit’s Ford Field, Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field and Gillette Stadium, among others. But, expect more to follow.

The 2013 Red Tour trek kicks off on March 13, which Swift sweetly reminded us is her lucky number. She will be on the road through September of 2013, and some of the tickets for the run will be on sale as of Nov. 16.

Her lucky special guest is her collaborator Ed Sheeran , the redheaded British singer-songwriter who duets with her on the 'Red' track 'Everything Has Changed.'

Swift set the bar incredibly high on her Speak Now Tour. She wrote lyrics on her arms in black Sharpie marker, which had fans seeking out their hidden meanings. She covered regional artists in the markets in which she performed, and she even invited a bevy of guests to share the stage with her. It was one of the best-selling tours of the year.

What will Swift do to top it with her Red Tour? She has her work cut out for her, but we look forward to watching her rise to the occasion.

«The visuals portrayed on this tour will be, I guess, more grown-up and a little bit more mature than things we’ve done in the past. I think on my previous albums and my previous tours, I’ve really liked to operate in the element of fantasy, and I think that this tour incorporates a little bit more reality into the visuals, which is nice.» Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift ‘Red’ Tour 2013

Austin’s  Frank Erwin Center  turned ‘Red’ on May 21, 2013 as the colossal neon lights rose above the crowd and  Taylor Swift  arrived on stage opening her set with ‘State Of Grace.’  She was accompanied with a seven-piece band, fourteen backup dancers and plenty of fireworks to energize her adoring audience.  Seven months of planning and rehearsals went into readying for the ‘Red’ Tour and both set and costumes are outstanding.  There were a total of 11 wardrobe changes and one can’t help but compare this concert to a full theater production.   Swift , famous for her ‘heart on my sleeve’ narrative songs about autobiographical details relating to life and love, made it clear that she would continue to express her feelings through song and music.

In order to connect with those in the higher tiers of the massive  Frank Erwin Center ,  Swift  performed four songs on the far end of the venue on a rising and rotating platform with only her red guitar and stool.  It was during that acoustic set that  Swift  paused to acknowledge and ask the sold out crowd to pray for all of those affected by the Oklahoma tornado that caused devastation on Monday, May 20, 2013.   Following her plea, she performed a soulful rendition of ‘Safe and Sound.’

Without the need to offer an encore,  Taylor Swift  performed for exactly two hours and her grand finale came when she became ringmaster of this circus-sized production of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. ‘  Then, as magically as she appeared, Swift disappeared form the center stage bidding farewell to Austin and heading to San Antonio.

It’s no surprise that one of the hottest tours of 2013 is  Taylor Swift ‘s ‘Red’ Tour.  On May 19, 2013 Billboard Music Awards,  Taylor Swift  and her 3.7 million-selling “Red” dominated by taking home eight trophies.    Swift  was honored as Top Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 artist in ceremonies held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.   Swift  received the night’s top honor, Artist of the Year, as well as Top Billboard 20 Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Country Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist. “Red” was Tops in the Billboard 200 and country albums categories; her ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ was named Top Country Song.

Two acts preceded  Taylor Swift  in Austin, first was hot country duo  Florida Georgia Line .  Brantley Gilbert and Jake Owen ramped up the audience by singing ‘Cruise and their new single ‘Get Your Shine On’ where  Swift  fans sang along to every line.  British singer/songwriter,  Ed Sheeran  was the evening’s main supporting act and lit up the Austin stage with his magnificent one-man show.  After a six-song set, which included hits ‘Lego House,’ and ‘The A Team’,  Ed Sheeran  has doubtlessly won over a myriad of new Austinite admirers with his dynamic performance.  ,  Ed Sheeran  is no stranger to Austin as he performed to a sold out  Stubb’s  back on January 19, 2013.

Taylor Swift’s presence felt at Travis Kelce’s epic ‘New Heights’ live show

T ravis Kelce’s first arena show for his “New Heights” podcast with big brother Jason Kelce featured friendship bracelets and plenty of dancing — all inspired by his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift.

The All-Pro Chiefs tight end, 34, made sure to pay tribute to the 14-time Grammy winner during Thursday’s live podcast taping at Fifth Third Arena, home of the Cincinnati Bearcats, whom Jason and Travis played for in college.

Travis wore a trio of friendship bracelets on his right wrist — a staple accessory at Swift’s concerts on her Eras Tour, which is currently on hiatus until May — while accepting his college diploma in a surprise commencement ceremony put on by the University of Cincinnati.

The three-time Super Bowl champ chugged a beer on the stage after the University of Cincinnati’s president, Dr. Neville Pinto, handed him his diploma.

Travis completed his remaining college credit hours in 2022 and graduated, but did not take part in a ceremony, according to Front Office Sports.

Another Swift, 34, reference came during the first-ever Great “Lombaby” Games — a nod to the Vince Lombardi Trophy — in which 10 Bearcat athletes faced off against 10 fellow students in a series of Olympics-style challenges as the Kelce brothers refereed and commentated.

Travis was seen dancing to Swift’s 2014 hit song, “Shake It Off” in the midst of the competition.

“That’s one of my favorites,” he was heard telling the crowd  in a TikTok video  posted from the show.

Swift was not in attendance at the live event, although she’s currently on a break from touring.

The University of Cincinnati also informed the public not to count on Swift being a part of the surprise guests at the show — which included Cardinals quarterback and Cincinnati legend Desmond Ridder.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Travis’ former Chiefs teammate, Orlando Brown Jr., were special guests.

Travis and Jason’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, sat front and center with the former Eagles center’s wife, Kylie Kelce.

Donna also brought her sons a bunch of balloons from Party City before the show, as seen in a photo posted by the “New Heights” account on X.

Jason, 36, and Travis will donate a portion of gross ticket sales from the event to Cincy Reigns, the official NIL collective of Cincinnati Athletics.

Jason, who announced his NFL retirement last month after spending his entire 13-season career with the Eagles, attended Cincinnati from 2006-10 before he was picked in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by Philadelphia.

Travis attended UC from 2008-12 before Kansas City selected him in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft.

The brothers’ “New Heights” podcast won Podcast of the Year at the 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards in March.

How Taylor Swift became a billionaire: Hit music, record-breaking tours, luxury real estate and more

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Taylor Swift was officially named a billionaire by Forbes in April 2024 — less than two decades after she made her 2006 music industry debut.

The global pop star had a record-breaking 2023, including boosting the economy with her Eras Tour and being crowned Time’s Person of the Year , but she has been making many smart business moves for many years in order to secure her fortune.

Here’s a look at everything Swift has done to garner a $1.1 billion net worth by the age of 34.

Music catalog – $400 million

Ahead of Scooter Braun selling Swift’s masters for more than $300 million in a controversial deal , the Grammy winner announced plans to re-record her first five albums .

Swift — who signed with Universal Music Group in 2018 after kicking off her career under Big Machine Records — has since released new “Taylor’s Version” albums for “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red” and “1989.” She is rumored to be dropping the re-recorded version of “Reputation” sometime in 2024.

Aside from her old records, however, Swift has also seen major success with her new albums —Lover (2019), Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020) and Midnights (2022) — under Universal Music Group.

The hard-working pop star recently shocked fans in February when she announced she is releasing another album — “The Tortured Poets Department” — on April 19, 2024.

As of 2019, Swift has earned $400 million from her music catalog alone, Bloomberg reports .

Streaming deals – $160 million

Swift reportedly made close to $130 million from her streams on Spotify alone in 2023.

Per Variety , she accumulated a total of about 26.1 billion streams last year, and based on an average of $0.0035 cents per listen, she would have earned the whopping total sum by that December.

However, it is likely that amount is even larger because — as Billboard previously pointed out — there are other streaming services such as Apple Music, YouTube Music and Amazon Music, pushing that total closer to an estimated $160 million.

Record sales – $80 million

Swift has reportedly made $80 million from her music royalties, according to Bloomberg.

Royalties are accrued when copyrighted music is used in other licensing deals, such as movies and commercials, and therefore a compensatory payment is made to the rights holders such as songwriters, composers and recording artists.

Her songs have been featured in shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” and movies including “Fifty Shades Darker” and “The Hunger Games,” as well as various commercials and campaigns.

Tours – $370 million

Swift’s Eras Tour became the highest grossing tour by any musician of all time, earning more than $1 billion, according to Rolling Stone .

The outlet reported in December 2023 that Swift sold about 4.3 million tickets at an average price of $238.

Bloomberg estimated in October 2023 that the “Wildest Dreams” singer grossed more than $700 million in ticket sales and $225 million in just tour merchandise, making her $370 million in profit after taxes.

Callie Cox, a financial analyst for investment company eToro, told The Post Swift’s Eras Tour show stops have boosted the local economies of each city .

“Every weekend, the city that she visits releases the data around hotel occupancies and just the amount of money generated for each local economy — and it’s in the millions,” Cox said in June 2023.

Real estate – $150 million

Swift’s impressive real estate portfolio has undoubtedly contributed to her overall wealth.

The “Blank Space” singer owns five homes across the US, totaling approximately $150 million.

According to the Wall Street Journal , Swift’s first investment was a 3,240-square-foot penthouse on Nashville’s Music Row at the Adelicia condominium for $1.9 million, which she bought at age 19.

Per property records, she bought a roughly 1,000-square-foot, one-bedroom unit on the floor below for $387,000 through a trust.

The colorful home is featured in her “Miss Americana” documentary, and real estate experts estimate the home would now cost around $8 million.

In 2011, Swift then bought a larger property in Nashville — a roughly 7,700-square-foot home on about 6 acres known as the Northumberland Estate — for which she paid $2.5 million.

The “Cruel Summer” songstress then set her eyes on an East Coast estate in 2012, when she bought a seven-bedroom house in Hyannis Port, Mass., for $4.8 million. She eventually sold the picturesque property a year later for $5.675 million.

Swift was busy making real estate moves in 2013, because that year she also bought a home in Rhode Island for $17.75 million . The seaside Colonial mansion boasts eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and sits on about 5.23 acres with roughly 700 feet of a sandy shoreline.

Real estate experts estimate the Westerly, RI, property to be worth $30 million in present day.

Despite all of those lavish homes, the “Welcome to New York” singer spends most of her time in the Big Apple, where she owns multiple properties.

In 2014, Swift purchased two penthouses in Tribeca for $19.95 million in the iconic Sugar Loaf building, which combined created a roughly 8,000-square-foot duplex.

Three years later, she bought a three-story townhouse adjacent to her penthouses for $9.75 million and turned them into her personal parking garage.

“She wanted to be able to go from the garage to her apartment without exiting the building,” realtor Andrew Azoulay previously said, per the Wall Street Journal. “It’s probably the most expensive garage there is.”

Swift’s total Tribeca real estate portfolio is reportedly now worth $45 million.

The superstar has gone through a few different stints of ownership on the West Coast, as well, but she has since sold most of them.

In 2011, Swift bought a four-bedroom house in Beverly Hills, Calif., for $3.55 million, and then sold it for $4 million in 2018.

In 2012, the “Cruel Summer” singer paid $1.775 million for another four-bedroom house in Beverly Hills that she also made a profit off of in 2018 for $2.65 million.

Aerial shot of homes in California.

Swift seemingly planted her California roots, though, in an 11,000-square-foot house dubbed the Goldwyn estate, which she purchased in 2018 for $25 million.

The beautiful property — with only three other houses on the same street — offers a very private abode which she and boyfriend Travis Kelce retreat to when they’re on the West Coast .

It was built by iconic Hollywood producer Samuel Goldwyn, and Swift petitioned to have the home declared a landmark in 2017. The request was granted that same year.

Endorsement deals

With 283 million followers on Instagram and a loyal fandom dubbed “Swifties,” the power of Swift’s influence is almost immeasurable, which is why many companies pine to involve her in sponsorship deals.

The “Shake It Off” singer has had lucrative endorsement deals over the years with CoverGirl, Keds, AT&T, Target and Sony Electronics.

Although the exact financial details of those deals is unknown, it’s been widely reported that Swift scored a massive $26 million for her long-term partnership with Coca-Cola.

Taylor Swift.

Family wealth

Many consider Swift to be self-made because of her massive career success, but she had a financial cushion with her family given her upper-middle class upbringing.

Her dad, Scott Swift, who worked as a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch, and mom Andrea Swift, who worked as a marketing manager at an advertising agency, reportedly have a net worth of at least $10 million .

Taylor Swift at Coachella? These are the 3 sets where our experts think she could appear

Taylor Swift on stage

• Show more sharing options

Taylor Swift’s name isn’t on the lineup poster of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival , but that doesn’t mean pop’s biggest superstar won’t make an appearance in Indio this month.

Not to go all Taylor Swift conspiracy theorist on you, but there are some signs — and celeb gossip reports — that point to Swift spending some time in the desert.

First, she’s on a break from her Eras tour , which recently wrapped its run in Asia and Australia. There’s no reason to figure out if she can be there in time, like people did when Swift flew from Japan to see boyfriend Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl — her entire month is free before she heads to Europe in May.

Second, her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” drops on April 19, which is the first day of Coachella’s second weekend. It’s not unprecedented to see an artist roll up to the fest with brand-new material. Kendrick Lamar dropped “Damn.” two days before his first Coachella headlining stint in 2017.

Now, she could just be taking the month of April off to do promotion for the new album, but the most compelling reason of all that we might see Swift in Indio? Her friends are going to be there.

Our team of Coachella experts has compiled some likely spots for a Swift surprise at the festival.

Lana Del Rey on stage

Lana Del Rey

True power is having a fanbase that can convince Taylor Swift to take a backseat on her own song. “Snow on the Beach” was a dreamy highlight of Swift’s “Midnights,” which featured her pal Lana del Rey’s spare but velvety harmonies . Yet Lana’s fans would not accept such a slight role for her, and successfully petitioned for a new edit where Del Rey gets a much more substantial role — and they were right, it’s the superior version. Lana’s set will be a pinnacle of a career steeped in L.A. mythology, so can Del Rey convince Swift, the most famous artist in the world, to drop by for brief harmony cameo on the Coachella main stage? Weird, but f— beautiful. — AB

Jack Antonoff’s rock band Bleachers plays the Mojave Tent on Saturday evening, but as the producer to the stars, including Swift and Del Rey, there’s potential for a Swift sighting, if not a guest spot. Antonoff has worked on a string of Swift’s albums and he’s the producer of the forthcoming “The Tortured Poets Department.” And after Swift’s “Midnights” dropped, the hit “Anti-Hero” got a Bleachers remix, which, if re-created, would make for a pretty epic Coachella moment. — VF

Blond woman on red carpet

Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter toiled for years in the Disney-pop salt mines before breaking out in 2022 with the comparatively frisky “Emails I Can’t Send.” That album’s best track, “Nonsense,” went viral on TikTok thanks to Carpenter’s onstage habit of changing the lyrics of the song’s outro to suit whatever city she’s in: “Old people think I’m Hannah Montana / He’s so big I need an extra hand-a / Make some noise for sweet home Alabama,” she sang, pricelessly, at that state’s Hangout Fest last year. The singer kept at it as one of Swift’s opening acts on the Eras tour, and just last month she joined a fellow Eras alum, Norway’s Girl in Red, for a bumptious duet with the very Taylor-rific title of “You Need Me Now?” Perhaps Swift will reward Carpenter’s loyalty with a surprise Coachella cameo. — MW

Ticketmaster has announced a huge U-turn for fans attending Taylor Swift ’s UK Eras Tour dates.

The 34-year-old singer will be performing in London, Liverpool, Cardiff, and Edinburgh as part of the UK leg of her record-breaking tour in June, before returning to London in August.

Originally, the Eras Tour was a “lead booker” event, meaning the cardholder who purchased the ticket had to attend. This left many people who had bought tickets as gifts concerned that they would not be able to attend the concert.

On Wednesday, the company sent emails to ticket holders confirming the policy was no longer in place.

Ticketmaster said: “The ‘lead booker’ policy has been removed, meaning that the person whose name is on the Ticketmaster account used to purchase tickets is no longer required to attend the event.”

“All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. We hope you enjoy the show!”

The Eras Tour, which opened on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, has become the first tour to surpass $1bn in revenue , making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.

Demand for tickets was unprecedented, with the global sensation adding two extra London shows back in November.

The singer, who was named Time Person of the Year 2023, has also released an accompanying concert film, which was met with critical acclaim - and was recently declared a billionaire by Forbes.

The show, which spans three-and-a-half hours and covers all of her “musical eras”, sold out within minutes on Ticketmaster and AXS in the UK. Nearly 40,000 people joined the online queue during the presale for the megastars London and Edinburgh shows back in July.

Tickets have been spotted on resale sites for as much as £3,352, with the original sale price for a front-row standing ticket coming in at £172.25.

The pop star is set to release her highly anticipated eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19.
