Does anyone know what "polar online" is? I got a message from my TA which was from Princess and our names are on the list. When I googled it, it says its a booking site. Really? What is its purpose? I haven't had any problems booking through my TA. If anyone knows what it is and whether I should be thrilled to find our names on the list, please let me know. Thanks. :D

POLAR is the booking system used by Princess and other lines. You don’t need to know about it as it’s just software.
When you say your names are "on the list" do you mean there were other passengers names (clients of your TA) on the email as well? Looks like your TA forwarded an internal memo to them from Princess intact to their entire client list rather than just the relevant part of the body of the message to the relevant clients . Pretty lazy on their part.

On Board Credit & Category Fares
The Best Buy FIT pricing now calculates the best fare net of Onboard Credits (OBC) if the best buy is a promo with an Onboard Credit (OBC)
Here is how it works...
The system subtracts the OBCs from the eligible fares, and then displays the promotion which has the lowest net sum. For example; consider promotion FFM at $1550 which is eligible for a $50 OBC, and promotion LB1 at $1530 without an OBC. The $1,500 net cost of FFM is less than the $1530 net cost of LB1. Therefore, on the Category Fares screen, POLAR Online will quote FFM at $1550 with an asterisk as the "Best Buy". On the Pricing Summary screen, POLAR Online will provide the full fare information to include the actual On Board Credit amount.
