MOGWAI Japan Tour 2025

MOGWAI Japan Tour 2025

The legendary post-rock band Mogwai is set to embark on their first Japan tour in seven years! Formed in 1995 by Stuart (G), Dominic (B), Martin (Dr), and Barry (Vo, G, Key), Mogwai has become a highly influential band in the post-rock world, with nine acclaimed albums and numerous legendary live performances since their debut in 1997. With each album, Mogwai continues to evolve, constantly presenting new approaches to rock music. Their latest work, Every Country’s Sun, marks a shift from their previous releases—2014's Rave Tapes, which prominently featured analog synthesizers, and the ambient soundtrack Atomic (2016). For this album, they reunited with producer Dave Fridmann for the first time in 16 years since their classic Rock Action (2001), resulting in a hardcore sound with their signature loud, explosive guitar work. This album, which can be said to have established a new standard for the Mogwai sound, reached No. 6 on the UK charts, their highest position to date. In 2022, they returned to the Fuji Rock Festival after 11 years, headlining the Red Marquee stage. With anticipation building for their next release, they have finally dropped new music and announced their first Japan tour in seven years! Official Website
