Online Virtual Tour of Stowe House

Virtual tour, welcome to the virtual tour of stowe house.

We encourage you to explore this magnificent mansion, one of the finest pieces 18th-century neo-classical architecture.

Stowe house was built in the 1700s by the Temple-Grenville’s – an extraordinary family who came to Stowe as sheep farmers and rose to become one of the wealthiest & most powerful families in the country. Eventually they would become the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos.

The family spent vast sums of money shaping Stowe into the most famous showplace in England and entertaining on a Grand scale; but eventually they fell from power and squandered what was left of that fortune through greed, arrogance and scandalous behaviour! The wonderful treasures that once filled Stowe are gone, sold off across the world to pay the debts.

Thankfully Stowe House was saved from demolition by the creation of Stowe School in 1923 and is now in the care of the Stowe House Preservation Trust – an independent charity that raises the funds to fully restore the State Rooms and open them to the public.

The Virtual tour contains information about the history of the house and it’s owners, as well as, information about the more recent and vast restoration work it has undergone.

Virtual Tour Information:

  • The Virtual Tour can be viewed on a computer, tablet, iPad or phone.
  • Click or tap on the circles on the floor to move around the rooms.
  • Green point markers = Room Introductions
  • Blue Markers = Information point about specific room and restoration features
  • Red Markers = Family Activity
  • Click on the text/pictures to make them bigger.

Many thanks to all our restoration partners and funders who have enabled and continue to enable us to restore and preserve Stowe House for future generations.

Preparations Begin On The Stands That Will Hold Members Of The Press During The Royal Wedding

Tired of being cooped up at home? Perhaps you'd like to imagine life someplace a bit bigger, a bit grander, and a bit more, well, royal? You're in luck, because many of the British royal family's palaces and castles now offer extensive virtual tours. Whether you want to traipse around Buckingham Palace or peek down the corridors of Windsor Castle, you can get a bit closer to achieving your dreams through these interactive online resources. Test them out and remember that there's nothing wrong with a bit of escapism.

Windsor Castle

The Amir Of Kuwait On His State Visit To The UK

While you may not have been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding , you can imagine being there while touring the venue. Windsor Castle has been a royal home and fortress for more than 900 years. When royal weddings are not occurring, the castle acts as the Queen's home—where she usually spends the weekend—and as a royal residence where she performs certain official duties.

With this virtual tour , you can start by going inside a traditional State Banquet in St. George's Hall. Then visit the Waterloo Chamber and the Crimson Drawing Room. Make sure to click on the "i" icons for even more information about each space.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse

Holyrood House

If you want something with a bit of Scottish flair, take a look at the Queen's official residence in Scotland: The Palace of Holyroodhouse. Located in Edinburgh, the Palace was the principal residence of the Kings and Queens of Scots starting from the 16th century. This Palace hosts visitors throughout the year, and is available for your own personal viewing online through this virtual tour .

The Tower of London

Tower Of London

While no one currently lives in the Tower of London, the building is technically a castle and is officially known as Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London. Founded in the eleventh century by William the Conquerer, the Tower has been used as an armory, a treasury, a menagerie, a public record office, the home of the Crown Jewels of England, and, most commonly, a prison. The Tower is now mostly a tourist attraction and a place to display the Crown Jewels.

Take a virtual tour, which includes photos of many of these precious jewels, here .

10 Downing Street

Polling Stations Open For The General Election

If you're in the mood for something more castle-adjacent (i.e. a MASSIVE house), Google Arts & Culture offers a virtual tour of 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Casually referred to as Number 10, the home is over 300 years old and has approximately 100 rooms. Number 10 was first used when King George II offered it to Sir Robert Walpole, the de facto first British Prime Minister, in 1732, so it certainly has royal ties.

On your virtual tour , you can explore the Cabinet Room, the Study, and the Grand Staircase. Each area also has accompanying informational videos, so you can really brush up on your British political history as you peruse.

  • 11:55, 26 Mar 2020
  • Updated 11:57, 26 Mar 2020

Staying at home is important right now, but binge-watching Netflix or batch cooking can quickly get boring.

However, sitting on your sofa doesn't mean you can't do some exploring.

In fact, a host of major UK attractions offer virtual tours you can take, whether you want a sneak peek of Buckingham Palace's grandiose interiors, or views of the breathtaking landscapes in the Lake District.

We're not suggesting it's the same as visiting the real thing of course, but it can make for a welcome distraction.

So grab a cup of tea, settle into your sofa and let yourself be transported to some of the UK's brilliant attractions and destinations...

1. Stonehenge

The English Heritage site boasts an official virtual tour that offers 360 degree views, as if you were standing in the middle of the mysterious stone circle.

It's an interactive offering, so you can click on specific points and learn more about the history, without missing out on highlights that a guided tour would have pointed out.

Check out the virtual tour here .

2. Buckingham Palace

The Queen 's residence offers 360 virtual tours of iconic rooms including the Throne Room, Grand Staircase and the White Drawing Room. You can click on information points to learn more about the history and key spots not to miss.

3. Lake District

The Lake District is renowned for its spectacular scenery but you can get a taste on the region's official website thanks to the various webcams which have been strategically placed to overlook some of the prettiest scenery.

Highlights include Lake Windermere, Coniston Water and Derwent Water.

The website also offers a gallery of beautiful pictures if you're in need of some extra escapism.

Check out the webcam footage here .

4. The Roman Baths

Bath's most famous attraction offers a virtual 'walkthrough' of the iconic Roman baths and architecture. Explore the Great Bath, heated rooms and plunge pools and the terrace, or learn more about the fascinating history with a virtual tour of some of the museum exhibitions.

5. Giant's Causeway

National Trust offers a 360 degree panoramic virtual tour of the spectacular landmark in Northern Ireland, with the added bonus of it being during one of those picture-perfect sunsets.

Want to find out more about the natural highlight? We've picked out 8 interesting facts about the Giant's Causeway you might not know - including where its name comes from.

6. The Globe

Theatre and history fans can get their fill with a virtual tour of the iconic London theatre where Shakespeare's plays were performed.

Check out the theatre as a spectator or enjoy the same view as the actors on stage, head backstage in the Tiring-House or discover the Musicians Gallery.

7. Palace of Holyroodhouse

One of the Queen's UK residences , the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland offers a virtual tour with highlights including The Great Staircase, the Morning Drawing Room and the King's Bedchamber.

8. Canterbury Cathedral

Get a sneak peek of the cathedral's incredible architecture and beautiful artefacts in this extensive tour which offers a floor plan where you can select the rooms you're interested in for 360 degree camera views.

Highlights include the Bell Harry Tower and the Crypt.

9. The National Gallery

Get a dose of art and culture thanks to the virtual tour on offer from the National Gallery in London. Tour the rooms and wings, and zoom in on the artwork to see some of the highlights (and no need to face the crowds of visitors which usually flock here).

10. British Museum

Forget facing crowds to see the British Museum's amazing collections - on this virtual tour you can check out the highlights at your own leisure.

The museum teamed up with Google Earth for the tour. It's worth noting that it doesn't offer a walkthrough experience, but it's a great way of getting a taste of what will be on offer the day you can go and check it out in real life.

How Much Is My Virtual Tour Really Going To Cost?

  • On May 11, 2021
  • In Business

Virtual Tour Price – How Much Is My Virtual Tour Going To Cost?

If we had to pick one question that our clients and prospects ask us repeatedly – it’s definitely about the virtual tour price. It’s completely normal to want to know what you’re going to pay for something but with many factors that can effect the price of a virtual tour it’s not always a simple question to answer. Because of that, we’ve created this guide to help you determine the virtual tour cost by explaining the factors that affect it with ballpark prices and examples.

How Much Does a 3D Virtual Tour Cost?

We’ve answered this question thousands of times since we started Scene3D, and these days, prospective clients will ask us for virtual tour quotes or estimates every week — many will raise the question within the first few minutes of our conversation.

Price matters. Virtual tour price dictates whether or not a virtual tour is the right choice for you, your business, or your venue. It also influences which functionalities you’ll get, and the type of virtual tour.

And because we believe in transparency as one of our core principles – we’ll share with you what affects the price of virtual tours and a price range for different virtual tour options. Not all virtual tours are made the same, and because of that, it’s important for you to know what value you’ll get for your money. Some people mix up 360 tours with virtual tours and video tours. We’ve explained the difference so you’ll know exactly what you need.

When you’re researching the cost of making a virtual tour, types, and benefits keep in mind that the purpose of the virtual tour is to work in your specific case. To achieve that, you need to develop an initial budget, and a plan and get a general understanding of what you’re paying for and if there are any long-term costs.

It’s completely natural you’re eager to learn the price right away, but it’s a tough question to answer right off the bat. There are so many variables, and it’s not your job to know the specifics. But the more informed you are, the better results you’ll get. Whether you get a £200 or £2000 virtual tour, we always start with getting to know you and your goals better.

Assessing your goals, the results you’re after, and your space will help us figure out if you need some special considerations, and offer you a personalized solution based on that. What works for someone else, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you.

At Scene3D, we strive to educate every prospective client, even if that leads you to a different solution. Our main goal with this blog post is to offer you information about realistic price ranges for virtual tours based on our real-world experience.

Please keep in mind that all virtual tour prices, whether for residential or commercial projects, are only estimates based on our real-world experience. Virtual tour costs can and often do vary drastically based on the solution(s) you choose, where you live, your chosen provider, and many other factors. This blog post is focused mainly on Matterport virtual tour pricing in the UK, and you’ll get fresh information including virtual tour prices in 2022.

How Much Does A House Virtual Tour Cost?

In 2023, the virtual tour price for residential properties will be approximately £300 to £600 (+VAT). What’s included in the cost of making a virtual tour?

A professional will 3D scan the house to properly capture the whole property. But that’s not all. What happens after determines the quality of your 3D virtual tour, and its functionalities. That’s why post-production to bring your virtual tour together is an indispensable part of the process.

Virtual tour pricing highly depends on the size of the property, scale, and its intricacy. For example, a virtual tour of a studio apartment will take considerably less time & effort to produce than a virtual tour of a large 6 bedroomed country manor house. Most good virtual tour providers will be able to give a pretty good indication of the cost to create a virtual tour from an approximate Sq Ft of the property .

residential_virtual_tour_price

Size is not the only factor to consider however, the intricacy of the property can play an important role in determining the house virtual tour cost. An old cottage with lots of small alcoves, twisty staircases, and cramped attic spaces may be more difficult to 3D scan than a modern property with a similar Sq Ft. If you think your property may have some unique or unusual features it’s important to speak to your virtual tour provider and let them know before they arrive at the property to ensure everyone is on the same page and prevent any surprise increases in costs.

If you’re curious about real estate virtual tour pricing you’ll be happy to learn that many virtual tour providers will also offer discounts to property owners, estate agents, or property developers who are looking to have more than one residential virtual tour created. So if you are thinking of rolling out virtual tours across your whole property portfolio it could be beneficial to have that conversation with a virtual tour provider when enquiring about costs.

Take a look at a residential virtual tour below:

Commercial virtual tour price – how is it calculated.

Now, this is where things start to get a little bit more complicated.

The same factors that determine the price of a residential virtual tour still apply, however, commercial projects vary wildly from one space to the next. A local restaurant will (probably) have a very different size & shape to a city centre 12-floor office block.

Each client could have very different objectives they wish to achieve with their virtual tour: a gym may want to increase the number of new members, an education facility wants to attract top talent to attend with a 3D virtual tours for schools , a gallery may want to help those with anxiety feel more comfortable visiting in person or a commercial property agent may wish to simply showcase a beautiful space to potential tenants.

All of these things and more will determine the virtual tour price. We’ve seen commercial virtual tours start from as low as £300 and go as high as £4,000+ based on the physical space, the scope of the project, the objectives & the number of virtual tours required.

commercial_virtual_tour_price

Left: floor-plan of a small independent gym / Right: floor-plan of a large 2 floor health clubAll of these things and more will determine the virtual tour price. We’ve seen commercial virtual tours start from as low as £300 and go as high as £4,000+ based on the physical space, the scope of the project, the objectives & the number of virtual tours required.

With this in mind, here are a few tips to help streamline the process of getting a final commercial virtual tour price:

What is the size of the space?

Floor plans can be extremely helpful but knowing at least a rough Sq Ft of the space usually helps narrow down a ballpark cost. We know that sometimes it can be tricky to get this information, particularly if it’s an older commercial space where floor plans may be lost or outdated. If it’s not possible to get floor plans or a rough Sq Ft then some pictures of the space / areas you’d like included in your virtual tour is usually enough to produce an estimate.

What are your objectives?

Having a clear picture of who you are hoping will explore your virtual tour can be very useful, for example, one gym may want to appeal to hardcore fitness fanatics while another may want to feel approachable to novice new members. Understanding your target market will help your virtual tour provider find the best possible solution for your needs.

Who is your target market?

Having a clear picture of who you are hoping will explore your virtual tour can be very useful, for example, one gym may want to appeal to hardcore fitness fanatics while another may want to feel approachable to novice new members. Understanding your target market will help your virtual tour provider find the best possible solution for your needs.

Take a look at a commercial virtual tour below:

Additional Features:

Other factors that could impact the price are additional features that take a virtual tour above and beyond the default software.

These could include:

  • Personalisation and branding of the tour
  • A navigation menu to aid in sending visitors to key areas
  • An introduction screen and welcome video to introduce your tour to new visitors
  • Custom data-tag icons
  • Facebook messenger intergration

Which of these options to use will be different depending on the requirements of your project.

For example, a virtual tour of a building under construction is likely to be used for reference purposes and so won’t require branding and additional features.

Virtual tour price - navigation menu

Whereas a virtual tour of a school may want to include branding, a navigation menu and a welcome video to help new students get a feel for the life at the school and quickly find where their new classroom will be.

It all depends on the unique requirements of your property, venue or business.

Our top tips to get your to a virtual tour price quickly:

If you’ve got a project in mind and would like to quickly get a quote for a virtual tour it can help to have the following information prepared when speaking to a virtual tour provider. This will help them to quickly identify the best solution for your project, suggest an approach and put together a quote:

  • What is the space (is it home, a commercial office or wedding venue for example)?
  • Do you have a estimate Sq Ft of the space? If not do you have any photos of the space you can share so your provider can get a feel for the size and shape
  • Where is the property located?
  • Is there any other important info (out of hours access, property condition or parking restrictions for example)?

If you aren’t sure on any of the above don’t worry, they’re simply tips to help you get to a quote quickly. Any proffesional virtual tour company will be able t0 talk through your project and help you to get to an estimated quote.

The Exact Virtual Tour Price – Get a Quote Today

There are many other factors that can impact the virtual tour price such as 3D vs 360, interactive data tags, and VR functionality to name a few but a good virtual tour provider will be able to talk you through these options.

We hope you’ve developed a better feel for the potential virtual tour price including the overall residential & commercial virtual tour pricing range, and what to expect when you start going through the virtual tour buying process.

As we’ve mentioned, everything here is simply an estimate, and your final price may look much different. If you’d like to know the actual virtual tour price for your specific case, we’d be happy to help you. House Plans with 360 Virtual Tours

You've decided that you want to begin looking at house plans to build the house of your dreams, but you keep running into the same problem over and over. It's so difficult to visualize what your home will look like with just a few drawings of a plan and some blueprints. How can you get a better idea of what your nonexistent home will look like once it's built? Enter virtual house tours.

Looking at house plans with virtual tours before a house is even built offers many benefits that can significantly enhance home-building. Here's why:

  • Easier visualization. 3D virtual house tours provide a three-dimensional, immersive property perspective, allowing prospective homeowners to explore the planned layout in detail. This brings the flat, two-dimensional house plans to life, offering a better understanding of the rooms' size, spatial relationships, and flow.
  • Helps in decision-making. Through virtual tours, prospective you can make informed decisions about design aspects before construction begins. This includes the layout of rooms, placement of windows, or the flow between spaces. Seeing the house in 3D can highlight potential issues or improvements that may not be obvious from 2D plans.
  • Personalization of the space. Virtual house tours allow for property personalization even before construction starts. Users can visualize different finishes, colors, or furnishings, helping them to plan and personalize their future homes.
  • Cost and time savings. Catching potential design or layout challenges for your family through a virtual house tour might save time and money in the long run, as changes can be made before construction begins, avoiding costly adjustments during the build.

Virtual house tours provide a robust, interactive, and highly informative tool when looking at house plans. By offering an immersive view of the house before it's built, they aid in visualization, decision-making, personalization, and communication, potentially saving time and resources and increasing satisfaction with the final result.

360 virtual tours faq, what is the difference between a virtual tour and a 3d house plan.

Virtual tours and 3D house plans are valuable tools in real estate marketing and property development and have distinct characteristics and uses.

A virtual house tour provides an interactive, panoramic view of a property, allowing prospective buyers or renters to walk through a space visually. Depending on the complexity, a virtual tour might be a series of high-quality photographs or a 360-degree panoramic view.

The key aspect of a virtual house tour is that it depicts the property as it is, including the current decoration, furniture, finishes, and so forth . This realism helps potential buyers or renters get a feel for the property and visualize themselves living in it.

3D house plans, on the other hand, are a type of architectural drawing . They present a three-dimensional view of a property, typically showing the layout of the property without including details like furniture or decor unless it's precisely part of the design presentation.

3D house plans are particularly useful in construction and remodeling, helping builders, contractors, and homeowners understand and communicate the property's design. For potential buyers, a 3D house plan can clearly understand the property's layout, size, and flow.

The critical difference between a virtual house tour and a 3D house plan lies in their purpose and presentation. A virtual tour offers a realistic, interactive view of an existing property, helping viewers visualize the space as it is. In contrast, a 3D house plan provides a structural and spatial representation of a property, highlighting its architectural design and layout. While different, both tools can significantly assist in selling, buying, or renting a property.

What is a virtual tour of a house?

Virtual tours of a house can take various forms. At the basic level, they may consist of a series of professionally taken, high-definition photographs of a property's interior and exterior. These photographs are often arranged in a slideshow format to give the viewer a sense of moving through the property.

More advanced versions of virtual tours employ 360-degree panoramic images or even 3D walkthroughs, where users can navigate through the property as if they were there. This interactive exploration of virtual house plans allows viewers to get a comprehensive view of the space, including its layout and unique features.

Users may even interact with the 3D space in the most sophisticated virtual tours. For instance, they might be able to open doors, turn lights on and off, or manipulate furniture. This high level of interactivity provides a very immersive experience and can significantly aid in the decision-making process for prospective buyers or renters.

Do virtual tours help people buy houses?

Yes, virtual tours are an influential tool to help people buy houses. There are several ways in which virtual tours can help people buy homes.

  • House plans with virtual tours provide a comprehensive view of the property. High-definition photos, 360-degree panoramas, or 3D walkthroughs allow potential builders or buyers to inspect every corner of the house at their convenience. This level of detailed visual information can significantly aid decision-making, even before a physical viewing is arranged.
  • Virtual tours save time and money. People can explore numerous homes from the comfort of their living room rather than traveling to multiple properties, which can be especially difficult for out-of-town or international buyers. This reduces travel expenses and allows potential buyers to narrow their list of prospective homes effectively.
  • Virtual tours' immersive nature helps buyers envision themselves in the home. This is particularly true for interactive 3D virtual house tours, where users can "walk" through the property and manipulate elements within the space. The more a person can visualize living in a house, the more likely they are to consider purchasing it.
  • House plans with virtual walkthroughs allow for 24/7 property viewing. Potential buyers aren't limited by traditional open house hours or realtor availability. They can explore the property anytime they wish, as many times as they want, leading to a more profound familiarity with the house and, eventually, more confident buying decisions.

How do virtual house tours work?

Virtual house tours work through a combination of modern technology, like digital photography, videography, and software for 3D modeling and virtual reality. They provide a detailed, interactive, and immersive view of a property, allowing potential buyers or renters to explore it remotely. Here's a general process of how virtual house tours work:

  • Photography and Videography. The process begins by capturing high-quality photos or videos of the property. A series of photos may be sufficient for a simple virtual house plans tour. For a more advanced 360-degree panorama or 3D walkthrough, special equipment like a 360-degree camera or a 3D camera may be needed. These devices capture images in all directions, creating a complete view of each room.
  • Image Processing. After capturing the images, they are processed using special software. If a 360-degree tour or a 3D model is being created, the software stitches together the photos to create a seamless panoramic or 3D image. Some software can even generate a 3D model of the property based on 2D images, though more advanced tours may use dedicated 3D scanning devices.
  • Interactive Elements. Depending on the complexity of the tour, interactive elements might be added. For example, in 3D virtual house tours, viewers may "move" through the property by clicking on different areas of the image. Some tours might also allow viewers to interact with elements in the home, like opening doors or turning lights on and off.
  • Additional Information. Once the main visual elements of the tour are ready, further information can be added. This might include text descriptions, voiceovers, floor plans, or information about local amenities. This gives viewers a more complete understanding of the property.
  • Online Hosting. The final virtual tour is hosted online on the real estate agency's website, a property listing site, or a dedicated virtual tour platform. The tour is usually embedded in a webpage and can be viewed using a web browser. Some tours might also be compatible with virtual reality headsets for an even more immersive experience!

What are the benefits of 360 virtual tours?

  • 360-degree virtual tours offer many benefits, transforming how properties are marketed and explored. They provide a realistic, immersive experience, allowing users to explore a space as if they were physically present. Here are some significant benefits of 360-degree virtual tours:
  • Enhanced imaging. Unlike static images, 360-degree tours allow viewers to look in all directions: up, down, and around. They provide a complete view of rooms and spaces, giving potential buyers or builders a realistic feel for the layout and size of the property.
  • Increased engagement. 360-degree tours are interactive, allowing users to control their property exploration. This engagement can lead to potential buyers or renters spending more time on the property's listing, increasing their interest and likelihood of taking further action.
  • Convenience and accessibility. House plans with virtual walkthroughs can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and on any device with an internet connection. This makes it easy for out-of-town or international prospects to view the property or plan, expanding the potential market.
  • Time and effort savings. By providing a comprehensive view of a property, 360-degree 3D virtual house tours can help potential buyers or renters decide whether the property meets their needs before arranging a physical viewing. This can save the realtor and the potential buyer significant time and resources.

Opening the doors to Humanist Heritage: virtual tour of Conway Hall launched for schools

17 April, 2024

uk house virtual tour

Humanists UK has launched its groundbreaking interactive virtual tour for schools , created in partnership with Conway Hall Ethical Society and made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. One of only two surviving buildings in the UK built by and for the non-religious, this virtual tour of London’s Conway Hall will enable young people to learn about humanism past and present like never before.

The virtual tour

Built by 3D virtual exhibition producers V21 Artspace , the virtual tour brings Conway Hall to life , featuring 360-degree panoramic views, high-definition imagery, and informative written and audio commentary. Annotations illuminate key features of the building and its collections, helping to tell the story of those who built, visited, or spoke at Conway Hall. Through a focus on three core spaces – the foyer, main hall, and library – learners are introduced to key features of the humanist approach, along with examples of the people who put these beliefs into practice.

uk house virtual tour

Part of Humanist Heritage: Doers, Dreamers, Place Makers

The virtual tour has been designed to enable school pupils to ‘visit’ and learn about a humanist building as they might a religious place of worship – whether through a teacher-led trip, or self-guided exploration. The foyer, with its bust of abolitionist and suffragist Moncure Conway , explores the significance of ethics and community; the main hall, emblazoned with the Shakespearean ‘to thine own self be true’, focuses on the freedom of speech and of belief, and on taking action on issues that matter; and the library – home to the UK’s richest humanist research resource – emphasises how humanists strive to understand the world and share ideas.

Meet an array of humanists

As well as introducing Conway Hall’s own history and its mission today of ‘making ethics matter’, specially recorded videos allow learners to ‘meet’ contemporary humanists, who reflect on what humanism means to them, and what we can learn from looking back. The learning journey is supported by a teachers’ guide, with suggested activities for the classroom, as well as a collection of stories about historic humanists written by Isabelle King. Like Humanist Heritage’s earlier resource, Think for Yourself, Act for Everyone , these tales introduce a range of figures – from E.M. Forster and Bertrand Russell to Rose Bush and Eslanda Robeson – and have been illustrated by Tonka Uzu.

uk house virtual tour

Made possible through the generous support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, it is hoped that the virtual tour will enable many hundreds of people to experience Conway Hall for the first time, as well as offering a new experience for even seasoned visitors. While this version of the virtual tour has been created with schools in mind, a general audience tour will launch later in the year.

Luke Donnellan, Director of Understanding Humanism at Humanists UK, said:

‘We often hear from school teachers looking for ideas for ways to bring humanism to life in the classroom. This fantastic new virtual tour of Conway Hall provides a means of investigating the humanist worldview and its history. Taking an interactive journey, students will explore the people, objects, and events that helped to shape humanism and its impact on the modern world.’

Glenys Adelusi, Conway Hall’s Programme Manager, said:

‘Conway Hall’s story is made possible by its history of emboldening radical thinkers, ideas and aspirations for social change which transcend the realm of our building. What better way to continue this legacy than to equip young minds in navigating conversations on the significant contributions of humanists over the years, and their methods in exploring the world we live in today, through this interactive tour. ‘It is our hope that this tour not only provides a stimulating and accessible learning resource for wider discussion on humanism and ethics at large, but inspires and memorialises new perspectives on Conway Hall’s rich history.

The interactive virtual tour is now available to access free of charge. Go to Understanding Humanism to discover the tour and make use of its accompanying resources .
