"This is the only thing I ever wanted to do", says Brian Leighton. And 15 years, 3,000 shows and a dozen discs later he's still doing it -- better than ever before. The leader and namesake of gb leighton, who calls himself "a working class kid from a Twin Cities suburb who loves to put on a good show" is arguably the region's most popular rocker. His six-piece band performs some 200 shows a year across the upper midwest at such varied venues as nightclubs, county fairs and church festivals. Often compared to his boyhood idol Bruce Springsteen, Brian has created his own style of heartfelt lyrics and house-rocking rhythms that have made each show an event. Always in the audience are loyal fans - dancing, cheering and singing along - as well as new fans discovering the magic of gb leighton for the first time.

Brian's generosity is legendary. He and the band have performed countless benefit concerts over the years for medical research, needy patients and national guard members heading off to war. Long before becoming a cancer survivor himself, Brian was headlining the annual Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund benefit. Whether partying with fans on his annual winter tour to Mexico or singing with the crowd on the dance floor at gb leighton's Pickle Park, Brian is, by his own definition, "a man of the people." GB Leighton,  a band named after one of the regions’ most incendiary live performers and consistently solid songwriters, Brian Leighton. Through almost three decades and fourteen albums, Leighton and his band have been tearing up rock clubs, festivals and even a few fan’s living rooms with a slew of songs that connect with the heart and couples singing along out on the dance floor. “A man of the people” is a phrase usually reserved for statesmen and politicians, but for Leighton, it’s a fitting description when you see him in action working a crowd.

Advanced tickets are $15 – 18 depending on seating.

Moscow’s Dinamo Elektrostal are gearing up for their fifth EHL season having frequently picked off impressive wins but have yet to top their particular group in their previous attempts.

They did get the best of arch rivals Dinamo Ak-Bars in both the Russian Cup and the Prometheus International tournament to show they are knocking on the door.

There has been a reasonable level of turnover from 2020 with Anton Noshin, Evgenii Mokrousov, Aleksei Godenkov and Ivan Zuikov joining the newly formed TsOP Moskomsport outfit. Danill Karagodin, Mikhail Nekludov and Ilya Larikov have all retired.

Their replacements are mostly youngsters with Dmitry Zheleznyakov, Aleksei Samylkin, Petr Agapov, Ilia Bartenev, Andrei Gribanov and Oleg Kulakov joining their line-up.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
