Justin Bieber announces new Kuala Lumpur tour date
- Editorial Team 23rd Mar 2022
The recent announcement by the Malaysian Government to reopen Malaysia’s international borders on the 1st of April 2022, signals the much awaited return of the international live events, music and touring industry. With the relaxing of capacity restrictions, the industry can now resume operations for what was one of the most severely impacted sectors since March 2020. This reopening announcement could not have been more timely as Justin Bieber today announced new dates for his much-anticipated Justice World Tour, including Kuala Lumpur on October 22, 2022, at National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
Kicking off on October 22, Bieber will hit Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo. The entire world tour spans more than 100 dates throughout 2022 and 2023 in North America, South America, Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Asia and the Middle East, with more shows to be announced in Asia very soon.

Live events, concerts and shows in KL we look forward to for the rest of the year
Looking forward to live concerts in KL throughout 2022?
Concerts are back in action, and although we were thrilled with the news of Justin Bieber’s arrival in Malaysia, the singer announced on 6 September that he is again taking a break from touring to focus on his health. The Canadian pop singer posted in June 2022 on his recovery after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, forcing him to cancel several shows across America. Currently, the ‘Justice World Tour’ is postponed to 2023 in Malaysia.
Justin Bieber may have cancelled a part of his world tour, but there are other exciting acts to look forward to in Kuala Lumpur. With three more months left till 2023, plenty more will be progressively jetting in to entertain Malaysians who have been musically deprived. This includes Epik High, Jack White, LANY, KESHI, Boy Pablo, and much more.
In 2023, we have Blackpink and OneRepublic to look forward to.
A list of concerts, comedies and other events in KL confirmed for 2022:
Justin lo’s ‘fresh start’ on 30 april 2022.
Taking place at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, Hong Kong-American heartthrob Justin Lo will be among the first international artists to perform in person since Malaysia reopened on April 1.
He is known for his string of Canto-pop hits ‘第一秒 or First Second’, ‘命硬 or Die Hard’ and ‘好人 or Good Guy’.
Tickets range from the democratic RM188 to RM788 for a VIP seat. Resorts World Genting members are entitled to a small discount. The concert in KL 2022 starts at 8.30pm.

‘Lost in Karak’ from 26 till 30 May 2022
The myths of lost souls patrolling the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway in the depth of the night, as well as that of a yellow vehicle piloted by a phantom driver, are purportedly among the country’s most infamous paranormal activities. This May, an immersive pop-up horror experience jointly presented by Pepsi, Hauntu and The Livescape Group will breathe life into the hair-raising tales of the highway bisecting the Titiwangsa Mountains, through a series of compelling storytelling, lifelike characters and terrifying effects.
Taking place at The Linc 11am-10pm, ‘Lost in Karak’ isn’t for the faint-hearted. But that’s the reason you will be there – you aren’t terrified, are you? Tickets are priced at RM29 per pax before May 1, or RM39 per pax after the promo ends.

Nigel Ng’s ‘Haiyaa World Tour’ on 17 June 2022
Thanks to a hilarious yet brutally scathing put down of a fried rice recipe originally aired on BBC, the YouTube comedian turned Internet sensation has been sought out by Michelin-star chefs for peer approval. The August Man Malaysia cover star will return to his homeland to dish out more laughter – this time before a live audience at the KL Convention Centre.
Adopting the Uncle Roger persona, Nigel has raked up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. But why watch YouTube when you can be humoured in person?
