With Pre-Launch , the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

If you are not happy with any items purchased via our website, under Consumer Contracts Regulations you have the right to return any unused products for a refund or exchange within 30 days.

When the customer sends an item back to the company (or, when the company arranges for collecting from the customer), the company will process the returned item then notify the customer via email of the refund. The refund will be issued within 3 - 5 working days of the product being received by us, it may then take an additional 3 - 5 working days for the refund to be paid into the customers account.

For items returned within the cooling off period...

By law, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 14 working days of the date on which the item is delivered.
Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item.

Returned goods should be unused, in a saleable condition and in their original packaging with all labels still attached. Team Cycles is entitled to refuse the return or deduct from a refund as a result of the product not being in the above condition.
We are only able to exchange like for like products. If you require a different item, you will need to opt for a refund and place a new order. All returns must have a completed returns form.
We will refund you to your original payment method.
We make no charge for returns, there is no restocking fee.
Customised items cannot be returned. *
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer unless you have been advised to.
Team Cycles customers have 30 days from date of delivery to return their orders.
Once we have received the returned goods we will refund you, by the method you used to pay for your order. This may take 5-7 working days to appear as cleared funds.

*Faulty customised goods (or goods that have been altered in any way) will need to be returned for inspection as customisation may void your warranty and therefore faults may not be covered.

All products ordered from Team Cycles come with a full warranty which covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship. If you feel that your purchase has developed a fault, please contact our store for an assessment. To do this you will need proof of purchase.

If taking your product in store is not an option then please email our team on [email protected] . Please include photographs of your product (please keep below 20mb), your web order number (or copy of receipt) so we can immediately start to assess the issue.

PLEASE NOTE:

In some cases, the manufacturer/supplier may require to see the item(s) before repair or replacement can take place. If this is the case, we will inform you and arrange how to do this. All used items being returned to us must be cleaned for hygiene purposes.

Trek did a very good job making the Slash a quiet bike, then seemingly lost the plot when they specced a hard rubber chainslap protector that does little to mitigate the drivetrain noise in bumpy terrain.

Excellent geometry and balanced ride

The all-new Trek Slash is beefed up in celebration of its sixth iteration. This fresh design features an oversized, 19-tooth idler pulley and a high-pivot rear suspension configuration for the first time in the model’s lineage. Travel has been increased to 170 millimeters, pushing it further into the all-out, winch-and-plummet ethos that so many enduro bikes seem to be gravitating to. Our 9.9 version was spec’d with Bontrager’s RSL integrated handlebar and stem, a SRAM T-Type XO drivetrain, and the all-new RockShox Vivid Ultimate rear shock. The previous Slash was an impressive bike. It was impressively light for an enduro bike and was surprisingly efficient to pedal around all day. The new Slash Gen 6 leans more heavily toward the chairlift and shuttle culture side of the mountain bike world with some extra heft and additional pulleys in the drivetrain. However, with the oversized pulley and lighter casing tires, I found the Slash to climb the most efficiently of any high-pivot bike I’ve reviewed thus far. I attribute this mostly to the large, 19-tooth upper idler.

The Trek Slash 9.8 XT is an enduro bike with progressive geometry and 29er wheels and 170/160mm of travel, and offers a performance that seriously impressive. Good enough to make it on our list of the best enduro mountain bikes? Absolutely. It’s good enough to score a 10 out of 10; a rare feat. Trek Slash 9.8 XT need to know: Mino Link geometry adjustment allows for a 27.5in Mullet setup KnockBlock 2.0 offers an increases the steering angle from 58º to 72º and can be removed if needed A bash guard on the MRP chain guide helps protects the 30t XT chainring RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock sports ThruShaft technology to control the 160mm travel We took the Trek Slash 9.9 XO1 for a first ride when it launched last year, and while the 2022 bike looks remarkably similar, right down to the frame colour of the bike we featured last time, there are several differences. The main one being that the XT equipped bike is £1,500 cheaper and there are changes to the specification that reflect its lower price. You get a full Shimano XT drivetrain and 4-piston XT brakes, rather than SRAM XO1. You also get a RockShox Zeb Select+ fork rather than the Ultimate, while the Bontrager Line Carbon 30 wheels switch to the alloy version. Downgrades? Yes, but none that should detract from the underlying ride quality of the Slash. The most important thing is that the OCLV carbon frame remains unchanged, so you still benefit from all of the advances in the frame geometry and suspension that Trek introduced last year. Updates that saw the addition of downtube storage, the head tube angle getting slacker, the seat tube steeper and the reach longer. Trek also made the suspension more progressive, and increased rear travel by 10mm to 160mm. All positive changes then. Trek Slash 9.8 suspension Trek has always been a big proponent of proprietary suspension components. As such, the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock on the Slash 9.8 XT features Trek’s ThruShaft technology and it’s the exact same shock that comes on the flagship model. This design eliminates the need for a high pressure IFP (internal floating piston) and in simple terms, this allows for lower breakaway resistance and improved sensitivity. And because the damper shaft passes straight through the shock body, it needs an extender mount and a small hole in the frame to accept the ThruShaft at bottom out. Sounds complex? Well it is, but thankfully setting up the suspension on the Slash is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Sag gradients make it simple to dial in the correct air pressure, and in the open setting the shock has three low-compression settings for fine tuning the response to pedal inputs or the style of terrain you’re riding. Also if you ever want to fit an aftermarket shock, that’s still possible as the Slash uses a 230×62.5mm metric shock size, you’ll just need different lower mounting hardware. Bike & Bulky Item Returns

If you wish to return your bike to us please keep it in the box it arrived in and call us on 01772 644340 and we will arrange a collection.

Please note the following:

a) If we have sent you the incorrect bicycle, we will cover the cost of collection and delivery of the correct model.
b) If we have delivered the bicycle you ordered, but upon inspection you decide it is not the bike for you, we will charge you £50.00 for the collection.

Please do not ride the bike as a full refund cannot be given if the bike has been used or damaged.

Return Items to a store

Any item (excluding food and underwear) can be returned to any Leisure Lakes Bikes store not just the one you made your purchase at, including those made online. The item must be returned in ‘showroom condition’, with its original packaging, tags and with a valid receipt/delivery note.

Wrong size or you don't like the item?

If returning items that are not suitable for either refund or exchange you are accountable for the delivery cost in returning it to us. You should always keep proof of postage and we advise you to use a ‘signed for service’ when returning goods.

New faulty items/ Wrong Item Received

If you have received items that are faulty or not what you ordered send them back to us (using the steps above) and we will cover the delivery cost of the return if it is within 14 days of delivery. If we have supplied the correct product, it is not faulty or it is outside of the 14 days we can not be liable for your postage charges. You should always keep proof of postage and we advise you to use a ‘signed for service’ when returning goods.

In the event that you have received items that are fault or not what you ordered, please send them back to us as soon as possible. Only in these cases will we cover the cost of the return shipping charges.

Faulty Items

If you have received items that are faulty please send them back to us using the steps above. Please include a covering letter describing the fault and if you would like the item replacing or refunding. Once the item arrives back at our Mail Order Centre you will receive an email notifying you about the progress. Faulty items are then forwarded onto the suppliers to confirm the warranty issue. Please be patient with us as we need to receive this confirmation from the suppliers before we can process your request for a replacement/refund.

When returning the item please use Royal Mail1 st Class Recorded* so that you have a tracking reference just in case! If your item arrived faulty we will refund your postage cost. If the item was in full working order at the time of delivery to you, we can not refund your return postage cost.

*In the event that you return a faulty/incorrect item we will refund your postage charge as long as it is 1 st Class Recorded or a lesser value service. We do not refund premium services.

Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original purchase. Credit and debit card refunds must be made to the card used for the original transaction, cheque payments will be refunded in cash but due to banking restrictions can only be refunded at least 14 days after the original purchase date. Due to the high incidence of fraud we regret that we are unable to offer any refund without a valid receipt/delivery note.

Refunds will be made for faulty or incorrect items, including any delivery charge incurred by the buyer (excluding ‘Special Delivery’) in the return of the item. If the products you ordered are delivered to you in good condition but you wish to return them for any reason we will refund the full value of the goods excluding any carriage charge upon receipt of your returned goods.

Items won’t be considered lost until after 15 working days of items beingdispatched. Once the 15 working days are up we will issue a refund or replacement.

Not received your order?

If you have not received your order please call us on 01772 644340 and a member of staff can confirm the shipping date. Unfortunately we cannot consider an item to be lost until 15 working days has passed (according to Royal Mail procedure). Once the 15 working days have passed we will be able to issue a full refund or resend your order.

Hassle free returns

Cycle Solutions offer a full 18-month warranty on bikes purchased through our online shop, in line with the guidance set out in the Consumer Rights Acts 2015.

In the unfortunate event of your purchase being affected by a warranty-covered fault, please inform us by email ( [email protected] ). Please note that our Aftersales Department's operating hours are 09:00AM to 17:30PM Monday to Friday.

Once a warranty claim has been placed we will review the claim and advise on an appropriate course of action, please do not return your item until you have spoken to an advisor.

Please allow a minimum of 15 working days from receipt of returned item(s) for repair/replacement under warranty. We expect to be able to return the items within a maximum 30 working days, however, specific timescales can change based on the requirements of the individual case.

Most bikes and accessories are covered by a standard manufacturer's warranty but please be aware that there are faults/issues that are NOT covered by your warranty. This includes;

Any normal wear and tear from using the product
Improperly installed or repaired products (always follow the instruction guides for any product set-up or installation)
Modifications to products
Stripped pedal threads - a comprehensive guide on the correct installation of pedals is sent out with every bike
E-bike batteries and associated componentry

Once you have spoken to our aftersales department, you may need to return the item, you can arrange this via any courier/delivery service that you choose.

Please contact us in advance if you wish to return a bike as Collect+ will not accept large items If a bike needs to be returned due to an incorrect size being ordered, or the item is no longer wanted or ordered in error, then collection can be arranged at a cost of £40.00. If you do not wish to use our collection service then any alternative return method will need to be arranged at your own cost. Any Other Returns

Before sending your item back, please download and complete our returns form, completing all relevant sections and including this with your return - if your item is returned without the form included it can take significantly longer to correctly process the item and review the issue .

Item/s must be returned in the original packaging (in a resaleable condition), unused and unopened within 14-days of notification to cancel.

If Collect+ is not being used, then proof of postage will be required as Cycle Solutions is unable to accept liability for loss or damage whilst in transit back to us.

Additional non-returnable items:

· Any products that due to hygiene reasons, cannot be returned. This includes all undergarments (including socks) as well as padded shorts,bibshorts, tights, etc

· Downloadable software products

Your refund will be done with 30 days of receipt of returned goods and will not be done until the goods are received and inspected.

Returning a product under the WEEE Regulations.

What do the weee regulations mean.

WEEE (The Waste Electrical and electronic Equipment) Directive is UK law that governs the disposal and recycling of all electrical items. The law, introduced in 2014, puts the emphasis on the producers and suppliers of electrical equipment to pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electricals.

As a retailer that sells new Electrical and Electronic products we will take back old items, provided it is a like-for-like replacement when you buy a new product from us. We will then responsibly dispose of the old product ensuring that it doesn’t end up in landfill.

Disposing of equipment yourself

If you choose not to send your equipment back to us for disposal then you can dispose of any electricals or electronics yourself at your local recycling centre, who will dispose of your equipment via a controlled recycling process.

It reacts to the trail, not you—and it knows the difference between what you’re putting into it and what the trail is. Complete Bikes Due to warranty and supply agreements, all bicycles must be collected from one of our stores.

Note: we also do free setup on all new bikes so allow a bit of extra time (approx. 20 minutes) when you are collecting the bike for us to get it dialled in for you.

A Long-Lost Piece Of Star Trek History Has Been Found – And Returned To The Roddenberry Family

The next time you fire up eBay looking for a lightly used PS5 or a random everyday item that kind of resembles the face of Jesus Christ (look, do whatever you want with your hard-earned money, folks), take a closer look — you might just come across a priceless pop-culture relic that has been missing for decades. Anyone who's used these sorts of online marketplaces for long enough undoubtedly has their fair share of horror stories, but this is one case that ultimately resulted in a happy ending for all involved.

It's a tale that has gone down as part of "Star Trek" lore over the long years. A franchise as long-lasting as this one will inevitably rack up its fair share of fan-favorite props and other objects of import, created by talented and pioneering artists to bring genuinely out-of-this-world visuals and legendary concept art to life. Historically, "Trek" has relied on matte paintings, cutting-edge VFX techniques, and all sorts of innovative production designs to help turn various shows and movies into the beloved entries they became. One in particular that had been lost to time, a 33-inch model of the USS Enterprise used in the classic opening credits for "The Original Series," has managed to find its way back where it belongs.

The news was announced on Twitter (only the Borg would call it "X") by Eugene Roddenberry, Jr., the son of late franchise creator Gene Roddenberry, via a report by the New York Times . Roddenberry had some eagle-eyed fans to thank for it, who spotted an eBay listing auctioning the starship for $1000. The seller, upon being alerted to its significance, authenticated the find and eventually handed it over to Roddenberry for an unspecified reward. How's that for a feel-good story?

Back where it belongs

Perhaps no other fanbase understands the value of memorabilia and franchise history quite like Trekkies do. This probably explains why, rather than selling the Enterprise model for a quick buck, the unnamed seller instead went through the proper channels and made sure the priceless artifact was returned to its rightful owner. But how did it end up lost in the first place, you ask? Well, Gene Roddenberry originally lent the model to be used during production of 1979's criminally underrated "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," whereupon it mysteriously went missing. For their part, the seller claimed to have found the model in a storage unit — the exact path it took to end up there, however, will likely never be known.

In order to fully authenticate the find, according to the New York Times report, Eugene Roddenberry enlisted the help of "Star Trek" art supervisor Michael Okuda, "Trek" VFX artist Denise Okuda, and technical consultant Gary Kerr, the latter of whom used an old photo of the model from the 1960s as a point of comparison. According to Eugene:

"We spent at least an hour photographing it, inspecting the paint, inspecting the dirt, looking under the base, the patina on the stem, the grain in the wood ... It was a unanimous, 'This is 100 percent the one.'"

With that, an age-old cold case in the "Star Trek" universe has finally been solved.

The trains and stations of the Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro is the third most intensive subway system in the world after Tokyo and Seoul subways. The first line was opened on May 15, 1935. Since 1955, the metro has the name of V.I. Lenin.

The system consists of 12 lines with a total length of 305.7 km. Forty four stations are recognized cultural heritage. The largest passenger traffic is in rush hours from 8:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.

Cellular communication is available on most of the stations of the Moscow Metro. In March 2012, a free Wi-Fi appeared in the Circle Line train. The Moscow Metro is open to passengers from 5:20 to 01:00. The average interval between trains is 2.5 minutes.

The fare is paid by using contactless tickets and contactless smart cards, the passes to the stations are controlled by automatic turnstiles. Ticket offices and ticket vending machines can be found in station vestibules.

Lake Worth Beach's new Electric System Operations hub looks like something out of 'Star Trek'

LAKE WORTH BEACH — The first glances of the city's new Electric Systems Operations Center conjure up a few visual comparisons: an air-traffic control center, an NFL production studio, a sports bar or even the command center of the Enterprise ship in "Star Trek."

But aside from the wow factor, there is a purpose to the upgraded modernization of the sleek-looking system that was recently put into place.

“Our new ESOC incorporates all of the technologies we’ve updated and installed over the past few years on a readily viewable and configurable interactive wall of monitors and smart boards that give us a broad overview of the electric system,” said Jason Bailey, assistant director of electric system operations.

Entering the utility center, a quiet hum fills the building. Technicians monitor a wall of video screens. A click of their mouse zooms onto one of the 28,000 electric meters. Another screen shows a map of electric poles in the entire city.

Acrobatic i gu anas , drones, trouble trucks and pinpointing problems on computer screens are all in a day’s work for the Electric Utility staff as they rejuvenate the city’s power system.

The coastal city is the only municipality in Palm Beach County — and one of 33 in Florida — that supplies its own electricity to residents. Over the next decade, about $150 million from the federal government, bond issues and local utility rates is planned to revamp the system that many residents see as outdated and prone to outages.

The new system is part of a massive overhaul that Utilities Director Ed Liberty and Lake Worth Beach are devoted to making run smoother.

“There were no backups. Every day was a crisis when I first started,” said Liberty, who has been executive director of the utility since August 2017.

The new system includes a wall of interactive monitors tied to servers and multiple system sensors and meters that gives the 24-7 crew the ability to isolate problems block by block within the city.

The project was funded using proceeds from a revenue bond and is an element of the city’s System Hardening and Reliability Improvement Program.

The new stuff isn’t all high-tech. Looking like bracelets, foot-wide black plastic strips are wrapped around wooden utility poles to bamboozle climbing critters.

“Iguanas, squirrels — they get discouraged when they can’t get a grip on the plastic. They slip off,” said Mike Jenkins, the utility’s energy delivery manager.

Concrete and steel poles are replacing the old wood ones. Drones are taking infrared photos to detect malfunctioning connectors. Newly installed fault indicators — blue, goblet-sized gadgets attached to utility wires — light up amber to signal broken connections.

“Before all these innovations, we would be out there with binoculars and climbing poles looking for the problem,” said Liberty.

Maintaining a smooth operation and speeding up repairs is the ultimate goal.

Outages are tricky, utility staff members say. Storms slash lines. Residents pruning trees hit electric wires. So do landscapers on cherry pickers. Drivers whack utility poles. Fuses blow. Breakers break.

And Mylar balloons. The shiny inflatable birthday bubbles are the bane to repair staff.

“You’ll never see those balloons at my house,” said Adrian Wilkins, a systems operator who has often removed the pesky balloons from utility poles.

Mylar is a thin, plastic, polyester film that is different and stronger than traditional latex balloons. It was a Mylar balloon that caused a 15-minute power outage on a sunny afternoon on Sept. 5, 2017, on a utility pole at College Road and Sixth Avenue South. The entire city lost power.

Such shutdowns should be eliminated when a new backup system goes online this year, said Liberty. Called a “tie-line” in the utility biz, the redundant system clicks in when an outage occurs.

“We’ll see less outages,” said David Martyniuq, assistant director of engineering.

Another time-saver in utility’s toolbox is the three mobile repair units.

Nicknamed “trouble trucks,” they patrol the city 24 hours a day. A technician in the white vehicles with the Lake Worth Beach Utility logo responds to a problem when a property owner calls or a glitch shows up on the utility’s system.

Eight times out of 10, the trouble truck staff solves the problem when it’s a minor issue like a blown fuse, foliage interference or a loose connection.

Lake Worth Beach residential utility customers now pay an average of about $115 monthly. That’s the eighth-lowest among Florida’s investor and municipal-owned utilities, according to the Florida Municipal Electric Association.
