The Sky Lounge Loft is a great option for anyone looking to plan a group outing in the most social seating space at Rogers Place. There are 52 extra cushioned 22" seats in this private space, plus all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic drink options. Also, 2 free alcoholic drinks are included per person. Last but not least, in-seat wait service makes this option even more sweet! And being right in the middle of Sky Lounge, which turns into a night club after the game, isn't too bad either. We do not have any inventory on TicketIQ, so you must go directly through the team or venue to purchase.

PCL Loge Seating

The Loge Level at Rogers Place offers the best views in the entire arena. Wrapped around the 2nd level of the arena, the loge level includes sections with " 4 seats at a semi-circular table with cushioned barstools or at a 10” ledge counter with cushioned swivel armchairs." There are three tiers of loge seating and you'll always feel as if you're on top of the action. There is in-seat wait service, top tier food & beverage options, and a private concourse included with tickets in this seating space. We currently do not have any inventory available on TicketIQ, so you must go directly through the team or venue.

Summit Suite

The Summit Suite at Rogers Place is the pinnacle in luxury and exclusivity. Propped directly above center ice, this spacious suite includes a lounge area, 16 barstool seats with great views of the ice, and a huge dining table. Here you can combine dinner, drinks, and game time in style. Plans include a private bartender, three course meal, and a jersey for each guest. The lounge space includes a wide Hi-Def TV, a wrap around couch, and much more! Go directly through the team or venue to inquire about booking the Summit Suite for your preferred game.

Club Seats at Rogers Place are the best option for anyone looking to go premium on a budget. Sections 101-104 and 118-121 at mid ice on the mezzanine level comprise the club seating space. All of these seats are within 25 seats of the ice and come with some of the best views possible. These ticket holders have access to 1 of 2 Mezzanine Clubs,  depending on which side they're on. These club lounges have private restrooms as well as elite food/beverage options. Plus, all club ticket holders will receive the perk of in-seat beverage service. We do have available inventory on TicketIQ, and tickets for most games start anywhere from $200-300.

O-Zone Seats

The O-Zone Seats at Rogers Place act as an extension of the Club Seating on the Mezzanine Level, but only for the most committed Hockey fan. Located in the corner where the Oilers shoot twice, these seats are few in number and are often viewed as an unofficial fan zone. All ticket holders have access to the Mezzanine Clubs, as well as the private bar directly behind the O-Zone space. We have some inventory on TicketIQ for most games, but definitely shop around when looking at O-Zone seat tickets.

The Sky Lounge at Rogers Place offers the most exciting atmosphere in all of Hockey. Located on the arena's Upper East Corner, this premium space functions as a club space throughout the game and an upscale night club afterwards. Additionally, fans in this space will receive in-seat beverage service and all-inclusive food & drink. We do have some available inventory on TicketIQ, but you may find more supply by going directly through the team or venue.

Sportsnet Club 

The Sportsnet Club at Rogers Place is located directly below the Sky Lounge seating space. Like the Sky Lounge, fans have great views of the Oilers on offense. Also, all-inclusive food and beverage is included, as well as in-seat beverage service. The SN Club, which all ticket holders in these sections have access to, includes a beautiful full service bar and lounge space. There is barstool seating within the club itself and tons of TV's to catch the action from around the NHL. We do have available inventory on TicketIQ, although you may find the best deals by going through the team or venue directly.

Chairman's Club

The Chairman's Club at Rogers Place is ultra exclusive. Only limited to around 30 memberships, this premium space is really for the most committed season ticket holders. Located at Ice Level directly outside the Oilers locker room, this club has a beautiful full-service bar, a private chef that cooks up gourmet cuisine, dining tables, and more. Fans have great views of players entering and exiting the ice, which is the coolest aspect of this club. Take a virtual tour HERE . Theatre Boxes

Theatre Boxes at Rogers Place are a great way to enjoy the game in private with a small group. Located directly above the lower bowl, these tiny premium spaces each contain arm chairs and super comfy barstools. Each box is curtained off and offers direct access to a private lounge for all theatre box ticket holders. This private lounge includes meal service and a full service bar. Maggie Rogers Adds Fall 2024 Tour Dates

Maggie Rogers has announced the second part of her Don’t Forget Me Tour . The second leg takes place in October and November. See all of Rogers’ tour dates below.

Tickets to a handful of Rogers’ shows are available exclusively in-person at box offices. She explained in a press statement:

On the last album, Surrender , I decided to go old school and sell tickets in-person in an effort to reduce fees, combat bots, and get tickets directly into the hands of fans. That process was so fun; this year, I’m hosting “Box Office Week,” where I’ve set some special prices for fans who want to come purchase tickets in person. Here’s how it’s going to work… from April 13th to April 20th, in every city where I’m playing an arena this fall, you can go to the local box office to choose your seats and buy your ticket for a special in-person price. You can find all the exact information for your city HERE . In NYC, Philly, Boston, and Chicago, I’m going to be in person selling tickets directly to you at the box office. After the box office day festivities, I’ll be playing a show that very same night in those four cities where me and my band will perform Don’t Forget Me for the very first time.

Rogers’ new album, Don’t Forget Me , is out tomorrow, Friday, April 12.

Maggie Rogers on ‘Don’t Forget Me,’ the album she wrote for a Sunday drive

NEW YORK (AP) — Maggie Rogers wrote and recorded her new album, “Don’t Forget Me,” over five days last winter. The songs came quickly and chronologically, as if she was writing “different scenes in a movie.”

“I’ve been writing songs now for 15 years, and so I think I’ve just come into this place where I really trust my process and my craft. I think because of that, I was in a place where I was willing to just play,” Rogers said in a Zoom interview ahead of the album’s release.

The result is a record that Rogers calls “relaxed,” one that finds her “unguarded and present.”

The mood is lighter than Rogers’ electric 2022 album “Surrender,” which was in many ways a release of pent-up pandemic energy — a collection of songs that begged to be experienced live and with a crowd. And it leans more heavily on acoustic sounds than 2019’s “Heard it in a Past Life,” the first album Rogers released after a video of Pharrell Williams reacting to her song, “Alaska,” in a New York University class went viral.

As Rogers explains it : If “Heard it in a Past Life” is air and “Surrender” is fire, “Don’t Forget Me” is earth.

Like her past projects — and her studies at Harvard’s Divinity School — community is a through-line of “Don’t Forget Me.” Rogers name-drops friends and tells their stories alongside hers. She has welcomed the way the new songs have united crowds, and looks forward to continuing to foster that joyous, present, environment on tour.

“I’m excited to be able to meet people in it,” she said, referencing the album’s Friday release.

That community-first quality of her music is something that fans, too, embrace: New York’s Gaia Music Collective, for example, organized a “one-day choir” of Rogers’ song “Light On.” Four hundred people gathered to learn and perform an arrangement of the song, a cappella.

“She also is thinking about music as a connective force, as a thing that can bring us and our stories together,” said Matt Goldstein, the group’s founder and co-director. “It’s no accident that her music feels good to sing together.”

This interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

AP: “Surrender” felt like an album that had to be moved through and experienced with a crowd. How do you see this album being embodied?

Rogers: This record was always made for the car. I really wanted to make a record that felt like a Sunday driving record, because to me, those are some of the most intimate moments that I’ve had with music or with an album — when I’m singing along to a song in the car and it feels like that artist or that song is like a friend in my passenger seat. Those are some of my favorite records, and they’re the records I turn to for comfort over and over again. And you know, in this big, crazy, completely insane, existential, world, if that’s something that I could offer to the world through my music, I think that that is really special.

AP: Could you say more about how you see your three studio albums in relation to each other? I liked how you described each of them as elements — air, fire, earth.

Rogers: I think categorizing them in that way is just a way to help give context to them. To me, they’re all really important reflections on different periods in my life. And my songwriting is pretty consistent at the center of all these things. It’s mostly the way that like my producer brain has chosen to dress up the songs at their core, and that has more to do with creative expression or curiosity more than anything.

In each record, I’m just trying to be as present and authentic as I can. “Don’t Forget Me,” what I love about it, is that it’s this really, like kind of woven tapestry. Like in so many ways I created a character that sort of led me through this album, rather than trying to make a snapshot of my life in the exact moment. But there are real truths woven into that character and into those stories.

And you know, it comes out two weeks before I turn 30 and in a way it feels like this big ode to my 20s and everything I’ve experienced. Even if the narrative plot line isn’t exactly 1:1 with my life, the essence of all of the feelings within all of the songs feels really, really truthful.

AP: Looking ahead, what do you think you learned after putting what you had studied at Harvard into practice while touring last year?

Rogers: It’s funny because I spend all this time thinking about live music and the way people come together around it, and I had this thought that when I got on stage that it would be like, you know, that meme of the woman with the math problem above her head? I was like, that’s going to be me. And then I got on stage. And what I love about being on stage is that I’m not thinking, I’m just moving. I’m just feeling. It’s like deeply instinctual.

When I think about the tour that I’ll be on for the next year, I think I’m mostly just really excited to have fun. Like, I’ve worked for so many years and been in so many bands, whether it was like at some underground club in New York City or being 18 and playing in bars or being on the road in a van at the beginning of my career, that now I feel really comfortable on stage and I love playing live. I’m so happy that live music is back in this way.

AP: You posted a video around the holidays about a journal entry you found from the end of your time at NYU.

Rogers: So trippy.

AP: How does that kind of reflective writing fit into your daily practice and songwriting now?

Rogers: It’s such a massive part of my life. I mean, I write every day. I kind of can’t sleep without it. It’s usually the last thing I do at the end of the day. And it, like, really is a meditation.

I wrote a ton through grad school and have continued working on essays and I’m turning my master’s thesis into a book. My long form writing practice feels as much a part of my life as my short form songwriting practice, and it helps me to stay really present in my life because I’m paying attention to detail all the time.

AP: You said that writing this album felt like writing scenes from a movie. Do you look to films for inspiration when you’re developing a storyline and character like this?

Rogers: No, I mean, the movies that I love often have a strong female lead — like, “10 Things I Hate About You” was a really big, big part of “Surrender.” And “Thelma and Louise” was a big part of this record. I don’t know — maybe it makes me a basic b—, but, like, I’m a lover of a Meg Ryan rom-com, or a Julia Roberts movie. But that’s just what I like. That to me has the same sense of comfort as the album that is the passenger in the passenger seat that you’re singing along to in your car — they hold the same space for me.

A total solar eclipse will turn afternoon skies dark from Texas to Maine on Monday.

During the eclipse, the moon will cross between the Earth and the sun, completely blocking out the sun's light. If you're in the moon's shadow, the sky will go dark for about three to four minutes, depending on your location.

It's the climax of a cosmic dance between our planet , the moon, and the sun.

What causes a total solar eclipse

During a total solar eclipse, three key conditions happen at the same time: The moon is in the "new moon" phase; the moon crosses the plane of the Earth's orbit ; and the moon is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit.

When those conditions are just right, the Earth, sun, and moon line up. This diagram shows how that looks:

Then, if you're in the path of totality — which is basically the center of the moon's shadow, called the umbra — the moon appears to obscure the sun.

If you're in the penumbra — the outer region of the moon's shadow — you'll see a partial solar eclipse , where the moon appears to partially overlap the sun.

A total solar eclipse happens somewhere on Earth about every 18 months on average. It's rare for one to occur in any single place, though, because of the complex movements of the Earth and moon.

The moon orbits Earth every 29.5 days, while Earth has its own orbit around the sun. The moon's orbit is tilted about five degrees, which is large enough to keep its shadow off the Earth and the Earth's shadow off the moon most of the time.

There are two points — called nodes — where the moon's orbit crosses the Earth's plane. In the diagram above, the moon is lined up on a node.

The moon aligns with the nodes and the sun about twice per year, which is how we get eclipses. A solar eclipse happens when the moon is between the Earth and sun. A lunar eclipse happens when the moon is on the other side of the Earth, farthest from the sun.

What the total solar eclipse will look like

In the path of totality on Monday, where the moon's umbra falls over Earth, the total solar eclipse will have 10 distinct phases , each with different amounts of the sun visible from the ground.

The phenomenon kicks off with what's called first contact, when the moon starts to pass across the sun. After about an hour, the moon will almost completely mask the sun, and you'll start to see a bright light radiate out of the sliver of remaining sun, known as the "diamond ring."

Then the moon will fully eclipse the sun, turning the sky dark in the middle of the day.

During totality only the sun's outermost atmosphere, called the corona, will be visible glowing around the dark disc of the moon.

After that, the moon will continue to travel across the sky to form another crescent. The eclipse ends when the moon ceases to cover the sun.

Types of solar eclipses

There are three types of solar eclipses .

Total solar eclipses, like this one, occur when the moon appears to completely cover the sun. If the moon only somewhat covers the sun, that's a partial eclipse . Many people who are near the path of totality, but not in it, on Monday will see a partial eclipse.

The third type, an annular eclipse , occurs when the moon is too far from Earth to fully block out the sun from our perspective. The outer edge of the sun remains visible as a bright ring around the moon.

A total solar eclipse is considered the most spectacular. Globally, only about a third of all solar eclipses are total.

The next total solar eclipse in the contiguous US will be in 2044.

How to watch the eclipse

If you plan to watch the eclipse, make sure you are wearing ISO-certified eclipse glasses . These are 1,000 times darker than regular sunglasses. Without them, staring at the sun could damage your eyes.

The only safe time to look at the eclipse without glasses is during totality.

Following the success of Maggie Rogers ’ in-person ticketing program for her tour last year, she’s going even bigger in 2024. Being a caddie at the Masters is an entirely different experience than doing the job anywhere else — just ask Ken Martin.

"Caddies are treated really great at Augusta," said Martin, who caddied for Scottish golfer Sandy Lyle at the major tournament last year. "We had our own locker room. They feed us just wonderful food — the best food I've ever had really. But it's a long week. You have to be fit to get around that hilly course."

Some of the biggest names in professional golf, including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, will converge on the famously hilly course Thursday to compete in the 2024 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Golfers are playing for a multimillion dollar cash prize and the chance to don the coveted green jacket for a year.

Much of this year's attention will be on the cash prize the winning golfer will receive at this year's tournament. The purse for the 2023 Masters totaled $18 million, which was $3 million more than the purse the year before — the largest year-over-year increase in tournament history. Of that total, 2023 winner Jon Rahm took home $3.24 million .

But players aren't the only ones in line for a big payout. The winner's caddie can easily go home with a six-figure paycheck after four days of work. But snagging the four-day gig is the culmination of years spent working one-on-one with the same professional golfer, Martin said. 

Caddies develop a strong friendship with a golfer long before it's time for an elite competition like the Masters, Martin said. Fans seated in the stands, as well those watching at home, can only see the caddie handing the player a club, but in reality, there's a constant back-and-forth communication taking place between golfer and caddie during commercial breaks and while the two are walking to the next hole, he explained. Martin, who played professionally from 1982 to 2015, now teaches the sport at Keiser University in Florida. 

Aside from carrying the heavy bag, the caddie also provides input on which club to use, as well as swing technique, Martin said. That's because most caddies working PGA Tour games  are former professional players with a wealth of knowledge on the game. 

But technique is only a small part of the exchange, he added. With a strong camaraderie forged over the years, it's very likely the two spend most of time chatting like old friends, he said. 

"It's boring to talk about only golf for four to six hours," Martin said. "You're out there for a long time together so the friendship part of it plays a larger role." 

How much do caddies make at the Masters?

Caddies like Martin earn a salary from two sources during the Masters. One part is a weekly wage between $2,000 and $4,000 depending on the caddie's experience, the Association of Professional Caddies and the Caddies Network told CBS MoneyWatch. The weekly wage helps caddies recoup financially because they're required to pay their own travel to Georgia, along with hotel and food while working the tournament. 

Caddies also get a percentage of whatever their player earns after the tournament ends. The caddie of the Master's winner will get 10% of the prize money. For context, Jon Rahm won the Masters' last year and got $3.24 million. 

The caddie for the runner up at the Masters will get 7% of that player's prize winnings; every caddie after that will get 5%. 

Caddies Network CEO John von Stade told CBS MoneyWatch there are rare occasions when a caddie has a private contract with the player, in which case that person's salary will not follow the traditional setup. 

Over the past five years, caddie have seen some positive changes. PGA Tour officials have increased caddies' weekly wages and players' prize money has also climbed — potentially giving caddies a chance to bring home six figures after a tournament.

"But what hasn't changed is, if your player doesn't make the cut, there is no other source of money other than the weekly fee," von Stade said.

Maggie Rogers Announces North American Arena Tour Dates

Maggie Rogers is heading back on the road, this time in arenas.

The star announced on Thursday (April 11) her first-ever arena tour, dubbed the Don't Forget Me Tour Part II, to celebrate the release of her third studio album, Don't Forget Me . The Live Nation-produced outing will kick off on Oct. 9 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, before it hits cities like Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Chicago, Seattle and more before wrapping up on November 2 in Los Angeles, Calif. Ryan Beatty will join Rogers as the opening act on her fall tour dates.

The previously announced first leg of the Don't Forget Me Tour kicks off May 23 in San Diego, Calif., and wraps in Miami, Fla., on June 22. The Japanese House is slated as the supporting act.

In addition to the arena tour, Rogers also announced Box Office Week, which will include pop-up events and special shows taking place over the course of the week at intimate venues in four U.S. cities. Additionally, Rogers will continue her commitment of in-person ticketing from April 13 to 20, where fans can go to the box office of any arena she's playing at and buy tickets for $25 with no added fees. At her pop-up events, she'll be selling the tickets herself.

"On the last album,  Surrender , I decided to go old school and sell tickets in-person in an effort to reduce fees, combat bots and get tickets directly into the hands of fans," the singer explained in a press statement. "That process was so fun, this year I'm hosting ‘Box Office Week,' where I've set some special prices for fans who want to come purchase tickets in person."
