Ka'anapali Skyline Adventure

The Kaanapali Skyline Adventure, located on Maui, Hawaii is an incredible eight zipline adventure that is conveniently located just minutes from Maui’s popular Kaanapali Resort area. This tour meets at our Kaanapali retail location, which is just outside Maui's historic Lahaina town and the hotel areas of Kaanapali, Kahana, and Kapalua. Guests are shuttled from Skyline's retail store into the rugged valleys of Mount Kahalawai (the West Maui Mountains), via one of Skyline's exciting off-road vehicles. From the tour site guests have sweeping views of West Maui, Molokai, and Lanai, and the Pacific Ocean creates the perfect backdrop for each of the Kaanapali zipline crossings. Zipping high above a mountain stream, and over two different valleys, visitors experience the excitement of seeing an otherwise inaccessible area of Hawaii and soaring high above it! A delicious breakfast or lunch is served on the edge of a 1000 ft. valley overlook, providing vistas of disarming beauty. The Best Maui Zipline Tours

Skyline Hawaii is one of several companies that offers zip line adventures in Maui.

The rugged mountains, lush forests, deep valleys and verdant plantations of Maui make it a destination for everyone from experienced zip line aficionados to newcomers to the activity. Factoring in both traveler sentiment and expert opinion, U.S. News determined that the following tours are the best available to make the most of your airborne adventure.

Keep in mind that zip line tours have age and weight restrictions, which can vary from one company to the next. These tours are not recommended for anyone who's pregnant. You will also want to (or may be required to) wear closed-toed shoes.

Skyline Hawaii – Haleakala 5-Line Zip Line Tour

Price: From $139.95 Duration: 1.5 hours

Five zip lines that feature 90-foot drops and 45 mph speeds are two standouts on this tour outside Haleakala . Its guides win enthusiastic praise for their adept assistance, knowledge and good humor. The scenery also garners rave reviews.

Tickets for this approximately 90-minute activity cost around $140 per person ages 8 and older. Tours are generally available up to three times daily, but exact times and days vary by the month. Skyline Hawaii offers a sunrise and zip line combo tour of Haleakala.

Maui Zipline – 5 Line Tropical Adventure

Price: From $149 Duration: 1.5 hours

This zip line adventure is ideal if you're traveling with young children – kids as young as 5 years old are permitted to ride. What's more, all of the zip lines are positioned side by side, allowing kids and adults to ride in tandem. Each of the five zip lines range from 300 to 900 feet long. The family-oriented outing begins with a scenic walk before reaching an observation deck that provides views of mountains, Haleakala and the island's coast. Along the way, guides provide commentary about the region and its culture, which participants tend to find both amusing and informative.

Tours, which last approximately 90 minutes, are available Monday to Saturday at 10 a.m. and 12:30 and 3 p.m. Tickets cost approximately $150 per person, but if a member of a group wishes to wander the grounds of the plantation without using the zip lines, they are welcome to do so for free.

NorthShore Zipline Co – Seven Zipline Adventure

Price: Adults from $139; kids from $109 Duration: 2 hours

The zip lines, towers, platforms and suspension bridges on this North Shore tour boast ocean views. Speeds on the lines, including one that extends 900 feet, can reach 40 mph. Tour-takers routinely describe the guides as patient, reassuring and entertaining. An added bonus for veterans and history buffs: The course is located on land that was once part of Camp Maui, the former headquarters for the U.S. 4th Marine Division during World War II. Related memorabilia and vehicles can be viewed on-site.

Tours have several morning and afternoon start times every day except Sunday. Tickets for the approximately two-hour tours start at $139 for adults and $109 for kids 5 to 12. (There's a "Scaredy-Cat" refund offered to anyone who does not want to continue after the first two lines.)

Jungle Zipline Maui – 8 Lines Zipline Eco Tour

Price: From $148 Duration: 2 hours

Calling all adrenaline junkies! This eight-line zip line course features a tree-to-tree suspension bridge and two swinging bridges, as well as an optional free-fall ride. Tours occur every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. Tour-takers enjoy both the valley views and the friendly, knowledgeable and safety-committed staff.

The ticket price – which starts at $148 for all participants ages 6 and older – covers the two-hour tour, as well as snacks and beverages. Groups are usually limited to 10 people, but larger parties can be accommodated on request. Jungle Zipline Maui also offers a five-line version of the tour.

• This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
• If less than 4 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
• Children 8 years old and above can participate in this activity.
• Guests should not have serious fear of heights (acrophobia).
• Each participant MUST weigh between 60 lbs (27 kg) and 260 lbs (118 kg). Please provide accurate body weights during booking as you will be weighed at check-in. Misrepresentation of body weight will result in denial of service without a refund.
• Guests MUST be physically able to hike ½ mile at elevation and over uneven terrain.
• Guests MUST be 8 years or older (6 years and older for the Hiking Tour). All guests under 18 must have a responsible adult sign for them.
• Not recommended for those who have had recent surgery or with serious back or joint problems.
• Guests who have scuba dived within the last 24 hours should not ascend Haleakala due to the high risk of decompression sickness.

Zipping through the back country of Haleakala was a great day away from the beaches, in beautiful Maui!

Nothing more beautiful and I have ziplined a few places, the mountain feels and a day away from the beach is so beautiful

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE TOUR

Orientation. It all begins at Sky Tours check-in where you’ll meet up with your guides for introductions and equipment orientation. You’ll then suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety while your highly trained and certified guides tell you what to expect and how to safely navigate the course. Then, after a short hike to the first zipline take-off point, you'll clip in and fly away!

Zip 1: Bunny Run. With Bunny Run, you’ll gain your “zipping legs” flying over a timbered deep ravine at the westernmost edge of our course.

Zip 2: Rabbit Run. After another land take-off, you’ll soar over this beautiful and secluded valley before landing on the opposing hillside.

A short nature walk through the forested grounds takes you to the next challenge: Lookout Tower.  Lookout Tower literally towers over the valley floor. At 45-feet, it serves as both landing platform (for Skyline ) and take-off point (for Hawk's Nest ). It also offers a 360° view of Union Park’s Horseshoe Hollow.

Zip 3: Skyline. A takeoff from a hillside platform launches you toward Lookout Tower. At the end of your 400-foot land-to-tower flight, you arrive atop Lookout Tower with a magnificent panoramic view of Horseshoe Hollow (the valley below), the Union Park amphitheater ruins, bluffs, hillsides, and a bubbling creek that meanders through the valley. But even after a safe landing, there’s no disembarking … because at 45 feet above ground level, there’s nowhere to go! It’s time for your next departure:

Zip 4: Hawk’s Nest. Platform to land, you’ll literally step off into thin air as you return to solid ground atop a bluff area.

After a safe landing,  be on the lookout for Cooper’s Hawks ; there’s a nest overhead, about 25 feet above your landing point. Here’s what to watch for:

Zip 5: Air Strike. Air Strike may be the most tightly designed zipline, threading its line through lush and dense vegetation. This line zips over the basin that housed the former bowling alley of Union Park, inspiring its name: “Air Strike.”

Zip 6: Ground Speed. The zipline nearest to ground level, it seems to hug the surrounding terrain, paralleling its drop in elevation as you zip from a hillside launch through the trees, then along the valley floor at speeds — well — they're fast! Then, finally landing on the far end of this eastern valley after another smooth ride!

Another short hike along a long-abandoned, paved promenade, this time gaining some serious elevation. A hillside staircase. Terraced areas that once surrounded a thriving bandstand. Deer trails. And maybe a great-horned owl amid the trees' higher branches . Here’s what to watch for:

At the end of this climbing trek, you’ll be ready for your next adventure: The Duel.

Zip 7: The Duel. Fast! Fierce! Fantastically fun! This double zipline is more than 800 feet in length ... almost three football fields placed end to end! These side-by-side zips scream down the hillside, then skim the valley floor — gliding over the ruins of the massive Union Park pool — before touching down on the valley’s opposing hillside. 

Zip 8: Cross Country.  Crossing over Union Park's main valley, this wild ride is the Midwest's first double-layered zipline experience. After a hillside launch, you'll pass directly over  The Duel , our signature side-by-side zipline, before landing on the opposite hillside of Horshoe Hollow.

Zip 9: Over the Top.  The Big One! High, fast, and visual, an elevated take-off deck launches you through a tree corridor before exploding over Horseshoe Hollow and zipping 75 feet above gorgeous terrain and the former glory of Union Park.

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).
