"Beatriz was a fantastic guide. Her knowledge of the city combined with her knowledge of history was amazing. She answered all of our questions, regardless of whether they pertained to the tour or not. She gave us great tips on things to see while we were in Madrid. We had so much fun with her that we instantly booked another tour with her for the next day. We will be using her again next time we are in Madrid."

A private tour is a personalized and exclusive experience tailored to the preferences and interests of a single group or individual. Unlike group tours, private tours offer flexibility in the itinerary, allowing participants to focus on specific attractions or themes of their choice.
Customizing your private tour is easy. You can communicate your preferences, interests, and any specific landmarks or neighborhoods you’d like to visit to the tour operator or guide in advance. Whether you’re interested in architecture, history, art, or local cuisine, the tour can be adapted to suit your desires.
Our Private tours provide top-of-the-line vehicles such as luxury cars, vans, or even chauffeured limousines, depending on the size of your group. The choice of vehicle can add to the comfort and style of your touring experience.
The duration of a private tour can vary based on your preferences and the attractions you wish to visit. Tours can range from a few hours to a full day, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of the city.
Yes, private tours come with knowledgeable and professional guides who are well-versed in the history, culture, and architecture of Madrid. Guides can speak multiple languages, ensuring that participants can fully engage with the tour.
Absolutely! Private tours are designed to be flexible, allowing you to include specific themes like architectural exploration, culinary experiences, or even a combination of both. Your interests shape the itinerary.
Private tours are family-friendly, and special considerations can be made for children. Guides can adapt the content to make it engaging for younger participants, and family-oriented activities or attractions can be included.
In case of unexpected changes, communication is a must, and we offer flexibility depending on the circumstances.

Our tour of Madrid was an unforgettable experience. From the iconic Oso y el Madroño, we explored the city's history and cultural treasures. Mariña's expertise brought landmarks like the grand palace and the breathtaking opera house to life. Her captivating storytelling immersed us in Madrid's past. We enjoyed a visit to a hidden gem—a quaint taverna tucked away in a picturesque corner. It provided a perfect place to relax and savor local flavors. The tour also included a visit to the Museo de Historia de Madrid, deepening our understanding of the city's heritage. This must-do tour combined rich insights, well-chosen locations, and hidden gems. Thanks to Mariña, we left with a newfound appreciation for Madrid and an eagerness to explore more.
Ange & Kevin T
Great tour. Very informative and fun. Our guide Gonzala even stopped by a market stand and ordered us mulled wine in a souvenir mug with a sweet treat to enjoy along the journey. We learned so much about this great city. He knew all the best photo locations.
December 2023
Thanks Patricia for such a fun and memorable tour of Madrid - you've expanded the charm and beauty of Madrid! We had a great day full of laughter and inpiring stories of what makes Madrid the ciry that it is today. You're very knowledgeable and informative about the history and made us love the story of Madrid as a city. We explored various plazas (each with its own charm), wondered at the Royal Palace and Cathedral, heard the history of shops that have been around for centuries, seen the significance of buildings throughout the city, and got good recommendations for good food and experiences to explore further. Thanks for a great day! Would highly recommend for a day filled with happy memories and knowledge about what makes Madrid beautiful as it is.
Our guide Gonzalo made this visit wonderful. We had mulled wine and delicious sweet treat along the way. He gave us many recommendations for dining and museums. He knew all the best photo locations. Well done.

Being a guide for me is more than a job; Being able to show the culture, history and art of this country is something that I am passionate about, being the bridge between my country and the people who visit it. I discovered this profession almost ten years ago and since then I know that my future is here.
José enrique A.
Hello everyone!!! My name is José and I'm official Tour Guide in Spain!!! I was born and raised in Madrid and I really love my city, I would like you to join me in a tour around the Medieval Madrid,. a spot really unknown even for the citizens of my town which was the core of Madrid!!! You will not regret the experience. You will also have the chance of getting to know other places of my beautiful hometown and the surrounding areas of Madrid, such as Alcalá de Henares (World Heritage by the UNESCO), San Lorenzo del Escorial and Aranjuez.
I am a tour guide with licence and I have a Van with capacity for seven people with public licence. I can offer tours in Madrid, Toledo, Avila and Segovia how a driver- guide.
I have been guiding for the last 16 years, I am a historian and an official Madrid guide, so having the opotunity to guide has been a great luck for me. I am a proud Madrileño and I will be real happy if I have the chance to take you around my great city, which is filled with History, Monuments and great vibe!! New madrid tour guides.
Alejandro J.
I consider myself a friendly and positive person who treats my tours with great fervour and passion. i am a professional in the field of art and archaeology. i have been passionately working as a tour guide for years. i am in contact with all cultures. originally, i am from madrid and i would prepare amazing tours related to castles, history, palaces, artistic and hydraulic gardens, gastronomy and symbolic cultural elements of spain. .
I am a professional with more than 20 years of experience as an Official Tourist Guide. My mission? I want to discover you the province of Guadalajara, Alcalá de Henares and Madrid as I feel them, enjoying and having fun yourself at same time that you are learning. Personalized services adapting to your needs, facilitating you such as transportation, tickets (skip the line), restaurants or even audio-guide if you require it. I prefer to practice quiet tourism and avoid crowds in a society where it seems that the important thing is the photo and not the experience. I only want one thing at the end of your visit when you leave, that you are satisfied with your experience. I will only ask you one thing, that when you return to your home you are ambassador of these beautiful lands and, of course, come back
We count more than 10 years working in Madrid. We specialize in private tours in and around Madrid, such as Toledo, Segovia, Avila, El Escorial Monastery and Valley of the Fallen, etc.

Hello there, i'm ignacio, your guide to the vibrant tapestry of madrid's culture and history and nearby cities. i was born and raised right here in this captivating city, and it's not just my home; it's my heart and soul. my journey into the world of art and history began with a profound love for both. i hold degrees in fine arts and art history, and for the past ten years, i've had the privilege of being an official tour guide. through my work, i've had the pleasure of unlocking the treasures of the prado museum and its incredible collections, strolling through the enchanting streets of madrid, peeling back the layers of history in toledo, understanding the hidden meanings of modern art at the reina sofia museum and offering an exclusive glimpse into the grandeur of the royal palace. but my passion for art extends far beyond my professional life. i'm also a painter and photographer, and i infuse my tours with a unique artistic perspective. for fifteen years, i served as a creative director in the world of advertising, a role that allowed me to express my creativity in new and exciting ways. and then there's my love for horses. it's not just a hobby; it's a deep-rooted passion. i lead thrilling equestrian journeys through the breathtaking sierra de madrid, where the bond between man and horse takes center stage. across these mountains, i also may lead you into el escorial, avila, and segovia, where history, art, and nature meet. when you join me on a tour, you're not just exploring art and history; you're discovering it through the eyes of a true madrileño. my dedication, love, and intimate knowledge of my country ensure that your experience will be unforgettable. come, let me be your guide to the heart and soul of madrid, and nearby locations, where art, history, and passion come together in a way that's bound to leave a lasting impression. , popular madrid private tours.

Madrid Tour Reviews
Madrid Highlights 3 hours by car
“ Nice and relaxing tour! ”
His guiding was fun and interesting, his car was clean and comfortable. He took us to the places where we couldn’t have visited if we’d walked around on our own. We made the most of our time there. Thank you, Oscar.
Thank you for your review, I am happy knowing you have enjoyed
“ Wonderful unknown Medieval Madrid by Jos? ”
Dear José, thank you so much for this tour. My friends and I have been delighted with the tour and your interesting and amenable explanations. We had been to Madrid in the past and visited other more known sites like Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, even walked through some of the streets in today’s visit but were completely unaware of the rich history and legends hidden in buildings and streets. What a wonderful time travel from the foundation of the city to the fifteenth century and beyond. And so many artists, regular folks and royalty Interplaying. I am definitely talk to my friends about Las Vistillas, San Isidro, The Moorish and Christian walls and recommend you as their guide when they visit Madrid. We took plenty of pictures but would like to see yours as well. Best wishes and hope to engage with you on our next trip to Madrid.
Dear Abel, it has been a really amazing experience to show you this part of my city, thank you so much for this wonderful time we have spent. My best wishes for the future, if you feel in the mood to repeat don't hesitate to contact me. Greetings José
“ A wonderful ly informative and fun preparation to appreciate Guernica! ”
In just two hours Leire managed to use key pieces of art and here encyclopedic knowledge of the modern art movement to prepare us to view Picasso's Guernica thoughtfully. Having a better understanding of the movements of cubism, and surrealism helped place the work and its style in context. She also took time to introduce us to some lesser known works that were cutting edge for their time by artists who are just beginning to be more deeply studied. All 5 of us came to the tour with different backgrounds and she made each person feel appreciated for their perspective. I highly recommend Leire as a guide - it made the whole experience richer and we learned so much.
Thank you! It was a pleasure being with you, I felt very comfortable . I´m very happy that you enjoyed the tour. I hope to see your again!! thanks for everything!

Madrid & Beyond
Madrid is one of the world’s most vibrant and seductive cities. It is a city with a charming and infectious atmosphere that the visitor can immediately sense, feel a part of and enjoy. A city that takes unabashed pleasure in its past traditions, it is proud to display a wealth of cultural treasures and architectural glories. Each neighborhood has a flavor all its own and the city wonderfully juxtaposes its grandeur – elegant marble statues, spectacular fountains, the awe-inspiring Royal Palace – with lively bohemian districts, where funky restaurants and cafes are sprouting up between old established local favorites. It’s an exciting time for food lovers in the capital too, where you can choose between traditional cuisine and state-of-the-art cooking techniques, in both restaurants and tapas bars.
Most of the team is based in Madrid, and we are proud to have an incredible range of amazing collaborators, including outstanding art historians, bullfighting experts, sommeliers, an author of historical books about Madrid, top chefs, a professor of contemporary art, an award winning athlete who can go running with you before breakfast, an aristocrat who lives in an historic palace downtown, shopping guides, a well-known soccer insider who can bring alive a visit to Real Madrid, fabulous specialist guides and many more!
Nearby Toledo and Segovia are outstanding cities to visit either as a day excursion or for a short stay. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, Toledo is a thousand-year-old masterpiece created by various cultures including the Romans, Moors, Jews and Christians. The beautifully preserved buildings of this ancient town provide striking testimony of Toledo’s rich and colorful past. Although now completely overshadowed by Madrid, it is Toledo and it’s narrow, winding streets and steps, stone and brick houses and churches that embodies Spain’s past.
To the north of Madrid, Segovia is a World Heritage City, with unique monuments that alone make a visit well worthwhile. The Aqueduct of Segovia is the defining historical feature of the city, dating from the 2nd century, is regarded as the most important Roman civil engineering work in Spain but as you’ll discover with your guide, there is much more to the city than monuments. An old Jewish quarter, stately homes, outstanding views, authentic local restaurants and a healthy mountain air all make a visit to Segovia a memorable part of any trip. Heading further north of Madrid, the pristinely rural Ribera de Duero is home to some of the world’s best and most exclusive red wines.

OUR HAPPY CLIENTS SAY
We were amazed at how beautiful Madrid is. Our evening tapas tour was a memorable event in that our guide exposed us to several off the track non-tourist tapas places where she not only ordered interesting combinations of food but also explained what we were eating and how it fit into the local culture. We ended the evening with dessert and champagne at an outdoor cafe on the Plaza del Angel, talking about Spanish history and politics.
Glen and Lona, David, Lucy & Jack Trebour
Our excursion to Toledo with our guide was phenomenal. She was energetic and engaging with the kids. She had a lot of anecdotal stories the kids loved, and just knew how to capture their attention. She found many interesting things to do.
Hanna & Lee & family
Segovia was like visiting a fairytale town, absolutely gorgeous and our guide was the best. Her expertise brought Spanish history alive for us both in Segovia and Toledo. Toledo was the jewel in the crown and set a marvelous foundation for our travels to Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
Bunny and Bob Lenhard
The trips to the Bernabeu were extremely special to me. Both games we had excellent seats for viewing the action. Everything was taken care of, and my experience couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The VIP seats were amazing, and it was delightful to have those seats for the Trofeo Bernabeu match. Seeing Raul playing with Real Madrid live was essentially a dream come true for me, and it was a very emotional, and almost magical night.
Jenny Herstein
Toledo—Our guide was fabulous, absolutely fabulous. We loved the special USA connection and totally enjoyed our day with her. She was delightful and gave us a wonderful visit to Toledo.
Carrie Irvin and family
We are all still talking about the beautiful hotel in Madrid where our rooms were beautiful and the hotel was perfect for our needs.
Ennid Berger
Our guide really knew her history of Madrid, the beautiful buildings that populate it and the famous art living in its museums. Since we got to spend two days with her, we felt we really bonded with her. She was so gracious with us and she even encouraged us to move to Spain! She obviously loves what she does and she spent several more hours with us than I believe she was required.
Noah & Sharan Sevillia
The day trip from Madrid to Toledo was something we had initially debated but were so glad we included it. The small city is a gem.
We thought Madrid was beautiful, with one building more spectacular than the next.
We loved the city, and I LOVED the Ritz….Just a classic hotel, and the staff was so incredibly accommodating. What a perfect location, too, since it was next to the Prado….I am so glad that we stayed there. I definitely felt very cosmopolitan as we sat outside on their lovely terrace eating breakfast each morning. Our guide for the Madrid tour was absolutely great. He was very smart with a great sense of humor.

Where to watch the Madrid Open: Live stream the 2024 tennis tournament
When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more
The next stop on the ATP and WTA Tours has started, and this one takes players to the clay courts of Madrid. The tournament just kicked off earlier this week and will run until May 5. We've put together everything you need to know about the tournament, including where to watch the Madrid Open live streams.
Carlos Alcaraz holds the men's singles title for the 2022 and 2023 tournaments and is attempting to make history this year by winning his third Madrid Open in a row. 2024 has brought the tennis star some ups and downs. After winning Indian Wells and making it to the Miami Open quarterfinals, Alcaraz had to miss the Monte-Carlo Masters due to an arm injury. He returned to the court on Friday and won his match against Alexander Shevchenko.
Saturday's line-up features several big names for both the men's and women's tournaments. Top-ranked WTA player Iga Świątek will take on Sorana Cîrstea in one of the first matches of the morning. After, No. 2 ranked ATP player Jannik Sinner will play against Lorenzo Sonegoon. Coco Gauff and Casper Rudd are also scheduled to compete later in the day.
Whether you've been following the ATP and WTA Tours closely or you're just hoping to see if Alcaraz can pull off another victory, we've got you covered. Keep reading to see all of the watch options for the tournament, whether you have cable or you're looking for a live streaming alternative.

Where to watch Madrid Open in the US
As is the case with most of the major ATP Tour events, the Madrid Open will air live on the Tennis Channel in the US. For cord-cutters, this means it's time to check out a live TV streaming package like Sling TV and Hulu + Live TV.
When it comes to Sling TV , you'll need to select a base plan and add the Sports Extra option. Sling plans start at $40 a month, and the Sports Extra add-on (which carries the Tennis Channel) costs an additional $11 a month, so you'll be paying $51 a month in total.
Hulu + Live TV will be the more expensive option for you today, but it comes with regular Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ bundled in. Hulu + Live TV subscriptions start at $76.99, and you'll need to opt for the Sports Add-on for $9.99 a month to get the Tennis Channel. In total, you'll be paying $86.98 a month. The base Hulu + Live TV plan currently offers a three-day free trial, but this won't give you free access to the Sports Add-on.
Where to watch Madrid Open in New Zealand
Select Madrid Open women's matches will air on TVNZ in New Zealand starting Sunday, April 28. WTA Tour matches will be available to stream, including the round of 32, round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. You just need to create a free account to sign up.
How to watch Madrid Open from anywhere
If you'll be traveling outside the US for any must-see matches, you can still access your live TV subscriptions using a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are handy ways to temporarily alter your virtual location so that your devices can access websites and apps that might not be available in certain countries.
Since the live TV services we've recommended require US forms of payment, this suggestion is best for Americans who are simply away from home and hoping to use their existing subscriptions. Later in the tournament, you can set your VPN to New Zealand to access the TVNZ streams of select women's matches.
If you want to try out a VPN, our go-to recommendation is ExpressVPN . It's straightforward, beginner-friendly, and comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Looking to learn more? Check out our ExpressVPN review and keep reading to learn how to use it.
How to watch Madrid Open with a VPN
- Sign up for a VPN if you don't already have one.
- Install it on the device you're planning to watch on.
- Turn it on and set it to a US location.
- Sign up for one of the live TV streaming packages with a US form of payment.
- Select the Tennis Channel and enjoy the competition.
Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.

Introduction
Following our tradition, Schiller's Madrid campus has a privileged location in the heart of the cultural, social, and business area of Spain's capital. It is very close to the streets of Serrano, Goya, Jorge Juan, and La Castellana and a stone's throw from the Puerta de Alcalá and the Paseo del Prado, recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the first historic urban landscape declared in Europe.
The building has been equipped with the most modern facilities and technology. With over 3,000 square meters, it houses advanced learning spaces and provides the necessary conditions to achieve the level of quality and excellence demanded by Schiller International University's methodology, focused on experiential learning and digital educational technology.

All students must be legally residing in Spain. Remember that the Spanish police can and do ask you to identify yourself and to be able to demonstrate your right to be in Spain. Applying for a student visa to come and stay in Spain for longer than 90 days is usually a very standard process. You simply need to collect the required documents, head to the nearest consulate and submit the paperwork.
You can find more information about the visa application process for students in the Students Handbook, or you can contact us for general enquiries about visas at [email protected]

Transformative journey!
Schiller International University has been a transformative part of my journey. It not only provided me with a strong academic foundation but also shaped me as an individual. I'm grateful for the supportive community and the invaluable lessons I learned during my time at Schiller.
Hussain Ayoub
Amazing experience!
I already had family here in Germany and Schiller was the best choice for me. As a Schiller student, together with the education, living so close to campus was of great benefit. After class we can all go out and have coffee, lunch, or dinner together.
Madison Jefferis
Incredibly rewarding!
My experience of coming to the Schiller Heidelberg Campus and adapting to the local culture has been incredibly rewarding. Despite some challenges in the transition, being part of a smaller private university provided me with ample opportunities for personal and academic growth.
