Singer/Songwriter Ben Howard geht auf kleine Deutschland-Tour. Erfahre hier alles zu den Konzerten in Hamburg, Berlin und München und zum Ticket-Verkauf.

Mit seinem dreifach Platin-Debütalbum „Every Kingdom“ hat der britische Singer/Songwriter mit Sicherheit auch seine eigenen Erwartungen übertroffen. Doch trotz des seit 2011 anhaltenden Erfolgs sind die Alben von Ben Howard zunehmend düsterer geworden. Das mag zum einen am Älterwerden liegen, zum anderen daran, dass der Südengländer immer mehr eigenhändig produziert, seinen eigenen Sound – sowohl akustisch als auch elektronisch – entwickelt, und ihm dabei niemand „mehr gute Laune“ aufschwätzen kann.

Doch egal, ob h immelhoch jauchzend oder zu Tode betrübt, auf der Bühne gibt Ben Howard immer alles: Die Times  bezeichnete einen seiner – wenn auch raren – Auftritte zuletzt als „fesselnd, sogar transzendental“. Gerade aufgrund der Seltenheit seiner Liveshows, sind die drei angekündigten Konzerte in Berlin , Hamburg und München eine echte Überraschung. Daher ein kleiner Tipp unsererseits: Sei schnell – am 22. März beginnt der Presale und am 24. März startet der offizielle Vorverkauf. Since British musician Ben Howard released his triple platinum debut album, Every Kingdom back in 2011, much has changed.. Musically, Ben now operates largely in a world and sound of his own making, as adept with an acoustic as he is with the electronics that have peppered and punctuated his recordings across four distinctive chapters. A decade since that debut album was released, 2021’s fourth album, ‘Collections From The Whiteout’, debuted at #1 in the UK album chart (Ben’s second chart-topping record after 2014’s I Forget Where We Were), and as he puts the finishing touches to album five, it’s exciting to hear the next chapter and some new material from the stage. A gripping live performer, Ben and his expansive band have been described as ‘spellbinding, transcendental even’ by The Times. It’s a mesmerising, intense and powerful live show. Shittiest acoustics ever for Ben Howard repertoire. It is a pity cos Ben is really a talented artist and the essence of his music is in the sound that comes out of his instruments.The sound engineers should be ashamed of what they did.

Immer wieder unbeschreiblich

Ben ist und bleibt jemand der einfach ehrliche und gute Musik macht. Jeder der Musik lebt versteht, was ich meine. Ben muss man gesehen und erlebt haben! Ben ist ein Erlebnis und nur zu empfehlen. Ich war bereits mehrfach zu seinen Auftritten und werde immer wieder fahren, einfach mal eine Zeit lang herausholen lassen aus der Realität.

Super schönes Konzert!

Höre Bens Musik schon seit einigen Jahren und bin mega zufrieden gewesen mit dem Konzert. Vermutlich das Beste auf dem ich bisher gewesen bin. Wunderschöne Musik und tolle Atmosphäre. Die vielen negativen Kritiken kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wer einen krassen Entertainer erwartet, sollte vielleicht eher zu Taylor Swift oder so gehen.

Ben Howard announces 2023 UK and European tour

Including dates in Glasgow, London and Cardiff

Ben Howard has announced a 26-date live run which will take place across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The tour will kick off at La Riviera in Madrid on May 18, with two nights in Amsterdam in June and a stop at the Philarmonie de Paris on July 4. This marks the musician’s first European run in five years.

Following dates in Europe, Howard will head to Glasgow’s SWG3 on July 21, with a sold out date at Alexandra Palace Park, London on July 22. The tour wraps up at Cardiff Castle on July 23.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale from 10am local time on Friday, March 24. See full dates below and find tickets here .

The tour will see Howard presenting new material to fans for the first time, following the release of his fourth studio album ‘Collections From The Whiteout’ in 2021.

The show was amazing, as expected.

He could have played more well known songs, but I can't really complain because he had a couple of evenings at Brixton Academy, back to back, so I guess he did not want to repeat himself. :)

One annoying thing was the O2 customers being put in a different line and let if before the other participants at the event, which was a bit unfair. I mean if you are there for a couple of hours and you are the first in line, you will not get in first, but someone that is on the O2 network will, although he might have arrived 20 minutes before the doors open.

Overall, I love the venue, the acoustic pretty good in there and Ben Howard was over the top amazing.

I would recommend the venue and off course, if you get a chance to go see Ben, please do so.

Where do I start?

This gig was tough to review. Musically Ben Howard offers so much. So much emotion and storytelling through his exquisite lyrics, crafted compositions and atmospheric stage productions would normally mean that no complaint can be made against such a talent.

However, the gig failed to land with the audience. To sell-out 4 nights at Brixton academy is testament to Mr Howard. He deserves the stage, but I feel the setting of Brixton attracted the wrong crowd. There were too many "first album only" gig-goers that obviously haven't followed Mr Howard's musical journey including a return to front of the stage with this new album of material. Therefore they chatted throughout the light and shade of the journeying set list. In fact, the disrespect shown is probably more a reflection of the want and need of the crowd to satisfy their social media status than enjoy living in the moment.

That said, I was again surprised that Mr Howard didn't really give two f*cks! A brief "Hello" and minimal looks to the crowd further irritated them as he continued to look down on his audience. I did think that he is only up their because of the fans, so he could have played to them a little more. But I never found out, as rather than put up with the couple in front's own rendition of "Only love", I went home, shut myself in a darkened room and stuck his back catalogue on the record player.

Safe to say I will not be seeking out to see Ben Howard again. Well, not until his Spotify crowd educate themselves beyond his 'Popular' songs and he as an artist remembers who put him there in the first place!

One of my favorite artists of all time and a long and excited wait for the concert - which we traveled from Newcastle to Glasgow for.

There is no denying that Ben is a hugely talented artist and the performance he gave was almost a work of art with the combination of instruments and videos, however - it was not the performance the fans wanted! He came across as almost arrogant and not connected to the audience at all.

the SSE is a BIG venue and I came away exhausted due to the lack of energy - the new album is great but it's no Every Kingdom or I Forgot Where We Were.

when you see any artist you expect them to play a mix of all songs - we got the whole new album and 3 older songs - the last 15 minutes of the gig were the best by a mile.

I just feel lucky that I saw him perform in Newcastle years ago as this was to me the Ben Howard that I love to listen too.

Based on the performance I saw I would be reluctant to travel so far to see him again - however I would be fighting for tickets to see him perform an Every Kingdom show!

Ben Howard has shared a new single, “Life In The Time,” off his forthcoming album Is It? , which is being released on Friday, June 16 (Island Records). He notes the song is, “about the settling of disputes, friends buried in the hillside and drifting apart.”

On October 20, Howard will embark on his first North American tour in support of Is It? The dates kick off in Washington, DC and conclude in Los Angeles on November 15. Along the way he will stop in New York City for a show at The Beacon Theatre on October 24. Tickets are now available via The Artist Presale and public tickets go on sale Friday, June 9 at 10 am local. Ben is currently on tour in the UK and Europe and the dates include a sold-out show at London’s new Alexandra Palace Park on July 22.

To give fans the best chance to buy tickets at face value, the artist has requested tickets to this event be mobile only and restricted from transfer. If you purchase a ticket and can’t attend, you can list your ticket for sale at the price paid on Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. Exchange sellers must have a US or CAN bank account to accept payment.

‘Pearl Jam — Dark Matter’ To Hit Theaters For One Night Only

The states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place to protect ticket brokers by prohibiting artists from restricting resale to face value exchanges only. For shows in these states, or at venues that don’t offer restricted transfer, fans are strongly encouraged to only buy or sell tickets to one another at the price they paid.

Prior to today’s single, Ben Howard has also teased the LP with “Walking Backwards” and “Couldn’t Make It Up.” Ben Howard recently performed the single “Walking Backwards” in France for the La Blogothèque series.

Ben and his band recorded Is It? over 10 days in the Le Manoir de Léon studios, nestled between Bordeaux and Biarritz in the South of France. It was produced by Bullion (Westerman, Nilüfer Yanya, Orlando Weeks).
