Parvez Khan of Indian Journey is a talented tour organizer and thoughtful human being. Parvez arranged a five-person, 24-day trip that included Delhi, Rajasthan, Agra, Varanasi, and Kerala that was utterly delightful and seamless. Two couples and long time friends booked a trip starting in Goa, driving to Hampi, then flying to Madurai. We again had a driver and explored world heritage sites from Kancheepuram to the backwaters of Kerala. Hotels were excellent and importantly so were our driver who were experienced and spoke good English. Our agent was always available by phone and always helpful the few times needed. Trip could not have been better. Recommend without reservation.

From 2014 to 2018 I’ve done 3 tour in India Rajasthan, South India, Varanasi, Amritsar, and I’m going to have the fourth. I like India and I’m strictly joint with this country. I went in contact with Parvez and Indian Journey in a wonderful period I was in India to adopt my daughter and since then Parvez-Bahi was for me not only the best travel agent ever known but over all he was a brother an angel who protected me and my family and friends, in India.

We used Indian Journey this month for a Golden Triangle itinerary. Without a doubt, every driver, guide, and representative were top notch and immediately available via text, phone, or Whataspp (preferred).

Not once did we feel out of touch nor left questioning our itinerary. The guides were able to be a bit flexible with personal goals and priorities.

Excellent staff, prompt communication, flexibility, and guides. Just beware of the hard sell at the Cottage Industries mandatory handicraft/carpet shops.

Our third trip with Indian Journey was as memorable as ever. We have previously used Parvez (INDIAN JOURNEY) for touring Rajasthan and then a year later Amritsar, Shimla & Manali. All hotel bookings were good , Pawan our Driver was superb (we had him for 15 days in this last road trip). I have yet to come across a more decent and polite travel organisation in India, where the emphasis is on service and well being of the customer with very good prices.

This trip we did this time was Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and finally Udaipur. We stayed 2 nights at each location.

I would have no hesitation to recommend (and I have already sent a number of my friends in the UK Parvez’s details) INDIAN JOURNEY for organizing your next holiday.

If you want home away from home than you should get in touch with Indian Journey Mr Parvez Khan. I have used other service providers in India on my previous visits but no one came close to Indian Journey when it comes to your comfort and service. You will be treated as a family member of Indian Journey.

I have visited lots of places and the best thing is that as soon as you reach your Hotel to check in you will receive a call from Indian Journey to ask if the Hotel is to your liking and if not they arrange to transfer you to another Hotel with fulfills your needs and wants. I have visited India more than five times with young family and solo.There is no comparison in service and comfort with Indian Journey. It was a dream come true for my husband to drive a Tuk Tuk, while I languished in the back enjoying the incredible scenery. We loved everything we did and everyone we met. The hikes were a perfect length for us and the temples and villages we visited were fascinating, it was so lovely to experience rural Thailand after being in Bangkok. This trip is one of my top 5 experiences from all my travels in the world! We had our guide, Big, who was wonderful and did a fantastic job. We stayed in humble but wonderful accommodations with amazing views, food, and vibes. I was unable to drive a Tuk Tuk myself due to a short timeline with getting my international driver's license while overseas. However, I was in the back of Big’s Tuk Tuk and it was just as wonderful! I got to really take in the views, animals, and rural livelihoods. We stopped in just the right timeframes for bathroom and coffee breaks. The experiences and locations we were able to do within our you were fantastic and it didn't feel like we were spending our whole time “traveling” to destinations - which I appreciate. We got to know many of the business workers and owners of the establishments we visited or ate at. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The note or heads-up I would give to people is to expect some very firm beds. As a side sleeper, it was a bit difficult to sleep the whole night through and I had sore hips - other Tuk Tuk travels mentioned the same. I also experienced firm beds in Chiang Mai independent of this tour so I believe it’s more common in Thailand to have firm beds. I remedied this a little by using any bed duvets as pillow tops and had the sheets on top of me with no fan or higher AC temps. Oh! And bring bug spray and a rain jacket/windbreaker. They have some bottles of bug spray and ponchos but I felt that personal ones went a long way. Have a blast! I wish I had time to do the 11-day trip with an international driver’s license. I may be back sometime to do just that. 👏

Tour was great. Each day was a new adventure. I feel I got a good representation of Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. The hotels were good. The price of the tour is really unbeatable. If you did this same tour on your own, you'd probably end up paying close to the same amount but having to deal with all the logistic headache. I actually took a break from my three-month solo Asia journey to do this tour because I needed a break from googling! It was a great opportunity to see the entire country from far north to major cities to the beaches. Our first guide Ms Pond was amazing. She went way out of her way to help us experience all that we wanted to get out of Bangkok, even taking extra time to hang out at the markets. She was great!!!! A shout out also to Mr Air, the driver for the Northern sites. He was so kind and took obvious pride in being a driver. Ensuring we always had cold water and cold refreshing hand towels. Just finished this amazing tour. We have been looked after and guided throughout our journey by Prestigo Asia. Communication has been excellent - with frequent updates before the trip, to a detailed itinerary delivered two weeks before travel, and finally to live WhatsApp chat during the trip. It could not have been smoother. At every destination we had someone waiting for us with a smile. The timings given were kept to and we were able to be adaptive throughout. Local guides answered all questions and gave recommendations for places to eat, drink, shop and even get a massage!!! The trip is packed full of activities, but you do get lots of down time to relax and explore the cities you are in. The trip itself was thrilling. Bangkok a great base, with loads to explore. All hotels were central and of a good quality. Siem Riep was rewarding, and our guide was able to add The killing fields as well. Ankor Wat was amazing (as well as the other temples). Vietnam was not what we expected - it was a fun, modern and lively place. Ha Long Bay and the cruise was a highlight. Spectacular. Laos is a very relaxed country , clean and tidy - full of faith and family devotion. We decided to stay on in Thailand for an additional week ant the end of the tour and Prestigo Asia helped us add this smoothly with transport. They were extremely accommodating. We had a great experience, and our agent Jenny was great at communicating the next event, timing and needed information along our journey. The tours were all very good with good guides as well. My only recommendation for future travelers is that you request to review and approve the "local" flights before they are booked. Our only issue was one flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket, which required a lay over in Bangkok. Our flight didn't depart from Ho Chi Minh until 3 pm for an hour flight, then a 4.5 hour lay over, then a 1 hour flight to Phuket. So for 2 hours of flight time, we spent from noon until about 10 pm in airports. There were better options available. Jenny was helpful in trying to change the flights, but it just wasn't possible when we realized it within 4 days of departure. She was kind enough to cover transportation to and from a port in Phuket for an excursion we signed up for on our own.

Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs) are one of the most important distribution channels available to small tour or activity businesses.

Here’s what you need to know about how you can work with them.

What is the role of an ITO?

Before we get too carried away, let’s recap who these guys are and how they work.

ITOs – also known as ‘ground operators’ or ‘ destination management companies ‘ – are the local experts in a certain destination’s tourism products. They pick out ‘export-ready’ products that they promote overseas through other distributors.

Anyone from a travel agent to a meeting planner will come to an ITO with certain specifications. The ITO then plans the itinerary, selects the tourism products to include, and coordinates all reservations for accommodation, tours, transport and meals.

How can I get an ITO to consider my tours?

Because they have access to overseas markets , ITOs can be an extremely reliable source of bookings for niche tour operators. The hard part is making the cut so you get listed as an export-ready tourism product.

Ask yourself:

• Do you have an established product ie. one that has been operating successfully for at least 1 year?
• Is your product in demand in the market that the ITO targets?
• Are you offering good value for money?
• Is your product consistently delivered with a high level of quality and customer service?
• Does your product provide a unique experience?
• Do you have regular availability (daily tours or on at least 3 days per week, departing with a minimum of 2 people)

What do ITOs expect from you?

Be prepared with the following:

• An inbound commission rate sheet with concise terms and conditions. Know how the tourism distribution system works, especially when it comes to the commissions ITOs require.
• A plan for how you will respond to bookings, including when and how they will get paid (they expect a response to a booking enquiry within 24 hours – but this should not be a problem if your booking system allows them to log in and make a real-time booking).
• Marketing collateral such as brochures and images. If they operate in a non-English market , then it would be smart to provide collateral in that language.

You should also detail your policy on how to handle customer complaints . Even though it’s not something that comes up often, it will show you have thought everything through and are well-prepared.

1970s: daysaway travel ltd established.

Based in London, Daysaway Travel began as an incoming tour operator which specialised in student travelers from Scandinavia, Germany and America visiting the UK.

1979: Europe Incoming established as an off-shoot of Daysaway Travel Ltd

1980s: uma somia joins daysaway travel.

Daysaway Travel began to diversify into adult groups from France touring the UK – both for leisure travel and for incentive group travel – which then extended to Spain and Belgium.

1994: Voyages Daysaway established

Expansion into other European cities lead to the opening of Voyages Daysaway which specialised in incoming travel to France.

1996: Daysaway Travel changes name to Europe Incoming

The business had started to operate groups across Europe and the vision was to create a strong local presence, with offices throughout Europe offering the same high standard of service irrespective of location.

1997: EUROPE INCOMING's SCOTLAND OFFICE ESTABLISHED

Demand for other destinations grew and this saw the establishment of Europe Incoming Scotland. James Grieve spearheaded this office, armed with vast experience and knowledge in a niche market.

2001: Europe Incoming’s Italian office established

Due to growing demands from our customers, EI opened an office in Italy which is headed up by Lidia Boscariol.

2002 – present: Europe Incoming continues global expansion

EI begins to offer pan-European services to more long haul markets, such as America, the Middle East, and South America, while retaining an ethos of based on trust, reliability and exceptional customer service.

2010: FITbookings.com created

The FIT market was growing and to cater to these demands, Staffan Nilsson implemented our online booking portal which has since gained its own success for both offline and online bookings, worldwide.

2012 – present: Sales and operations offices expand, worldwide

Dylan Lall is responsible for spearheading multiple projects for the growth of the business, including expansion of operating and sales offices worldwide and numerous online marketing projects.

2013: Europe Incoming’s German sales & marketing office opens

Claudia Stimmel heads up our office in Germany.

2013: Europe Incoming’s Swiss office opens

2014: europe incoming’s indian sales & operations office opens.

Following increased demand in this key market, this office was initially led by Milind Salaskar with a team of just two. Within four years we now have 28 team members and India now contributes to over 35% of EI’s business portfolio.

We have been operating as an inbound tour operator in Australia since 2014 under the name of Inbound & Outbound Specialist Pty Ltd (iOS TOURS) and ID Travel Service Australia. In 2017, we started an outbound tour operation to Japan responding to our customers' requests and to expand our business.

Our service includes arranging accommodation, sightseeing tours, optional tours and transfers, and organising guides all over Australia and Japan. In order to support our customers, we have a wide customer service network and a 24 hour emergency contact number.

We can arrange and coordinate many different types of tours from FIT to Group tours, including honeymoon trips, family trips, company incentive tours, study tours, and SIT. Our specialty is organising SIT (Special Interest Tours) such as hospital technical visits. We have received highly positive feedback for these tours from our customers.
