Las maravillas de los mayas

Esta excursión fue INCREÍBLE. Daniel, nuestro guía, era un gran conocedor de todos los lugares mayas que visitamos. También hizo TODO EL TRABAJO de conseguir las entradas para que no tuviéramos que esperar largas colas. Por el camino, nos llevó a algunos restaurantes maravillosos y siempre deliciosos para comer. También nos aconsejó sobre buenos sitios para cenar en cada una de nuestras estancias en hoteles. Es más, nos aconsejó en varios lugares para comer en el hotel ya que al caminar hacia las zonas urbanas

Estas han sido unas de las mejores vacaciones en las que he estado. México era increíble, fue muy fácil tratar con Tour Radar, sobre todo porque las vacaciones originales se reservaron durante Covid, por lo que se pospusieron. El recorrido fue interesante, bien equilibrado, de modo que fue posible disfrutar también de forma independiente de todas y cada una de las ciudades en las que estuvimos. Lo único que me disgustó fue el hecho de que en la oferta sólo estaba incluido el desayuno americano. Así que no era posible elegir nada más, aunque la oferta del hotel era mucho mayor.

La Mística ruta maya: un viaje por la vibrante cultura y la belleza natural de México

La ruta y la duración de la excursión por el hermoso Chiapas fueron perfectas para nosotros. La combinación de naturaleza y cultura fue óptima. Die Hotels war bis auf eine Ausnahme (Palenque) gut, das Frühstück überall sehr gut. Der Comfort des Minibusses war ausbaufähig. Con un mayor tamaño, sólo hay una plaza de asiento, lo que es un problema, sobre todo en los tramos más largos y largos. Die Tourguides und Fahrer waren allesamt äußerst kompetent und freundlich. Insbesondere Hector und Francisco, die uns über mehrere Tage begleitet haben, haben die Reise zu etwas besonderem gemacht. Auch, weil sie uns bei gesundheitlichen Problemen beratschlagt haben. Am Ende der Reise konnten wir uns in Valladolid (statt Cancun) absetzen lassen, was unsere Weiterreise erleichtert hat.

Mi mujer y yo, junto con tres amigos, nos apuntamos al viaje a México de Indus Travel. El viaje total de 12 días a la Cultura Maya nos dio realmente la oportunidad de conocer a fondo las culturas indígenas de México. Hemos visto muchas ruinas y pirámides, cada una de ellas tiene representaciones diferentes y puede contar la historia de lo que ocurría en aquella época. También tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar a las familias indígenas para experimentar la verdadera vida de los mexicanos en la zona rural. Las vistas de los volcanes, pueblos y cañones también son inolvidables. Se trata de un grupo pequeño con un total de 7 turistas, nuestro conductor/guía turístico es un guía muy experimentado, José nos explicó la historia en secuencia de acontecimientos dentro y fuera. Sobre todo, con 2500 km de conducción, nos hizo sentir seguros con sus habilidades. En resumen, este viaje merece más de 5 estrellas. Me sorprendió mucho que Indus Travel asignara una coordinadora de viajes dedicada a nuestro grupo, Kathlene nos ayudó mucho a organizar todo el viaje, sus rápidas respuestas hicieron que no nos preocupáramos.

La Secretaría de Turismo presenta las expectativas del turismo de México para 2022

Comunicado 032/2022.- el secretario de turismo del gobierno de méxico, miguel torruco marqués, presentó las expectativas para el cierre del año 2022, de los principales indicadores de la actividad turística en méxico, en un escenario conservador..

• Con base en las expectativas de los indicadores turísticos, el secretario de Turismo, Miguel Torruco Marqués, indicó que al cierre de este año, el consumo turístico será de más de 146 mil millones de dólares, 12% más que en 2021.
• Se prevé que el ingreso de divisas por visitantes internacionales alcance los 24 mil millones de dólares, 22.5% más que lo captado en 2021.
• El gasto medio de los visitantes internacionales será de 379.8 dólares, 6.1% más que el año pasado. 

El titular de la Secretaría de Turismo (Sectur) dijo que se estima una ocupación hotelera promedio anual de 54.3%, situándose 12.9 puntos porcentuales por arriba del año 2021. 

En lo referente a la extra oferta hotelera, a través de plataformas digitales, el pronóstico es que en 2022 se ofrecerán 11 millones de espacios, lo que significa 2.7% adicionales. 

Comentó que respecto al consumo turístico, se estima que este año será de 146 mil 886 millones de dólares, esto es 12.3% más que en el cierre del 2021.

Torruco Marqués señaló que el consumo turístico por hospedaje, que representa el total del gasto de nacionales y extranjeros, será de 13 mil 374 millones de dólares, esto es 16.5% más que en 2021.

Agregó que se estima una llegada de turistas internacionales a México de 40 millones 37 mil, 8.2 millones más que en 2021, un incremento de 25.6%.

El secretario de Turismo puntualizó que en cuanto al ingreso de divisas por visitantes internacionales, se prevé que alcance los 24 mil 250 millones de dólares, esto es 4 mil 456 millones más que en 2021, un aumento de 22.5%; cifra casi similar a la de 2019, tan solo 350 millones de dólares por debajo de la cifra histórica de ese año. 

Para el 2022, se estima un gasto medio por visitantes internacionales de 379.8 dólares, lo que representa un incremento de 6.1% respecto a 2021, destacó el titular de Sectur.

Torruco Marqués indicó que la participación del PIB Turístico en la economía nacional disminuyó 1.9 puntos porcentuales, al pasar de 8.6% a 6.7%, en los años 2019 y 2020, respectivamente. 

Con los resultados de la Cuenta Satélite del Turismo que se publicará en diciembre de 2022, se espera que mejore la participación del PIB Turístico en el PIB Nacional, alcanzando un 7.1% en la economía nacional, y para el cierre de 2022, se retome la participación por arriba del 8.3%, tan solo tres décimas por debajo del 2019.

Video captures return of killer whales to Southern California

For the first time in months, a pod of killer whales was spotted in the waters off Los Angeles.

Whale-watching tour operators in Long Beach and Newport Beach shared footage of a pod of five  Eastern Tropical Pacific orcas  that migrated up the coast from Mexico and were observed in the waters off Orange County and  Los Angeles  County.

Harbor Breeze Cruises shared drone footage recorded Monday by Mauricio Tassara (IG: @ empty_drone ) with KTLA. The killer whales are believed to be feasting on the abundance of dolphins and whales in SoCal’s waters.

The video was taken Monday around noon as the tour began in Long Beach. It captured the killer orcas in the area for the first time since earlier in the year.

“This is the first time since late January we have seen these amazing whales off the coast during one of our tours and the fourteenth time total since December,” said Harbor Breeze C.O.O. Jeff Forney. “The Orcas put on a wonderful show for the passengers.”

The orcas were spotted a little further down the coast in Newport a short time later by Newport Coastal Adventure.

On several occasions over the past month, killer whales have been spotted by whale-watching tours in San Diego. They were assumed to be headed home to Mexico, but they swam back north again.

While they are often called “killer whales,”  orcas  are not whales but rather the largest member of the dolphin family. The  Eastern Tropical Pacific , or ETP, orcas’ choice of prey, being fellow dolphins and whales, makes them unique from other ecotypes sometimes spotted along SoCal’s coast.

According to experts, ETPs were last seen in California in 2021 and, before that, in 2018.

Estamos emocionados de presentarte el primer Tour de Royal Enfield en México. como cada Tour visitaremos los mejores lugares de nuestro país, esta vez comenzaremos recorriendo desde Ciudad de México hasta Oaxaca. Acompáñanos en el Tour de México 2022 una aventura de 10 días, un poco más de 1.500 km llenos de adrenalina, emoción, rutas increíbles, y paisajes únicos, lo hemos diseñado para que cualquier piloto se pueda unir, no importa si estás empezando en este mundo del motociclismo o si eres el piloto más experimentado, este Tour busca que vivas lo que en Royal Enfield llamamos motociclismo puro. En esta ocasión el tour comenzará en Ciudad de México y terminará en Oaxaca. El Tour está abierto solo para personas que tengan una Royal Enfield y tengan licencia de motocicleta vigente Tenemos disponibilidad para 18 riders y el registro lo haremos por orden de inscripción. No se guardarán cupos.

La Ciudad de México es la capital del país, de carácter vibrante, multifacético y siempre en movimiento. 2.240 MSNM.

Se encuentra y comprende al macizo montañoso en el extremo suroeste de la Ciudad de México. Forma parte del campo volcánico Chichinautzin, el cual posee una de las densidades más altas de volcanes monogenéticos de la Faja Volcánica Trans Mexicana. 3.930 MSNM.

Es una zona arqueológica situada en el estado de Morelos. También es un Pueblo Mágico de fiestas, así lo dicen sus danzas, con los Chinelos que son su música y sus vibrantes colores te harán sentir la vida de las tradiciones. 2.300 MSNM.

Está localizado en la zona oriente del Estado de México. Conserva una hermosa arquitectura, con casas de techos de dos aguas y patios centrales adornados con flores. Se dice que en los alrededores de Ayapango se llevaron a cabo importantes batallas durante la Revolución. 2.440 MSNM.

Es llamada la “ciudad de los ángeles”. El turismo religioso es uno de los principales atractivos de la ciudad de Puebla. Tiene una amplia colección de arte prehispánico, colonial y moderno y una terraza, para tomar las mejores fotos de la ciudad. 1.704 MSNM.

Es un destino fuera de lo común con maravillas naturales y culturales por descubrir. Tiene prestigio por sus bellos paisajes, sus manantiales, edificios coloniales, lugares pintorescos, hospitalidad de la población, etc. 1.896 MSNM.

Es conocido principalmente por sus pueblos indígenas, considerado como uno de los estados con mayor diversidad geográfica y biológica, por su complejo relieve y el elevado número de especies endémicas de reptiles, anfibios, mamíferos y plantas. 1.644 MSNM.

Monte Albán es un sitio arqueológico localizado a 8 km de la ciudad de Oaxaca de Juárez. En Monte Albán la influencia teotihuacana se aprecia en su arquitectura, cerámica y pintura mural entre otros aspectos.

Localizado en la costa del océano Pacífico del estado de Oaxaca. Es un destino de cruceros y conocido por sus características favorables para practicar surf. Destacan el tour a las Cascadas de Llano Grande o las mágicas de Copalitilla, el tour en bicicleta, el rápel, la tirolesa, el tour a caballo, el temazcal maya Santa Cruz, la observación de aves, etcétera. 220 MSNM.

Es famoso en todo el mundo por sus playas y sus zonas para surfear, además de que es el sitio donde comienzan los tours por las plantaciones de café y las actividades de ecoturismo. 60 MSNM.

112 KM ROYAL ENFIELD CDMX SUR - TEPOZTLAN. Saludamos a todos los participantes en el concesionario Royal Enfield en CDMX Sur. Discurso de bienvenida, fotos de despegue, charla de seguridad y protocolos de seguridad. De ahí viajamos a Tepoztlán, Morelos. Tarde social en la piscina del hotel cena de primera clase en el restaurante El Ciruelo.

Breakfast, Lunch

105 KM TEPOZTLAN - AYAPANGO- Temprano en la mañana llegamos a las faldas del Cerro del Tepozteco para visitar la pirámide y tomar unas cuants fotos. Después de tomar un buen baño y disfrutar del desayuno, despegamos hacia Ayapango, Edo Mex a pie del majestuosos volcanes del Popo e Izta, milenarios guardianes del histórico paso de Cortes. Pasamos la tarde en la Hacienda, visitando su huerto y tomando fotos geniales para una reunión social concurso de popularidad mediática. Por la noche, nos sentamos junto al fuego y disfrutamos de un delicioso Jabalí cocido a fuego lento al carbón.

106 KM AYAPANGO - PUEBLA- Después de un buen desayuno salimos de la Hacienda y retomamos nuestro viaje, hoy rodamos a través de dos de los volcanes más grandes de América Latina y el paso de Cortés, puerta utilizada por Hernán Cortés al descender hacia el valle de México y el gran imperio azteca. Al atravesar el paso, visitamos una cascada y rodamos por Cholula, el pueblo de las cien capillas, y a la ciudad de Puebla donde nos reunimos con entusiastas en el concesionario local. Desde allí nos dirigimos al hotel céntrico. Pasamos una maravillosa tarde paseando por los la plaza principal de la ciudad y su arquitectura de fama mundial, disfrutando de una cena en uno de sus muchos restaurantes finos.

204 KM PUEBLA - TEHUACAN- Después de un abundante desayuno salimos de Puebla y nos dirigimos al Sudeste hacia el mundialmente famoso desierto paleontológico de Tehuacán, donde miles de fósiles únicos han sido descubiertos. Abriéndonos paso entre un extraordinario cacto sahuaro paisaje, cabalgamos por el desierto antes de detenernos visitar el Museo Paleontológico Pie de Vaca, y algunos refrescos antes de continuar nuestro camino hacia la pequeña ciudad de Tehuacán. Disfrutamos de una agradable tarde paseando por los distrito central y darnos un gusto con unos deliciosos mole poblano para la cena.

25 KM OAXACA- Hoy continuamos nuestro camino Sur-Este hacia la ciudad de Oaxaca, un pueblo extraordinario con un rico trasfondo cultural compuesto por 19 grupos étnicos distintos, gran arquitectura colonial y cocina galardonada. Mientras cubrimos una de las distancias más largas de todo el Tour, viajamos por la Biosfera Tehuacán-Cuicatlán reserva, en medio de hermosas vistas en caminos llenos de curvas. El clima y los ecosistemas continúan cambiando antes nuestros ojos mientras somos tratados con un espectacular tapiz de desiertos y montañas. Salimos temprano y disfrutamos del largo paseo por las sierras. Durante la tarde visitamos uno de sus museos y tomamos un sabroso cono de helado mientras paseamos por la principal plaza y disfruta de su hermosa catedral y su vibrante ambiente, antes de acomodarse para una cerveza fría y cena en uno de sus estupendos restaurantes.

312 KM DÍA EN OAXACA- Hoy visitamos el sitio arqueológico de Monte Albán, antigua capital de la cultura zapoteca y patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO. Después de esta rica experiencia cultural, regresamos a la ciudad para tome un almuerzo en Terraza Los Amates y disfrute de fabulosas vista de la catedral y la plaza principal. La tarde de hoy es libre, lo que permite a todos deambular y explorar esta gran ciudad en su tiempo libre. Nos reunimos de nuevo para cenar en los Danzantes y un breve hablar de lo que nos espera en los últimos días de la gira.

270 KM OAXACA - BAHIAS DE HUATULCO- Mientras continuamos nuestro viaje hacia el Sur, hacia la costa del Pacífico, recorremos literalmente cientos de curvas y verdaderamente impresionantes vistas de lo que se considera uno de los países para andar en moto, apodado el pequeño oaxaqueño Alpes por una buena razón. Recorremos pueblitos icónicos como San José del Pacífico y San Mateo Río Hondo, ya que el entorno cambia de bosques de pinos en selva subtropical y eventualmente se convierten un hermoso paisaje costero. Habiendo estado a 3.660 metros sobre el nivel del mar en la cima de Paso de Cortés hace unos días, ahora nos encontramos llegando nivel del mar... pocos lugares en el mundo nos brindan tal maravillosa oportunidad.

154 KM B. DE HUATULCO - PTO ESCONDIDO- ¡Qué gran día para una aventura de snorkel en San Bahía Agustín, llena de colorida fauna oceánica y coloridas grietas. Después de nadar y bucear, nos relajamos en el restaurante frente a la playa Casa del Abuelo para un delicioso almuerzo de mariscos y cerveza fría. Después de disfrutar de esta maravillosa comida y rico tiempo de calidad con el resto del grupo, es hora de prepararse para moverse a Puerto Escondido. Después de instalarnos en el hotel, nos preparamos para experimentar el asombroso fenómeno del plancton bioluminiscente en la Laguna de Manialtepec, seguida de una suntuosa cena en el restaurante del centro de Turtle Bay.

0 KM. Terminamos con otro día espectacular en paraíso. Nos adentramos en el mar en una embarcación privada, explorando el playas cercanas a lo largo de la línea de costa, disfrutando la deliciosa comida de mar y simplemente recordando este paseo único en la vida, su increíble paisaje y las grandes amistades forjadas a través de esta gran aventura.

270 KM PTO ESCONDIDO - OAXACA- Ha llegado el momento de emprender el regreso a Ciudad de México, nuestro punto de partida y final de esta épica aventura. Mientras hacemos nuestro camino de regreso a Oaxaca por el otro lado de la magnífica Sierra, experimentamos otro viaje épico lleno de cientos de giros, a medida que profundizamos hacia las montañas, hacia un aire más delgado y frío y ante abundante porción de extraordinario mole oaxaqueño. Esta noche celebramos juntos y levantamos nuestras copas por lo que ha sido una experiencia increíble y extraordinaria para todos. Mañana todos volaremos de regreso a casa.

Mexico is generally most pleasant in the cool, dry season between September and June. July and August can be very hot and humid, but perfect for swimming, snorkelling and lazing on the beach. These are, however, the busiest months for travel as this is the time of the North American school holidays. Highland areas such as Chiapas and Oaxaca tend to be cooler year-round, with cold nights.

Culture and customs

Geography and environment

Mexico shares land borders with the   United States ,   Belize   and   Guatemala , and has an extensive coastline that runs along the Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

Featuring a wide variety of natural environments, Mexico is home to tracts of tropical rainforests, vast areas of low-lying plains and deserts, volcanic mountains and temperate beaches and lagoons.

Mexico's capital and major cities are typically built up, busy and lively – with a vast network of public transport, highways and roads. Rural areas, on the other hand, are distinctly less developed, with small-scale housing, unsealed roads and rustic farms.

History and government

Early history.

People have been living in Mexico for more than 13,000 years. Mesoamericans occupied the area early on, with archaeological evidence pointing towards Mesoamericans leading a hunter-gatherer existence. Maize farming is thought to have become commonplace by 1500 BC, which led to the farming of other commodities as well. A variety of cultures contributed to the early history of Mexico, with the Olmec, Toltec, Maya, Teotihuacan and Aztecs all bringing unique cultural, religious and artistic styles to the region, with the Mayan and Aztec Empires having the greatest (and most enduring) impact on the region. 

Mayan society can be traced back to 300 BC, while the Aztecs enjoyed prosperity from 1325 to around 1521 AD. Many ancient ruins and constructions from these periods are still standing all throughout Mexico and can be visited and viewed today. By the 16th century, the Spanish had arrived in Mexico, what followed was a period of colonialism that lasted nearly 300 years. 

During this time, Mexico was seen as a part of ‘New Spain’ along with Cuba and Puerto Rico. This was not a particularly good time for Mexicans who (under colonial law) were generally not allowed to travel outside of Mexico and were denied access to education. Mexico achieved independence from the Spaniards after the War of Independence (1810-1821), but peace was short-lived as two decades later, the Mexican-American War brought more confrontation and armed conflict to parts of Mexico.

Recent history

Mexico’s Revolution of 1910 - 1921 was a period of instability, marked by political turmoil and bloodshed. More recently, Mexico has enjoyed an economic resurgence after decades of economic hardship, which lasted from the 1970s to the mid-1990s. The earthquake of 1985 didn’t help matters, with wide-scale damage and loss of life compounding the economic problems and political uncertainty of Mexico. Currently, Mexico is benefiting from a period of improved economic conditions, although the gap between the wages earned by Mexicans and their northern neighbours continues to widen. Mexico is now operating in a free market economy and the growth of tourism, agriculture and industry has ensured an improved economy for the country, although financial inequality still exists within.

A visit to the famed ruins of Chichen Itza reveals history, ancient architecture and wildlife in equal measure. Walk through the complex and hear jungle animal calls as colourful birds fly among the canopy. This is a stirring experience to treasure.

Festivals and events in Mexico

Mexico is the land of the fiesta and the locals will find any reason to party. Whether they're celebrating independence, the saints or the dead, you can expect vibrant colours, lively music and a whole lot of dancing. One to keep an eye out for is the Autumn Equinox, when crowds gather at Chichen Itza to witness the sunlight and shadows play tricks on this ancient relic. During the autumn (and spring) equinox, the sun moves across Chichen Itza, illuminating parts of the temple to reveal the moving body of a snake. Not seen on any other days, this natural spectacle draws thousands of pilgrims.

Trips from 1 January 2023 onwards

From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travellers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises).

Is it safe to visit Mexico?

Mexico has long been a popular tourist destination and most travellers do not run into any trouble. There are, however, areas that experience high levels of violent crime as a result of lawlessness and drug trafficking. That said, you can rest assured that Intrepid would not take you anywhere unless we were convinced it was safe.

Do I need a visa to travel to Mexico?

All tourists travelling to Mexico need a tourist permit, but not all need a visa. Citizens of the US, EU, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand are among those that do not need a visa and can obtain a tourist permit on arrival.

Is tipping customary in Mexico?

Tipping is expected in most parts of Mexico. The service workers typically earn a low wage and rely on tips to earn a decent living. We recommend leaving 10–15 per cent at restaurants (if the service charge is not already included), 5–10 per cent of your room cost for housekeepers, and a few dollars for porters, bartenders and guides.

What is the internet access like in Mexico?

Internet access is good in Mexico with wi-fi available in most accommodations, bigger restaurants, airports and in some public spaces. It’s also easy and affordable to buy a local SIM card for the duration of your Mexico tour.

Can I use my mobile phone in Mexico?

If you wish to use your mobile phone while in Mexico be sure to activate global roaming before leaving your home country. You should also check with your provider regarding any charges you may incur when overseas.

What are the toilets like in Mexico?

It's likely that you will encounter different types of toilets while travelling in Mexico. Western-style flushable toilets are commonly found in high-end resorts, hotels and restaurants, while squat toilets are common in rural areas and homes. Be prepared by carrying your own supply of toilet paper and soap, as these aren't always provided.

Can I drink the water in Mexico?

We do not recommend drinking the water in Mexico.

For environmental reasons, try to avoid buying bottle water and fill a reusable water bottle or canteen with filtered water instead. Ask your leader where filtered water can be found; some hotels we stay in may have drinking water available, often boiled to use for tea or coffee.

It’s also advisable to avoid ice in drinks and to peel fruit and vegetables before eating.

Are credit cards widely accepted in Mexico?

Credit cards are generally accepted in Mexico at large stores and most mid- high-range hotels. Some cafes, bars and restaurants may accept card too, but the places with real character – and the best local food – tend to be cash only.

What is ATM access like in Mexico?

ATMs are available across towns and cities in Mexico. Travellers should not encounter trouble finding an ATM but be wary of international transaction fees. For your own safety, try to use ATMs in daylight hours.

Is Mexico safe for LGBTQIA+ travellers?

Mexico is becoming increasingly more accepting of same-sex relationships and has laws in place to protect those that identify differently, but it remains a country of strong Catholicism that has historically been hostile towards the local LGBTQIA+ community.

If you are travelling solo on an Intrepid group tour, you will share accommodation with a passenger of the same gender as per your passport information. If you don’t identify with the gender assigned on your passport, please let us know at time of booking and we’ll arrange the rooming configuration accordingly. A single supplement is available on some tours for travellers who do not wish to share a room.

Is Mexico accessible for travellers with disabilities?

Intrepid is committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. That’s why we do our best to help as many people see the world as possible, regardless of any physical or mental limitations they might have. We’re always happy to talk to travellers with disabilities and see if we can help guide them towards the most suitable itinerary for their needs and, where possible, make reasonable adjustments to our itineraries.

Tourist destinations in Mexico including Mexico City and the resort areas on the Yucatan Peninsula are seeing an increasing number of hotels, restaurants and tourist sights fitted out to accommodate travellers with limitations. That said, it can still be difficult for those with mobility issues and visual and hearing issues, particularly on public transport. We recommend using taxis to move around locally and flying between cities if possible unless, of course, you are on an Intrepid Mexico tour.

If you do live with a visual, hearing or other impairment, let your booking agent or group leader know early on so they’re aware and suitable arrangements can be made. As a general rule, knowing some common words in the local language, carrying a written itinerary with you and taking to the streets in a group, rather than solo, can help make your travel experience the best it can be.

What should I wear in Mexico?

What you pack for your Mexico tour will depend on where you are travelling to. Mexico City, for example, will be much cooler than the coastal areas of Playa del Carmen or Tulum, thanks to its high altitude. In the winter, it can drop down towards freezing at night while reaching 23°C during the day, so it’s important to be prepared for both ends of the spectrum.

What's the accommodation like in Mexico?

Travelling with Intrepid is a little bit different. We endeavour to provide travellers with an authentic experience to remember, so we try to keep accommodation as unique and traditional as possible.

When travelling with us in Mexico you may find yourself staying in a basic hotel.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance before travelling?

Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip.
