Promotions and Events Executive

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for the coordination and execution of all planned marketing campaigns, promotions and events for Genting Rewards members onboard vessels under Resorts World Cruises. This role will also be responsible to work closely with partners and the various internal departments to develop the appropriate marketing messages, collateral, strategies to promote each event, promotion and program.

• Develop marketing collaterals, messaging and identify platforms in which to promote each marketing initiative
• Design and develop concepts for each scheduled event, promotion and program (Preferred with design skills in Canva)
• To follow up and work closely with Partners and Procurement in sourcing new products and vendors to support various marketing initiatives and management of onboard redemption outlets
• Collaborate with the Business Development teams and other business stakeholders to develop concepts and execution of each event, promotion and program
• Participate in the development of proformas and post-event analysis
• Ensuring that all relevant internal and external departments are briefed accordingly prior to the commencement of each event, promotion and program
• Any other ad-hoc task/responsibilities assigned by the management

Qualifications and Experience

• University Graduate in Business, Tourism, Hospitality and/or Sales Management
• At least 2 years of experience in the area of Marketing Communications, Casino Marketing, Club Marketing or equivalent
• Team player and positive attitude
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Be able to work-off hours as required by the needs of the business
• Able to travel to both domestic and international locations whenever is needed

Yield Management Executive

Manage and monitor cabin inventory and pricing for each market segment with maximizing yield.

• Coordinate and work closely with Mass and VIP teams in addition to the Cruise sales teams on cabin revenue/ inventory management to optimize the Yield.
• Review and recommend onboard product to increase rate of occupancy and/or maximize the average revenue per available cabin.
• Maintain, setup and monitor inventory in booking systems.
• Work on RW@Sea booking promotions based on given costing to increase booking rate.
• Work on pricing of RW@Sea products based on different market segments.
• 1 – 3 times cruising or travel required within a year.
• Other duties that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis.
• Diploma / Degree holder either in Statistics, Administration, Management Studies or related disciplines.
• 1-2 years working experience in analysis or business management development, and/or experience in Yield Management or gaming industry will be an advantage.
• Yield management strategy, Managerial skills & Communication, analytical skills required.
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined, able to work independently.
• Good knowledge of application software including MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint.

Senior Technical Purchasing Executive

To handle the Technical Purchasing day-to-day operations, including execution of sourcing functions, cost savings exercises, maintaining good working relationship and effective communication, and coordinate for operational need for deployment of vessels.

Timely execution for all RWC Technical purchases.

• Receiving and processing purchase requisitions from vessels through PMS purchasing module.
• Seek new sources, ensure products and services source meet user specs and highlight alternatives if possible.
• Ensure that the company gets optimum pricing, quality, and terms and condition of the product and services source.
• Coordinate with user with regards to product quality and suitability.

Issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Order (PO)

• Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to identify and qualified suppliers.
• Prepare quotation comparison and Vendor Selection Form.
• Accurate issuance of Purchase Order (PO) according to PO Authority Limit (DAL).
• Prepare and issue Forwarding Advice, Proforma Invoices, Request for Payment (electronic form) and follow up on approval.
• Ensure PR/PO Status Report is accurate and update accordingly.

User and Supplier rapport- maintain good and unbiased relationship.

• Ensure daily issues relating to PR/PO are professionally and promptly dealt with, paying special attention to urgent requisitions and safety related items.
• Maintain direct contact between the ship, shore and vendor.
• Liaise closely with AVP Technical Operations on the specifications or any Technical enquiry.

User complaint and feedback management.

• Follow up and reply on problem of Good Receipts (GRs), Invoices Discrepancy Reports.
• Prepare Summary of PR/PO report.
• Any other duties, which may reasonably be requested from, time to time.

International Sales Executive

• Provide support to International Sales team in the preparation of group quotation, event order, and handling of operational requests and other administrative duties assigned.
• Handle all enquiries from travel/business partners.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with travel/business partners.
• Handle invoicing and billing for outstanding payments from travel/business partners.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure business effectiveness. 
• Represent Resorts World Cruises in relevant roadshows and other sales events.
• Conduct ship tours and host familiarization cruises & Fly Cruise trips.
• Ensure work processes are in compliance with audit requirements.
• Any other duties assigned.
• Minimum O Level.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales.
• Self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, result oriented, with can-do attitude and capacity to think out of the box.
• Good organization skill and meticulous paying attention to details, and able to perform under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Words, PowerPoint

Assistant VIP Casino Business Development Manager

Be part of a dynamic team of VIP Casino Marketing professionals, to develop new and manage assigned accounts under RW@SEA.

• Execute and maintain all premium business initiatives relating to RW@SEA membership from designated target markets.
• Implement and help manage all promotions/ campaigns to increase the awareness of RW@SEA membership and encourage visitation and drive revenue growth.
• Thorough knowledge of the product with the ability to analyze customer behaviors.
• Execute and analyze programs for attracting, retaining and reactivating customers, based on short and long term analyses of customer trends.
• Assist in the implementation of systems to develop a thorough understanding of the relevant customer segments. Inclusive of this is the solicitation and measurement of customer feedback on matters including product, pricing, service, programs, promotions and offers, and using this information to develop future initiatives.
• Accurate & timely reporting on performance versus targets, competitor activities, customer satisfaction with membership and customer feedback.
• Regular Cruising onboard vessels is required to keep an up-to-date knowledge of the customer experience as well as to develop good relationships with RW@SEA members.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties related to the job functions required by the management.
• Min 3 years’ experience in the gaming industry or customer relations related fields
• Demonstrates strong business acumen with qualifications in a business or marketing field.
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Senior International Sales Manager

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve the targets set for Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, UK & Europe markets. 
• Develop and drive marketing activities that engage customer interests, increase brands and products awareness, and support the attainment of revenue targets.
• Monitor expenditure budget to meet with organizational expenditure requirements.
• Work closely with business partners on joint promotions and strategy planning.
• Constant updates on Resorts World Cruises deployment schedules, cruise prices, cruise information, promotional campaigns, and marketing related collaterals to assist business partners in their Sales & marketing campaigns.
• Work with Marketing team on marketing collaborations, road shows and consumer campaigns that generates massive awareness and sales leads. 
• Manage operational issues including cruise bookings, cabin blockages, cabin inventory, group arrangements and special programs, etc.
• Conduct, ship inspections, training, familiarisation cruise etc. to potential business partners.
• Participate in trade events to find new partners and avenues to promote Resorts World Cruises.
• Minimum Polytechnic Diploma or A Levels with 8 years’ experience in sales with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and effective leadership.
• Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
• Strong persuasive communications skills both written and verbal / presentation.
• Strong decision making and collaboration skills.
• Have good organization skill and be meticulous paying attention to details, and able to perform under pressure.

Mass Business Development Executive

Primary responsibility.

• Implement all Mass business initiatives to target appropriate markets and drive revenue growth.
• Monitor the financial performance of the relevant customer segments against establish targets / KPI
• Implement processes and strategies that enhance and streamline communication between internal and external customers.

Star Cruises is the biggest Asian based cruise line and one of the fastest-growing in the world. Star Cruises was founded as an associate of the Genting Group of Malaysia, incorporated in Bermuda on 10 November 1993 with its corporate headquarters in Hong Kong. Starting with two cruise ships in 1993, the company owns ten ships at the moment. The Star fleet consist of three distinct brands: Star, SuperStar and MegaStar. The cruise line has bought many cruise ships from other cruise lines (the former Sun Viking from Royal Caribbean, the former Golden Princess from Princess Cruises and even the former Baltic ferries Athena and Kalypso . Star Cruises has also purchased the luxury cruise ship Europa from Germany's Hapag-Lloyd with plans to convert it to the most luxurious ship cruising in Asian waters. Star Cruises, the third largest cruise line in the world is a global cruise brand presently operating a combined fleet of 20 cruise ships with over 26,000 lower berths, with cruises to destinations and islands in Asia-Pacific, North and South America, Hawaii, Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Mediterranean, Bermuda and the Antarctica under the Star Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Cruise Ferries brands. Star Cruises is represented in more than 20 locations worldwide with offices in Australia, New Zealand, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Star Cruises development highlights:   - 1993, introducing leisure cruising in Asia;   - 1994, developing the fly-cruise concept for short break-style vacations;   - 1997, winning the first of 6 consecutive annual awards for Best Cruise Operator in Asia-Pacific by TTG Asia from 1997 to 2002;   - 1998, maximising the Freestyle Cruising potential in Asia and, through NCL, to the US and Pacific in 2001;   - 1998 established, with FORCE Technology - DMI (formerly Danish Maritime Institute), a joint venture to operate a world-class ship simulator in Port Klang, Malaysia;   - 1999, opening up Vietnam and China to the international cruising community;    - 2000, acquiring Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) to become the world's first truly global cruise line and its third-largest. 

In 2004, SuperStar Leo, Star Cruises' then-largest ship, was transferred to NCL to take over Norwegian Sky cruises as she had to be rushed into service under NCL America brand due to the Pride of America not being ready on time due to sinking at Lloyd Werft shipyard. Since 2006, the trend has been that new ships were to be built for NCL, and the old ships in the NCL fleet would be transferred to the Star Cruises fleet in Asia.

In early 2008, both NCL America and Orient Lines brands were discontinued, with the latter's sole ship, MS Marco Polo, sold to Greek interests. Also in that year, the first ship from NCL was transferred to the Star Cruises fleet as SuperStar Libra.

Starting from 2011, Star Cruises received a new hullart. SuperStar Virgo, SuperStar Aquarius and Star Pisces have received their new hullart.

It was announced on 27 April 2019 that the Norwegian Dream will join the Star fleet, she will be named as SuperStar Gemini and will start service in 2019.

In October 2019, Star Cruises announced that Star Cruises and their parent company, Genting Hong Kong, have entered into an agreement with Meyer Werft shipyard for the construction of one new cruise ship for Star. The vessel will have capacity for 3,364 passengers at double occupancy. The ship will be delivered sometime in Fall 2016. Star Cruises announced on 10 February 2014, that a second ship was ordered and will be delivered by Fall 2017. Both ships will 150,000 GT. On 9 February 2015, the first steel cutting ceremony for Genting World was held at Meyer Werft shipyard.

On the employment side, it is a very good idea to try to secure a job position with this fast growing cruise line. They are offering salaries, which are sometimes higher than mainstream U.S. based cruise lines, working conditions are great and for many people the idea of working in the Orient and the Far East will be quite appealing.

Dream Cruises recruits prospective crew exclusively through its Crewing Agencies Strada Maritime Corporate and Martley Shipping Inc. and local crewing agents in the following regions: China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea.
