Blue October are back in the UK
Blue October have eight shows coming up across UK / Eire this April, following the release of ( Part 1) of the band’s upcoming double album ' Spinning the truth Around' . Throughout 2020 - 2021, Justin Furstenfeld wrote and recorded both albums with the band at his Up / Down Studios in San Marcos, Texas. “Spinning the Truth Around” is packed full of songs that will sneak their melodies into your mind, and break your heart; music that cut and connect simultaneously.
Their eleventh studio album, this is classic Blue October Rock songs of love and loss boasting heartfelt lyrics that land every punch, and harmonics that swell, lift, and devastate. This is a band that understands the balance to be found between delivering at full tilt, and the power to be found in space and sparseness. As an album it is a more than worthy addition to their incredible catalogue, as a precursor to (Part 2) it sets the bar very high. Formed in 1995, Blue October has amassed over a billion streams, and has charted sixteen hits over ten albums.

Justin Furstenfeld was thrilled to be making his feature film debut as a villain in the action movie 'Section 8' , alongside Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Dermont Mulroney and Ryan Kwaten. The film was directed by Christian Sesma with an original screenplay by Chad Law (The Hit List, Black Water), 'Section 8' is the story of a former soldier who, after avenging the murder of his family, is sprung from prison and recruited by a shadowy government agency. Justin has also wrapped the film 'Lights Out', co-starring Frank Grillo, Mekhi Phifer, Scott Adkins and Dermot Mulroney

Texan's set to release new single I Hope You're Happy ahead of forthcoming new album
Texan band Blue October have announced eight UK live dates for March, including a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
The Peter Gabriel-inspired rockers will also release a new single, I Hope You’re Happy , on 2 February ahead of the dates. This is taken from the band’s forthcoming new album.
“I’m honestly more excited than ever to return to England,” says singer Justin Furstenfield. “Everyone who knows me knows I grew up living and breathing bands from the UK like The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, The Cocteau Twins, Stone Roses, and the list goes on and on. These artists taught me how to write and feel through music. I’m in love with the UK now and forever.”
