The 10 Best Architectural Digest Celebrity House Tours on YouTube
Architectural Digest's YouTube channel, and its "Open Door" series in particular, is one of life's greatest gifts. It filled the void that MTV cribs left in its wake when the series ended in 2010... and we're huge fans.
Because it's not every day we real estate addicts get to see behind the closed doors of luxurious, extravagant, and quirky celebrity homes. From a converted windmill in the Hamptons and a duplex penthouse apartment at the Plaza Hotel in NYC to the mansions of the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles , each home on this list will leave you both in awe and filled with inspiration.
These are the top 10 best Architectural Digest celebrity house tours...
1. robert downey jr..
First up we have Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey's converted windmill abode. This is not your run-of-the-mill (see what we did there?) Hamptons summer home, it was designed by renowned New York City firm Fox-Nahem Associates who transformed the late-19th century windmill into a charming and very private East Hampton masterpiece with stunning grounds. The highlight? Susan's office in the very top of the windmill is the ideal WFH situation and we couldn't be more jealous.
In this very humorous home tour we get to see everything from Robert's art projects and clutter closets to their table-side nap zone and numerous cats. If you're in the mood for a chuckle, look no further.
2. Dakota Johnson
If you love all things mid-century modern, this is the celebrity home tour for you.
Architectural Digest kindly bring us inside the beautiful home of movie star Dakota Johnson. Formerly the home of director Ryan Murphy, Dakota purchased the super private Hollywood Hills home for $3.55 million in 2016. Features of envy include beautiful crushed mohair vintage sofas, her cozy office with book wall, gorgeous green kitchen, and backyard oasis complete with citrus trees, a heated swimming pool, and an elevated bamboo-sheltered hot tub area.
There isn't an inch of this lush but humble abode that we don't love.
3. Wiz Khalifa
This episode of "Open Door" is currently the most viewed of all time with 43 million views. It brings us inside Wiz Khalifa's $4.6 million mansion and recording studio in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles.
The rapper's super cool pad features a heated infinity pool with incredible views, a games room with a dab AND booze bar, an underground recording studio, weed-themed photo wall, and a fleet of killer cars. Proof that this man is living the dream.
4. Cara and Poppy Delevigne
You may never find more personality in a home thanks to the Delevigne sisters' jungle-inspired home in Los Angeles.
Nicolò Bini of Line Architecture told Architectural Digest of the home, “I wanted to create a true L.A. moment for them, with nods to California midcentury modern, Laurel Canyon bohemia, Beverly Hills swank, surfing culture, and a little Mexico. Then we tied all that in with Cara and Poppy’s Englishness to give the house another layer of Delevingne charm.” The interior of this home is one-of-a-kind, no doubt about it.
Header image credit: Architectural Digest / Trevor Tondro
Over in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles , you'll find producer and DJ Zedd's $16 million mansion.
Highlights of this Architectural Digest "Open Door" episode include the incredible canyon and hill views, indoor trees, an art gallery, and a Skittle machine. Spanning a whopping 9,500 square feet, this mansion even has its own detached studio and gym and will soon have a separate "guest-house-bowling-alley-complex". Casual...
You can understand why this is the second most viewed video on Architectural Digest's YouTube with a staggering 43 million views.
6. Kendall Jenner
Next up we have supermodel and Kardashian clan member Kendall Jenner whose serene Los Angeles home was designed by Kathleen and Tommy Clements and Waldo Fernandez. The interior of the home blends super tasteful elements and earthy shades with fun, unexpected pops of color and a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
Keep an eye out for Kendall's incredible art collection including a signature James Turrell ovoid wall sculpture as well as her incredible fireplace, beautiful bar, art studio, dream-worthy chef's kitchen, gold bathtub, glam room, and so much more.
7. J Balvin
Travel with us to Colombia for this next "Open Door" episode where we get to explore superstar J Balvin's tranquil home. Inspired by Japan aesthetics and minimalism, the house features floor-to-ceiling windows that bring nature indoors. The open plan kitchen and living room open up to the great outdoors, with a wonderful indoor / outdoor flow. The pool area is beyond dream-worthy and is surrounded by lush and tropical greenery and bonsai trees.
The minimalism and neutral color palette changes greatly when you enter J Balvin's walk-in closet where over 850 pairs of sneaker line the walls in explosions of color. The man loves his shoes...
8. Hilary Duff
Next we'll enjoy a tour of Hilary Duff's vibrant, colorful, and cheerful family home in Los Angeles . A self-confessed home renovation addict, Hilary has renovated this house twice in the last eight years. The latest one has resulted in a quirky and somewhat eccentric aesthetic with a focus on family, livability, and large spaces to spend time in with beautiful art and tasteful features throughout.
The highlight of this home tour has got to be the chicken coop out in the back yard.
9. Tommy Hilfiger
Journey back to New York with us now for what may be the most luxurious and opulent home on this list. Legendary fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee reportedly purchased this duplex penthouse apartment at the Plaza Hotel for $25.5 million in 2008 (they've since sold it for $31 million, although originally listed it for $80 million).
This Plaza apartment overlooks Central Park, with incredible views of the city as far as the eye can see. This particular unit steeped in history having once hosted the likes of The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, and many more iconic figures. You won't find another apartment like this in New York City.
BROWSE: Homes for sale in New York here.
10. Aaron Paul
Come check out Aaron Paul's custom wood and stone Idaho home. Despite the house being enormous, it has a very cozy, almost cabin-like vibe to it, tucked away in the snowy mountains and surrounded by trees and lakes. Just watching this home tour will make you feel warm 'n' fuzzy inside.
With the help of interior designer Jake Arnold and Pearson Design Group, the Pauls purchased and used the wood from three 120-year-old barns to build the house from scratch. Drool over the cathedral ceilings, vast living spaces, stone bathrooms, spacious bedrooms, and an incredible floor-to-ceiling fireplace.
Plus, a bonus one, but a must-watch nonetheless.
11. Naomi Campbell
Last but not least, we just haaad to include icon Naomi Campbell's Kenya compound and airy villa. On the coast of the Indian Ocean, in the tranquil seaside town of Malindi, lies this tranquil and "very calming place".
From the indoor/outdoor flow and two pools, to the restaurant-like outdoor dining area and on-site spa - we've never seen anything quite like this one... take a look for yourself.

At Home with Quintessence
For the last three weeks, I have been plagued with a constant series of headaches ranging from dull and irritating to full-on migraine. If anyone has any advice, I would be greatly appreciative! Fortunately, I have found great joy during this time binge-watching the acclaimed video series, “At Home With” via the Quintessence YouTube channel. I recently discovered YouTube TV, so now I can snuggle into bed to watch and not have to sit in front of the computer!
The Quintessence design video series was created by author Susanna Salk and Stacey Bewkes, founder of the celebrated Quintessence blog . Susanna, the host, has published many design books including A Privileged Life , Be Your Own Decorator , Room for Children , Dream Rooms for Children , The Power of Pattern , Decorate Fearlessly , Weekend Retreats , Dogs and Their Designers , and At Home in the English Country Side: Designers and Their Dogs . Stacey, a former art director, is the co-creator, producer, and editor. Her fabulous blog has become a trusted source for well-researched, original content in the online world.
With now over 100 episodes, logging over one million monthly views, Susanna and Stacey visit the homes and gardens of top designers and style makers around the globe… today I am sharing a few of my favorites!
Quintessence has a series of six video videos with designer Timothy Corrigan, and the tours of his French chateaus are simply breathtaking! It is truly like stepping inside a magical fairytale!
I also can not get enough of the Quintessence series of videos with Carolyne Roehm ! The tour of her Charleston home is an absolute slice of heaven!
There really are too many incredible home tours to list! Please head over to the Quintessence YouTube channel for more… Do you have a favorite? Enjoy! 🙂

Thank you for this list! A great binge idea!! Hope you feel better. I can’t live without Imitrex for my headaches! Xx
Love your blog and all of your great work bringing these beautiful homes into our lives. Please try “Calm” Magnesium citrate for your headaches. It works miracles for migraine sufferers. Good luck!!
Thank you so much for all these binge worthy options! Have been desperate for something to watch…as to your Migraines, can be allergy related, you have recently moved to a new area and even though you have lived there before it sometimes takes moving back after being away for a few years to activate the allergies which then cause the headaches (I know from experience). Possibly be tested for allergies, find a good over the counter allergy med and stick with it, not now and then. As Allison mentioned Imitrex is a very good Migraine medication. Hope some of this helps….
I had migraines for over 30 years sometimes 14 -15 a month! Tried preventative meds no luck took a pill when I got them most times it helped but hurt tummy. Finally I got some CBD oil from FL. and have not had a migraine in over two years now I take it 2-3 x a week under tongue. No adverse reactions not expensive. I am so glad I can live without awful migraines mine were triggered by changes in barometer, getting too to or too cold.
I TOO HAVE HAD A HEADACHE FOR THREE WEEKS NOW………BACK OF SKULL! FOUND OUT YESTERDAY IT COULD BE A VIRUS! SORRY THEY ARENOT FUN…….I am having VERTIGO AS WELL! MY GARDEN IS UP ON MY BLOG YOU MAY ENJOY! LOTS OF ROSES and a NEW PUPPY! THEVINTAGECONTESSA.NET I HAVE SEEN ALL OF THESE AND EVEN MET THESE TWO AT THE San Francisco ANTIQUE SHOW! THEY ARE A DELIGHT…………….and you feel as if you are there for a visit!
Thank you for sharing a great group of YouTube!! I love them so much, I’ll have to save and look at them over time.
Most headaches are caused by dehydration. When I get a migraine, I pour a cup of coffee (yes, it offers migraine relief), and chase it with 3 six ounce glasses of water. That usually does the trick. I keep hydrating through the day so it doesn’t come back. Haven’t had a full-on migraine since I started doing this. And Quintessence helps too! They do the most interesting interviews, and I’ve been to several of the places you mentioned in person. But not Timothy’s chateaux. Those are on my bucket list.
Quintessence is like a secret getaway to far off places – at the touch of a keyboard! The cheerful theme music is delightful. If you can’t get relief with an over the counter Advil or something I think you should see your doctor – hope you feel 100% very soon.
I’m sorry that you have not been feeling well and I hope your migraines subside very soon. I recently found Quintessence on Youtube and I love the series! My favorite so far is probably the video with Christopher Spitzmiller. What a fabulous home! Thanks for sharing. I always learn something when I read The Glam Pad. Also, during these trying times, it’s really nice to see and read about beautiful homes and pretty things. It’s a great escape for me while WFH since I am home alone all day long every single day.
Gabapentin for the severe head ache followed by vitaminB2 nightly after pain is under control.
I am a longtime headache and migraine sufferer. I avoid some of my triggers by staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, and having proper meals at regular intervals. I also use a massager on my shoulders and neck and acupressure massage on my face. Compresses of a washcloth with water just as hot as you can stand it help on the forehead and eyes. And for some weird reason, grapefruit juice can sometimes help me, but it has to be the sour yellow stuff, not pink. When all else fails and the migraine comes anyway, Maxalt knocks it out. I am also a longtime Quintessence viewer.
Hi, I have had a headaches for fifty years. I wake up with them and get them when I lay down. If the tension gets really bag they turn i to migraines for which I take Zoomig.it works, but I am worried about my liver and kidneys from all of the over the counter meds I have taken. I have tried all of the normal things, exercises, acupressure, chiropractic, massage, etc. nothing works long term because my muscles have been in knots for so long. I finally found a pain clinic that does trigger point injections and the difference is amazing. I am not 100%, but I am three quarters better. I am now doing anregenerative injection of Wharton’s jelly, which is like stem cells. It actuslly heals the inflammation and damage. It has about an 80% cure rate and lasts three years to forever. So I understand your pain,! You might want to try it. I have hope niw that ai can live my life pain free.
Im so sorry about your headaches. Try a Benadryl at bedtime if its allergies . Coffee is my go to and hydration. I have watched and rewatched all Quintessence on you tube. Its the only channel I allow bell notifications. Patina Farm and one on Tangier Come to mind as favorites. I love Susanne because she always fits her surroundings and is genuinely curious & kind. Feel Better
Botox shots in my forehead worked immediately. I never had to take migraine medicine again.
I love Quintessence too! As a migraine sufferer, I agree with many of the suggestions you’ve been given, especially magnesium supplements, hydration, good sleep, regular meals, and I will add: avoid stress!
Andrea, all well meaning from your fan club. Best advice is do not self diagnose or self medicate. See my private email to you will a few suggested tests you should ask your doctor to take to rule out underlying cause. Hope you feel better soon. Ellen Easton
Hello, I suffer from what is called Vestibular Migraines which causes dizziness, fatigue, headaches, and come on fast but randomly. Fast movements and light variations cause me great discomfort. This might be something you can research and see if this is what you are going through. There are medications that can be subscribed to help ease the pain but I normally just make sure I’m hydrated and sit down for a bit. Hope this helps. I’m sorry you are dealing with migraines. Bobbi Jo
Thank you all so very much for these wonderful suggestions!! I have a series of doctor appointments scheduled and a list of remedies to buy tonight at Whole Foods. 🙂 I am so grateful for your help!
Xx, Andrea The Glam Pad
Andrea, I’m sorry you are experiencing headaches. Wish I could help but, other than headaches that come on w/ the flu, I don’t get those suckers. I don’t know your age, but some of my friends had headaches while going through pre-menopause. Hope you feel better real soon. Thank you so very much for all these delightful clips. I’m going to savor them all over the next few days.
Andrea, Thank you for all the beauty you bring to our lives! I have suffered from migraines for over 35 years and have tried everything. I used to have headaches almost every day but now only have an occasional mild headache and can function well. For me the following has worked: 1) Read the book “The Migraine Miracle” by Dr. Josh Turknett. 2) Find a doctor that is certified in headache medicine (migraine research foundation.org). 3)The Diamond Headache Clinic (one of the nation’s best) is worth the time and flight to Chicago. My sincere best wishes for good health!
Hope you feel better soon Andrea!! And in the meantime so very glad our series is offering you some joy, entertainment and inspiration! Thanks so much for including Quintessence ! Xx Stacey
Please see a neurologist. Don’t fiddle around with constant headaches. Love Glam Pad! And Quintessence!
YouTube is dangerous. I refuse to upgrade to a subscriptions but videos like this one make it tempting. I loved the Carolyne Roehm one!
I hope your head is feeling better xx
Botox. I know when six months has gone by because the daily headaches return. Go to the doctor and they are gone. It is why it was invented!

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!
- Every day each car in Moscow metro passes more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
- Moscow subway system is the 5th in the intensity of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
- The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is 90 seconds .

WEATHER ALERT
A rip current statement in effect for Coastal Broward and Coastal Miami Dade Regions
Sean paul helped bring dancehall to the masses. with a new tour, he's ready to do it all over again.
Maria Sherman
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES – It has been 21 years since Sean Paul's dancehall anthem “Get Busy” topped the Billboard Hot 100 — which means “Get Busy” is finally old enough to hear “Get Busy” at the club.
“It's changed for me now," Sean Paul told The Associated Press over Zoom from his studio in Jamaica, reflecting on the song's legacy. “Because when I say, ‘Get busy,’ I'm telling the kids to do their homework or clean stuff up.”
Recommended Videos
In the years since Paul helped introduce dancehall riddims and reggae to new audiences, he's released six ambitious albums, including two straight out of the coronavirus pandemic: 2021's “Live n Livin” and 2022's “Scorcha.” He's become a father and a devoted husband. (The “Jodi” in the “Get Busy” lyric “Shake dat ting, yo, Donna Donna / Jodi and Rebecca”? That's his wife.) And his ambition to make joyful, danceable music has never wavered.
“It's a timeless piece for me,” he says of “Get Busy.” “Every time I try to do a song, I try to put the same butterflies that I had in my belly when I was flirting with the first girl on the first dance floor I went to. It's just a feeling.”
That translates to his goal of bringing positivity to the masses.
“I have a lot of help with the riddim tracks, the genre itself is very infectious,” he says. “It gives you joy.”
His dedication comes from life experience.
“I had a lot of problems, as most teenagers do, trying to find themselves, trying to understand what life’s about. You know, my father was in prison. It was a single mom situation, and she was struggling to make sure that we were conscious beings,” he says.
Music was the release.
Now, he's taking that energy on a 22-date U.S. run dubbed the “Greatest Tour,” kicking off May 2 at House of Blues in Orlando, Florida, and ending June 16 at the Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Why am I doing it now? I feel that the people are ready for me again,” Paul says.
“I did some work with some reggaetón acts last year,” he adds, referencing new dancefloor hits, including the massive “Niña Bonita” with Feid and “Dem Time Deh” with Colombian singer Manuel Turizo .
He's also released a few solo singles, including the infectious “Greatest,” and promises more conscious songs in the future — thematically not unlike 2016's “Never Give Up.”
“There’s a lot of struggles here in Jamaica as well as it being, you know, a very beautiful place. But we do have our struggles that we have to deal with,” he says. “A lot of people don’t know me for that type of material, but, you know, it’s as important in my career."
At his shows, fans will get a little taste of everything. But “good vibes,” mostly, he says: “I think people feel the fun from me and it bounces back and forth."

At Tampa concert, Madonna reminds us why she’s the queen
- Maggie Duffy Times staff
TAMPA — She kept us waiting for hours in Amalie Arena.
But once Madonna took the stage a full two hours past the scheduled start of the 8:30 p.m. show, that didn’t matter. For the next two hours, the Queen of Pop showed us why she owns the title, and the multi-generational crowd gave back just as much energy.
DJ Mary Mac 5 Star set the vibe with a lively set. Then Bob the Drag Queen, dressed up like Marie Antoinette, got the crowd even more hyped as he introduced Madonna.
The singer’s Celebration Tour includes hits from the past four decades — the entirety of Madonna’s career — and features a troupe of dancers surrounding Madonna and working the stage, which had a long runway and elements suspended from the ceiling. Screens flashed video montages of photographs, artwork, scenes of New York City.
The tour was postponed last summer after Madonna suffered a severe bacterial infection that led to her being in a medically-induced coma for 48 hours . It’s pretty impressive that she’s bounced back relatively quickly.
After performing “Nothing Else Matters” — a song about how having children changed her life — alone on the stage, she was joined by dancers dressed as early 1980s punks for “Everybody” and “Into the Groove.”
Next, Madge grabbed an electric guitar and took us back to the iconic New York City punk club CBGB, where she first performed “Burning Up.”
Then she addressed the audience, saying that the show was the story of her life and she wanted us to “feel all the feels.”
“And really, Tampa, I’m only here every 40 years, so you should appreciate it,” she said, referring to the fact that she’s only performed here once before, in 1985.
She was accompanied by a person wearing a blank face mask throughout the show, who represented a younger version of herself that has stuck with her through the years. She gave herself a hug and reminded us to not forget where we came from.
“This isn’t a pop show, it’s more of a retrospective,” she said. “It’s performance art.”
Indeed. During “Open Your Heart,” there were nods to the memorable music video featuring a peepshow, and “Holiday” took us to a New York City nightclub, where the party reached a dizzying height, then took a heartbreaking turn as dancers started to fall to the ground. The refrain “Holiday” repeated as a haunting echo.
This led to a segment honoring those who were lost to AIDS, accompanied by a montage of their photographs while she performed “Live to Tell.” It began with a photo of former Tampa Bay resident Martin Burgoyne .

The segment culminated with an emotional “Like a Prayer,” with dancers’ bodies morphing into poses of Jesus Christ during crucifixion and other feats of physicality. There was a nod to Prince — who had played guitar on the original track — with a guitarist wearing a purple-patterned suit and a sample of the spoken intro of “Let’s Go Crazy.”
Madonna has always been a strong and vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and this concert was a big kiss to it. Ballroom culture was celebrated in a joyful segment during “Vogue,” which featured her daughter Estere as the DJ. Dancers walked the runway
to be judged by Madonna and guest Monét X Change.
It wouldn’t be Madonna if there wasn’t a steamy sexual element, and that came with sensual choreography on “Erotica,” “Justify My Love” and “Hung Up,” then turned almost remorseful with “Bad Girl,” on which her daughter Mercy played the piano.
Things took a tender turn with “Mother and Father,” which she dedicated to her mother, who died when she was very young. A photo of her was on a screen, as was the photo of her adopted son David’s mother, who died in childbirth. David also accompanied on guitar.
Among her many costume changes, Madonna went Western chic and played “Express Yourself” on her guitar, which she slung over her back for “La Isla Bonita.” She donned a silver bodysuit and long pink wig as she flew over the stage in a square for “Ray of Light.”
A dedication to Michael Jackson came with a “Billie Jean” / “Like a Virgin” mashup, with dancers dressed like the duo silhouetted on a screen.
Madonna has dealt with the pressures of celebrity’s obsession with youth, which is alluded to with sound bites of her saying “To age is a sin” and “The most controversial thing I’ve ever done is to stick around.” People may expect her, at age 65, to act or dress a certain way. But instead, she reminds us what a trailblazer she is during “B---- I’m Madonna,” with dancers dressed in her most iconic looks through the years.
Whatever you do, don’t expect Madonna to stop.

2024 women's NCAA Tournament Final Four dates, game times, TV, location, teams and more
The stars will be out on Friday night in the women's Final Four.
Iowa's Caitlin Clark , South Carolina's Kamilla Cardoso, UConn's Paige Bueckers and NC State's Aziaha James will all take the court in Cleveland with a trip to the national championship game on the line, and each has their own calling card as they enter the championship rounds.
Clark's story is well-documented at this point , but endlessly impressive nonetheless: She put together a Her-culean effort in Iowa's win over LSU in the Elite Eight, with a 41-point game (and a bit of revenge). Cardoso has been a force in the paint for the Gamecocks, and she'll look to take her game to the next level at the conclusion of the women's tournament.
J ames has exploded in the tournament , capping off brilliant performance after brilliant performance with a 7-for-9 night from 3-point land in the Wolfpack's win over Texas in the Elite Eight. Last, and certainly not least, Bueckers wants to cap off this UConn run with that elusive championship – but she plans to run it back with the Huskies next season should things go south between now and then.
