Last Night by The Traveling Wilburys

last night travelling wilburys lyrics

  • She was there at the bar, she heard my guitar She was long and tall, she was the queen of them all Last night, thinking about last night Last night, thinking about last night She was dark and discreet, she was light on her feet We went up to her room, and she lowered the boom Last night, thinking about last night Last night, thinking about last night Down below they danced and sang in the street While up above the walls were steaming with heat Last night, thinking about last night Last night, thinking about last night I was feeling no pain, feeling good in my brain I looked in her eyes, they were full of surprise Last night, talking about last night Last night, talking about last night I asked her to marry me, she smiled and pulled out a knife "The party's just beginning," she said, "it's your money or your life." Last night, talking about last night Last night, talking about last night Now I'm back at the bar, she went a little too far She done me wrong, all I got is this song Last night, thinking about last night Last night, thinking about last night Last night, talking about last night Last night, talking about last night Last night, thinking about last night Writer/s: Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty Publisher: Gone Gator Music, Wixen Music Publishing Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

great supporting cast also I might say if you don't know who is in this band you'll be surprised at the big names you'll find!

unfortunately they only came out with a few albums.

  • 1 Reply Log in to reply

that's because Roy Orbison died in the middle of the second album and they didn't want to go on without him.

definately did 'em justice that's for damn sure!

HA HA DAMN IM A LOSER I USE TO THINK IT SAID

THINKIN BOUT GLADIS KNIGHT

LIKE THAT WAS A CHICK OR SOMETHING BUT I LUV THIS SONG........... NOW I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS

I am pretty sure this is a mostly Tom Petty song.. he sings most of it and it sounds like his writing. Such a great song.

The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Originating from an idea discussed by Harrison and Lynne during the sessions for Harrison's 1987 album Cloud Nine, the band formed in April 1988 after the five members united to record a bonus track for Harrison's next European single. When this collaboration, "Handle with Care", was deemed too good for such a limited release, the group agreed to record a full album, titled Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. Following Orbison's death in December 1988, the Wilburys continued as a quartet and released a second album, titled Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, in 1990. 5. Last Night by The Traveling Wilburys

The song tells the story of a very memorable night when our hero meets a lithesome lady at a bar and earns an invitation to her room. It all goes according to plan until he asks her to marry him, perhaps in jest. She pulls out a knife and robs him. The story ends with the singer back in the bar, telling his tale. At least he got a song out of it.
