This two-hour nighttime tour will allow you to explore the Buda Castle district and hear spooky tales and history about the area. As a bonus, you'll be immersed within a storytelling experience, not just a history and folklore tour.

You'll hear about the sordid history of the country from the 15th–17th centuries, the myths behind Vlad Dracula and Elizabeth Báthory and other vampire stories from the 19th century.

While you listen to stories about medieval Hungary, you'll see medieval walls and castle ruins as well as be able to take in the night's skyline from atop the hill.

The Castle Night Tour is a 2 hour tour which runs Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the year. It does not run on Saturdays, I am afraid.

Dear Moonie, the Night Tour ends at 11pm. Luckily the Castle Bus (bus no. 16) is running until 11.47 pm every night, so you will be able to leave the Castle area after the tour.

Dear Jesse, The meeting point of the Castle Night Tour is at the Statue of the Zero Kilometre Stone near the Funicular at the foot of the Buda Castle Hill (Buda side of the Chain Bridge), on Clark Adam Square. Yes, you can buy a student ticket, but please make sure you will have a valid student ID card with you to show upon arrival.

The newly announced shows take place in September and October and feature support from Dirty Hit ’s Been Stellar .
