Any truck that is in good working order. That meets the minimum truck requirements. If your truck has been recently built we require at a minimum 250 miles on it to ensure its in proper working order.

No worries! Just keep an open mind. The essence of off-roading is driving within your comfort zone and visibility. This guarantees a safe and enjoyable trip. Remember, it’s not a race; we’re here to support all trucks, whether fast or slow.

We have experienced mechanics on-site to ensure you’re well taken care of. In case your truck cannot be repaired on the trail, we have a chase truck ready to pick it up and bring it back to the hotel. From there, we will diligently work on repairing your truck. If, despite our efforts, we are unable to fix it locally and it needs to be repaired in the USA, we will tow your truck back at no additional cost. Your satisfaction and peace of mind are our top priorities.

Absolutely! We take pride in being a family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy a memorable experience together. From the youngest to the oldest, there’s something for everyone. Our dedicated team ensures a safe and welcoming atmosphere so that you and your loved ones can create cherished memories while having the time of your lives. Come join us for an adventure that will leave smiles on the faces of every family member!

We appreciate your interest in bringing your furry friend, but unfortunately, we have to prioritize the safety and comfort of all participants. As much as we love animals, our off-roading adventures are not suitable for accommodating dogs. The rough terrain and unpredictable conditions might not be suitable for pets, and we wouldn’t want to put them or any of our participants at risk.

However, we assure you that we are constantly exploring ways to provide pet-friendly activities in the future. For now, we recommend finding a safe and enjoyable environment where your dog can have a blast while you’re out having fun on our thrilling off-road adventures. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you on our trails soon!

Thank you for considering our off-roading adventure! We understand that plans can sometimes change, and we want to ensure a fair policy for our participants. To secure your spot on the trip, we do require a deposit, which is fully refundable if you decide to cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled trip date.

However, if unforeseen circumstances arise after this 30-day window, and you are unable to join us for the current trip, don’t worry! We honor a full credit that you can use for any future runs. This credit can be applied for any reason you can’t make it to the trip, giving you the flexibility to join us on a later date that suits you better.

We value our participants and aim to provide the best experience possible, so rest assured that we’ll be here to support you throughout your off-roading journey. Welcome to EXO 

EXO was born out of true passion for sharing the experience and thrill of off-roading. In 2011, we began our journey as just a group of friends who organized informal off-road runs and soon realized the demand for a more professional and organized experience.

After years of runs and trail experiences in the US, we held our first run in Baja Mexico in 2014.  In addition to pre-running and planning, we invested time and resources building relationships with local Baja contacts, ensuring cooperation and assistance where needed.  With over a decade of experience and well over half a million dirt-miles under our belts, you will not find a more experienced team than Expedition X Offroad.

We understand our adventures are bucket list experiences for our participants so we do not take this responsibility lightly. We focus on a true worry-free experience. All you need to do is show up and we handle the rest.  Our goal is to provide a VIP experience to every participant, which we have become known for.

Our trail leaders excel at keeping the group moving, regardless of any mechanical issue you or any of the participants may experience. In the rare event our professional mechanics can’t address your issues on the trail, we have a chase truck and trailer (stocked with spare parts, a welder, and generator) shadowing the group to provide additional assistance if needed. 

Finally, upon arrival to the hotel each day, our support crew ensures a swift check-in process by preparing all rooms in advance while providing a cold drink with a shot of tequila to celebrate our victories on the trail.

Picture this: You’re behind the wheel of a $100,000+ purpose-built off-road racecar driving at 70 mph over some of the most challenging yet exciting terrain in North America.  Suddenly, a small ridge is approaching fast and you feel a rush of adrenaline as you hit the throttle and lift off, soaring through the air like a professional Baja racer.  As you revel in the incredible gravity-defying moment, you peer over the front of the open-wheeled buggy to see the ground rapidly approaching. You’re committed now; there’s no time to ponder the landing. For those of us in the racing world, this view of Baja is a common experience, though it never gets old.

Wide Open has been leading tours of Baja from the seats of their Baja Challenge cars since 1997. And Wide Open Baja tours aren’t a run of the mill convoy type tour, nor are they for the faint of heart.  After a brief orientation course, tour guests get behind the wheel of their own Baja Challenge car and tour the Baja Peninsula at speeds with which they are comfortable.  Want to drive Baja at 70+ mph? Do it. Not comfortable at that kind of speed? That’s fine, too.  At Wide Open every tour is led by an experienced guide who knows the terrain, knows the vehicles and knows when to stop and let tour members catch up. The Go Baja Adventures Cabo Tour begins in Northern Baja and we will ride all the way down and across the peninsula to the Southern Baja tip and finish in Cabo San Lucas.

This all-inclusive off-road tour takes you to see 300-year-old Missions, untouched beaches, cactus forests, and some of the most beautiful bays and mountains on earth.

T he route loosely covers some of the traditional Baja 1000 racecourse, and then continues onto Cabo San Lucas, “The Lands’ End” .

This Go Baja adventure is for our most enthusiastic off-road riders.

Go beyond the limits of adventure and excitement on this spectacular drive through the stunning desert terrain . This isn’t your average sightseeing tour – it’s an adrenaline-pumping journey filled with fun and thrills.

Our adventure kicks off in Santiago, a charming and vivid little town that boasts one of Cabo’s oldest missions. From there, we’ll venture on to Fox Canyon, a true oasis hidden within the tropical desert . Picture yourself strolling along a river, discovering natural water slides , and stumbling upon a refreshing waterfall – the perfect spot for a rejuvenating swim.

And when the adventure fuels your appetite, we’ve got you covered. We’ll chow down on some mouthwatering authentic Mexican cuisine at a local restaurant. But don’t think the fun ends there! There will be plenty more to see and do on our return journey!

As you walk from the tender pier through the pier security gate, turn right on the red sidewalk that borders the harbor. The Gali Plaza will be on your left, the water on your right. Walk approximately 20 yards to the Cruise Terminal building. The building will be on your left and has a sign saying API in blue letters. Enter the terminal building and walk to the far side where you will exit onto a parking lot. At the parking lot exit, you will see an Oxxo convenience store. Your guide will be waiting in front of the store.

The meeting point is at the Plaza Gali parking lot, which is located right in front of the Sandos Finisterra hotel. We will meet you in front of the OXXO convenience store which is located at the exit of the parking lot.

Our round trip transportation covers hotels in San Jose del Cabo, the corridor, and the Cabo San Lucas tourist area. Pick up is approximately one hour before the start of your tour . Upon booking, you can specify your exact hotel. Please contact us to confirm your specific time of pick up one day before your scheduled tour.

We do not offer transportation from hotels outside of the tourist area, such as Hard Rock, Nobu, or Four Seasons (these are approx. 50 min. away from the tourist area); for those hotels, we will pick you up at our standard meeting point:

About your guide

Depending on availability, we use either Jeeps or Ford Broncos.

Due to insurance and permit regulations, only 4 passengers are allowed per vehicle, including the guide.

Our activities include transportation, within the center and hotel zone of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

The hotels that do not include transportation because they are outside the city center are Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho Cabo San Lucas, Four Seasons, El Encanto de la Laguna, we can pick you up at our meeting point at the Oxxo in Plaza Gali which is located in front of the Sandos Finisterra hotel in Cabo San Lucas.

Lunch is included. We’ll take you to a local restaurant, offering 100% Mexican dishes such as fish tacos, chicken, beef, salsa, guacamole, tortilla chips, and refreshing flavored water. We also have a vegetarian option with salads, quesadillas, beans, rice, etc. Lunch is included but optional, so there is no discount offered on the activity if you choose not to go for lunch.

Since this is a private tour, you can decide whether or not to complete the full activity.

Yes, you have the option to choose your preferred pick-up time within the given time frame.

For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

No, all transfers are complementary and optional, therefore the price doesn’t change if you don’t use the transfer option.
