Princess cruise luggage tags ⚓ How to print your luggage tags through Princess cruise personalizer!

If you don’t want to carry your luggage onto the cruise ship yourself, you can drop off your luggage at the cruise port before you check in for your Princess cruise.

Then, your luggage will be delivered to your cabin!

But before you drop off your luggage, you will need to place a luggage tag created by Princess on all of the luggage that you want to drop off.

You can print off a luggage tag with your name on it yourself, and then you will place the luggage tag on your luggage on your own.

You only need the cruise luggage tags if you will be dropping off your luggage to have your bags delivered to your cabin by someone else.

If you will be carrying all of your bags onto the cruise ship yourself, then you do not need the Princess cruise luggage tags.

These cruise luggage tags are similar to the tags that are put on your bags when you do checked baggage for your flight .

The Princess cruise luggage tags will identify your bags so they will end up at your cabin on the cruise ship.

Your luggage will be delivered directly to your cabin.

It is typically left in the hallway outside your cabin.

Important note: You may not get your checked cruise luggage until later in the day. So if there’s anything you want to have immediately upon boarding the cruise ship, then be sure to have a separate carry-on bag for that.

So you can print these luggage tags that identify your luggage at home before you leave for your cruise.

You will need to print out as many luggage tags as you have bags, plus you might want to print off extra just in case.

If you won’t be using any cruise luggage tag holders, may also want to bring along some basic tape so you can tape the luggage tags to increase the chance of not ripping the luggage tags.

You will also want to bring a mini-stapler to staple part of the tag.

If you’re flying with your luggage and you will be checking it in for your flight, you generally don’t want to attach the cruise luggage tags for your flight.

Or if you do, have extra luggage tags in case the tags get ripped in the process or something.

Do you need to print the Princess cruise luggage tags?

You don’t NEED to print the cruise luggage tags before you arrive at the cruise port.

If you don’t have a chance to print the luggage tags (or can’t), then you can also get tags for your luggage when you arrive at the cruise ship terminal.

But most people like to have them printed off before they arrive.

It will reduce an extra step you need to do at the cruise port on embarkation day.

If you’re traveling and/or you don’t have access to a printer, then in the US you can go to a place like fedex to print off your luggage tags.

You can do self-service printing at fedex .

To do this, you can first save a copy of the luggage tag as a pdf.

Then, you can either email that pdf to yourself or save it to a USB.

Then, you can access either your email or that USB when you go to fedex to print off your luggage tags.

Another option to print your cruise luggage tags is to go to a local library.

You don’t need to be a resident of the local community to go to the library!

How to print your Princess cruise luggage tags

  • Log into your account at princess.com
  • Go to “my account”
  • Go to “manage this booking” for the cruise you want to print luggage tags
  • Go to “check-in”
  • Look for “guest check-in status” and go to “print travel summary” (this will not immediately take you to print anything)
  • You are now on a “documents” page
  • Look for “luggage tags” and go to “print luggage tag”!
  • This will take you to a luggage tag personalized with your name, cruise, and cabin number
  • Go to “print luggage tag” and PRINT! (Or save as PDF in order to print from elsewhere.)

Would Expect a Whole Lot More from Princess

Princess claims to be ahead of the technology game with Medallion Net so I would expect the one and only tool Princess directs is to use is full of faults. Granted I can do pre-cruise checkins but we have 12 upcoming cruises and 2 are back to back and 3 are back to back to back and this app only allows you to visit excursions, make dining reservations and view itineraries on the 1st leg of any of the multiple cruises. We have a back to back on different ships and again, I can only see excursions or make dining plans on the first of the 2 cruises. Even though we are on different ships! Old app had numerous problems but there were ways to navigate through app to get things done albeit app was very slow to load. This app is way slower and useless in many of the needed functions. I have had to rely on using the online webpage and using my planner at Princess. I think if they are going to push us to use this app starting today (3/8), they should have made it much more usable then it is now.

Leaves much to be desired

Princess Cruise points the customer to this app, but aside from entering pre boarding information, it is a bit cumbersome. Maybe once we board on ship, it may be helpful. Some info should be menu options and not navigating through other selections like ship layout. UPDATE: This app is the worse. Can’t depend that it processed anything correctly. Example, ordering the stupid Medallion. It would not appear to have processed the order. Then I get two emails congratulating me on my order and indicating I had selected to have the Medallions shipped to my home, which was correct. But the status would show process as outstanding. I assumed maybe because the order was not shipped yet. I then get a marketing email about upcoming cruise and completing the process. Now the app shows order status as two outstanding orders. So I call to find out what is outstanding. Agent tells me I am picking up Medallions at port, i.e., the slow process which defeats the whole purpose. I argued I had email indicating i did select to be shipped to my house. Bottom line, agent fixed everything and gave me date supposed to arrive. Now I don’t trust anything I do with the app. Especially since it keeps popping up Error screens. Awful app.

App and Shoreside Customer Service Need an Overhaul

We cruised with Princess right after the roll out of Medallion Class. The technology for the wearable has lots of potential, but the app was horrendous. We just booked another cruise with them, and I was excited to see a new app! Unfortunately, it’s been just as bad. Technical error message when I try to make dining reservations, and shoreside customer service is like dealing with the worst cable company’s customer service you can imagine. Five different reps, and none would acknowledge it was a technical issue with the app until I escalated it to a supervisor. Different departments don’t talk to one another, and one rep even told me dining reservations weren’t in his job description. Not exactly a welcoming way to put you in a vacation mindset. Princess - you need to do better with the app and with your customer service! Make it match the experience on your ships!

Help! I don't know where else to turn. Ever since we downloaded the Windows servicepak2 I can't access the Cruise Peronalizer at the Princess website. Has anyone else had this problem and could share the solution? :confused:

No problem here.. Are you sure you have the correct booking number? I would double check with your TA and do not forget to use the identical name that you booked the cruise under. Also, have you tried accessing it using another computer?

Yes, I had the same problem with several sites, not just the personalizer. I wrote Bill in Redmond and got no response. A friend at work had the same problem. We both "uninstalled SP2" and have been error free since.

I've heard ALOT of complaints about SP2 on a tech website. The consensus is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".....(don't install)

How does one "uninstall" it? (I THINK that I may have downloaded it a few weeks ago. Where would I find it?

Was in the Princess Personalizer a few moments ago, updating passport info, when machine "denied me access" under my booking number.

Phoned 1-800-Princess, they said they were experiencing "server problems", and took the info over the phone.

Sometimes the old-fashioned method works better.

Uh Oh! This may explain why I've been having problems also. Thanks for the heads-up guys. Druke, I think I'll try that old fashioned method myself. :)

Was on the personalizer just now...no problems.

The problem was not with the Cruise Personalizer, but with the servicepak2. After serveral hours (!) of online help with Microsoft, we finally just unistalled the servicepak2. This takes alot of time. Then I had to run the system restore program. This also took alot of time. But BOTH were necessary for me to get access to secure sites again. Finally all done. Whew!

I'd rather be cruising!

Wierd as I have SP2 and have no problems going into any sites

How do I access cruise personalizer?

Our upcoming cruise is our first medallion class cruise. Always before when I logged onto my princess there was an option to select cruise personalizer. Now it says check in but when I do that it just tells me to download the app.

Can someone help me access the cruise personalizer?

This is correct and here is another nightmare of princess right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing:

We are booked on the August 1st Majestic cruise.  We received an upsell offer (from inside to balcony, $199 pp YAY!) I emailed immediately that we wanted to take advantage of it.  The Upsell Dept. replied that I needed to add my credit card info into cruise personalizer and they would process the request.  I have already filled out all the info in the app but I assumed that there must be somewhere else I needed to enter it.  However, I couldnt find anywhere online to put it in.

I called customer service and they were telling me to access cruise personalizer the old way.  After repeatedly telling them that it just says to download the app she put me on hold and was gone for a long time.  When she came back she said that several depts. are not aware that cruisers cant access the old cruise personalizer!  And that THEY cant see anything we enter in the app.

She had spoke with someone higher up and the response was basically, "oh, this could be a problem".

How does this always happen with princess tech people?  I love princess, but they always seem befuddled when it comes to technology!

She was able to enter my card info for me and now I am waiting to hear from the upsell people!  Fingers crossed!

"Oh, this could be a problem." That would be very funny except that it is not. Princess has been my favorite cruise line, but I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that I shall not sail with them again!

Reads like situation normal when it comes to Princess IT dept.  The CIO should have been keel-hauled and walk-the-plank ages ago.

You were in the Cruise Personalizer on Princess.com website.  It is still there, but most of the registration functionality was moved to the Medallion Class App.  If you have a smartphone that is reasonably current, you should be able to download the App and use it to enter and review information.  Lots of posts and info on Ocean Medallion App 3 sticky thread at top of Princess board.

The issue was that the people in customer service and the upsell department can't see anything we've entered into the app, including credit card info. They never stored that in the the cruise personalizer like they do your passport info.

Sounds like Princess' website and app has all of the functionality and issues that I always encounter with Disney so I'll feel right at home.

My memory fails me. Did we used to add our credit card number to Personalizer ? I guess we must have done so, can't think of anywhere else I would have given CC info. I am wary of sites that store CC information and have been reluctant to add it to Medallion far in advance of cruise date. Out TA does not store CC info and I need to give it to her when ever a payment is due - I prefer that. My preference would be for Princess to store CC info just for the duration of the cruise.

Will cruise with Princess 2 more times as we have booked with friends for both. We have booked an Oceania for 2022 to try it out. We have sailed with Azamara once and would definitely do it again.

Love it.When you say "situation normal" I see: SNAFU

For those who didn't know, the word snafu is actually an acronym for: Situation Normal All F***** Up.  If one is being nice they can use the word "fouled" in that acronym but...

Princess IT has always boggled my mind. It's amazing to me that they can be so totally inept. As for the CIO - that is Marshall Lancaster and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he is getting a huge bonus. That seems to be how things work.

You used to have to enter your credit card info in the cruise personalizer or give a credit card at check-in.  I read some people put cash into their account at guest services in lieu of a credit card.

I’ve thrown my hands up in frustration and disgust with the Princess app, it’s a piece of *****. I got it downloaded, information loaded, pictures taken all good to go. I have green checks on everything but the Passage Contract, when I hit acknowledge nothing happens, I guess I’m not the only one with this problem. I also don’t have the Dine line on my app. I called the help line, the navigator didn’t squat about the app. I tried to call again today, hopping I’d get someone who knew something, fat chance. I was on hold for 20 minutes and a lady answered the phone she said she didn’t know anything about the app and transferred me to someone who help, I gave up after another 20 minutes. We sail in 53 days so I’m one wasting my time on this piece of *****.
