  • Go26814801892 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Way better than the crappy roast-beef-dinner cruises. Everything was perfect: 1. Crew was awesome. 2. Ship had character. 3. Cruise style: light and casual bar and food service, as opposed to a 2-star sit-down roast-beef buffet on the other cruises (been there.... numerous times - so I can say it with confidence) Only thing I wish that happened is that the cruise was longer and to a better location. This is why 4 out of 5 stars. Our cruise went out for 30min towards the east end (not far enough to clear the islands), then turned around and went back the same way. 60min total. Quite boring in terms of view. I would have gladly paid 50%, or 100% more, for a 50% longer cruise to a more interesting end of the islands.... But all in all - I would recommend. It turned out we enjoyed this one much more than the dinner cruise because you are out in the open and right by the water all the time. The dining room of a dinner cruise is served inside so you have to go to the outside deck to be in the open. If you manage to grab the patio chairs on the side, you can sit comfortably by the water throughout the cruise. It's a bonus for older people who can't stand for too long. What our Clients are Saying About Our Toronto Boat Cruises

Exert from letter:"......The Captain and crew were exceptional in making everyone feel welcome. The Captain was most patient in answering the constant flow of questions from the youngsters and permitting them the thrill of a turn a the helm. The crew enlisted several of the passengers to assist in hoisting the sails which gave them a great sense of involvement. Needless to say the experience was very educational as well as fun for all." Come sailing on Seattle’s Tall Ship, a historic 19th-century style gaff-rigged schooner. We offer three public sailing tours daily from Seattle’s downtown waterfront. Our beautiful sailing ship, the Bay Lady, evokes the romance of traditional sailing as we work together to set the sails, turn off the engine, and sail off into an age of cannon fire and sunsets behind the untouched mountain ranges of the Puget Sound. Bay Lady is the largest charter sailboat in Seattle. With her high railing and comfortable seating, she is the premier boat ride for families. My girlfriend and I had such a great experience with this tour. It was an experience I won't soon forget. If you're looking for a unique way to see the city, this is it. Now, the ship - it's this awesome old-school tall ship with these massive sails. But here's the best part: the crew gets you involved. I'm talking about helping with the sails and learning some sailor stuff. It's super chill, no pressure, but totally adds to the whole adventure. One of the highlights for me was the tranquility of it all. There's something about being on the water that's incredibly peaceful. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Best family experience on the water in beautiful Seattle! Kind employees who are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, personable and happy! Will recommend anyone to take their family and friends here for a fun day out on the water. I took my out of town guests all for our first time and we had such a relaxing experience on the water with absolutely gorgeous views of the Seattle skyline and Washington mountains. Prices were worth the experience and the crew were amazing and fun. They sell chips and cookies, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on board and have two restrooms and sinks to wash your hands. I would definitely go on this boat again and again! Thank you guys for a memorable day and letting us help hoist up the sail and steer the wheel! Ahoy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The crew were all personable and friendly. They worked hard to ensure a safe and fun cruise. I highly recommend this company. We were fortunate that we had a beautiful evening, although a bit chilly. But the crew had blankets available for everyone on board. I would definitely do this again.

So great! We had such an amazing time aboard the Tall Ship and the crew made the experience absolutely unforgettable. My son is into sailing ships and pirates and so it was awesome that he had a chance to hoist up the masts as the ship set sail. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great way to see the Sound and Seattle! We lucked out with sunny skies and a magical sunset.

What a great time! The crew was outstanding and it wonderful to be on the water and see an amazing sunset. You can even assist with raising the sails if you want.

A beautiful sunset aboard a tall ship, things dreams are made of. The crew was fantastic, the boat was nice. We had a wonderful time, met some great people, highly recommend.

toronto tall ship boat cruise reviews

We had a really nice summer evening on Seattle Tall Ship. We bought tickets for the sunset tour online and had to move them to a later date, which I did via text in accordance with their instructions. Easy. On the new day, we arrived early at the terminal and were ushered over to a waiting area on the pier. We received a quick safety brief, boarded and were underway quickly. Know that seating is first come first served so if you're early in line you'll get a better choice. Once you settle in to your seat it's kind of a free for all, and I imagine most of their tours sell out like ours did, so every seat will be taken. They offer drinks for purchase (it was a little ambiguous if this was included, it's not) and we enjoyed the casual narration throughout the tour of Elliott Bay. You can help lift the sails if you want. They fired off a little toy cannon at one point (cheesy) but otherwise the tour was largely devoid of any touristy chintz. Overall it was a good money for value experience, a great tourist event within easy walking distance of downtown, would make a good date or good for out of town guests. We'd come back for the last reason for sure.

Photo of Superman K.

Excellent evening on the water watching the sunset. It was pretty chilly so bring a jacket and wear pants. Drinks were available for purchase. Snacks of some sort would be great if provided. Maybe some commentary of the history of the area and pointing out what's what would be nice. Overall an outstanding evening and would highly recommend.

"Big Nude Boat" offers a trip to "bare-adise" on a naked cruise from Florida

By Li Cohen

Updated on: May 2, 2024 / 8:20 AM EDT / CBS News

Like to travel light? One cruise ship soon to set sail from Florida is making sure all you need is the bare necessities – no shoes, no clothes but plenty of service.

" The Big Nude Boat " will take travelers from Miami to the Caribbean on "an 11-day adventure back to Bare-adise," the website says. Setting sail from Feb. 3 through Valentine's Day 2025, the trip offers a "stress-free, clothes-free experience" during which up to 2,300 passengers can roam the ship in the nude while out at sea.

"It's our pleasure to provide you with the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear," Bare Necessities Tour and Travel says.

@cbsmornings Would you dare to set sail on a nude cruise? 🚢 Cruisebare's upcoming full-ship nude cruise, departing from Miami in February next year, is making waves. Even #TonyDokoupil is down to go. 🌊 #cruises #vacation #experience #miami #sail ♬ original sound - CBS Mornings

Passengers won't be allowed to be naked when the ship is docked, but can ditch their usual attire once they are anchored or out on the water. And when clothing is optional, standard nudist etiquette must be abided by, the website says. When sitting, nude passengers must either wear a thong or sit on a towel or some kind of fabric. And while the self-serve buffet on the pool deck is a clothes-free area, passengers must be dressed for all dining room meals – and no, bathrobes don't count.

Photos and videos will also not be permitted unless all individuals being documented give consent.

"The Big Nude Boat" is just one of the cruises offered by Bare Necessities, which says on its website that the company has been "working to break down the barriers against social nudity and make clothing-optional vacationing a viable and acceptable option for all."

"Social nudity is not a sexual activity, and we strive to dispel the misconception that it is anything but natural and beautiful," the company says. "We have made strides in the acceptance of nude vacationing and our wide range of cruise charters are a testament to our success."

  • Gail F 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles disappointed with everything My husband and I booked a dinner cruise in Brockville on September 1/2019. Cost was 85.00 each. We were sitting down stairs which was nicely set up tables with table cloths. What we were to get for 85 dollars was appetizers to start...(got none..no one came down stairs) the Buffet was limited..not at all what the menu stated. A buffet is you can serve yourself..not the case. I received very little and when I asked for more I was told no but I was welcomed to come back at the end. I did wait but being downstairs there was no anouncement for seconds. I never have left a review before so I am sorry if this sounds stupid. The boat was very packed with people having no place to sit so they could eat. Huge disappoinment for 160.00...could have much more with my money...oh yes if you wanted something to drink you paid for that too. Oh well live and learn. I wish I had a review like this one to read before booking tickets. Read more Written 7 September 2019
  • Batnaby 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Dinner on board the Empire Sandy Had a fantastic time cruising on the Empire Sandy in Brockville. Went for the dinner cruise. The food was fabulous. I don't know how they prepared such delicious fresh food on board a ship! Not everyone had a seat at the tables below decks so I actually sat on the deck but I am fairly able and flexible so not a problem for me. The stars were amazi g! The sunset beautiful. Crew were very friendly and professional. DJ was entertaining. It's lovely to sail along the river to music. It's also fascinating to see the workings of these old ships. I'll be there next time!! The trip on the Kajama was for my friend's surprise 30th birthday. The ship was sold out, but it wasn't cramped. Such a great afternoon out and it was a lovely a hot day. There's a bar and food on board to purchase (they take credit card). It's a great way to see the city skyline. Beautiful and warm with a refreshing breeze to bring the wind through your hair and introduce the scent of fresh great lake water to your nostrils. The sails were run up the masts accenting the vista and the majesty of the experience. We caught the full sunset and the shore-light experience of Toronto, all from a vessel known as a Tall Ship. • sfk232019 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Nice surprise We wanted to go on the cruise that serves dinner but they were all booked for the long weekend we were there, so we took this tallship instead. The Tall Ship Boat Cruise was very relaxing (with music playing relatively softly in the background) and enjoyable for the family! It was great to see Canada from the sea. The crew sang a song as well as spoke of the history of the ship. Other than that, great space to enjoy family company!

  11. Toronto Tall Ship Boat Cruise

The most boring harbor cruise ever. The boarding process took forever … we left the dock … we "sailed" for about 45 minutes, then sailed back to the dock. The city scenery was ok, but that was it. And, they advertised as a "tall ship boat cruise", but the crew only raised 1 sail the entire time. Very disappointed.
