Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Gaming Headset: was $179.99 now $99.99 at Amazon Our 4.5-star review of this wireless headset stems from the fact that it’s a great sounding one with stellar build quality and a decently long battery life. Secretlab TITAN 2020 Gaming Chair NAPA leather: was $999 now $749 at Secretlab.co Its sturdy construction and premium materials are just some of the reasons we gave the Secretlab Titan 2020 gaming chair a 4.5 out of 5 review . We also appreciated its high level of comfort and the fact that it can accommodate larger gamers. In fact, our main complaint is the price, something that’s exacerbated if you get it in leather. X-Chair X2 K-Sport Mesh Management Chair: was $1,069.99 , now $894.99 at X-Chair This gaming chair has gotten its 4.5 out of 5 rating in our review for a few reasons. To start, it comes with excellent lumbar support. It’s also easy to clean and has plenty of customization and upgrade options. Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair: was $1,795.00 , now $1,346.25 at Herman Miller We were blown away by the Herman Miller Embody when we reviewed it. Very few chairs score a 4.5 out of 5 for us. And, this one did for its incredible comfort, stunning design, and the fact that it arrived with no setup necessary. It’s biggest flaw, as with most Herman Miller chairs, is that shocking price. Luckily, this $1800 chair is getting 25% off for the holidays so you can put $449 back in your wallet.

The best PC game deals for Black Friday

Michael Crider

The bacchanalia of consumerism that is Black Friday is generally focused on physical items — you can’t really market a “doorbuster” for a subscription deal to your local newspaper. But there are plenty of digital game stores that get in on the fun around this time of year, too. It’s definitely worth a look to see if you can find some deals, especially if you want some new titles to show off that new PC hardware you’re loading up on.

While there are literally hundreds of discounts to be found on PC games across the various storefronts, the absolute best bang for your buck is probably Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC, which is already the best deal in PC gaming at full price. Normally $10 a month for Netflix-style access to a few hundred PC games, a current promotion is letting players subscribe for three months for just one measly little dollar . In terms of sheer volume of games, you’re unlikely to ever see a better deal anytime this year.

Xbox Game Pass promo

At the time of writing, this promotion is working even if you’ve taken advantage of similar Xbox Game Pass discounts before. With high-profile games like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 coming out this season, it’s a great way to check out some of the newest blockbusters.

If you prefer to buy your games one at a time, here are a few that stood out to us. Check them out below, in no particular order:

Horizon Zero Dawn

$50 $25 on Epic Game Store

This sprawling post-apocalyptic sandbox game has an amazing mix of robo-dinosaur combat and surprisingly excellent sci-fi storytelling. Pick up the PC version to take advantage of mouse and keyboard bow-and-arrow action.

Back 4 Blood

$60 $42 on Steam

If you’ve been waiting for more than a decade for a new Left 4 Dead game, wait no more: This is essentially it, coming from a new development team that includes a lot of the old one.

Dead Cells

$25 $15 on Steam

One of the best 2D Metroidvanias of its year (and there were a few!), Dead Cells mixes punishing difficulty with rogue-lite power expansion and tight, lightning-fast combat.

Terraria

$10 $5 on Steam

Essentially Minecraft in 2D, with a bit more of a story focus. There’s nothing wrong with any of those elements, especially if you’re looking for a slow burn craft-em-up.

Curse of the Dead Gods

$20 $12 on Steam

This top-down combat game has a lot in common with Hades , but its creepy aesthetic and light-dark power setup will keep you on edge. The Aztec and Maya-inspired setting is particularly cool.

$30 $7.49 on Steam

A recent classic of the military simulation genre, this open-world shooter maintains a healthy online player population nearly a decade after its initial release. A vibrant modding community has helped a lot— Arma 3 mods served as the inspiration for both the battle royale genre and DayZ .

Guacamelee 2

$20 $5 on Steam

Sequel to a hilarious and unique Metroidvandia, Guacamelee 2 expands on the original’s luchador-inspired combat and movement with even more colorful and unique levels.

Red Dead Redemption II

$60 $30 on Epic Games Store

Look, if you’re a gamer and you haven’t heard about RDRII , I don’t know what to tell you. It’s one of the most acclaimed open-world games ever made, and it’s getting a significant discount right now.

Sayonara Wild Hearts

$13 $7.79 on Steam

Fans of the Dreamcast classic Rez , line up: your day has come. Sayonara Wild Hearts is technically a rhythm game, but it’s more of a playable pop album, mixing rhythmic button presses with mind-bending visuals.

Days Gone

$50 $30 on Steam

Originally a PS4 exclusive, this wide-open zombie shooter is now available on PC. While its setting and story are nothing to write home about, writhing hoards of hundreds of undead are a visual treat — if your GPU can handle it.

Death Stranding

$60 $18 on Steam

Another PlayStation import, this contemplative open world game comes from the creator of the Metal Gear series. Death Stranding defies description, but essentially it’s a mix of mind-bending surreal storytelling and surprisingly complicated package delivery.

Just Cause 3

$20 $3 on Steam

Just Cause might not be the best open world series, but it’s certainly one of the most fun. The third entry brings back its parachute-and-grappling hook movement system and ups the ante with a wingsuit. Once you’re done blowing up absolutely everything, Just Cause 4 is also on sale.

Borderlands 3

$60 $15 on Epic Game Store

This third fourth entry in the looter-shooter series finally ups the ante by moving the action off of planet Pandora, inviting you to explore a snarky universe of loot with your co-op friends.

Conan Exiles

$40 $12 on Epic Game Store

This online survival game has a lot in common with ARK , but it’s set in the iconic world of Conan the Barbarian. Explore, collect materials, fight off baddies and monsters, and build up a base full of overmuscled heroes.

$40 $10 on Steam

Strategy fans who find conquering just one planet to be frustratingly limited have a lot to lobe in Stellaris . This critically-acclaimed take on real-time strategy has an entire universe to explore and dominate.

Unrailed

$20 $6 on Steam

This voxelated top-down game has you building a train track through a small but colorful world, upgrading an always-moving locomotive as you go. Bring a friend: This one plays best in co-op.

Saints Row The Third

$40 $20 on Steam

The Saints Row series is long in the tooth now, but if you’ve never played this more goofy and cartoonish cousin of Grand Theft Auto , give it a chance. You might find that its ridiculous take on the crime sandbox is appealing. Saints Row 4 is also on sale.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut

$40 $20 on GOG.com

Disco Elysium is essentially an old-fashioned point-and-click adventure game with a few RPG elements, but its amazing dialogue, worldbuilding, and convention-defying gameplay made it an instant classic—it was our favorite PC game of 2019 .

Monster Prom

$12 $3.71 on Steam

What’s worse than trying to find a date to the prom, just three weeks away? Trying to do so when you attend a school full of classic movie monsters. This dating sim is a fun and goofy alternative to some of the more dramatic entries in the genre.

$20 $10 on Steam

This top-down twin-stick shooter is all about blowing away as many aliens as possible in as spectacular a manner as you can manage. Bring some friends along: 4-player co-op is encouraged, but watch where you’re shooting!

Thousands Of PC Games Discounted In New Black Friday Sale

Green Man Gaming is offering huge price cuts on Red Dead Redemption 2, Rollerdrome, The Quarry, and more.

By Jon Bitner on November 14, 2022 at 2:02PM PST

Green Man Gaming is offering huge deals ahead of Black Friday , making it easy to stock up on PC games this holiday season. Beyond its sprawling catalog of discounts, you’ll want to check back in every 48 hours, as the retailer is offering new “Star Deals” that will further lower prices on select titles.

As if discounted games weren’t enough, Green Man Gaming is running a Black Friday 2022 Giveaway that could secure you a bundle of free games and a free one-year subscription to GeForce Now. To enter the competition, all you need to do is buy a game during the Black Friday 2022 Sale.

Games on sale run the gamut from relaxing life sims to haunting narrative adventures. One of the best discounts right now is for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which is available for just $26. Gearbox’s other new release, New Tales from the Borderlands, is also on sale for $21. Both feature the same, stylized graphics and sophomoric humor that the Borderlands franchise is known for--and since both pulled in impressive reviews, now is a great time to add them to your library.

Other notable deals include The Quarry for $26, Red Dead Redemption 2 for $18, and Rollerdrome for $18. The latter is a particular standout, as it’s arguably one of the most inventive games of 2022. It takes a few minutes for the action to click, but when it does, you’ll be pulling off acrobatic moves as you land wild trick shots on increasingly difficult enemies.

If none of the above caught your eye, be sure to check out the full sale. We’ve also put together a short list of our favorite Black Friday deals at Green Man Gaming. Most of these are offered as Steam keys, although others must be redeemed on the Epic Games Store or other third-party platforms.

What gaming PC deals to expect this Black Friday

Black Friday 2023 is going to be bigger and better than in previous years with Amazon announcing that the sales event will officially last from the 17th to the 27th of November. It’s now been a whole year since we saw the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 released, meaning that we’re expecting these high-end GPUs to be much more frequently featured in gaming PC deals than they were last Black Friday. We’ve also seen some more recent exciting tech releases like the very latest Intel 14th Gen CPUs and the ever-popular 7000 Series AMD GPUs . Gaming PC Black Friday FAQs

Should you build a gaming pc or buy a gaming pc black friday deal.

Building a gaming PC not only gives you more value out of the new system but it can also be quite rewarding to learn a new skill. Building your own has a knock-on effect and when it comes time for upgrades, you can install them yourself too. Unfortunately, with current stock issues on certain components, prebuilt gaming PCs could be the way to go, especially if they are due a huge discount on Black Friday.

The main selling point behind a prebuilt is it saves you the hassle. We understand that not everyone knows how to build a computer and may not even have the time to learn this new skill, so the convenience of a prebuilt makes a lot of sense. Of course, there are many more benefits to buying a prebuilt gaming PC from manufacturers, obviously, it takes the stresses away from finding all the compatible components, while also preventing damage to said components when the time comes to build it.

With a prebuilt gaming PC, you are going to be able to send it back to the manufacturer if anything goes wrong. Furthermore, if you feel you need an upgrade, suppliers will often do this for you or at least insist you send it to them for an upgrade. Manufacturers will also dish out a warranty, usually covering parts and labor for around a year but some companies offer impressive warranties and you can always spend extra on insurance, giving you a lengthy/lifetime warranty.

Should I wait for Black Friday gaming PC deals to start?

If you’re in no rush to buy, then we’d say yes. Black Friday savings are great, but when it comes to gaming PCs, there are only going to be a select one or two models with huge savings, with the rest receiving a smaller amount. Now we are quite close to Black Friday, it is worth waiting to see what offers the different retailers have on prebuilt as there is likely to be a model that suits your gaming needs.

If you have saved up to buy a gaming PC at full price, hold out and wait for the Black Friday deals before making your final purchase. The worst-case scenario is you’ll just have to order that full price beast afterward if no suitable deals flow your way. You should be able to find something that suits you with deals listed on this page though.

Black Friday PC game deals 2022 - what to expect from Steam, Epic Games, and Ubisoft?

Black Friday PC game deals 2022 - what to expect from Steam, Epic Games, and Ubisoft?

Everything we know about the upcoming Black Friday PC gaming deals is right here

Is there any PC gamer who hasn’t heard of Black Friday? Each year at the end of November, the world starts to get excited about the upcoming season sale. Even though the phenomenon originated in the USA and is associated with the Friday after Thanksgiving, it quickly became a global event.

It’s important to note that in recent years, the time of huge discounts is not limited to a single day. Many retailers start offering great deals about a week early and continue their promotions through the weekend until Cyber Monday or even longer.

When is Black Friday 2022 and Cyber Monday 2022?

To prepare for the upcoming shopping craze, you need to know that Black Friday 2022 is on 25 November 2022 . However, numerous sales might start prior to this date. The event is followed by Cyber Monday on 28 November 2022 . We hope you started saving money some time ago because you won’t want to miss the best bargains!

Gamers are anticipating events like the Steam Black Friday Sale 2022 to pop up several days earlier. Last year, the Ubisoft Black Friday Sale started as soon as November 17, while Blizzard Black Friday began a day later. That’s more than one week before BF, so you need to have your eyes open!

Luckily, GG.deals is here to help! We will publish articles about every noteworthy shopping occasion you should know about. Be sure to visit our Black Friday PC game deals 2022 preset regularly to stay on top of bargains. News about the Epic Games Black Friday Sale 2022, Origin, and other special offers are bound to appear there as quickly as possible. Checking our page frequently guarantees you will not miss anything.

Steam Black Friday Sale 2022 – date, games, everything we know

Although its name in recent years doesn’t suggest it, Valve’s Autumn Sale will most likely serve as the Steam Black Friday Sale 2022. According to leaks, it will take place between 22 November and 29 November 2022. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation, but it’s pretty safe to assume that some fantastic opportunities will arise on Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

pc gamer tour black friday

Like any other sale on Valve’s platform, we predict that all bargains will be available from the very beginning. That means additional or time-limited offers are probably off the table. Therefore, you shouldn’t be worried about any Black Friday Steam deals slipping through your fingers. You will most likely have an entire week to carefully pick the titles you want to add to your library.

However, with the vast number of productions in its digital catalog, it may be difficult to find the best choices manually. Thankfully, visiting GG.deals is an excellent way of narrowing down your search. We use highly advanced filters and sorting functions that can aid you in identifying the best deals . Our automated rating system will first show you the most interesting games. What’s more, we have a “Historical Low” label which will instantly catch your attention if any of the titles you see is available for the lowest price ever recorded. Even though the Steam Black Friday Sale will most likely offer some great discounts, we will also let you compare the prices available in other digital stores and keyshops. They just might happen to be even cheaper!

pc gamer tour black friday

As for the productions that we’re expecting to go on sale, we have a few favorites. Elden Ring is a strong contender for Game of the Year, and since it launched at the beginning of 2022, it’s high time it got a new Historical Low! There are also numerous former PlayStation exclusives on PC that gamers would love to get their hands on for cheap. God of War , Spider-Man Remastered , and UNCHARTED Legacy of Thieves Collection are just some of the fantastic Sony releases that have hit the PC market since January. Also, we’re hoping for a FIFA 23 discount to accompany the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which starts just before Steam Black Friday. We’re pretty sure you have plenty of other ideas for games you would love to get heavily discounted. We’ll be happy to read about your most desired titles in the comments section below.

Epic Games Black Friday Sale 2022 – will we get an Epic Coupon and some great freebies?

Valve’s storefront isn’t the only one worth visiting around Thanksgiving time. Here at GG.deals, we are also very excited about the upcoming Epic Games Black Friday Sale 2022 . Last year the discount period lasted from November 23 until the end of the month. Some gamers are only loyal to Steam, but it’s worth noting that EGS has a couple of exciting exclusives we would like to buy cheap. Alan Wake Remastered is still available for PC players only from this distributor, and so is Sifu . Of course, let’s not forget Fortnite skins and DLCs. There are bound to be some great deals for those. You will be able to see them all thanks to our Fortnite preset .

When it comes to Epic, we are also expecting some exciting free productions! Last year’s Black Week freebies weren’t the biggest blockbusters, but they did include solid titles like Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) and theHunter: Call of the Wild . But to be honest, we’re hoping for some crazy decisions from Tim Sweeney’s camp! A big hit like Saints Row would definitely bring much attention to the Epic Games Black Friday Sale.

pc gamer tour black friday

Many gamers would probably be satisfied with the return of the glorious Epic Coupon. We haven’t seen it for a while, but we still remember it fondly. It allowed EGS users to get a 10 USD / 10 EUR / 10 GBP / 40 zł discount for all games with the price of at least 14.99 USD / 14.99 EUR / 13.99 GBP / 59.99 zł. The best thing about it was that once you used that digital gift card, you got another one automatically. We miss that promo a lot! It’s worth noting that GG.deals added the support for such a discount method to our price comparison tools back in 2020, and we are ready for it to return.

Will the Origin Black Friday Sale move to the EA app?

You might be wondering what an Origin Black Friday Sale 2022 may look like, especially considering the recent news about Electronic Arts shutting down its launcher and introducing the new EA app. It’s impossible to predict what will happen in a couple of weeks, but we’re hoping for a particular turn of events.

Black Friday is an excellent opportunity to promote EA’s new digital store, and some significant discounts would be a great way to hook in users who are still on the fence about it. Massive discounts on NFS Unbound or the Dead Space Remake preorders would undoubtedly pique the interest of many PC gamers! Let us know what you think about that in the comments.

Black Week 2022 on other platforms

Based on past experiences, it’s very likely that Black Week 2022 and Cyber Monday 2022 deals will be available in the vast majority of digital storefronts GG.deals aggregates data from. All companies know that this is a great time to get the attention of new customers and keep them coming back for more. Shops are willing to earn less on an individual transaction at the end of November but have more income in the long run.

In 2021, Ubisoft was the first one to start its sale on the 17th, followed by Green Man Gaming and Blizzard a day later. Offers from Microsoft and Origin were made available on the 19th, while the most extensive list of bargains appeared three days later when GamersGate, 2Game, and Fanatical joined Black Week. The two biggest shops, Epic Games Store and Steam, joined the fun on November 23rd and 24th, respectively. We will soon see if this scenario repeats itself this year.

pc gamer tour black friday

After the Thanksgiving weekend, we will be on the lookout for Cyber Monday gaming surprises. Even though they are usually just a retread of the ones we’ve already seen, it might be an excellent day for latecomers. We’re hoping Ubisoft returns to the idea of giving an additional 20% discount to gamers willing to risk waiting until after the weekend. Far Cry 6 was available for a historically low price on the previous year’s Cyber Monday. Be sure to stick with GG.deals on November 28, 2022, to find out if you can count on opportunities like that.

Find the best Black Friday 2022 PC game deals with GG.deals!

Like every year, our goal is to ensure GG.deals is the ultimate source for locating the best Black Friday game deals. We will keep you updated with all sales in supported shops, so you don’t have to worry about missing a great bargain. If you already know what product you want to buy, you might want to use our widget and create a price alert. Once an offer meeting your financial criteria appears, you will be automatically notified.

We have also prepared special pages where you can keep track of titles from your favorite franchises. Below you can see just a couple of them, but many more are available on our presets page .

We're working hard to implement this feature. please be patient and check back soon.

Black Friday is now so spread out, this year's deals feel like a complete non-event

The big deal day doesn't hit nearly as hard when deals season stretches on for weeks.

Someone asleep at their work laptop.

When does Black Friday begin? I'll tell you this: it's sure as heck not on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. That may have been the case once upon a time, but even before online shopping came to dominate Black Friday, there were already stores doing special sales on Thursday. Now, though, it feels silly to even refer to Black Friday as a week of deals. Rolling out sales on Monday? Passé. Amazon hosted its latest "Prime Big Deal Days" in October, a full month and a half before Thanksgiving.

The more Black Friday leaks out into the surrounding days, weeks, and months, the less relevant the day itself seems to be, and I've never felt the impact of that dispersion more keenly than this year. I've been looking, and I haven't seen a single Black Friday deal, PC gaming or otherwise, that wowed me. It's not just me, right? Am I missing the action, or is this the quietest, most lackluster Black Friday in years?

It's not that all the deals are bad , exactly. There are loads of perfectly fine ones in our guide to the best Black Friday PC gaming deals , and something you've been thinking about buying is probably cheaper than usual.

Our favorite wired headset is 40% off. Logitech's great G502 and G903 gaming mice are both more than $50 off. You can get a whole PC with an RTX 4070 for $1200. There are even some nice discounts on D&D books —they don't cost as much as a computer so the discounts are relatively small, but a few bucks is a few bucks.

4. Yeyian Tanto | Core i5 13400F | RTX 4070 | 16GB DDR5-5600 | 1TB SSD | $1,599.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg (save $400) Think of the RTX 4070 as an RTX 3080 with benefits and you'll start to see that this is a great price for a new gaming PC, that probably would have been closer to $2,000 this time last year. Thankfully it's not, and this is a great low-price, high-performance gaming PC. The only thing that might cause you pause is that you won't be doing any CPU overclocking, as the option is locked. But for a resolutely gaming machine, it's still packs plenty of punch.

Razer BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset | $99.99$59.99 at Amazon ($40 off)

Razer BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset | $99.99 $59.99 at Amazon ($40 off) Simply the best wired headset you can buy. It sounds great and has a simple, functional, and incredibly comfortable design. Even at full price these cans are worth it, so this is one sweet-sounding deal.

Price check: Razer $59.99 | Geekbuying: $129.99

Logitech G903 LIGHTSPEED | Wireless | 8,000 DPI | Ambidextrous | $149.99 $89.99 at Amazon (Save $60)

Logitech G903 LIGHTSPEED | Wireless | 8,000 DPI | Ambidextrous | $149.99 $89.99 at Amazon (Save $60) Our venerable 2017 mouse of the year is still a great pick for any discerning clicker. The G903 shares many of the advantages of Logitech mice that came later, with one crucial difference—this ambidextrous rodent is well-suited to any lefties out there, or if you simply scorn the aggressive shaping of an explicitly right-handed mouse.

Dungeons & Dragons: Curse of Strahd$49.95$18.99 price at Amazon (save $30.96)

Dungeons & Dragons: Curse of Strahd $49.95 $18.99 price at Amazon (save $30.96) This is a really great price for a huge amount of D&D content to play through, especially seeing as Curse of Strahd is perhaps the most acclaimed of the official 5e campaigns. It's a reimagining of the classic 1983 Ravenloft module, giving you a gothic horror sandbox with loads of nasty things for players to discover.

But most of the deals we're seeing feel very familiar. Logitech's been discounting the same mice the same percentages for years now. They're great mice, but not exactly the kind of deals that make me jump out of my chair. Likewise, there are tons of SSDs on sale for Black Friday , but SSD prices have been so low all year that today's deals aren't anything special at all.

In years past while spending all day on Black Friday hunting for deals, I've stumbled upon thrilling price errors that deals hunters pounced on for the few minutes they were active, and stackable discounts that brought prices down to an absolute steal. I haven't seen anything that exciting this year—or even a single standout big discount on, well, anything. I've been loading up Slickdeals every few hours all week, and have yet to see a single big deal that made me take a second look.

It could be that I just don't particularly want or need anything this year—I know some gamers are excited to able to buy an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 bundle on discount. But I don't think it's just me feeling apathetic about the deals this year. I'm not seeing much chatter online about any particular sales or as many photos of people posting their deal hauls. Many of the top-voted "best" Black Friday deals on Slickdeals are from days ago. I think this is the year that retail's push to start Black Friday earlier, to get ahead of the competition, to maximize their attention has finally hit a breaking point. Or maybe after a year of pandemic lockdown and two more years of economic turbulence, many of us are kind of just sick of buying things.

Ultimately, Black Friday is always about tempting us to buy things we don't need, but sometimes it's fun to go along with that impulse. This year, though, I think it's time for us to take a pass on all that extra stuff, and instead save money on the things we'd normally be spending on, anyway. Now's a really good time to buy up streaming service subscriptions and pay less than usual. If you subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud, you can threaten to cancel the subscription and get them to put you on the 50% Black Friday discount . You'll enjoy both of those things more throughout the year knowing you saved some money on them.

On the other hand, if you just really need to burn $300, one of the all-time classic Lego sets, Lion Knights' Castle , is 25% off right now. It's 4,514 pieces and this 30-year-old man seems to be utterly entranced by it. Hopefully whatever you buy this Black Friday is equally fulfilling.

Wes has been covering games and hardware for more than 10 years, first at tech sites like The Wirecutter and Tested before joining the PC Gamer team in 2014. Wes plays a little bit of everything, but he'll always jump at the chance to cover emulation and Japanese games.

When he's not obsessively optimizing and re-optimizing a tangle of conveyor belts in Satisfactory (it's really becoming a problem), he's probably playing a 20-year-old Final Fantasy or some opaque ASCII roguelike. With a focus on writing and editing features, he seeks out personal stories and in-depth histories from the corners of PC gaming and its niche communities. 50% pizza by volume (deep dish, to be specific).
