The fast travel is the only way to access the DLC zones, and the fast travel stations through the base game dont activate until you progress the story to a certain point. You can find fast travel stations in the starting area, but you can only travel to the Firestone station until you get to a certain story mission shortly after Sledge. Reply.

You must "Discover" the places that you wish to quick travel to. When you go into a new place, it will say " [Location] has been discovered" and then, you can quick travel there, AFTER you do the quest "Powering The Fast Travel Networt." There's only 1 Fast Travel location in each DLC so that they can utilize excessive backtracking as gameplay padding. If there were more Fast Travel locations than the Claptrap and General Knoxx DLC's would've been incredibly quick adventures (Dr. Ned DLC doesn't need any extra since it's the best designed DLC of them all while also utilizing mostly small areas).

By the time you get it there is very little reason to have it in the opening areas of the game where they actually have half a dozen. Yes, there are a few quests that send you back to the area but not all that many. You can test it by trying to fast travel to the dlc should work earlier.

Yes I did but I already reached sledge which I cannot fast travel to anymore. I mean yesterday everything was fine now I cannot go anywhere anymore. If I go to the zombie dlc and click on fast travel I can select Fyrestone but when I am back in the maingame all is left are the dlc locations. I am so bumped out.

Once loaded, a message should appear at the top of the screen stating that the Oasis outpost has been discovered.-Now when you fast travel to Fyrestone Coliseum, it actually loads the Oasis. You Enter Number 6 and it has fast travel nodes to the DLC. Some are down the eleveator.
