Storytelling Showcase and Pre-Show

At the start of the tour, you begin in the Storytelling Showcase. As you approach the area, you will be greeted by a ginormous blue wall with the WB logo. As you turn into the room, you will notice frames on the wall that depict the history of film, the Warner Bros. Studio, and the Warner Family. The main attention grabber in this room is the painted aerial view of the Warner Bros. backlot on the floor, which included some 3-D sound stages and a replica of the WB Water Tower, pictured within. After this room, they took us into a small theater where we watched a pre-show before commencing the tour with our guide.

Outdoor Sets and Movie Magic

The beginning part of the tour consists of a cart ride around the different exterior sets they had on the backlot, pictured above, and referencing any well-known show or movie that used them. For instance, we saw the backlot sets used to shoot the Train Store scenes from Young Sheldon, where Spiderman hung upside down and kissed Mary Jane in the rain, and Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls. It was interesting to hear about how they transform these sets into different things depending on the needs of the movie or show.

We discovered that despite many buildings appearing to have multiple levels from the outside, the majority consist of only one level. this design choice accommodates the tall equipment, lighting, and microphones used in production. if a scene appears to be shot on a higher level, it is often just a short ledge cleverly utilized for the task rather than an entire floor, showcasing the true essence of movie magic however, some buildings indeed have a second floor, designated as offices for the production staff. yet, during filming inside or outside these specific structures, the staff is restricted from entering while the cameras are rolling..

Sound Stages, Friends Fountain, and Prop Building

A majority of the backlot consists of sound stages. We saw the sound stages dedicated to The Big Bang Theory and Friends, although, at the moment, they were being used to shoot Bob Hearts Abishola and the United States of Al, respectively. On our tour, we got down to walk through one of the sound stages and saw the real sets for a show they were filming that week. After this, we drove to the Friends Fountain for a picture on the couch, as seen above. Believe it or not, this is the real fountain from the Friends opening credit scene. In order to keep it from being destroyed after the show finished, they had to relocate the fountain from its original location at the Warner Bros. Ranch.

Afterward, we drove by the prop building where wb keeps all of the props used in different tv shows and movies to reuse them for another project that may need them later on. the prop building is four stories high, and fun fact, each floor is the size of an american football field. towards the end of our guided tour, we saw one of the tallest sound stages in north america with the wb shield in the front - the same one you see in the preview scenes before a wb production..

Stage 48: Central Perk Café, Exhibits, Friends and The Big Bang Theory Sets, Script to Screen, and Friends Boutique

Once the guided portion of the tour was over, our tour guide left us in front of Stage 48, which contained the Central Perk Café (the coffee shop from Friends) in the middle, the Friends' Boutique on the right, and the exhibit entrance on the left. As soon as we entered, we saw the window of the Central Perk Café and noticed that we could order food and drinks - just as if we were actually part of the show. We purchased a red velvet and cream cheese icing cupcake with the Central Perk Cafe logo on top. It was both delicious and a nice little boost of energy before entering the exhibit. The exhibit contained plenty of props, costumes, and informational tidbits about different movies and shows that Warner Bros. Studios has produced, a dress that Lady Gaga wore in "A Star is Born" is pictured above.

A part of the exhibit was being able to sit on the famous orange couch in the Friends' Central Perk Set, pictured above, and seeing 3-sets of The Big Bang Theory: the hallway with the broken elevator, Leonard and Sheldon's living room, and the University Cafeteria. I am a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory! So, I was beyond excited to pretend to walk up the stairs and sit on Sheldon's couch cushion - which Big Bang fans know is a sin in Sheldon's eyes.

After having to be pulled away from the big bang theory section by matthew, we entered "stage 48: script to screen." a great way to describe this area is a room with a few green screens that allow for interactive activities, like being filmed riding harry potter's broom or the batpod. these experiences were included; however, if you wanted the final video, you needed to purchase it., before leaving this section, we entered a small room that featured a short video demonstrating the process of adding sound effects, music, and actor voiceovers to the film gravity. it was an incredibly informative presentation upon concluding our exploration of the exhibits, we exited through the friends' boutique. inside was a replica of the famous orange couch, additional seating (likely an extension of the small café seating), and a wide array of friends-themed souvenirs..

After Stage 48, we took a second golf cart ride to another building to begin the last part of our tour. This brought us to the DC Super Heroes and Super Villians section and the Harry Pottery and Fantastic Beasts section. Within the DC section, we saw mannequin versions of the superheroes and villains wearing their costumes from the actual movies, heroes pictured above. They even had a Batcave with some Batmobiles, including the one used for the Dark Knight, an interactive design station for people to create their own Batmobile, a small Aquaman Lair, and Wonder Woman's Study!

My favorite part in the dc section was wonder woman's study - there was an interactive wonder woman lasso that glowed when manually pressured - it allowed for a cool boomerang. the employee in the dc section was so helpful in making sure we got the best boomerang angle and also pointed out other photo ops within this area..

In the Harry Potter films section, we 'made potions,' practiced our wand choreography, took a peek in Harry's cupboard under the stairs, and visited the Herbology classroom - amongst other things. Matthew's favorite part in the Harry Potter section was the Great Hall, where the Official Sorting Hat sorted anyone under it into a Hogwarts House. The last room of the tour was the Celebration of Awards exhibit, which displayed various awards through the years, like Oscars and Emmys. The coolest part about this section was that we got to hold a real Oscar! It is heavier than I thought, coming in at 8.5 pounds for a 13.5-inch gold man. Once we finished up with all the exhibits, we exited through the gift shop and ended back in the lobby.

Warner Bros. 100th anniversary concert begins worldwide tour in April

2023 marks a century of moviemaking for Warner Bros, and “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.” will start its 100-city tour in April as part of the Warner Bros. 100th anniversary celebration.

Presented by Fever, “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.” will feature live musicians performing the some of the most iconic soundtracks from the Warner Bros. film and television library in a beautiful, candlelit space.

The Warner Bros. 100th tribute will be “a true celebration of storytelling, music, and creativity,” said Peter van Roden, senior vice president of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment. “From the musicals that we know and love to the iconic films and television series that have shaped generations, Warner Bros. has long been a leader in entertainment, and we are thrilled to bring this unforgettable event to our fans and music lovers from around the world to honor this momentous occasion.”

Fans Are Invited to Celebrate Warner Bros. Content and Characters with a Variety of Special Features, Products and Experiences Across WBD Platforms

Warner Bros. Discovery (Nasdaq: WBD) today officially kicked off its global centennial campaign, Celebrating Every Story, ahead of the Warner Bros. Studio’s 100 th anniversary on April 4, 2023. Over the next 12 months, this milestone birthday will be celebrated across consumer touchpoints with special programming and content, exclusive products and home entertainment releases, a dedicated programming page on HBO Max, omni-channel social media campaigns, live events and screenings, and fan-focused activations around the world.

The official centennial logo and commemorative reel were unveiled today and are available on the Warner Bros. Centennial Celebration website , which will feature the latest centennial news, events and activities. For downloadable assets, click here.

Among the ways the Company will celebrate and commemorate Warner Bros.’ 100 th anniversary are:

Programming : Among the centennial programming and content highlights are: A three-part documentary on the history of Warner Bros. from WB Unscripted Television to debut on HBO Max (and select partners in territories where HBO Max isn’t available); programming marathons and special episodes across Warner Bros. Discovery’s 40+ domestic networks and international channels; archival interviews airing on Extra from the series’ 29 seasons of Studio set visits, red carpet premieres and junkets; a year-long focus on classic Warner Bros. films on TCM; partnerships with various community organizations to help recruit and identify filmmakers to be a part of a short-film project paying homage to some of Warner Bros.’ most iconic films; and centennial branding and events connecting fans to the Studio’s TV brands, franchises and characters.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release a series of celebratory film and TV bundles on digital, Blu-ray and DVD, including four 25-film volumes and a 100-film collection (both featuring souvenir collectibles), complete TV series collections available for the first time, and “Best of” TV compilations from the most beloved WBTV franchises. Throughout the year, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will also release a dozen remastered titles available for the first time in 4K Ultra-High Definition, with titles ranging from the Superman 5-Film Collection to special 50 th Anniversary editions of Enter the Dragon and The Exorcist.
HBO Max will launch a dedicated programming page in late January with thematic and seasonal programming. HBO Max will mine the unmatched Warner Bros. film and television libraries to present curated collections celebrating holidays and cultural events, including Black History Month, Women’s History Month, AAPI Month and Pride/LGBTQ.
Consumer Products: From apparel and housewares to toys, collectibles, publishing, retailers, and food and beverage companies, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products is partnering with some of the world’s most popular and powerful brands to mark this milestone. Throughout 2023, Consumer Products will present several exclusive centennial activations with key partners, including Amazon, Saks Fifth Avenue, Funko, Mattel, New Era, Running Press, and more. Additionally, a new line of products will be unveiled featuring the Looney Tunes, a cornerstone of Warner Bros.’ history, taking center stage as the ultimate superfans dressed up as other legendary WB characters from fan favorite franchises such as DC and Wizarding World.
A Candlelight Concert Series across 100 cities, taking fans on a musical journey through 100 years of Warner Bros. in cities around the globe, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Toronto, Melbourne, Paris, Singapore, Milan, São Paulo and Mexico City;
The TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood in April will celebrate key films and major talent from Warner Bros. Pictures’ history, including Casablanca , the 50 th anniversaries of The Exorcist, with director William Friedkin in attendance, and Enter the Dragon, and world premiere restorations of East of Eden and Rio Bravo ;
Limited engagement theatrical screenings of some of Warner Bros.’ most popular film titles throughout its history;
Centennial museum exhibits and commemorative screenings with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles;
Commemorative screenings at the Warner Bros. Theater at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History;
Activations at Warner Bros.’ hotel and theme parks around the world, including The WB Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Parque Warner Madrid, and Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia, will be celebrating the centennial with exclusive merchandise, photo-ops, special engagements and activations, and more.
Studio Tour: Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, the world’s premiere attraction for getting fans closer to the entertainment they love, will help celebrate the centennial in a big way. A special 100 th anniversary exhibit will debut as part of the Tour in February and, later in the year, more centennial-themed surprises will be unveiled.
Global Celebrations : Warner Bros. has had an international presence almost as long as it has existed. To recognize the global popularity of the brand and its content, characters and consumer offerings, teams from around the world will host centennial activations across all of the Studio’s businesses. Warner Bros. to Celebrate 100 Years of Movie Music

March 9, 2023, 3:55 PM · Warner Bros. will continue its 100th anniversary celebration with a special chamber music concert of the studio's greatest hits - on its historic studio lot.

"Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros." will hold two performances on April 6 in the Steven J. Ross Theater on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank. The Orchid Quartet will perform 17 works from Warner Bros. films and television shows, from "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from "The Wizard of Oz" to "Shallow" from 2918's "A Star is Born."

"It's an incredible honor to be able to come together and celebrate the studio’s 100-year anniversary with a special and unique concert series on the historic Warner Bros. lot - home to so many beloved films and television series," Peter van Roden, SVP, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, said. "We are proud to be part of this remarkable milestone and look forward to sharing this one-of-a-kind experience with the fans to honor the past, present, and future of Warner Bros. in one unforgettable evening."

Candlelight Concerts brings local string quartets and other small ensembles to perform in candlelit settings in iconic locations. The 100 Years of Warner Bros. show will play in 50 other cities around the world, with local musicians performing, in addition to the performance in Burbank. Albert, Sam, Harry, and Jack Warner founded the Warner Bros. Pictures on April 4, 1923. (Apparently, 1923 was a big year for starting companies that would grow to dominate the global entertainment business.) Today, the studio lot in Burbank welcomes guests to its Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood , while Warner Bros. also operates studio attractions outside London and in Northern Ireland, with another location soon to open in Japan.

“Entertainment is about connecting with fans and we are thrilled to welcome guests back to the tour after a more than 15-month hiatus” said Danny Kahn VP and General Manager. “Our new experiences will take guests on a journey through our history, how we bring stories to life and celebrate the DC Universe and Wizarding World.”

Upon arrival, guests enter the “Storytelling Showcase” and discover the world of Warner Bros., examining the breadth of the studio’s film, TV and animation titles, as well as the technological innovations from its cinema chain origins in 1923 through its nearly 100-year journey to become one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world. Guests can even take a selfie with a replica of the iconic water tower as they walk along an aerial view of the studio lot.

After guests tour the lot with one of Warners’ expert guides, they will arrive at Stage 48: Script to Screen, the Studio Tour’s interactive sound stage where they can experience the technology and methods of production, revel in the Central Perk set from Friends and Sheldon’s apartment set from The Big Bang Theory before dining at the lot’s Central Perk Café.

From Stage 48, guests can head to the “Action and Magic Made Here” grand finale, where they’ll get to step behind-the-scenes of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts with all new interactive experiences, props, costumes and memorable photo opportunities.

DC fans will be able to explore the all-new Batcave, where they can get up close to the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s original Batman film, the Tumbler from The Dark Knight , and the Batwing from Batman v. Superman . Photo ops include the Lasso of Hestia from Wonder Woman 1984 , Jared Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn costumes from Suicide Squad , Poison Ivy in front of the actual Arkham Asylum gates featured in Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin and more from films such as Aquaman , Superman and Zack Snyder’s Justice League .

Guests can then explore recreated sets from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts where they can dabble in the art of potion-making, snap a photo inside Harry’s cupboard under the stairs at 4 Privet Drive or be surrounded by Hogwarts acceptance letters at the Dursleys’ fireplace, test their wand choreography skills and learn more about the magical creatures from Fantastic Beasts in Newt Scamander’s Shed of Magical Creatures.

A new Sorting Ceremony takes place in the Great Hall recreated set. The official Harry Potter Fan Club mobile app will allow fans can discover their official Hogwarts house before arriving. Visitors will hear the Sorting Hat call out their true Hogwarts house when it’s placed above their heads.

Concluding the tour is an elegant display of iconic treasures from Warner Bros. most beloved films and TV shows in the “Celebration of Awards Season.” The exhibit spotlights iconic props and costumes from the studio’s classic films, such as the trombone that Robert Preston played in The Music Man , the jersey worn by the late Chadwick Boseman to portray Jackie Robinson in 42 , and a painstakingly detailed miniature blimp from Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner .

The Welcome Center houses a brand-new Warner Bros. Studio Store that will be accessible to the general public. The studio store offers the only in-person shopping experience with exclusive merchandise from Warner Bros. films and TV shows. In the Personalization Area, fans can choose from a host of personalization options, including engraving a wand. Later this year, guests will be able to access merchandise from the studio store online.

The Studio Tour will be open on weekends, from June 26 through July 11, with the Tour also open on July 5. From July 15, the Studio Tour will operate 5 days a week and remain closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tours will depart from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with departures every 30 minutes. Tickets are available online for $69 for adults (ages 11 and up) and $59 for children ages 5 to 10 at wbstudiotour.com (advanced reservations will be required). Additionally, Southern California residents are eligible for a special rate of $57 on weekdays only, through September 30, 2021.

The Studio Tour follows all city, state and federal health guidelines in addition to internal mandates to ensure the health and safety of our guests, employees and production partners.

In reopening , the Warners Tour joins Universal Studios Hollywood, which unlocked its gates weeks ago. The Paramount and Sony lot tours remain closed, according to their web sites.

Al via in Italia il tour estivo itinerante per celebrare i 100 anni degli Studios. La campagna internazionale “Celebrating Every Story” organizzata dal Gruppo Warner Bros. Discovery (Nasdaq: WBD) per celebrare i 100 anni dei Warner Bros. Studios , sbarca in Italia con un tour estivo itinerante che farà tappa nelle località balneari più frequentate dell’estate 2023.

Il WB100 CELEBRATION TOUR – che fa parte del programma di celebrazioni avviato il 4 aprile nella data ufficiale del Centenario – sarà incentrato su attività divertenti e ingaggianti rivolte ad appassionati di cinema e di serie tv, famiglie con bambini, e fan dei personaggi più iconici della storia del cinema e dell’intrattenimento.

Le attività ruoteranno intorno all’universo Warner Bros. Discovery con allestimenti di aree a tema: oltre a un palco centrale animato giorno e sera, i più piccoli potranno divertirsi nelle aree giochi predisposte con truccabimbi e mini-gare con i tipici giochi da spiaggia a tema Looney Tunes, Tom e Jerry e Scooby Doo. Ci saranno quiz a premi sui grandi capolavori Warner Bros, prove di arrampicata e discesa in corda doppia sul climbing wall di Batman, e tante altre attività aperte a adulti e bambini, come il dj set serale e la possibilità di portare a casa i propri ricordi fotografici nelle photo opportunity con personaggi e ambientazioni iconiche.

Il Tour sarà anche l’occasione per anticipare i film distribuiti da Warner Bros. WB100 - Celebration tour

2023 is a year of celebration for Warner Bros as this year celebrates the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Studios.

For the occasion, the stage of the WB100 - Celebration tour will take place on 24 and 25 June 2023 in Piazza M. d'Olivo in Lignano Pineta.

A large Village will be set up on the square divided into areas with entertainment, guided games and a festive DJ evening dedicated to the soundtracks of Warner Bros. films and historic TV series.

Among the various entertainment areas you will find:

KIDS AREA - With themed activities and games featuring the children's favorite characters, from Tom&Jerry to Scooby Doo to the Looney Tunes.

DC AREA - Dedicated to great superheroes such as Batman, Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman

SPACE JAM BASKET COURT - Space Jam branded playground where children and adults can play basketball, 3vs3

PHOTO BOOT - For your themed souvenir photos such as Flash and Barbie. And with an iconic "Friends" themed surprise.
