Graduate Student Travel and Research Dissemination Fund
The Travel and Research Dissemination Fund provides funding support of $500 per graduate student. Travelling outside of Canada: When students are planning travel outside of Canada for university purposes, they have obligations under UBC's Student Safety Abroad Policy (SC12).
Killam Fellowship Travel and Research Allowance
The Graduate Student Travel Fund provides one-time travel support to a maximum of $500 per graduate student who presents a paper or poster at an official conference or symposium (student workshops are not eligible). Killam Doctoral Scholars should apply for the Killam Allowance before applying separately for the Graduate Student Travel Fund.

UBC Graduate Student Travel Fund. All UBC graduate students are eligible for the Graduate Student Travel Fund, once per degree program. The Travel Fund provides one-time travel support to a maximum of $500 per graduate student who presents a paper or poster at an official conference or symposium. The CENES Graduate Student Travel Award may be combined with the graduate student travel award ($500) from the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Students must apply for and use up the Graduate School's travel funds and any other UBC travel awards for fellowship holders first.

The travel fund provides travel support to a maximum of $500 per graduate student who presents a paper or poster at an official conference or symposium (student workshops are ineligible) or participates in a music competition.

If applicant has not yet applied/received the Graduate Student Travel Fund, they can still apply to receive a pre-approval. However, after the conference date and when Graduate Travel Fund is received, the applicant must submit the Official confirmation of UBC Graduate Student Travel Fund Award to SBME's Award team at [email protected].

Through the contributions of donors, the UBC School of Nursing is pleased to offer the inaugural Graduate Student Conference Travel Award to support full-time and part-time trainees registered in a master's or doctoral nursing program to present their research or other scholarly products (oral or poster) at peer-reviewed national or international (i.e., out-of-province) conferences or symposia.
