A s the original pioneers of the Layover Tour, we are aware of how important your time is while on transit. Whether it be that you only have a few hours in between journeys or that you just want the safety and comfort of a Paris Magical Tour after a flight or train journey, we can help.

With our meet and greet service, the tour begins from the moment you arrive in Paris . You will be welcomed at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly Airport or Gare du Nord (for Eurostar train arrivals) by a representative carrying a Paris Magical Tours sign before being chauffeur driven to your destination for the tour. Following the tour you can be returned to a central Paris hotel or if on a layover, back to the airport or train station to continue with your journey.

Simply choose from any one of our Paris Tours , including our visits to the Palace of Versailles and Disneyland Paris, all of which are available as a layover option.

Tours from Charles de Gaulle Airport Collection is available directly from your terminal of arrival, returning to your departure terminal following your tour. The terminals at Charles de Gaulle Airport are numbered 1, 2 and 3, with Terminal 2 being subdivided into a complex of seven sub terminals lettered A through to G.

Tours from Orly Airport Collection is available directly from your terminal of arrival and return to your departure terminal at the end of the tour. The terminals at Orly Airport are called South or West.

Tour from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Orly Airport (or vice-versa) Tours are also available if you have a mixed airport layover, that is where you arrive at one airport and depart from another. Collection is also directly from your arrival terminal at one airport and return to your departure terminal at the other following your tour.

Tours from Eurostar Gare Du Nord Eurostar trains to/from London and the rest of Europe arrive at Gare du Nord Station. As a guideline, allow 10 minutes to clear Immigration and Customs on arrival. Check in time for trains to Europe is approx. 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

IMMIGRATION AND LUGGAGE

A s a guideline for either airport, allow approx. 40 minutes to clear Immigration and Customs to begin your tour. Check in for flights to Europe is at least one and a half hours before your scheduled departure time and two hours for long haul flights. Our customer service team is happy to advise on the best option according to your schedule.

Passengers on layovers will normally have their luggage forwarded to their final destination by their airline, meaning you will only have your carry on bags in Paris. Passengers are able to bring one item of carry on luggage each with them onboard the tour vehicle. If you will have greater luggage requirements please let us know and we will be happy to advise accordingly.

Description

This tour will take you into the restricted areas of Paris-Orly where you will learn about the history of the airport and go behind the scenes to observe handling operations.

Get a close-up view of the planes on their parking stands. Watch the ground crews at work and check out the different stages in the handling of the planes as they are prepared to fly out again (docking guidance, baggage unloading and loading, refuelling, catering, etc.) This tour is organized in partnership with the Maison de l'Environnement et du Développement durable .

Please note : you will be required to send a photocopy of your passport or ID card by email at least ten days before the date of the tour. Please bring the original with you on the day of the tour.

The price of this tour is €5 per person. This covers administrative costs incurred by Val-de-Marne Tourisme & Loisirs. La Maison de l'Environnement does not receive any remuneration for this tour.

Un grand merci à l'hôtesse, Corinne, qui nous a guidé tout au long de cette visite et qui nous a fait partager la passion de son métier. Accueil chaleureux et souriant. Visite pédagogique et très intéressane. Je n'ai pas vu le temps passer.

Visite passionnante

Visite très intéressante, qui permet de voir la caserne des pompiers avec leurs camions, les explications de leur chef. On voit également le ravitaillement des avions et la sortie des bagages depuis la soute.

Il serait dommage que ces visites s'arrêtent

Un arrêté préfectoral cherche à limiter les visites à 5 personnes par accompagnateur sur l'aéroport. Cela condamnerait ce type de visites par manque de personnel d'ADP, ce qui serait absolument regrettable. Voilà un petit exemple d'où mène l'obsession sécuritaire. La visite est organisée par la "Maison de l'environnement", financée par Aéroports de Paris. Le discours est dont fortement orienté : la privatisation d'ADP et la pollution du site sont présentés en termes positifs . Néanmoins, ce type de rencontre entre les citoyens et les infrastructures est essentiel à maintenir. Espérons que cela sera le cas.

Très intéressante visite, instructive, agréable et très bien organisée. Super visite détaillée des pompiers par un chef sympathique et très communicant merci à lui aussi. Dommage que nous ne soyons restés que sur le tarmac et que nous n'ayons pas pu pénétrer dans le cœur de la bête (gestion des bagages). Bien dommage également que ces visites soient apparemment suspendues jusqu'à nouvel ordre.

Passionnant et instructif

Belle visite des pistes de l'aéroport, certes en bus sans descendre sauf à la caserne des pompiers devant un des mastodontes dont ils disposent. Notre guide n'est jamais prise en défaut, elle commente sans arrêt, notre pompier également et si l'on pense savoir déjà beaucoup de choses avant de venir, nous en apprenons quand même énormément encore. Je conseille donc vivement cette visite. Merci encore à nos accompagnants.

les pistes d'Orly

visite intéressante qui m'a rappelé mon enfance (mon père ayant fait sa carriere sur le site de 59 à 84). seule ombre au tableau la perte de temps un peu inutile du passage au sas de sécurité étant donné que nous n'avons accès à aucune zone sensible car tout le temps dans le car, hormis la visite de la caserne des pompiers très intéressante.

Excellent et instructif

Une des meilleures visites effectuées avec Explore Paris. Nous avons pu nous rendre compte des moyens mis en oeuvre pour la sécurité incendie en particulier. La guide est charmante, sa connaissance de l'aéroport d'Orly n'est jamais prise en défaut. Mention spéciale également pour le chef de manoeuvre des pompiers qui nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse.

Visite à faire

Une visite recommandable, avec une guide, Catherine, très intéressante, répondant à toutes les questions avec force détails. Bien sûr il faut passer un peu de temps au contrôle à l'entrée, similaire aux contrôles de sécurité avant un embarquement, mais nous entrons dans un site sécurisé. Arrêt intéressant à la caserne des pompiers. Un domaine qui serait intéressant à visiter si possible : la chaîne de traitement des bagages ! Une visite à faire !

Visite très intéressante Visite du 5 septembre 2019 Très bonnes explications du fonctionnement de l’aéroport et des différents services de la part de la guide. Un arrêt très intéressant à la caserne des pompiers. Un petit regret tout de même, peut-être pour des raisons de sécurité, on aurait aimé assister au décollage et atterrissage des avions même a une distance ne comportant pas de risque. Je pense que les coulisses de l’aéroport ainsi que le tri des bagages aurait été intéressant à voir. Malgré tout a recommandé

Très bonne guide ! Mais...

Très bonne guide, avec petit détour à la caserne des pompiers. Cependant c’est la seule fois que nous somme descendus du bus. Nous pensions pouvoir découvrir davantage les coulisses de l’aéroport tel que le tri des bagages, mais rien de tout ça ! On est repartis déçus ...

Plateforme d' Orly

Visite étonnante des installations, très bien documentée par une guide spécialisée et passionnante. Le passage à la Caserne des Pompiers a complété notre visite avec sortie d'un véhicule en prime. Je verrai désormais l'aéroport d'un autre oeil lorsque je prendrai l'avion.

Visite passionnante à conseiller

Catherine, notre guide, est passionnante dans ses commentaires et anécdotes, pas de tabou sur les questions posées, et pas d'excsue pour mal passer le sas sécurité, tout est parfaitement expliqué, merci au responsable des pompiers d'avoir accepté d'entrer dans la caserne et pour le temps qu'il a passé à répondre à nos questions, vraiment un bon moment ... préparez bien votre venue notamment pour rejoindre le site depuis le terminus du T7, on a l'impression d'arriver au milieu de nulle part... visite à conseiller, pour avoir fait déjà celle de Roissy !

Belle visite, Catherine maitrise totalement le sujet, présentation de tous les équipements croisés sur notre route, explications sur le fonctionnement de la plateforme, anecdotes, tout y est! Enfants et adultes sont ravis de cette visite. Merci

VISITE AEROPORT ORLY

Très bonne visite. Commentaires très intéressants, visite agréable. Nous avons passés un très bel après-midi. Nous recommandons.

Les enfants et moi avons apprécié cette visite qui nous a permis de connaître l'autre côté de l'aéroport. A faire.

On était venu de loin et ça devait être le moment fort de notre séjour. On se réjouissait, on a été fort déçu… C'est vrai que la personne d'ADP connaissait très bien son sujet. Mais la visite pourrait être nettement plus intéressante. Visite pendant 30 minutes de la caserne de pompiers. C'est clair que leur travail est très reconnaissant, mais tout est dans la frime (si, si) et ça nous intéresse pas que leur bolide vaut 1.3 millions d'Euros… Arrêt (très très loin) pour voir atterrir des avions (petite suggestion pour la personne d'ADP. informez nous Flight Radar quel avion atterrit, d'où il vient et quelle compagnie il s'agit...). Pas d'information de la Tour de Contrôle, rien!!. Une visite du Catering ne pourrait pas être envisagée. Bref visite bien plate pour des passionnés d'aviation.

Visite exceptionnelle avec - contrairement à celle de Charles de Gaulle - la possibilité de descendre du bus côté piste, discuter avec les pompiers, et s'approcher de la piste. Analyse en détails de l'avitaillement d'un avion en escale : carburant, plateaux repas, bagages, etc. Intervenante passionnée, qui adapte ses explications aux plus petits, et donne des informations intéressantes même pour les passionnés d'aviation. Si vraiment je devais citer un point manquant, il s'agirait du circuit des bagages jusqu'à leur arrivée à l'avion (tri, contrôles, etc.), mais la visite prend tout de même déjà 2h. Merci à ADP et à notre guide pour ce moment !

Visite très très intéressante. Merci à notre accompagnatrice ADP pour toutes ses explications et à sa gentillesse. La visite détaillée de la caserne et notamment des engins hors norme était super ! Pouvoir sortir du bus pour être tout près de la piste d'atterrissage et les informations données par notre accompagnatrice étaient un plus. Je recommande cette visite à toutes celles et ceux qui veulent comprendre les rouages d'un grand aéroport.

Les coulisses de l'aéroport d'Orly

Visite tout à fait intéressante grâce notamment à la qualité des explications de notre accompagnatrice de groupe ADP et à son sympathique accueil. La visite détaillée de la caserne et notamment des engins hors norme fut un réel plus, ainsi que de sortir du bus pour être au pied de la piste d'atterrissage (ou presque) où à nouveau les informations données par notre accompagnatrice ont fait merveille. Je recommande cette visite à toutes celles et ceux qui veulent comprendre les rouages d'un grand aéroport.

Excellente guide. Visite passionnante. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Déception n'ayant rien à voir avec l'hôtesse du jour : patiente, incollable et très symphatique ! Déception pour l'organisation. On a attendu 20 minutes un abruti qui, non content d'arriver en retard, n'a cessé d'interrompre la guide par des commentaires inutiles ! Suggestion : On attend pas les gens en retard ! 15 personnes ont perdu 1/2 heure à cause de ça (Visite réduite à 1 h 30). Ensuite, le pompon : le passage au poste de sécurité ! Encore 20 minutes de perdues au prétexte qu'ils n'étaient pas au courant qu'il y avait un groupe (par la suite On a su que c'était une erreur de leur part !). Bref, fouillés pire que pour prendre un avion et surtout, reçus par une espèce de gorgonne mal aimable et bornée qui devait se croire Dieu le Père au prétexte qu'elle a un détecteur à poudre dans la main ! Je vais d'ailleurs faire un message à ADP à ce sujet. Le reste de la visite, très intéressante, encore une fois : guide et chauffeur parfaits ! Dernier conseil, n'y allez pas le matin : la visite de la caserne des pompiers (moment fort !) à été écourtée... ils sont en formation tous les matins... nous on a eu la chance qu'un membre du staff ait eu la gentillesse de nous expliquer l'essentiel. Merci à lui ! Je ne referai pas cette visite...

Visite très intéressante

La balade en car sur le site de l'aéroport est fort intéressante. On peut se rendre compte au plus près de tout ce qui est nécessaire pour assurer les escales des avions. La cerise sur le gâteau est la visite de la caserne des pompiers et la vue d'atterrissages tout près de la piste. Conférencière agréable et connaissant très bien les rouages de l'aéroport, accueil fort sympathique.

Très belle visite avec une guide incollable sur tous les sujets et très gentille et agréable. Tour en car sur la plateforme, possibilité d'observer les atterissage de très proche et visite chez les pompiers top top top!!! À faire absolument!!!

Visite exceptionnelle !

Une visite passionnante de l'aéroport d'Orly. On accède aux pistes en bus et on se promène aux alentours des pistes pour y découvrir tous les corps de métier, voir les avions de tous près, l'infrastructure des bâtiments, la machinerie... Cette visite est menée par Corinne qui sait tout sur l'aéroport pour y avoir exercé plusieurs métiers et qui nous guide et nous renseigne avec enthousiasme et passion, le sourire au lèvre tout du long des 2 heures! Elle rend cette visite extrêmement agréable et inoubliable. A ne pas manquer!

ORLY N 'A PLUS DE SECRET ..OU PRESQUE !!!

Ce fut un moment où tout Orly est passe en revue avec une guide autant symapthique agréable excellente meneuse de groupe qu 'incollable sur le sujet : présentation puis départ dans un petit bus confortable et climatisé ( ouf !!!) sous un soleil éclatant à travers les pistes approchant les B777 A330 A320 B747....visite de 20 mn chez les pompiers avec toutes leurs explications. sur leur métier ... approche de la nouvelle aérogare mise en service printemps 2019 et de l 'ancienne tour de contrôle passage devant le chenil des chiens de sécurité ....et descente du bus tout près des pistes avec vision très privilégiée et directe des mouvements d'avion avec les explications techiques sur un atterissage ...Bravo ...2h30 de voyages et rêves ....à recommander sans modération ...

Tout d' abord, merci à la Maison de l' environnement pour l' organisation de cette visite, Bien sur qu' il faut aimer l' avion et le domaine aéronautique mais si c' est le cas il faut tout faire pour se rendre disponible et faire cette visite. Notre guide était charmante, disponible et surtout très professionnelle, la vie et la gestion d' un aéroport, la visite très intéressante de la nouvelle caserne des pompiers et pour finir nous avons vu plusieurs atterrissages depuis le bord des pistes. Plus qu' intéressant.

Dans les coulisses d'Orly

2 heures 30 de visite très instructive et passionnante avec une guide charmante, très pédagogue , connaissant son sujet sur le bout des doigts. L'intervention coté pompier était également très interessante. Nous avons appris énormément de choses insoupçonnées par les usagers des aéroports. Un grand MERCI pour ce très bon moment

J'y suis allée avec mon père (68 ans), mon fils de 14 ans et mon neveu de 12 ans (j'ai 43 ans) et tout le monde a adoré. La guide était super (sympa et intéressante). A faire absolument !

C'était une visite très intéressante à faire, avec une accompagnatrice passionnée par son métier. Il y en a pour tous les goûts, je pense : pour ceux qui aiment la géographie, ceux qui aiment l’histoire, ceux qui aiment l’architecture, ceux qui aiment les sciences de l’ingénieur, ceux qui aiment la sécurité et la sureté. Il y a énormément de métiers dans un aéroport, et la plupart sont abordés, même succinctement. J’avais un peu peur que ce soit axé sur l’histoire (j’ai une préférence pour la technicité), mais en fait non. Par contre c'est trop cours. Beaucoup, beaucoup trop cours. Ce serait bien d'envisager des visites de 3 heures (je ne sais pas à quel point c'est compliqué). Bon, mais ça mérite quand même un 5/5 :)

Un rêve de gosse!

Un très bon moment, hyper instructif sur les coulisses de l'aéroport. Merci aux pompiers de nous avoir accueilli dans leur super caserne et de nous avoir laissé monter dans un des énormes camions. La guide était au top pour les explications! On sentait sa passion! Un bémol : trop de car! Nous aurions aimé rencontrer, le personnel de l'aéroport, et comprendre comment ils travaillent Merci pour d'avoir réalisé ce rêve de gosse!

Visite très interressante des faces "cachées "au public,fort bien documentée par notre guide. Un bon moment a éte consacré à la caserne de pompiers,dirigé par un sapeur passionné par son travail et le clou,fût de nous avoir fait monter au poste de vigie.Non sans oublié les Panter,ces monstres de camions,prêt à envelopper de mousse un avion au moyen de leurs grosses lances !!! J'y retournerai... Merci Patrick

Formidablement intéressant! On découvre l'aéroport sous un jour inédit, et tout ce que fait ADP pour voisiner en bons termes avec les habitants alentour. Avec ça une guide passionnée, un chauffeur aux petits soins, et les pompiers de la caserne très disponibles. Même l'accès à la Maison de l'Environnement était facile à trouver grâce à une bonne signalisation.

Une visite passionnante des coulisses d'Orly

Un circuit en autocar faisant le tour de la plate-forme d'Orly près des pistes et des avions. Une accompagnatrice très accueillante, attentive aux préoccupations des participants. Le "clou " du circuit est la visite de la caserne des pompiers où un professionnel passionné nous a présenté en détail ce service et les camions lances impressionnants utilisés. Donc, une découverte tout à fait intéressante des coulisses de l'aéroport, vision qu'on ne peut avoir en tant que simple passager. Un seul regret : photos interdites alors qu'elles sont autorisées pour la même visite à CDG.

Excellente visite. Une mention particulière pour la patience et la compréhension de notre accompagnatrice ainsi bien sûr que pour ses explications. Pour Mory la visite de la caserne des pompiers le point marquant.

Une super visite avec Priscilla qui fut un excellent guide et d’une patience à rude épreuve avec certains voyageurs... Merci :-) Johan

Pour avoir attendu des retardataires, nous avons perdu beaucoup de temps au poste de sécurité renforcée (15mn de retard + 45mn d'attente au poste) où nous avons découvert une partie des contraintes quotidiennes des agents en service sur la plateforme ! La visite a donc été écourtée, mais malgré notre retard d'1 heure, les pompiers nous ont reçu gentiment. Présentation claire. Accompagnatrice très agréable, professionnelle, répondant à tout avec le sourire ! 2h de visite beaucoup trop courtes pour une présentation complète. Qu'à cela ne tienne, nous reviendrons. merci.

Visite instructive avec une hôtesse maîtrisant son sujet. Une station (minutée) auprès de chaque corps de métiers intervenants sur la piste eut été un plus -mais le temps imparti à la visite et la disponibilité des éventuels intervenants étaient un frein- ; le tri des bagages m'a manqué.

Une visite très intéressante puisque on est emmenés sur les pistes même et on y voit pas mal de métiers de l'aéroport . Une visite trop bien commentée et sachant répondre a nos questions . Le seul problème pour moi personnellement et que ! vu que je suis un fan d'avions on ne peut pas photographier ( mais c'est assez compréhensible) Cette visite m'a permis d'accéder a mes collègues Pompiers puisque je le suis moi même et de voir du matériel que je n'utilise pas Je le note a 4 étoiles pour deux raisons .... la sécurité nous a pris un temps immense et pas de photo autorisée

VISITE ORLY CÔTÉ PISTE

J'approuve entièrement les commentaires bien détaillés des autres participants. J'aurais également bien aimé voir le "côté bagages"... Je regrette surtout le temps perdu à cause, et c'est compréhensible, de la sécurité renforcée, des tours et détours obligatoires pour aller de la maison de l'environnement à la gendarmerie, puis vers les pistes retour à la gendarmerie .... Nous avons eu la malchance d'être bloqués plus d'un quart d'heure avant le passage à la sécurité, la visite n'ayant réellement commencé qu'une heure après notre départ du R.V. Accompagnatrice très agréable, professionnelle, répondant à tout avec le sourire ! Merci

Aéroport d'Orly "Côté Piste"

Visite intéressante qui porte bien son nom "Côté piste" puisque l'on ne descend du car que devant la caserne des pompiers (présentation passionnante). Un regret donc : que l'on ne puisse pas accéder aux coulisses concernant le traitement des bagages.... Accompagnatrice remarquable de professionnalisme

C'est une visite que l'on ne peut que recommander et ceci à plusieurs titres: 1) - Accueil de haut niveau avec les précisions données par la guide en raison des normes de sécurité pour l'accès au périmètre de visite, 2) - informations sans détour de la part de notre accompagnatrice non avare des renseignements sollicités. A recommander (comme bien d'autres sujets que vous nous présenter).

Coté coulisses

Visites intéressantes. Présentation claire. Découverte d'une partie des contraintes quotidiennes des agents en service sur la plateforme. Présentation dynamique de la caserne des pompiers par un chef de quart. Passage au plus près des avions et identification d'une partie des différents métiers sur la piste. 2h sont courtes pour bien apprécier cette présentation du fait d'un temps long passé entre l'obtention du badge et le passage au poste de filtrage fouille (+ de 35mn). Il conviendrait en conséquence d'élargir la plage horaire pour voir notamment la partie transport des bagages..... Les éléments d'information générale sur le site d'Orly et sur le monde aérien en présentation à la Maison de l'Environnement sont très intéressants. Prévoir d'arriver bien avant l'heure pour les apprécier ou y revenir spécialement. Lundi et mercredi présence d'un contrôleur aérien pour renseigner le public.

Exposé du chef de quart des pompiers sympathique et instructif, une foule de renseignements sur cet aéroport où j'ai pris mon baptême de l'air il y a maintenant trop longtemps. Au plus près des avions, cette visite permet de découvrir le ballet aérien quotidien d'un grand aéroport, rythmée par de nombreuses anecdotes. Point fort de la journée : la découverte de la caserne des pompiers.

Guide sympathique qui nous a présenté ce gigantesque aeroport avec humour. Intérêt pour les machines qui dégèlent les ailes des avions, les pushback et les lances des pompiers, celles de leurs camions bien-sûr !

Cancellation Policy

We will accept any cancellation made as long as there is at least 2 hours notice without any fine . The fine is rated 100% in case of No-show. The cancellation must be made by email or by a phone if the transfer is about to start.

Can I book a transfer now and make changes or add a stop later?

You can ask for a change via email. If the service is to start in a short time you can do it by phone. You can make changes in your itinerary free of charge, the recalculation of the itinerary may increase or decrease the price.

When will I receive confirmation of my booking?

You will receive a welcome email containing your login and password on your first booking with us. At all you will receive three emails.

- Second:  email from our manage r, confirming that we accept your booking.

- Third: when the journey has been assigned to a driver, this email will contain the phone number, name and picture of your driver .

Charles de gaulle (cdg) airport - terminal 2c meeting point.

Charles de Gaulle is the largest airport in France, it has three terminals T1, T2 and T3 interconnected by bus shuttles and CDGVAL shuttle train. The Terminal 2 is the largest one, it is divided into seven sections: 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F and 2G. When you get off the plain in the Charles de Gaulle airport you get into security area and you have to respect the next sequence: 1. passport control, 2. luggage delivery, 3. you leave the security area, it is the same sequence in all CDG terminals. 

On the left picture you see an exit from the luggage claim security area in Terminal 2C. Each terminal has only one such exit, except terminal 2D that has two exits 1 and 2. These exits are the meeting points for arriving travellers and their drivers.

How it works in orly, orly airport (ory) - terminal west - arrival exit n° 1.

Orly is the second by size airport in France, it has two terminals: South (Sud) and West (Ouest). Terminal West is larger one and more modern than South terminal, it has five Arrival exits: 01, 02, 03-04 and 05. For international flights after you get off the plane you get into security area and you have to respect same sequence as in CDG airport:

1. passport control, 2. luggage delivery, 3. finally you leave the security area, but be aware that for intra European flights there is no passport control and luggage claim is situated out of security area. 

On the left picture you see the exit N° 1 from the security luggage claim area in Terminal West. Terminal West has five such exits.  These exits are the meeting points for arriving travellers and their drivers.
