Had an amazing experience! … It is very self guided and I did do the tour by myself (I did think it would be with a travel group), so you do have to actively interact and meet people. Nevertheless, I met the most amazing people and the locals and staff at each island you stay at were in incredible. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend.

A brief introduction.

With three official languages, Fijian, English and Fiji Hindi (a local dialect of Hindi), most tourists to the island don’t struggle to communicate although we always recommend learning some of the local words in both Fijian and Fiji Hindi as these are widely spoken tongues.

Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean it’s no wonder much of Fijian cuisine is dedicated to seafood. With coconut, rice and root vegetables also common on menus. Indian and tropical influences come into play on many lists with traditional western dishes becoming more popular in resort locations. We offer a range of different restaurants and menus across our local tour.

Local interaction

The Fiji welcome is one of the warmest you will ever receive with smiles, laughter, occasional song and inquisitive questions commonplace. Throughout our cultural experience day in the local community, you will have the chance to spend in-depth time connecting with new friends. Expect hotel and restaurant employees also to ask friendly, well-meaning questions regularly; it’s all part of the island’s welcoming nature.

With buzzing local arts, crafts and fresh food markets available in Nadi town this is a possible side-trip during your leisure time. Some clothes and souvenir stores can also be found here, while within the Marina complex a couple of more tourist-focused outlets can be located.

Best time to travel: As a tropical destination the weather is mild and pleasant for much of the year. Cyclone season generally runs from November through to April and as such, we limit departures during these dates. From May to September the cooler months arrive (by Fiji standards) but still with temperatures warm enough to swim and sunbathe making this an ideal time to visit the islands.
