Peru encourages visitors to be adventurous, with a multitude of activities on offer, from sailing on Lake Titicaca to trekking in the Sacred Valley . The famous Inca Trail , reserved for the most adventurous of travelers, is perhaps the most famous of all trekking routes, culminating in an ascent to Machu Picchu . One of the region's most prosperous economies, with a huge tourist industry, Peru has become increasingly popular in recent years, with travelers keen to tick its many sights off of their bucket lists.

Nature in Peru

Peru is a megadiverse country, and the sanctuary of many of the world’s species of animal, bird and plant life, including a large number of endemic species. From the Altiplano to the Amazon Basin , the country’s diverse geography and accompanying wildlife makes it a paradise for nature lovers. The Amazon Rainforest in Peru, known for its heavy rainfall and tropical, humid climate, is home to a plethora of weird and wonderful animals species such as the pink river dolphin, found in the Amazon River , jaguars, giant otters, and primates, along with an impressive one-third of the worlds bird species. The national bird is the bizarre Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, whilst the mighty Andean Condor is the highlight of Peru’s Colca Canyon , a deep river canyon in the south of the country where viewpoints such as the Cruz del Condor allowing onlookers to watch the flight of huge Condors , the largest flying bird in the world. The uninhabited Ballestas Islands, located off the coast of the port city of Pisco , is home to large populations of sea lions, pelicans, Peruvian boobies, and Humboldt penguins, and is a popular day-trip destination for travelers on a vacation package to Peru. Aside from the country’s rich wildlife, Lake Titicaca stands out as an incredible natural attraction, owing to its immense size and altitude, securing it the title of the world’s highest navigable body of water and the largest lake in South America. In Andean traditions, it is thought to be the birthplace of the Sun God , and its glistening, reflective waters, which stretch across the border between Bolivia and Peru, are home to numerous floating islands, such as Taquile and Isla del Sol, where traditional communities live and work. Tour packages to Peru all-inclusive offer travelers a chance to discover the great variety of the country’s bountiful nature in one exciting trip.

History of Peru

Peru’s history can be traced back to the 4th century BC and to the ancient societies of the Chavin, Moche, and the Nasca. The most well-known era of Peruvian history came later, in the 15th century with the enigmatic Inca civilization, which emerged as a powerful state in this period. Growing out of their capital in Cusco , this revered civilization started as a small ethnic group of Quechuas , but soon their influence expanded and incorporated their neighbors under the great Emperor Pachacuti . The Inca Empire eventually controlled most of the Andean region, stretching into modern-day Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile,  and Argentina, and are thought to have had a population of approximately 16 million inhabitants, who were encouraged to worship the Sun God, Inti and practice human sacrifice as a means to appease the gods. This mysterious civilization did not last for long, as by 1532, Spanish conquistadors had captured the Inca Emperor in the Battle of Cajamarca , marking the beginning of the end for the Incas. The emperor was later killed and a long conquest ensued, resulting in many deaths for the indigenous community, caused by both disease and warfare. Spanish victory came in 1572 , with colonization and the destruction of much of the culture, monuments, religion, and heritage of the Incas following shortly afterward. Spanish language, culture, and Catholicism replaced the indigenous beliefs and way of life, although even today, populations continue to speak in their native languages, such as Quechua. Most travelers on a  Peru vacation are excited to discover the lost ruins of the Inca Empire , such as Machu Picchu, and to understand the values and traditions of this iconic civilization.

Culture in Peru

With a population of approximately 32 million, made up of a variety of ethnicities, Peru has a diverse culture, ranging from Spanish influences, as seen in the language and architecture, to indigenous traditions as demonstrated in the varied folklore and musical styles and dances, which often include references to ancient beliefs surrounding spirits and the Sun God. The indigenous communities are also well known for their arts and crafts, such as the brightly colored Andean clothing, with their intricate embroidery and vibrant patterns. The different regions of Peru possess their own unique influences and traditions; in the highlands of the Andes you can expect to see folklore displays with flute and drum music, ritualistic dance, and masks, whilst down in the Amazon , tribal influences are more evident. In the coastal cities, there is an obvious Spanish character, both in the cuisine, terraced cafes, and architecture. In contrast, travel through the Sacred Valley and you may feel as if you have been transported back in time, as you pass through the traditional villages of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, with their authentic markets, artisan textile weavers, Quechua- speaking communities and monolithic temple ruins, considered sacred to the inhabitants. Despite the modern feel of the coastal capital of Lima, you are never far from making contact with the ancient traditions and culture of the country’s earliest civilizations.A trip to Peru will allow you to walk in the footsteps of the Inca’s, get up close to some of the world's most diverse and unique wildlife, uncover the secrets of Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines and realize your dreams of navigating Lake Titicaca. A paradise for the most intrepid travelers, a tour of Peru is a must-do bucket list experience.

What is an all-inclusive resort?

Peru all-inclusive resorts provide you more for your money and reduce your planning stress. While their exact offerings will vary, you can usually expect meals and drinks to be included with your room rate, often with unlimited options. That’s what we call a relaxing vacation!

Many resorts also include activities, plus evening entertainment options such as live shows or theme parties. Tips and gratuities are usually included too (though still welcome).

Does all-inclusive include alcohol?

Most all-inclusive resorts in Peru will include alcohol in their all-inclusive rates. However, they may charge extra for things like premium or imported spirits. Always check the details of your resort before booking, as there are some that do not include alcoholic beverages.

Does “all-inclusive” include flights to Peru?

All-inclusive resort rates typically do not include flights. Your room rate includes only what you need once you’ve landed, like food, drinks, and entertainment. That’s where Travelocity’s all-inclusive packages come in. Client Testimonials

Great tour. Guides were excellent and we got an realistic feel for the history and culture of Lima. Cusco and Machu Picchu. They handled any issues that arose with a lot of class. A bit more casual than what we're accustomed to in terms of scheduling but I think that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Google

Traveled this December to Cusco with my wife and some friends, finally lined up some vacation time to check out the Inca Trail. We got in touch with Journey Machu Picchu (our travel agent's name was Eduardo),they organized the whole trip for us. They took care of all the permits, hotels, tours, guides, etc, even got us an upgrade on the trains. We had an issue with my wife the day before starting the trail and assumed we'd have to cancel everything. Nope, they hooked her up with different tours while we were on the trail and met back up in Machu Picchu. The trail itself was so much better than I'd thought it'd be. Edgar (our guide) helped us along every step of the way. We had an awesome time and hope to do a few more treks in the future, the Salkantay looked pretty cool.

TripAdvisor

Thank you so much to Marco, Michael and all the staff that makes our journey very memorable. To our tour guide in Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu, thank you for sharing your country's amazing history. Thank you for the driver for showing us the other side of the country, and buying lechon from the locals on the way to Olantaytambo.

ook a 10 day package with Journey at the end of November leading into the holidays. Went to Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We got to see all the mainstays as far as I know. Great, well organized trip. The altitude hit me a bit hard during the first couple of days but I was allright after that. Our guides were great, our guide in Machu Picchu was exceptional, he answered all of our questions, never left us with any sort of uncertainty. The airport was a bit of a hassle though, customs took forever to let us through but I can't hold you guys accountable for that. Thank you for helping a couple of old men finally take this trip, the logistics was getting a bit too out of hand for us. Very friendly staff on the whole.

It was an amazing trip. All the food was included, the guide was phenomenal and the hike itself was stunning!

The trip went according to plan . Machu Picchu was amazing and staying at the sacred valley was a great decision!! I can’t wait to wait to go back soon 😍😍

El itinerario que tuvimos fue excelente. Buena calidad de equipo y comprometidos con su trabajo. Si volviera a organizar otro paseo sin duda alguna lo haría con Journey Machu Picchu. Gracias y sigan así. (Translated by Google) The itinerary we had was excellent. Good team quality and committed to their work. If I organized another trip without a doubt, I would do it with Journey Machu Picchu. Thanks and keep it up.

Loved this place!

If you ever want to go to Peru, leave it to Michael and his team. They will make your experience unforgettable!!!!!!

Peru vacation packages all-inclusive, The perfect journey that will let you see the contrast of Peru, as you go from the coast, highlands, and jungle, while you enjoy not only its beautiful surrounding, flora, fauna, and wildlife, but also the rich culture as you pass by Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and the Amazon in this complete experience.

Day 1 LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

City of Kings used to be called Lima as well as “Lima La Gris” (The Gray) for very different reasons, but Lima is more of that; much more.  Lima is history and culture; is modernism and bohemian areas as well as its food, what a food!!

Once you have arrived at Lima airport, you will be greeted by a Peru & U representative who will transfer you to your hotel, and the way or at your hotel you will be given a briefing and overview of your itinerary and the answers to the questions you may have.

The rest of the day is for you to explore Lima and its delicious gastronomy at your leisure.

Day 2 LIMA – CITY TOUR (B)

Lima, the city of kings or Lima the grey city; whatever they call this beautiful city, Lima is a very important city that will captivate you

Once you have finished breakfast, you will be introduced to the many sides of Lima, Peru’s modern capital and its largest city. This multifaceted city contains contrasts of modern, colonial, and ancient elements which is actually a quite fair representation of Peru.

Lima is exhilarating, as most cities are fast-paced and will definitely challenge your expectations of it after you scratch the surface. Along with your English-speaking guide who will give you a deep explanation about its abundant history and its modern significance, you will immerse in Lima’s colonial history and Spanish roots visiting the Cathedral, the Main Square, and the Catacombs in San Francisco Covent. This contrasts the sites of the residential and trendy areas of San Isidro and Miraflores, where you will see modern Lima at its finest.

This contrasts the sites of the residential and trendy areas of San Isidro and Miraflores, where you will see modern Lima at its finest. After the tour, you will have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your own pace to appreciate its famed culinary scene and nightlife.

Day 3 FROM THE COAST TO THE ANDES (B)

Find colors, feelings, languages, great experiences, and much more that you will discover in this Land of the Incas where the engineering show you the richness and the beginning of this great culture

At your arrival to the Incas land, a Peru & U representative will await you to transfer you to your accommodation.

Once on the way, your itinerary will be reviewed and in the case of having some questions, they will be answered as well. The rest of the day is for you to adjust and acclimatize to the high altitude of Cusco and relax at your leisure.

Day 4 SACRED VALLEY (B, L)

Let´s continue with the adventures, but now you will live the deep of the Incas history, culture, images, landscapes and all that you can imagine

After you have enjoyed breakfast, you will be picked and taken to the precious Sacred Valley. Our first visit will be the archaeological ruins of Pisaq and village, where we will stop by the craft market that lays in the main plaza. This peculiar market stays busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and the locals sell colorful woven cloth, alpaca wool, reproductions of ancient jewelry, engraved gourds, and more. As we then follow the Urubamba river as we will head toward the Ollantaytambo fortress, and impressive construction surrounded by mountains creating fascinating landscapes s explaining of your guide.

After lunchtime, you will be taken to the Ollantaytambo Train Station for you to board your train to Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu town. Once there the rest of the evening is to explore this small and cheerful city at your leisure.

Day 5 MACHU PICCHU (B)

Dreams come true; discoveries, emotions, splendor, enigmatism; all in a unique beautiful place, you will ever be forgotten

Today we must rise early as the highlight of any trip to South America has come. We will take you for 30 min ride by bus that will take you to the Machu Picchu entrance.

Once there you will be amazed immediately by this remarkable Pre-Colombian city left by the Incas.

The sync between the cultural and natural surroundings is simply perfect and along with your guide, you will discover and understand a little more of the secrets and theories of this gorgeous citadel. After your guided tour, you will have the time to wander around its terraces and passages that will have you enchanted all day and capture the moment with beautiful pictures. After a long day of exploring this lost city, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to, later on, board the train back to Cusco, from there a representative will be waiting to transfer you back to Cusco. Once in Cusco by the evening, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the cobblestone streets of this magical city.

Day 6 HUMANTAY LAKE (B, L)

In a very high altitude find a spectacular turquoise lake, with incredible great view around it

Today the day rises bright and early, as we will pick you up from your hotel, and then drive for about 2 hours until we reach the small village of Mollepata, once we have arrived you will be served a warm breakfast to gain your energy for the day. Afterward, we will head towards Soraypampa, which is the start point of the Salkantay Trek.

The first sees you would notice is the stunning views, if the sky is clear enough then you will be able to see the breathtaking Salkantay and Humantay peaks, the mountain guardians of the Salkantay Pass. The hike takes about an hour and a half until we reach the lake at a tranquil pace as the tour has a moderate to challenging difficulty, but all that will be forgotten as you lay eyes on the emerald waters and blue sky reflecting on the lake. You may consider (for an extra cost) renting a horse instead of hiking up to the lake if you do not feel like walking.

Once there you will have enough time to take amazing pictures, make an offering to Mother Earth, and for the bravest ones even swim, of course, if the weather allows it. After a break, we will start the descent back to Saraypampa, surely easier than the way up. Once in Soraympampa, a rewarding lunch await you, and after a very well deserved time for resting, we must return back to Cusco. The rest of the evening is yours to explore at your leisure.

Day 7 RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (B, L)

Discover one of the icons of Perú, the famous Vinicunca Rainbow mountain, ready to reach the 5000 masl?

It contrasts with the Rainbow Mountain tour which has a very challenging uphill ascent. The walk at Vinicunca is broken up by the various views, including the peak mountains and panoramic views of the Red Valley. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a delicious lunch until is time to return back to Cusco at around 5 pm.

Day 8 FROM THE ANDES TO THE JUNGLE (B, L, D)

Change your view and your perspectives, find the greenest with lots of species, beautiful panoramas, and a great program

After breakfast in your hotel, continuing with the amazing tour, you will be transported to the airport for a short flight to the Amazonian town of Puerto Maldonado. Once there, you will be picked up at the airport and then transfer to the port, from where you will take an hour-long boat ride through the scenic Madre de Dios river toward your selected lodge.

According to your lodge activities, you may have your first interaction with the jungle by having a short hike to watch beautiful trees, and breathtaking surroundings, at some point we will reach a lookout where you will have the opportunity to observe toucans and macaws until is time to go back to the lodge to see the sunset. The rest of the day is for you to relax in the pool or enjoy a cocktail. Before having a delicious dinner, you will take on a nocturne safari by boat hoping to see a caiman on the river banks on your way back to the lodge, dinner will be served.

Note: Please note that the activates of this and the following days might change according to your lodge selection for your Tambopata experience.

Day 9 ACTIVITIES IN TAMBOPATA (B, L, D)

Full day ogf great jungle activities

After a restful night of sleep listening to the comforting sounds of the jungle, you will awake to a delicious breakfast of local food. You will then embark on the adventures of the day. There are plenty of activities for instance: taking a canopy tour, a hiking through the botanical reserve Concepcion, visiting a local community, paddling along lakes teeming with exotic wildlife and more!

Day 10 PUERTO MALDONADO FAREWELL! (B)

Well, nothing can erase everything you have experienced and lived.  The peruvian experience will remain for a very long time in your memory up to the moment that you decide to come back!

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Leonard Ms. Roxiana(Lima), Mr. Daniel(Inca), Mr. Percy( Cusco), Mr. Alex (rainbow mountain) and all the drivers for orchestrating such a flawless trip. This journey has been unlike any other I've experienced, thanks to the impeccable execution and attention to detail provided by both of you. Your daily updates and prompt responses truly set the standard for customer service. Each of our tour guides was a consummate professional, ensuring our well-being and going above and beyond to accommodate any anything we encountered or wanted to explore. Premium Peru Tour

Premium Peru

Loved Peru. I found the people take great pride in their cities, culture and history and it shows in how clean the streets are, how great the food is and how wonderful the guides are. Loved the wildlife, the scenery and archeological sites too. My only downside was the airport.. Delayed flights and when trying to return home, no signage to show the directions from domestic (Cusco to Lima) to international section of airport. When I asked for help, I was told to go out the door, come back in the door next to it, only to find out that I needed to go outside, go to section adjacent and then go upstairs to departures which also had no sign there for "international departures". The LATAM staff gave me the run around on my luggage. One person said it would go automatically to Newark another said pick up your luggage in Lima and transfer to United. My luggage never arrived in Lima nor in Newark. When I arrived in Newark the United people said that LATAM was lying as it is never sent on directly and had to be collected and transferred by hand in Lima. I had to file a lost baggage claim upon final arrival in Canada . Still waiting for news.

Booking the Inkayni team is a great choice, even just for the caliber of their tour guides! Fredy, our tour guide. We were extremely fortunate to have him and Gabriel as our driver. Andree answered all of our inquiries and has a wealth of knowledge about the Incan Empire. He always made an effort to make sure we were comfortable and in good health (the altitude sickness can be challenging). Our trip, including our tours of the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu, made us really pleased and fortunate. In addition to the fantastic tours at Titicaca Lake, we also learned about the customs of the locals on the islands.

The trek was absolutely amazing, to hike through the different landscapes and microclimates is an experience you definitely shouldn't miss. Apart from the trek itself, the staff was incredible as well. Our chef Alejandro provided us with massive amounts of food every day and the porters supported us with carrying our stuff, putting up our tents and making everything a lot easier. Kudos also to our tour guide Roger who was always there for a chat and was a great support in every point of view.

I started my communication with Leoned for the Inca Treasure - Machu Picchu tour, he gave me more details of this fabulous trip, he was very receptive to any of my messages. Our guide Erwin, was a knowledgeable person, touring Machu Picchu with him was fun, exciting and amazing. I really appreciate everything you did to make this trip with my 9 year old son fabulous, he was accommodating in every way. We stayed at the Ayni hotel, which is not so close to the city center but gives you all the comfort and silence you need to rest, they have an exceptional breakfast, huge and wonderful bedroom, all the staff was exceptional and went out of their way to help you. I would definitely recommend Waman adventures again and again if you travel to Peru!

affordable-all-inclusive-resorts-oceana-maya-kidney-shaped-pool

As a travel writer and editor for over a decade, I learned a thing or two about planning domestic and foreign trips…but I didn’t come around to the delight of the practically-planning-free allure of the all-inclusive resort until later in my experience excursion-ing. This appreciation was hard-won—I discovered how much more stressful it is to plan a trip budgeting my own money rather than company funds; you would too, if an a-la-carte resort charged an exorbitant amount for room service oatmeal and pot of coffee. Here are my suggestions for the top affordable all-inclusive resorts I’d travel to in 2024, ranging from beachy escapes in the Caribbean and Mexico to a couple surprising escapes right here in the U.S.

20 of the Best All-Inclusive Resorts in the U.S.

What Are the Advantages to All-Inclusive Resorts?

If you stay at an all-inclusive, you’re (mostly) safe from sticker shock when you’re presented with your final bill. Since the food, resort activities, Wi-Fi, parking and all the other little extras are bundled into the nightly rate, you are free to just roam the grounds booking your dinners, borrowing your water sports equipment and parking your kids in the kids’ club when you want that much-deserved me (or us) time.

However, buyer beware: While the term “all-inclusive” sounds definitive, the precise meaning can change depending on where in the world you’re booking your stay. For example, in coastal Mexican and tropical Caribbean resorts, the label usually means the price of the nightly room includes meals, activities and—this adds up, vacationers—unlimited alcoholic drinks. (So, for instance, imagine you’re on a cruise , except the ship analog would be the boundaries of your Cancun resort.) By contrast, in popular destinations including Hawaii, Las Vegas and continental U.S. resorts, room charges usually only cover the overnight room stay itself, with possibly a breakfast included. In these cases, sometimes domestic resorts will bundle room nights together and add themed perks—say, a show at the resort’s casino and dinner or a set of activities suitable for children—for a special price.

How I Chose the Top Affordable All-Inclusive Resorts

I searched for resorts with high-ranking user reviews costing below $350 per night, including meals and activities. Resort rates can swing wildly—from the premium on high season bookings during spring and summer school holidays, as well as during winter to the relative bargain shoulder season booking opportunities between Thanksgiving and New Year. So for comparison’s sake, I quoted prices for the May-June booking season. When resort rates diverge from the all-meals, all-activities model, I note it in the text. Now then, on to your stress-free moveable feasts of sun, fun and vacation affordability.

It’s couples-only, a tradition of this honeymoon spot kept in place to ensure clients are focused on making babies rather than chasing after them. Only an hour drive upstate from the George Washington Bridge in New York City, treat yourself and your SO to days filled with nature tails (really exceptional during fall foliage season) and nights of dining in your choice of two restaurants before retiring to your suite with round king-size bed, heart-shaped tub and the aforementioned towering Champagne glass tub. The 7 Best Cruise Lines for Families, Vetted by a Frequent Cruiser

7 of the best all-inclusive experiences to book this year, from a travel planner

  • As a travel planner, my clients seem to be increasingly interested in all-inclusive trips .
  • Some of my favorite luxury resorts are in Costa Rica, the Maldives, and Isla Mujeres.
  • Cruises, group tours, and adults-only lodgings can also come with all-inclusive options.

Insider Today

As a travel planner at Marvelous Mouse Travels , I know vacations are expensive — especially if you're looking to go somewhere this summer . But all-inclusive travel is often a great way to get the most value out of a luxury experience.

I've been on several all-inclusive vacations with my family, friends, and work, and I've helped other people book them in destinations around the world .

Here are some of the best all-inclusive experiences I'm recommending to my clients this year.

Try a split-stay vacation to see the best of Costa Rica.

peru tour all inclusive

Costa Rica is one of the most sought-after vacations , and for good reason. It's great for both relaxation and adventure.

I recommend booking a split stay, starting at an all-inclusive resort in Guanacaste near the beach for some fun in the sun and moving to a resort near the famous Arenal Volcano for a jungle adventure.

Some of my favorite resorts in Costa Rica are the Westin Reserva Conchal and the Dreams Las Mareas. And if you're looking for an even more unique experience, check out the glorious swim-out suites with private pools at Dreams.

Baglioni Maldives is one of my favorite all-inclusive resorts.

peru tour all inclusive

The Maldives, a remote set of islands in the Indian Ocean, offers a plethora of resort options for couples and families, but Baglioni Maldives is my favorite.

For many in the US, getting to the islands can be daunting — there are very few direct commercial flights, and it can take almost an entire day. But it's hard to beat the country's luxury accommodations and gorgeous landscape.

The Maldives also has some of the most beautiful marine life and coveted spots for snorkeling and scuba diving.

No matter where you go, overwater bungalows are the ultimate all-inclusive splurge.

peru tour all inclusive

Overwater bungalows — villas standing on poles over open ocean water — are prevalent at all-inclusive resorts in destinations like the Maldives, Fiji, and Bali.

But I've also come across the luxurious accommodations at select adults-only Sandals Resorts throughout the Caribbean.

I think having a private villa on the water is the perfect way to unwind and relax.

Adults-only vacations are on the rise.

peru tour all inclusive

Traveling with kids can be a blast, but I also think it's important for adults to take a much-needed break on their own.

Adults-only resorts have been a total respite for me and my husband after hectic months of juggling work with our kids' school and sports schedules.

If you're looking to unwind with a partner, relax on a girls' trip, or even connect with your adult children, there are countless adults-only, all-inclusive resorts to choose from, depending on where you're looking to visit.

Some properties, including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, also offer butler service. Designated staff members can help with anything from room requests and dining reservations to cabana rentals and transportation coordination.

I upgraded to the service at my favorite adults-only spot, Le Blanc Los Cabos, and I felt totally pampered.

Isla Mujeres is pure luxury.

peru tour all inclusive

Isla Mujeres, a small island off the coast of Cancún, is known for its crystal-clear, turquoise water and peaceful vibe. It's also home to Playa Norte, one of the best beaches in Mexico .

Impressions Isla Mujeres by Secrets is a gorgeous all-inclusive resort on the island. It offers luxury at its finest, but with only 125 rooms, it has a boutique feel.

One of my favorite features of the resort is the waterslide that leads right into the beautiful ocean.

There are plenty of all-inclusive packages at sea.

peru tour all inclusive

Cruising is one of the most popular vacations , whether it's an epic adventure on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, a couples-only journey on Virgin Voyages, or a regal tour of Europe on Viking River Cruises.

Although cruises aren't traditionally considered all-inclusive, with the right booking, they can have the same feel as a luxury resort.

Most cruise bookings include food, nonalcoholic drinks, and live entertainment. If you add beverage packages and excursions in advance, your trip should be fully paid for before you depart.

Book a small-group or private tour if you're looking for adventure.

peru tour all inclusive

Group travel is a great way to explore new places while soaking up culture and history.

Popular destinations include Italy, Japan, Costa Rica, and Alaska, and many travel companies take care of everything for you, essentially making it all-inclusive.

I like Adventures by Disney , which offers small-group travel all over the world facilitated by seasoned guides. All the trip details are taken care of, including experiences, food, lodging, and transportation.

Additionally, Kensington Tours offers luxury private travel where every facet of the trip is meticulously planned for you.

peru tour all inclusive

We independently evaluate all recommended products and services. If you click on links we provide, we may receive compensation. Learn more .

The Caribbean is a popular family vacation destination because of its year-round warm, sunny weather, white-sand beaches, breathtakingly clear waters, and easy access from the East Coast. What really makes the difference for many families, though, is this idyllic region's abundance of incredible all-inclusive resorts.

These resorts offer everything families need for a perfect vacation in one convenient package — accommodations, meals, drinks, and activities. The Caribbean's best all-inclusive resorts for families also make space for child-centric programming like kids clubs, dedicated family pools, and even on-site water parks.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up the best family-friendly all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean to book for your next warm-weather getaway with kids — including a private island oasis in Antigua and a sprawling resort on the Turks and Caicos archipelago.

Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive

Divi & Tamarijn

Also available to book at Expedia.com and Hotels.com

Located along a serene stretch of Eagle Beach, Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive boasts a prime oceanfront location plus an abundance of kid-friendly activities and amenities, like a state-of-the-art kids club and biking, snorkeling, and pickleball.

The kids club is only open on weekdays.

Families can soak up the sun at Tamarijn Aruba, which happens to be on Travel + Leisure ’s list of the best all-inclusives in Aruba . Kids ages 4-12 can stay, play, and eat free at the Sea Turtles Club, where they'll enjoy crafting, face painting, movie screenings, bingo, kite-making, and tie-dye.

Meanwhile, adults can post up on the beach or at one of the four pools — or indulge in a spa treatment — before regrouping for family-friendly fun like biking, snorkeling, pickleball, tennis, and basketball. A stay here also grants you access to over 15 restaurants and bars (including options at sister property Divi Aruba), meaning picky eaters of all ages have plenty of choices.

"I stayed at The Tamarijn with friends, and there was nothing like starting and ending the day on the balcony, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore directly in front of our room," said T+L contributor Jacquline Dole .

The Details:

  • Inclusions: All food and drink, activities, and gratuities
  • Kids Club: Free, available for children ages 4-12

  • Rates: Start at $845 per night based on two adults

Beaches Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks & Caicos

Also available to book at Expedia.com

This all-inclusive has everything you could ever want or need for a fun-filled family vacation: 20-plus restaurants, dozens of complimentary activities, a massive water park, and complimentary kids club programming for children ages 0-17.

Since the resort is pretty crowded, you must wake up early to secure beach chairs for the whole family.

Beaches Turks and Caicos offers a 45,000-square-foot water park, 21 restaurants, 10 sparkling swimming pools, and miles of sugar-sand beaches. Little ones can mix and mingle with their favorite Sesame Street characters while adolescents can hit up the Xbox Play Lounge or teen disco. The kids camp offers specialized, complimentary facilities for children of all ages, including an Infant Program (ages 0-2), a Toddler Program (ages 3-4), a Navigators Program (ages 5-7), the Adventurers Program (ages 8-10), a Tweens Program (ages 11-14), and Teen Program (ages 15-17). Beaches is also a Certified Autism Center with specially trained staff to support children with specialized needs.

The 758-room property is divided into five villages, which makes its sprawling size feel a little less overwhelming. While you can’t go wrong with any of the room categories, larger families will appreciate the ultra-luxe three- and four-bedroom villas, which include private butler service.

"I was genuinely floored by how many places there are to eat — the food options can satisfy picky eaters and those looking for fine-dining options," said Anna Popp , associate commerce editor at T+L.

  • Inclusions: Unlimited drinking and dining, gratuities, unlimited land sports, non-motorized water sports, scuba diving, water park access
  • Kids Club: Free, available for children ages 0-17
  • Location: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
  • Rates: Start at $424 per adult per night and $38 per child per night

Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection

Royalton Negril

Set on a secluded stretch of sand, Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection offers spacious all-suite accommodations and active pursuits like non-motorized water sports and tennis.

Spa access isn't included.

All ages will enjoy a stay at the sun-soaked Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection — take it from me. Even though my family stayed at the attached adults-only sister property, the Hideaway at Royalton Negril, we shared many amenities, including activities, bars, and restaurants.

Dining highlights include the excellent buffet with a separate kids section for comfort classics like chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks, a coffee and gelato shop that serves up refreshing sweet treats, and a lively hibachi eatery where singing and dancing are very encouraged.

While you sip tropical cocktails at the swim-up bar or enjoy the spa, children ages 4-12 can play at the kids club, and adolescents can play video games, ping pong, and tennis at the teen club. The beach area on the family-friendly side is expansive and hosts non-motorized water sports like Hobie Cats and paddle boards.

At the end of an action-packed day, retreat to your luxury suite. The family suites are especially popular because they have privacy doors between the sofa area and the main room, and the bathrooms have Jacuzzis for an extra-luxe touch. I recommend splurging on The Diamond Club, which includes butler service. Helpful staff members are on hand to reserve beach chairs, deliver food and drinks, and arrange dinner reservations — which comes in handy in the peak season around the holidays when groups trying to secure large tables line up at the restaurants.

  • Inclusions: Unlimited dining and drinking, daily entertainment and nightly shows, water sports, splash pad
  • Location: Negril, Jamaica
  • Rates: Start at $330 per night per adult and $440 per night for one adult and one child

Grand Palladium Jamaica

Taylor McIntyre / Travel + Leisure

This newly renovated hotel stands out for its sleek rooms and suites, ample activities and amenities, 20-plus drinking and dining venues, and sparkling swimming pools, including Jamaica’s largest.

The property’s large size means lots of walking.

Fresh off a multimillion-dollar renovation, Grand Palladium Jamaica in Montego Bay will delight you with five pools, 23 drinking and dining venues, and a seemingly endless amount of complimentary activities and entertainment offerings such as live reggae bands, kids Olympics, non-motorized water sports, and mini golf.

The main pool — said to be the largest in Jamaica — is a stunning infinity pool, and the children's pool includes a water park. The property also has a Baby Club for kids 1-3 years old, a Mini Club for children ages 4-12, and the Black & White Junior Club for tweens and teens. We'd be remiss not to mention the newly refreshed rooms and suites, each featuring contemporary decor and furnishings, private terraces, and hydromassage bathtubs.

"I visited the Grand Palladium Jamaica in September 2023 after it underwent a $27.5 million renovation. The resort sticks to its name by being truly grand... [It] strikes a nice balance of lively party and serenity, allowing guests to really make their own adventure," said T+L senior visual editor Taylor McIntyre .

  • Inclusions: Drinking and dining, daytime and evening entertainment, kids activities, non-motorized water sports, gratuities
  • Kids Club: Free, available for children ages 1-17
  • Location: Montego Bay, Jamaica
  • Rates: Start at $236

Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa

Also available to book at Booking.com

This all-inclusive resort is ideal for adventure-seeking families and boasts a mile-long beach, a sprawling paintball course, and St. Lucia’s largest water park.

The water can be a bit choppy since the property is located on the Atlantic side of St. Lucia.

At Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, three of the five pools are designed for families: the zero-entry Splash Pool with its sloping entrance, the Activity Pool, where you and your fam can play volleyball, and the Splash Plunge Pool. The property is also home to the island’s largest water park — CocoLand, which boasts slides and a lazy river.

It gets better: The resort is home to a 30,000-square-foot paintball course. There are also eight restaurants, seven bars, and a mile-long white-sand beach where you can play volleyball, throw horseshoes, go kitesurfing, and partake in action-packed water sports. Other activities and entertainment offerings include reggae lessons, themed beach parties, karaoke, tennis, and basketball. Caretakers may also send little ones ages 3-12 to the CocoLand Kidz Klub.

Splash, the family-friendly accommodations wing, offers spacious rooms and suites with private patios and separate seating areas, including connecting units for larger groups.

  • Inclusions: Unlimited drinking and dining, water park, daytime and nighttime entertainment, gratuities
  • Kids Club: Free, available for children ages three months to 12 years old
  • Location: Vieux Fort Lighthouse, St. Lucia

Club Med Punta Cana

With unlimited land and water sports like sailing and trapeze, Club Med Punta Cana appeals to active families.

There are only three restaurants.

Club Med Punta Cana spans 100 oceanfront acres and is Club Med’s flagship family-friendly property. Trust me: There’s something for everyone here. The value-packed amenities, like complimentary sailing lessons and a state-of-the-art circus and trapeze facility, blew me away. These are just a few of the over 30 activities included in your stay, including archery, pickleball, snorkeling, kayaking, and tennis and dance lessons.

I admit I didn’t travel here with children, but I was impressed with the kid- and family-friendly programming, including exclusive spaces like a dedicated pool. Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med are available for kids 0-2 and 2-3, respectively. Mini Club Med, suited for ages 4-10, offers activities like sailing and archery lessons. There’s also Teen Club Med (ages 11-13) and Chill Pass Club Med (ages 14-17). If you're traveling with a big crew, stay in one of the newly renovated, tropical-inspired two-bedroom family suites.

  • Inclusions: All drinking and dining, unlimited land and water sports, gratuities
  • Kids Club: Free for children ages 4-17; club for ages 0-4 is an additional cost
  • Location: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
  • Rates: Start at $170 per person per night

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is a luxurious family-oriented resort with spacious all-suite accommodations, plus noteworthy amenities like a massive water park.

Restaurants and bars can get quite crowded and may require a long wait to be seated.

Located in Punta Cana's swanky resort area, Cap Cana, this all-inclusive resort has ample amenities, including a water park complete with a lazy river, a massive infinity pool, a stunning beach area, and 12 restaurants and bars. The kids and teens clubs offer interactive activities, supervised games, and even VR simulators. During the day, you can partake in non-motorized water sports and volleyball before enjoying family-friendly music and dance performances in the evening at the outdoor amphitheater.

Henley Vazquez , T+L A-list travel advisor and Fora co-founder, describes the property as “popular with advisors and travelers because it has incredible activities for kids during the day — including great water slides — and lovely amenities for adults, too.” Additionally, “The rooms are beautiful, the food is great, and you can fly directly into Punta Cana, which makes it convenient, too.”

  • Inclusions: Food and drink, water park access, land and non-motorized water sports, live entertainment

Curtain Bluff

Also available to book at Hotels.com and Tripadvisor.com

This serene 72-room resort is unique because it offers both non-motorized and motorized water sports at no additional cost. Plus, it has not one but two private beaches.

There are no performances or lively nightlife activities besides live music during dinner.

The World’s Best Award-winning Curtain Bluff in Antigua is unique because it offers an intimate and refined feel — which is rare for an inclusive property. Although the property has just 72 rooms and suites, families have plenty of room to roam out on the sand on the two private beaches. Cee Bee Kids Camp is great for kids ages 3-10 who like to craft, sail, and snorkel.

“What I love about Curtain Bluff is that when they say all-inclusive, they mean all-inclusive — even the water sports!” says Vazquez. She continues, “You can go and read a book on the beach while your kids are learning how to sail at no additional cost.”

  • Inclusions: All meals and drinks, water sports, land activities
  • Kids Club:  Free, available for children ages 3-10
  • Location: Old Road, Antigua
  • Rates: Start at $1,050

Jumby Bay feels like your very own private oasis — and that’s because it is.

It’s definitely a splurge — rates start at over $2,000 per night.

Serenity-seeking families need not look further than this pristine private island resort in Antigua, accessible only via boat. A World’s Best Award winner , Jumby Bay spans 300 acres, “giving kids lots of space to explore safely and families plenty of room to run, bike, and play without worries of disturbing couples,” Vazquez says. You and your family can wakeboard, sail Hobie Cats, or go snorkeling, and the Camp Jumby Pavilion offers kid-friendly fun and games, including relay races, water sports, bake-offs, and musical instrument lessons.

Feel to bring the whole family — aunts, uncles, and cousins included. “The accommodations range from rooms and suites to huge estates, so whether it's a smaller family in need of a room plus a rollaway, a multi-gen looking for the flexibility of space, or a group who loves the privacy of a villa but the services of a hotel, you're covered,” Vazquez says.

  • Inclusions: All-day dining, drinks, water sports, land activities, gratuities
  • Kids Club: Free, available for children ages 3-11
  • Location: Jumby Bay, Antigua
  • Rates: Start at $2,300

Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels

Turtle Beach

Located on a prime stretch of sand in Christ Church, this all-inclusive includes an impressive kids club, non-motorized water sports, and dance lessons to keep families entertained for hours.

The property doesn't offer multi-bedroom suites.

On the southern shore of Barbados, this all-inclusive Marriott resort is among the island’s best. While some families are happy to lounge poolside or on the beach all day, others may prefer more action. This property has you covered. Think cricket, crafting, dance lessons, tennis, and non-motorized water sports. Little ones can splash around in the dedicated children's pool, and the beloved Fly Fishing Club offers a variety of activities for kids 4-12 years old. Other highlights include five dining venues and spacious all-suite accommodations with breezy island-inspired decor and private balconies or terraces.

  • Inclusions: Dining, non-motorized water sports, land sports, gratuities
  • Location: Christ Church, Barbados
  • Rates: Start at $257

Know Before You Go

Understand the different pricing structures..

“While some all-inclusives can be a great deal, they don’t all equate to a less-expensive trip,” says Vazquez. “For instance, when booking online, all-inclusives are priced based on occupancy, so if you’re booking a room for two but you’re a family of four, the room price will change.”

Additionally, it's worth noting that some properties allow kids below a certain age to stay for free, while others will charge a fee. It’s critical to have a set budget ahead of time to ensure you’re picking a property that best aligns with what you’d like to spend.

Read the fine print.

Put simply: “‘All-inclusive’ does not mean the same thing everywhere,” Vazquez explains. For example, “Some properties might exclude water sports or certain beverage options, so be sure to read the fine print!”

Before booking a resort, identify what you want in an all-inclusive. Do you want complimentary motorized water sports? Gratuities? Premium alcoholic beverages? Ensure the property meets your specific needs and expectations.

Check for seasonal amenities.

Some activities, amenities, and facilities may only be available for part of the year. For example, the Surf Shack at St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort, which offers kitesurfing, wing foiling, and gear rentals, is open from November to June. And at Curtain Bluff, the Cee Bee Kids Camp is open six days per week over peak holidays — and only five days per week most other times of the year.

How We Chose These Hotels

Travel writer Lauren Dana Ellman poured through user reviews, ratings, and T+L editor picks — including World’s Best Award winners — to narrow down the top all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean for families. She also tapped Henley Vazquez, a T+L A-list travel advisor with extensive experience planning family travel in the Caribbean. Additionally, Lauren has personally visited over a dozen all-inclusive resorts — many in the Caribbean — with her family and relied on her travels and experiences to complete the list. Of course, these hotel recommendations also align with our T+L Hotel Values .

20 Years Helping You Live Richer

Reviewed by Experts

Trusted by Millions of Readers

If you could live at an all-inclusive resort for less than your current lifestyle, would you?

Because for some Americans, that math actually holds true.

Don’t believe it? Let’s dig into the numbers.

Cost of Living in the US

TikToker Ben Keenan actually ran the numbers for himself in a (now viral) video. He came up with the following monthly costs, which would disappear if he lived at an all-inclusive resort:

  • Rent: $2,300
  • Average Utilities: $300
  • Car & Insurance: $320
  • Groceries: $400
  • Dinners Out: $300
  • Drinks/Going Out: $300

The grand total for him came to $4,000 per month.

Your expenses vary from his, of course — but probably not by huge margins. According to Zillow, the median rent in the US is $2,100.

Meanwhile, the average cost to own a new car is $12,182 per year ($1,015/month), including all expenses such as insurance, repairs, maintenance, gas and so on. You might spend more or less on groceries or entertainment than Ben, but his numbers aren’t outlandish.

Cost of All-Inclusive Resorts

Like most things, pricing tends to scale based on volume. In this case, you can often pay less per night when you stay longer.

In scrolling through all-inclusive resorts, Keenan found one in the Dominican Republic that charged $3,100 and another in Mexico charging $4,500.

These fall within the range that many Americans pay for their combined housing, food and drink, and transportation-related costs, as outlined above. If you live at an all-inclusive resort, you don’t need a car or groceries, after all.

Depending on your budget, you could potentially  save money by living at an all-inclusive resort.

Cost of All-Inclusive Cruises

Likewise, more stories have hit the news in recent years of adventuresome retirees and digital nomads living on cruise ships.

The potential cost varies, of course, just like all-inclusive resorts. CruiseHive estimates between $60,000 and $150,000 per year.

But Keenan ran the numbers combining two cruises for a total of 37 days that cost $4,042.

The cost for both all-inclusive cruises and resorts also changes depending on how many people are going in on them. A married couple could live a cheaper per-person lifestyle than a single one, although the same is true for living in an apartment or house.

Downsides of the All-Inclusive Lifestyle

That all sounds great in theory, but what would it be like to live at an all-inclusive resort or cruise?

To begin with, you wouldn’t have much living space — especially on a cruise ship. While you wouldn’t have to live out of a suitcase, you’d still live a life with minimal personal belongings. Which might suit you just fine.

You also wouldn’t have access to a kitchen, unless you booked an extended stay suite with one. That, in turn, means you lose the option of cooking for yourself. Not everyone would mind, but it leaves you at the mercy of the food available at the resort. You might get sick of the dish rotation or may not find it healthy enough for your taste.

Then there’s the risk of boredom. All-inclusive resorts and cruise ships are, by definition, closed spaces. While often beautiful, they offer only limited access to the wider world. The same few restaurants, bars, beaches, and amenities might lose their luster after a week or two, much less months on end.

Finally, you’d have to hop on a plane to visit friends and family back in the States. Which, of course, costs money that you don’t necessarily spend now.

Living at an all-inclusive resort is a fun thought experiment and a great “What If.” But most Americans would probably find the reality less sexy than the idea.

This Is the Most Popular All-Inclusive in Aruba, According to Travel Agents

An island’s most successful resort can be defined in many ways from its service to its privacy and, most importantly to Caribbean specialists, its popularity among travelers.

With all those factors in mind, advisors, in an official pool that included more than 100 advisors, named their go-to hotel to pitch to adult clients looking for an all-inclusive experience.
