Dave Matthews Band: 2022 Summer Tour at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion

Dave matthews band tickets, freedom mortgage pavilion | camden, new jersey.

The second day of Dave Matthews Band at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ, on Saturday, July 16th 2022. Grab some tickets and come on down for this absolutely solid Jam Band, touring nonstop almost since they were conceived back in the early 90s, and playing hits off from any of their seven consecutive number 1 albums plus doing covers like you’ve never heard them before! The best part of all this is you can do it guilt free, as DMB has committed to helping plant an additional one million trees in 2022 to offset their and your footprint.

Dave Matthews Band: 2022 Summer Tour at BB&T Pavilion

Formed by the amazing singer-songwriter and guitarist David John Matthews, with bassist Stefan Lessard and drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, as well as newer members, lead guitarist Tim Reynolds, trumpet player Rashawn Ross, saxophonist Jeff Coffin and keyboardist Buddy Strong. The Dave Matthews Band hit the ground running from the very beginning, as they went from playing their first gig at a private rooftop party in 1991 to their first Grammy Award nomination in 1995 and their first win for Best Rock Performance in 1996. By 2018 with the release of their ninth studio album, “Come Tomorrow”, the DMB became the first band in music history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at the top of the chart.

In 2020 the Dave Matthews Band committed to plant a million trees as a collective effort and the band invites fans to join them by contributing to The Nature Conservancy’s “Plant A Billion” campaign, a major reforestation effort with a goal of planting a billion trees across the planet. Over the past two years, Dave Matthews Band has planted over 2 million trees through this partnership and has committed to helping plant an additional one million trees in 2022.

Dave Matthews is best known as the frontman of the Dave Matthews Band—obviously—which uses his name. The group is still and always has been the focus for the musician, but there was a time when he tried his hand at a solo career. He only released one album on his own, and while it seemingly disappeared from memory for many, its performance on the charts in America this week suggests that there is still a crowd that loves the project.

Some Devil , Matthews’ lone solo album, arrives on two Billboard charts this week. It’s not new—though it is to one of these rankings—but it was recently re-released on vinyl, which clearly spurred plenty of fans to pick up a copy of the decades-old title.

On this week’s Top Album Sales chart, Some Devil returns at No. 8. It once climbed as high as No. 2 during its heyday, and it’s spent 23 frames somewhere on the list of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in the country.

In the past tracking week, Some Devil sold 6,147 copies, according to Luminate. That’s a sizable figure for nearly any album in the U.S. at a time when so many artists rely on streaming success to propel them up the charts. That number is made even more impressive when it’s compared to how the set sold the frame prior.

The week before the vinyl release of Some Devil began impacting the charts, it only sold seven copies. That means that from one frame to the next, Matthews’ solo collection’s sales figure grew by 87,714%.

Some Devil sold so well on vinyl that it debuts on another, more specific tally as well this week. Matthews’ only solo offering opens at No. 4 on the Vinyl Albums chart, a tally that is specific to the format. The singer-songwriter debuts behind new releases from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign and Dua Lipa. Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department is down slightly to the runner-up rung.

Matthews released Some Devil in September 2003. The album nearly conquered the Billboard 200, but missed out on ruling by one space. It was a fair commercial success, winning the musician a Grammy—his only prize on his own—for the single “Gravedigger,” which was named the Best Rock Song.
