We waited at the stop for 1.5 hours and no bus came. So we gave up and just went by taxi to the places we wanted to see. I cannot imagine you would be able to complete a full loop at this rate. We just missed the 10 am bus from stop 4, which is the gold Buddha temple, so looked around that whilst we waited for the next one! Be prepared for a little wait and also the bus stops don’t state that it’s the Hop on Hop off like they do in other cities around the world! My husband, being disabled, was able to gain access and we sat in the air conditioned bus with the commentary on English. Very informative information, had no problem with it being out of sync or not enough etc. We did a loop in an hour and 20 mins, and yes there was traffic!! This is Bangkok!! But it wasn’t horrific like in other cities, there aren’t blazing horns or screaming drivers, all in their stride and that’s what you have to accept! • jdramsey504 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles A disappointing first tour of wonderful Bangkok I very rarely leave terrible reviews on TA but this tour was the worst hop on/hop off experience I've encounted....and we take them in a lot of cities. Online, I was able to ascertain that the nearest stop was just 5 minutes from our hotel (Pullman G) so we double checked with concierge (he recommended tour) and headed over. It's not marked other than a regular bus stop sign but it's between the elevated rail station and the Standard Hotel so pretty obvious. A friend noticed the bus had just left within the last 5-10 minutes based on the GPS feature on the app (good touch) and we knew buses ran every 30 minutes or so. A full hour later in, we were all sweating and feeling kinda stupid for still waiting for the bus when it finally arrived. In most cities, the driver and guide are two different people but not here. We paid in That baht but the driver had no change. So we each gave him 1000 baht for the 800B ticket and he said he'd bring the paper ticket and the change upstairs to us. Stop and start traffic (mostly stop), full sun and views of the underside of the skytrain dominated the ride. I know the driver can't control traffic but we spent huge amounts of time stopped at various tour stops getting people on and off the bus. Missed multiple cycles of lights and the Bangkok red lights can be nearly two minutes long. If you miss a few... Out of 9 of us, only 4 had fully functional earphones without static but there were huge gaps in commentary as well. Mostly just music. We passed a lot of sights (and several stops) with nothing mentioned. Odd. We intended to do the entire loop and then "repeat" key places the following day. When we finally got the Royal Palace, we decided enough was enough and got off the bus. The poor driver still didn't have change and had to beg street vendors to get it. He didn't collect enough change but we took 50% and considered it "lesson learned." Worth noting that it wasn't just our group that weren't getting into the tour that day. Nearly everyone on top of the full bus commented that it wasn't up to Hop On/Hop Off standards. My advice. SKIP. ps - the city's hop on/hop off boat service is wonderful. So we did not hesitate to jump on discovering Bangkok this way with Elephant Go Go. It was first not easy to distinguish between Elephant Go Go & CitySightSeeing and it took me some time to understand they are the same and unique in Bangkok. So we took a 48h ticket for me and my wife, our 4 years old son traveling for free. To start with the good side, the crew is really nice and the tour does a good job taking us to the cool things to see. On the bad side now, if you take a 48h ticket, it’s in fact a two half day ticket. We were staying in Khaosan and first bus is around 9:30 while the last possible return is at 2pm… we got stuck once in Siam Paragon and the next day at 2:20pm in the Wat Pho. So I advise to take a one day ticket, do the full tour to see where you want to go and that’s it. A much better option for most of the places near the river Chao Phraya is to buy the hop-on hop-off boat that run between 8:30am and 8pm. Read more Written 2 November 2023

We found finding the initial bus stop hard as it was not signposted and had to guess where it was. • From the first to the last bus stop, the route takes approximately 3–3.5 hours, depending on the traffic and road closures.
• The validity period of each package shall commence when the customer redeems the package at or through the Company’s dedicated channels and will expire in the next 24-hour, 48-hour or 72-hour, as the case may be. For example, if the customer redeems the 24-hour package at 15.00 of 1st January 2022, the package will expire at 14.59 of 2nd January 2022.

I understand traffic can cause a delay, but how can there be a pickup at every stop every 30 minutes when there are only 4 buses running with 16 stops? I wouldn’t do it again. So we did not hesitate to jump on discovering Bangkok this way with Elephant Go Go. It was first not easy to distinguish between Elephant Go Go & CitySightSeeing and it took me some time to understand they are the same and unique in Bangkok. So we took a 48h ticket for me and my wife, our 4 years old son traveling for free. To start with the good side, the crew is really nice and the tour does a good job taking us to the cool things to see. On the bad side now, if you take a 48h ticket, it’s in fact a two half day ticket. We were staying in Khaosan and first bus is around 9:30 while the last possible return is at 2pm… we got stuck once in Siam Paragon and the next day at 2:20pm in the Wat Pho. So I advise to take a one day ticket, do the full tour to see where you want to go and that’s it. A much better option for most of the places near the river Chao Phraya is to buy the hop-on hop-off boat that run between 8:30am and 8pm. Read more Written November 2, 2023
