Like many other tour companies, Globus goes a lot of places. But where it really shines is with its focus on creating different tour types to suit different travel styles. Globus tour types include:

  • Small Group Discoveries :   Globus’ small-group departures are offered on all Europe and North America tours. These Small Group Discoveries trips average 20 to 24 travelers (compared to classic tour group average group size of 38).
  • Choice Touring:   Globus is the first escorted tour company to offer this sort of adaptive touring. On select stops on European and North American Choice Touring itineraries, guests can choose from three or four possible excursions (all included in the price). So, for example, while visiting Athens, you can choose a tour of the Acropolis Museum, a trip to the Temple of Poseidon, or a cruise to Aegina Island. Globus has 13 Choice Touring itineraries.

  • Escapes by Globus : Off-season Escapes by Globus tours operate between November and March, and offer both better pricing (on average 30% less than the same tour during high season) and benefits like fewer crowds at popular spots. Globus offers 20 Escapes by Globus itineraries, mostly in Europe.
  • Independence by Globus :  New staring in 2023, Globus now offers a selection of independent city stay vacation packages (in Europe) and independent tours (in farther-flung destinations). This option offers the ease of booking that travelers get on a tour with the flexibility that comes with independent travel.
  • Special Event Tours : Globus also offers tours focused on North America’s iconic celebrations like Tournament of Roses Parade, Albuquerque’s Balloon Fiesta, and Alaska’s Iditarod race. These tours include up-close views and behind-the-scenes experiences.
  • Faith-Based Travel :   Globus offers a range of Faith-Based Vacations that offer a chance to reflect upon centuries of religious history.  These Europe-and-Middle-East-focused Christianity-based itineraries explore sacred locations in the Holy Land, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The tour was great

The tour was great. Our tour guide, Miguel, was delightful. So was our bus driver, Joao. The only drawback was that some of the hotels were a little shabby. Globus probably needs to find some alternatives.

A once in a lifetime experience (European Tapestry with London) 2024

My mom and I just went on our first trip with Globus, and it was an amazing experience. Everything was so organized and well planned that we got to just sit back and relax and enjoy our vacation. We did the European Tapestry tour with London which was about 16 days long. Even though it was many days, not once did the level of service reflect that, every day we were greeted with smiles and given the same amount of care and energy that made this trip so enjoyable. Yes, there were some long days on the bus, but our tour guide, Kees, did a wonderful job of keeping us all laughing, and entertained while learning about history and different cultures, and our driver Simon kept us all safe on the road and was so helpful with all of our luggage and extremely kind. The hotels were to our surprise really nice and comfortable, they were above our expectations in cleanliness, accommodations and level of service. The excursions were really the heart of this trip, I would recommend the Swiss Dinner and folklore party, the Tuscan countryside dinner, Monte Carlo and Moulin Rouge. The planning of this trip was so well thought out, we feel we got a little bit of everything, whether that be fun or learning or just relaxing and seeing beautiful sights. This trip was a memorable one and was our first but definitely not our last. Thank you to Globus for such a wonderful and unique experience.

Sicily 2024 - How to ruin a trip?...choose Globus.

Globus Sicilian Review - April 2024 Where do I start…. Tour guide – EXCELLENT! Bus Driver – EXCELLENT! Itinerary- Acceptable Hotel Meals- Sub Par Hotel Breakfast- Sub Par Restaurant meals- Good Hotels- Average at best Hotel Locations - Varied Hotels: Mercure Palermo Centro (Nice location, rude staff, no control of climate) Mahara Hotel & Wellness (No climate control, hotel dinner was listed as veal, but was a slice of roast beef) Della Valle (Poor, unwalkable location, no climate control, hotel dinner was pork cutlet) Poggio Del Sole Resort (5 miles from a town, no climate control, hotel dinner was 2 chicken legs) Mercure Siracusa (Nice hotel and location, a/c was on, best hotel to this point) Hellenia Yachting Hotel. (Nicer hotel on the water, great location, no climate control, and a feral cat problem) Our experience at the Hellenia was shocking. We were told that the A/C was not available yet, and were advised to open the window and slider, which had no screens. The problem…there are feral cats living on the building. The cats entered the room at will. We were forced to crack the slider and window and secure with a chair or water bottle wedged in the opening. Unfortunately, the cats perched themselves on the window sill and balcony, pushing on the glass to try to get entry. We had to close the curtains, which blocked the little airflow through the cracked door. I brought my concern up to the hotel staff at the front desk, when I requested a fan. All three associates looked at me, emotionless, when I mentioned the cat problem. And the “bonus” was early morning roof construction on our final day. An additional observation….although the climate control was off in the rooms, the lobby and common spaces were air conditioned. Overall, our trip was satisfying. The itinerary was good, the country is beautiful, the sights were amazing. Our tour director and bus driver were fantastic. Unfortunately, Globus put little effort into the selection of hotels and meals. Breakfasts were timed early and rushed. Hotel staff could not keep up with multiple tour groups flocking in at the same time. Same breakfast every morning consisting of watery eggs and undercooked bacon. Hotel dinners were also rushed, basic, with no choice of selection. No local dishes, salad, or vegetables on the menu. A meat, a pasta/rice and a common dessert. And be advised, you get either a glass of wine, a beer, or a soft drink included. My observation, Globus may have a reputation to keep, but the hotels have a captive audience. Each hotel was nothing more than a “stop” for an endless number of tours, therefore, they are not catering to return or future guests. Guests are treated like cattle for 18 or 36 hours. Unload the bus, give a room, feed a breakfast/dinner, and get them out. Unfortunately, Globus bears the responsibility for a review like mine. If you are happy with "average", with a bit of "disappointment", then choose Globus.

Ireland but Buyer Beware...

I traveled on the Globus/Cosmos Ireland Tour in Oct. 2023. The tour is priced lower than many others but, Buyer Beware -- you get what you pay for. The Positive: The tour covers the perimeter of Ireland. You experience lots of cute sheep in green meadows, dramatic ocean cliffs and very old castles. The tour guide is knowledgeable and the bus driver is safe and polite. The Negatives: Included Meals -- All breakfasts and three dinners were included in the tour price. One dinner was very good. The rest of the meals were borderline inedible. (Picture ice cold pancakes that have to be sent through the conveyor belt of the toaster machine and diluted oatmeal floating in lukewarm water. (Bring your own granola bars for survival.) Infection Control Precautions -- Several people on this large tour were ill with hacking coughs and sneezing. The air on the tour bus is recirculated. No one -- and I mean no one -- covered their nose or mouth when they sneezed and coughed. There were some face masks available on a tray at the center of the bus that went untouched all week. It was obvious that we were traveling on the pandemic bus but the tour guide made no attempt to point out the face masks nor did he suggest that travelers cover their mouth and nose when they cough and sneeze. I wore my own filter mask all week and endured plenty of dirty looks from the other travelers. I also got sick. (Bring filter masks and lots of hand sanitizer with you.) Hard Sell of Optional Excursions -- Optional excursions during free time are pushed as mandatory. I purchased admission to the Titanic Museum in Belfast (Excellent!) and elected not to attend evening excursions to pubs and similar entertainment venues where significant drinking occurs. On the morning of each of these optional excursions, the tour guide announced to the entire group that 'almost everyone has signed up for the evening excursion' and then he looked at me. On the morning after each optional excursion, the tour guide announced that 'almost everyone had a good time last night' and then he looked at me. The tour guide even had the audacity to send another traveler (a total stranger) to interrogate me on why I would not sign up for the "optional" tours. This was a complete violation of my privacy. The tour guide created a hostile travel environment for me by profiling me as the unfriendly one who won't join optional events. I came to Ireland to see sheep -- not to be a sheep. I will not be bullied into following group think mentality and I am not responsible for increasing the tour guide's commissions on these "optional" excursions. Solo Traveler -- Perhaps, because of the highly structured nature of the bus tour, some of the travelers are uncomfortable with a level of independence that they do not possess. I was interrogated by several travelers as to why I was traveling alone. (One woman at dinner demanded to know my life story!) I heard myself apologizing more than once for my presence on the tour. Summary -- You will definitely experience Ireland on this tour but for a few dollars more, you can have other options that may result in a more pleasant experience.

ALL SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THE COMPANY DOESNT WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

ALL SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THE COMPANY HAS A POLICY OF RETURNING ALL MAIL SENT TO THE COMPANY WITHOUT OPENING IT. WE HAD A SITUATION IN TRYING TO PAY FOR OUR TRIP AND AFTER A LOT OF EFFORT WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO PAY. THE ISSUE WAS THAT THE COMPANY CANT PROCESS CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS OF GREATER THAN $20K- HOWEVER THE CLERK DIDNT KNOW THE RULE SO MUCH TIME WASTED ON OUR PART. THUS I WROTE A POSITIVE NOTE TO SCOTT NESBIT THE CEO ONLY TO HAVE IT RETURNED AND THUS i FOLLOWED UP AND AFTER 3 CHAT EMAILS I LEARNED THAT IT IS COMPANY POLICY NOT TO EVEN OPEN LETTERS- JUST SEND THEM BACK UNOPENED!! IF ONLY THEY WOULD PUT A STATEMENT ON THEIR WEBSITE TO THE EFFECT " PLEASE NOTE WE DONT WANT TO HEAR FROM ANY CUSTOMERS WITH REGARD TO COMPLAINTS OR SUGGESTIONS = SO DONT WASTE YOUR TIME CONTACTING US "

Vietnam Globus Tour

First and foremost, our tour guide Dinh was outstanding. He knows his stuff, excellent customer service and he made our tour great! He even met us at the airport in Hanoi at 1:00 a.m. to get us to our hotel when we first arrived!! Second, our accommodations (including food and beverage services) were all excellent. Third, our daily excursions/activities were all very good and as promised, and more, in the information we received ahead of time. Fourth, the communications by Globus with us was excellent. Confirmations, Travel Documents, Travel Packet and the app were all really good and very useful for us.

Date of experience : 03 March 2024

Our tour director

Our tour director, Christine was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, kind, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. Christine really tried to get to know everyone on the tour, their likes and needs. She frequently shared her own personal experiences. It is obvious that she really enjoys her job and also enjoys working with people. The tour took us to fabulous places and the hotels were located in central areas, allowing us to walk to many points of interest.

Fantastic Journey to Cuba!

It was a very well-planned tour with impeccable precision, experiences, and details. Globus and Cuban guides/directors were superb. Loved the experiences. I did contact Globus after we returned with one problem. At our MKE airport they mandated we give them our immigration papers...said we couldn't fly without the QR code...lady at counter finally gave us the website...Globus needs to prepare people for that.

It was a great trip

It was a great trip. The airport transfers were great. We are very glad we arrived a day ahead of time, which allowed us to adjust to the time difference. We also greatly enjoyed our 2 day extension in Prague. Our tour guide was very nice, and provided historical information during our bus trips. Our bus driver was a gem,and really knew how to navigate the city traffic. We loved that our tour allowed for enough free time to explore on our own. We took advantage of optional tours in each city visited, and enjoyed those. The local guides provided a great orientation to the cities, and provided great historical insights.

Very pleased with my recent Globus tour! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable & very friendly. The tour was well organized and we had the opportunity to see lots of great sights. The hotel accommodations were great. Would definitely recommend Globus to other travellers.

Highlights of the South Pacific: New Zealand and Australia

We selected this tour based on the itinerary- it hit all the key spots we were interested in seeing . The online Globus portal allowed us to submit all required docs for international travel and gave details on the hotels and event on our tour. Our tour director Leonie was FABULOUS! She was very knowledgeable, funny, and kept us on schedule. She created a WhatsApp group so we could easily communicate with everyone in the group and share photos. Highly recommend Globus tours!

Date of experience : 01 February 2024

Our travel guide Ronan was awesome

Our travel guide Ronan was awesome! Unfortunately we got stuck in New Zealand because of a visa problem and the global emergency line never would get back with us to help. We had to figure out and book our own flights to get caught up with our tour. The tour was five stars long as you didn’t have any problems if you are on your tour and you have an emergency problem, you are definitely on your own never heard back from them.

Globus provided the most amazing service

Globus were absolutely brilliant! Even when things didn’t go to plan (went from two of us travelling to just one) they were really helpful at every step of the way. Whilst on holiday I was given contact details for a local travel company who could help with anything I needed, which was vital in helping me feel safe travelling alone. Their app is amazing, with a day by day guide, as long as other really useful features like temperature, currency exchange, helpful phrases etc. I highly recommend this company and I plan to use them again in the future!

This was my second Globus tour

This was my second Globus tour. Michael the tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful as well as Barry the coach driver, they were both great! Definitely enjoyed this trip. The price was excellent I checked out several tour companies and Globus had the best deals. Booked another trip in November to Ireland. I would definitely recommend Globus Tours.

We had the most wonderful tour…

We had the most wonderful tour guide/tour director, Robert Marks. He knew so many things and treated us with great respect. We would recommend Globus just based on Robert. In addition we had great accommodations and a small (6 people) group of congenial people.

Marvelous Egypt

In February, my husband and I visited Egypt 🇪🇬 for two weeks, staying at five-star hotels. I cried due to seeing great temples of history such as Karnak, Luxor, pyramids of Giza, catacombs at Alexandria, sarcophagus of famous pharaohs, Egyptian museum (relics, art, chariots, masks, tombs, etc. from 3,000 years ago), Aswan, additional pyramids, Lake Nasser, a Nubian village, the Valley of the Dead, Tutankhamen’s mummy and treasures, hieroglyphs, place where Moses was supposedly plucked out of the Nile river, and so much more. This trip exceeded my wildest expectations. It’s one of the best ever and I have recommended it to my friends. The Egyptian people are friendly, helpful and we felt safe. Our tour director was so knowledgeable and helpful too. Wish I could go again.

Beautiful Spain

I really enjoyed all the beautiful places we went and the amazing hotels. Our guide, Jose, was spectacular, and always shared with the group, historical facts about the places we were visiting. The food was very delicious, though I was hoping for some Paella and succulent pig.

The Spanish escape was excellent

The Spanish escape was excellent. Loved all the places we visited and our tour director, Benjamin, made it so much fun while also being informative. We lucked up with excellent weather which made all the sightseeing easier. Will definitely use Globus again.

My fantastic experience

Our Unlucky 13th Globus Tour

We had to walk in the pouring rain from the airport to the bus and it rained 3 days. They lost my husbands luggage for 3 days, the insurance I purchased refused to reimburse us for our inconvenience. They wouldn’t deliver it so we had to pick it up. The food was very disappointing. The pasta was served hard, the meals were not very good. There were bones in my fish. And I got swelling in my legs on the trip home.

Date of experience : March 11, 2024

Great guides, interesting sites. The meals provided by Globus were very mediocre- that was our only complaint. Hotels were fantastic.

Scotland tour…

Globus tour guide and driver were very professional. The tour included many sights, guided tours, scenic countryside and history.

Greece 🇬🇷 was absolutely amazing 👏 The tour was unexpected experiences however I didn't realize there would be so much traveling via tour bus to different cities, staying in a different hotel for 3 or 4 days. The 2nd hotel was spectacular (reminded me of a castle). Flying Dress photoshoot was once in a lifetime dream come true.

Southern Spain Escape

Went on the Southern Spain Escape. The included sightseeing was great, but the pacing was off -- not enough or, in other cases, ANY time to buy souvenirs. I have been on other Globus tours and this is the first time I had this problem. Still, overall pleased with this tour company.

Great trip and great travel guide

Great trip and great travel guide. We love traveling with Globus because all arrangements are made and even have free time to explore.

Our guide Luis was exceptional in every…

Our guide Luis was exceptional in every way - professionalism, commentary, organization, etc. Excursions, hotels, and meals were all very good, but the hotels could have been more centrally located. Our big disappointment was that Globus was not completely clear in the tour description that the included city tour in Barcelona would not include the INTERIOR of the Sagrada Familia, the #1 attraction in the city! Also, we were kept waiting over a half-hour on the bus for a lost group member after being told that we would not delay the city tour for anyone, causing us to miss the Gothic Quarter.

Great value!

My first “off-season” tour. Had a great time. Lots of interesting opportunities (excursions) and enough free time to explore on my own.

What an amazing vacation

What an amazing vacation! First, Egypt... what an country. The people, culture, weather, food, all were great. Sometimes the sales people at the bazaars were a little pushy but even they had a good attitude about being told no. Give them a smile and they give one right back to you. Next, Globus... everything went exactly as planned. From being met at the airport with our visas and ride to the hotel, to being prompt throughout the trip, I was very impressed. We traveled in a small group of about 22 I think, due to the Gaza/Israel war to the east causing some to postpone. Never once did we feel even a little concerned about our safety. During most of our optional excursions Globus even included additional security to ride along with us! A really nice extra effort to make sure nothing went wrong. Finally our guide... I can't remember his Egyptian name but he went by Bob and wow, what a pro! He was super knowledgeable about every area we visited. He was always thinking two or three steps ahead to make sure things went smooth. Bob was a huge part of making this a great trip for our entire group and is a great asset to the Globus brand. I would not hesitate to take this trip again some day!

Your people were great

Your people were great! Anna most knowledgable and ready to accomodate. Spiros was most professional and helpful. Loved Beverly.

Trip was good!

Trip was good! Scotland is a beautiful country filled with interest cultural attractions. The cities we explore were nice and offer a lot of sights to take in. Understanding the history made it even better. The downside was the Program Director (Charley) was not very helpful. The PD was extremely intelligent and was filled with knowledge that made trip even better. Where he failed was in the practical area. He wasn’t good at giving you times and places to meet. Therefore fellow passengers were always asking where and what times to gather for excursions, dinners or whatever event to attend. It happened more often than not. Interesting enough most people made it on time and right location. This could be attributed to all of us helping one another. I have never been on one of these trips where times and locations were not written down in some location in the hitel. This was done on the first day for those activities. It wasn’t done again throughout the rest of our trip. He was enjoyable to listen to, but seemed to take a lot for granted. Overall I would recommend the trip, but would explain to make sure times and meetind places were well understood.

Ireland experience

All details were handled properly with great accommodation. The driver and tour guide were very knowledgable and extremely helpful.

Great tour on Canyonlands Escape

Great tour with Andrew on Canyonlands Tour. Andrew was a very good tour guide with so much information and treated everyone with kindness.

The staff were very good

The staff were very good. Even though the time requirements for the early morning rising were very taxing, the arrival at the sites were worth it. We definitely beat the crowds. The sights and temples were a once a lifetime experience

Good value. Guide knew his stuff and went over expectations in his service. Itinerary was well planned and interesting.

Below Grade Tour of Egypt

Hotels: The Hyatt Regency Cairo West was the kind of hotel we expect from Globus. The Alexandria Corniche was not. The Sonesta Tower was the worst - every room was smoked filled. The Sonesta St. George was fine. The MS Royal Lotus: The highlight of the tour in terms of food and accommodations. Meals: All meals were not included, but then we were persistently in areas where there was not food. If not for our guide who arranged for and took us to lunch virtually every day, we never would have been able to eat. But, that left us having to eat what and where he took us. That is ridiculous. If there are no options but what he takes us too, then why not include the meals in the cost of the tour? Guided Tours: If not for the guide who accompanied us on the whole trip, there would have been no guide. The Sakkara/Memphis tour was supposed to be by an Egyptologist, not our companion/guide. Itinerary: It was never followed. We did see everything, but not in the order we were provided, which was a bit confusing, and it seemed at times that everyone was going on excursions that we paid extra for. In all, it did not seem that we received the standard of experience we had come to expect from Globus on any level.

Love Scotland!

My experience was made much more rewarding and satisfying by the immense knowledge of our tour guide, Charlie, in conjunction with his personality and love for the country and its people. Our excursions were great, our driver, Mark, extremely adept at handling that massive bus, and our accommodations were very comfortable.

Wonderful trip wit tour…

Wonderful trip with our excellent tour guide. The tour offered so much at a very good price. The hotels were all high end and so lovely. The tour took us to a lot of special places in Portugal and Spain. Great memories!!!

Easter Island

Our local guide in Easter Island, Ringo, was fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our guide in Santiago was extremely helpful. The trip itself was very enjoyable and informative. The accommodations and food were good. We would recommend Globus for anyone wishing to an Easter Island tour.

Great experience

It was our first trip with Globus. We had a wonderful time in Ireland, trip was well organized, we had local guide Carmen, very knowledgeable and professional. Bus we were traveling with and hotels were comfortable. We can recommend Globus company to anyone.

Steve and Randy were excellent

Steve and Randy were excellent! Both were flexible, very helpful, always looking for other things to do. Also, the people on this trip were, for the most part, of good nature, and looking to enjoy themselves. Made for a very enjoyable trip.

Cancelled our Group Reservations without Notice

We made reservations for a Globus tour of some European countries through our travel agent. Our reservations, for our family group of eight people, were made in February (2024) for a tour in the month of July (2024). About two weeks after making the reservations Globus without any explanation cancelled our tour. We ended up having to change our airline ticket dates and went with another touring company. Our travel agent was perplexed as she was given no explanation by Globus. Upon contacting them they said they do this occasionally and do not provide explanation. Pretty sorry related to professionalism and certainly there is no feeling of certainty dealing with Globus. Not recommended!!

Too much for a short tour

Guide and driver were exceptional in an industry filled with excellence. Both friendly and helpful and very good at what they do. The tour itinerary was not optimal in my view. Too many places or too few days in my opinion. Extra time was needed, especially at Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley and Arches (I’ve been to all three in the past few years - love them all). My suggestion if the tour can’t be lengthened is to drop both Zion and Dead Horse Point in order to have more time at the other places. We barely scratched the surface of any place other than Grand Canyon.

Great vacation

Great tour guide. Tour was layed out very well. Nice smaller group. Communication from Globus was very good. The one thing that may be improved on is consistency of better quality accommodations.

Australia and New Zealand were…

Australia and New Zealand were beautiful! The places we went were amazing. The breakfast and box lunches could use improvement. Arriving at the hotels earlier so we have time to enjoy those areas we stayed.

tour guides

The tour guides were exceptional, and dealt with some extraordinary circumstances. We would happily have them again.

Fantastic locations

Fantastic locations, great add-on excursions. José Lois, our guide was amazing. Highlights were the day trip to Gibraltar, the Flamenco dinner show, El Escorial & Al Alhambra.

The overall tour was great, except…

The overall tour was great. We had weather issues that altered our experience but made the best of it. If we had to critique it would be the transfer from Globus to sister company Swiss Travel. With the Guanacaste extension we expected a tour guide to greet us but no. We had to wait numerous hours for our room. We had no confirmation of our scheduled tours. Luckily I am a seasoned traveler and speak Spanish so was able to verify though the hotel but it should not have to be my job. Others in our group of 10 were completely lost and I was asked repeatedly to address issues since no one else spoke Spanish. Again I’m on vacation too It was disappointing!

I like having everything planned ahead…

I like having everything planned ahead and I don’t have any worries. They include important places to visit. The tour guides are knowledgeable and interesting.

Had an awesome tour guide

Had an awesome tour guide, great hotels and beaches, interesting and fantastic excursions. Good bunch of people that I got to travel with for 10 days.

Best Holiday Ever !

This was hands down the best holiday I have ever been on. The whole experience from start to end was amazing. I thought our tour director Tunde was knowledgable and genuinely cared about everyone’s happiness. Our bus driver Robert had some serious skills maneuvering that coach down some really narrow streets and was always there to offer a hand, getting off the coach My only issue was how this holiday was advertised. There were 41 of us when we started and we did the first 3 countries together. Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. However the last location we went to was Berlin and only 11 of us from the tour remained. Everyone else went home after Prague. A lot of people didn’t realize they could have extended the tour and would have if it had been advertised better. That’s a whopping 75% of the people from our tour who went home and didn’t continue the tour to Berlin. The extended tours were also exceptional. My husband and I initially booked 4 out of the 7 but had such a good experience we went ahead and did them all. I would use this company again and for every group tour I book in the future.

Experiencing Turkey

Globus followed thru on every expectation. The guide help with many Extra duties. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful, He made the trip super .

A must do trip with Peter

Peter, our tour guide was fantastic. Friendly & knowledgeable. Loved our excursions & the places we visited. Hotels were better than expected.

Rio, Iguaza Falls and Buenos Aires tour

Our Globus tour and tour director was everything we expected…organized, detailed and informative with a tour director that managed many details from dinner plans, flights, boarding passes, luggage management and the list go’s on. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and sights along the way.

If anyone had told me that we could…

If anyone had told me that we could have started in North Italy and end up in Southern Italy and see at much as we did, I would have had doubts of both the ability to do so and even much less enjoy such a fast based trip. Globus pulled it off ( as usual). Having a tour guide as we did with Silvio was a strong plus in pulling it off !

Travelling with Globus was excellent…

Travelling with Globus was excellent from the time we booked until our tour was over. The communication was superior and our guide Ronny was extremely attentive and fun to be with. We especially enjoyed the Cultural Farm tour. We will definitely consider travelling with Globus again.

Sicilian escape

The tour was well planned, our driver, tour guide and excursions were all great. If I have to make one complaint it was the farewell dinner. The food was sparse and definitely not Italian cuisine, a thin piece of chicken and French fries. Half melted granita for dessert. All else was fantastic!!

This was the first time we booked tour…

This was the first time we booked tour with Globus and we’re really happy with the trip! The tour manager and the driver are excellent!we will continue book our vacation through Globus! 👌❤️❤️❤️👌

About the Business

Established in 1928. When you select a Globus vacation, you're choosing experience, passion, and perfection. Our dedication began over nine decades ago when a young Antonio Mantegazza became inspired to share the stories of his home while using his family's rowboat to transport lumber across beautiful Lake Lugano in Switzerland. He soon began transporting tourists instead, and what began on a spring day in 1928 blossomed into the worldwide name in travel. …

The ugly: they sent me 15 of my 33 pages of itinerary, not once, but twice!!! i never thought of asking how many pages i should have received. i called and asked the csr where would the airport car pick me up...and she said it was in my itinerary!!! NOT! anyway....the omission of 15 pages of instructions made my life HELL on the way over there and the hotel check in!! The good: I went to the greece, the greek islands and turkey at a great rate!!! it was the MOST wonderful vacation and did get a great price!!!! My guide, George was very nice and kept all the paperwork and travel in order. got express check in at cruise ship too! it was a dream vacation....didn't realize that Turkey was soooooo beautiful!!! a must see!

Globus has been disappointed from the beginning to the end. I will never use this travel company in future. First, they were so unorganized. Yes, unforeseen situation happens but I would expect more from a professional travel company. The Paris globus representative, Molly who doesn't greet people with a smile, but with a snobby and arrogant attitude. I asked about the ticket valid date because it said Oct 2023. She said "honey, we wouldn't give you an invalid ticket." 1. My name isn't honey. 2. What the heck with her tone? Of course I can't read French. You are there to explain things. Apparently, she doesn't like her job to help people. When we transferred from Paris to London, I could write a whole page of what went wrong. We got there early but they put us aside and made us wait for 30 mins. And of course they were double booked the seats. It was a huge mess to figure out where to seat because my seat was occupied by someone else already. When we arrived in London, our representative didn't bring a roster. She kept saying there were supposed to be 22 people, but she only counted 19. We literally waited an hour until she figured out what to do with us. That was a waste of time. Also, when we checked into London hotel, some of us were in a different floor. I was only single person who was on 2nd floor. Everyone else was on the premium floor - 6th floor. I paid the same amount for the less service. I'm just so annoyed how everything went using globus as our travel agent. I'll never ever use them again. + They suspended my account because I left a negative review on other review site.

I had a tour to India booked for two years and Globus cancelled it 2 months before because "not enough people." They should have cancelled earlier to allow me to look for a different vendor for my needs. I will stay with EF for my tour needs in the future.

I went to Greece, Turkey and 3 night cruise with them in October. The trip was great, great guide, food. But I couldn't get home for four days because my flights were constantly canceled. So One night in Athens, one in Paris and one in NYC. I used Globus travel insurance through AON and they just provided an e mail saying I'm out $900 of my own money. We will be sending you a check and explanation of benefits. Talk about sorry not sorry. AON does not provide any phone numbers or contact information other than an e mail. I'm still going to fight it but I'll never a) book with their insurance again and b) if forced to buy their insurance will find another travel company. Shame on Globus for not using a good company.

This is an upcoming trip that I haven't taken yet - the Sicilian Escape. I booked my own international flights for round trip to the launch point in Palermo. My error was that I didn't realize that the tour ended in Malta. My bad - although I did send the info to Globus to set up the transfer and they also didn't catch it. However, I now have to get from Malta back to Palermo to sync up with my international flights, a day early and missing 1.5 days of the 10-day tour. Still, my bad. My issue is that Globus will not arrange for our transfers in Malta to catch a new flight back to Palermo a day early. Their response was the name of a travel website I should use to set it up myself. I chose to book a tour with a company so that I would not have to deal with in-country arrangements in a foreign country. I expect that the tour company would be my advocate on the tour to help me navigate any issues when things go sideways .. its a trust issue. Apparently, even though there a month to go before the tour, the company is leaving us on our own in this situation. I'll update this review after the actual tour but I am already displeased.

I booked a trip with Globus in September 2023 to Australia. On my last day there the bus driver damaged my luggage while putting it on the bus when I arrived in Syndney. When I arrived at the hotel and the bus driver unloaded the luggage I noticed that my luggage was not rolling properly. Upon inspection of my luggage I noticed that two corners of my luggage was damaged and, therefore, the wheels were not working well. I contacted the tour guide and she was supposed to email me a claim form, which she never did. I contacted my Globus tour specialist and he referred me to the customer service department. I emailed pictures of the damage, along with how I observed the bus driver slamming my bag around when he was putting it on the bus. I was told by a Jill Bondarchuk that she was requesting a check to reimburse me for the damaged luggage. I never received anything and when I contacted her and inquired about my check I was ignored by her. I then contacted the customer care Director, Steve Born, and No response. I also contacted Paula Hayes, VP of sales and Scott, CEO of Globus and still NO response. So, beware of Globus fellow travelers because they will not take any responsibility for damage that their employees cause. I will never book another trip through this company as long as I live.

I booked a tour of Italy with Globus. I read the contract before signing. I paid the money on full. Nine days after paying - and 5 months before the tour - they downgraded our first hotel in Sorrento from a Booking.com rated 8.7 priced at $120 in Sorrento to Booking.com 7.9 priced at $80 far out of town. Then they refused to admit that it was a downgrade! Seems like bait and switch to me. I don't want to cancel. I want them to comply with their contract! "on full" above should be "in full" but I'd have delete and re-write to fix.

STOP THIEF!!!! After booking with Cosmos Travel - a part of Globus Tours and learning if I needed to cancel that my deposit would transfer to another tour - YOU HAVE gone back on your word!!! LIARS!!!! THIEFS!!!! Are you that hard up that you have to steal from a retired widow my deposit instead of honoring your word!!! #COSMOSTRAVEL #GlobusTours #globustravel BUYER BEWARE!!!! The reason I needed to cancel was due to being post op (hip replacement) and them not making the flight changes I requested over a month ago. They are the WORST for customer service and will NEVER use them or their subsidiaries again!!!

DO NOT ever do business with this God forsaken company! We deposited, in good faith, $1,598 in January 2020 for a trip to Europe's Spain and Portugal. Enter the EXTREME effects of not only two years of the pandemic Covid-19, but now the current financial devastation of 40-year high inflation levels, gas and oil prices skyrocketing, the stock market crash of the past several months losing 25% in value, a recession just around the corner as predicted by scores of bankers and economists, and a Russia-Ukraine war disrupting the European landscape. This company, Globus, adamantly refuses to recognize the highly destructive effects of the above AND the passage of time in one's personal financial and health situations, and refuses to refund our money, using very arrogant and condescending tones to "rub it in." They are BLIND to the simple concept of time lapsing, which is no one fault, and how that may bring changing circumstances to customers of good faith.....like us! We are retired people and we hung in there with Globus during the pandemic, but now, we are looking at extreme inflationary and recession effects that we can't weather.....and they have absolutely NO understanding of this concept! This is insanity! This is two-and-a-half years after we have made our deposit.....and the coast STILL is not clear with a full recession looming for perhaps the next TWO more years.....yet, they won't make a $1,598 refund!? These people are fretting about giving us our $1.598 back, and they DO NOT care one bit about losing our business and its potentially generous cash flow stream into the future. This kind of reprehensible decision making is akin to a bunch of greedy teenagers jacking around with a bunch of nameless, faceless "old farts!" Their largess in this respect is stunningly and profoundly absurd and humiliating. Can you imagine the mental midgets at work here, eschewing perhaps $40,000 or more in future business from us.....all over the paltry amount of $1,598? It raises serious concerns about the overall BUSINESS ACUMEN and INTEGRITY of Globus in general, and leads to serious questions about how they might treat a wealth of other "issues" that could arise on ANY trip! We recommend: STAY AWAY. Do business with a responsible company of integrity that respects you as a good faith customer and values your future business.

I have seen great reviews of CIE tours on here so think I should talk to my travel agent about them. Meanwhile she has suggested Globus or Collette (perhaps because we are in western Canada?) Has anyone on here ever used these companies? We were hoping to travel in September for our first time so need to get booked quickly.

No personal experience of either Globus or Collette. However, had two family members (in their late 60s) who traveled to China, Egypt and Italy with Collette Tours and were very pleased with them all. I believe they choose the smaller group options.

Gems of Iceland with the Northern Lights

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Iceland. The hotels and meals were fabulous. The itinerary was perfect. Best of all we got to see the Northern lights. Our guide, Holm, was excellent! We are looking forward to planning our next Globus adventure.

Ireland is Great

Recently, toured with Globus on the Irish Escape. My sister and I had a ball. The tour was very organized as always. The Republic of Ireland was welcoming. The people were nice and helpful. We used the public Tran in Dublin and found the people to be hospitable and kind. I would definitely go back. Our guide, Julian, was the perfect host and guide. He was able to to enhance our tour with his vast knowledge.

Everything was great as always with…

Everything was great as always with Globus. The only thing I would say is that it should offer a vegan or vegetarian selection, and of course a diabetic selection. The tour guide was great and accommodated everyone with these issues, but as she did not get notice ahead of time it just adds stress. To the people with the issues. And it’s something that should be told to the tour guide before she has to deal with it last minute or he.

Globus took very good care of us

Globus took very good care of us. The travel director, bus driver, and local tour guides were exceptional. They all gave us detailed information and history about the sites we were visiting. The travel itineraries were focused and the right pace for adventure.

Wildlife experience very good

Wildlife experience very good, Accommodations very good, If your looking for AC in a rainforest you will not get it : ) Excellent drivers and guides. Included tours good. Walk in the clouds could be replaced with Tram ride or Zipline tour. . Optional tours some good others could be better. (riverboat tour) Chocolate/coffee/sugarcane tour at our own cost was excellent. Jorge was a very good tour director. Not knowing about free shuttle from airport to first hotel not cool.

This is my 6th tour with GLOBUS and as always it was a wonderful experience. So well organized, I don't have to worry about anything. Even when I had to change my flight, they were able to make the necessary changes to ensure that we were picked up at the airport. We are able to see so many amazing cities and the optional excursions are great if you choose them.

Costa Rica tour

The tour was well-organized; the itinerary was fast-paced but ideal; the tour director and local guides were passionate, deeply knowledgable about everything from Costa Rican flora and fauna to its history and culture, and also lots of fun. We learned a lot and had so much fun!

Well organized trip

I enjoyed that the trip was well organized and that we had an excellent guide, who brought Egypt both ancient and modern alive for us. There were a variety of excursions so that participants could pick and choose what interested them.

This is a review of our Globus tour

This is a review of our Globus tour: 16 days to Spain, Portual and Morocco in April 2024. Itiniery was good and attractive hence we joined in. Globus tour director, Benjamine was great , knowlegeble, courteous, helpful and kept us motivated and interested with his sense of humor. All the local guides were also great, knowledgeble and courteous. Coachs were comfortable and clean since we all followed strict insturctions to not eat in the coach. Which are some postives of the tour. Globus tour was a bit disappointing in terms of Hotel accommodations. Some hotels were really below average, which was not at the acceptable level, dirty and not even with some basic amineties. Some hotel crew mentioned that with bulk rate negotiated with Goblus, you only get rooms where you have to walk far till the end, smaller rooms and no views and no consideration of guest's age or health. Water bottles were not provided under their current initiative of saving the planet, which we respect. However we all had to buy our own plastic bottles anyways since there was no provision of water to fill in your own reusable bottles. Hence defeated their own initiative. Which was highly disappointing. I would have preferred to use tap water but we were told not to use it as it may not be a good health choice, plus water was not easily available otherwise. The included excursions were sometimes a joke, repeating the same location twice for no appatrent reasons made us do certain things on our own, and incurred addtional costs. Each excursion time was also not alloted appropriately, that is, not enough time given at certain places. Gibraltor visit was one, as an example. I would really study Globus tour carefully before signing up next time. If you can get past the accommodation requirements, overall tour was good. Hope this helps to improve the itinerary to some extent. Thank you!

Everything about Globus was great

Everything about Globus was great. We had a fabulous tour guide, Fabiola, our bus driver was excellent, the bus was comfortable and our accommodations were excellent. The tour guides along the tour were knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely travel with Globus again.

Greece - The Travelling Goddesses + 1

The people on the tour and the tour guide. It was one of the best trips that I have taken on Globus. I travelled along and didn't know what to expect, however it's always and adventure when I travel. Great group of people from around the world and the tour guide was engaging, humorous, and very accommodating in meeting the needs of group. I love the tour schedule and the last night dinner was outstanding!

You have to see Greece

Greece is a beautiful Country and we had the opportunity to see the best areas on our trip. It was well organized and the hotels were nice- especially Olympia and Delphi! Very knowledgeable guide who also was our tour director.

Read this before booking a Globus Tour in Italy

I don’t normally complain, but I’ve been mislead by Globus Tours marketing. We are currently on the Northern Italy & Cinque Terra tour. The guides and driver are good and the bus stops at local farms/factories and old town walking tours are nice (even if they make you have your bags ready at 7:30am and rush you through breakfast to get on the bus at 8:15am). The hotels are acceptable nice quality but the location of the hotels is not good. To enjoy old town Italy in each location you have to take a taxi because the hotels they put you in are in not great feeling areas and not easily walkable locations. I believe this is because they want to force you to feel like you have to purchase their dinner excursions. Italy is fabulous and when signing up for this tour I was under the impression the hotels would be in lovely walkable areas in the towns/cities. Boy was I wrong! Please let readers know that what is advertised is not what is delivered. When booking, they ask your preference of hotel (budget or luxury and only share hotels booked weeks before your departure. Turns out their luxury hotels average cost is $125USD a night for double occupancy and are not in great areas.) Our “Cinque Terra” tour does drive us to Cinque Terra one day with the day scheduled and planned by Globus, but the hotel they have us staying in that night is an hour and a half from any of the towns of Cinque Terra (so no free time to have dinner or walk Cinque Terra). That stinks, since it is advertised as the main focus of the tour. I’m so disappointed because I’m traveling with my elderly mother who is fit but who can’t walk 30 minutes each way to dinner. So disappointing her only trip to Italy in her lifetime is with Globus who chose their bottom line margin over booking hotels near the center of the ancient cities for their guests to enjoy the Italian ambiance I was hoping would be easily accessible. Globus has planned the tour to create frustration. (Getting their chosen hotels to organize a taxi is painful and expensive and they don’t have shuttle service and there isn’t enough time to figure out the public transportation.) I had higher hopes.

Yellowstone Winter Wonderland

Our guide Steve Osten was very knowledgeable and personable. His love of Yellowstone infused enthusiasm into the whole group. National Parks don’t have TV and that is wonderful for disconnecting and relaxing. The drivers of the bus and the snow coaches added to the learning experience. Restaurant s and food were great. The west Yellowstone hotel breakfast didn’t measure up to the other accommodations.

Many stray/wild dogs & cats roaming around in Turkey. Also many archeologist sites very dangerous as steps are not marked & slippery or broken and most places have no railings. One of our friends fell & broke his foot in 3 places so be very careful & I would not recommend for older folks

Tasty and Beautiful Scotland

We felt that the guide, Brian and Alistair really made the trip Fun and informative! We had a nice group of fellow travelers and that helped also. There was a wonderful blend of history and geography that truly earned The name " Taste of Scotland". We think there should be a followup...a sequel....10 days. Everything Else we missed...definitely want to Return!

The tour was absolutely amazing

The tour was absolutely amazing. I would have been great to have skipped Johannesburg all together and spent more time in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, but it was great. Our tour guide was so helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Can't wait to book my next Globus Tour.

Egypt was amazing!

Egypt was amazing! I learned so much from our guide, Shereen. So knowledgeable of ancient Egyptian history, and the area since she is a local. The trip was very active but so glad I was able to see so much history. We felt very safe the entire trip. The only downside was that the Globus app did not update as our flights home were canceled and it was agonizing (I'm a control freak!) not knowing how we were getting home.

Excellent tour guide

Excellent tour guide! Smaller size travel group (17) I liked the variety of accommodations and activities as well as downtime to do what I wanted to do. It would have been helpful if the main office could contact the actual tour guide to answer questions about the specific trip. We came in a day before the actual tour started and wanted to do our own excursion. No one could give us information as to when the group would meet for introductions and the week's agenda. We wanted to sign up for an all day trip and was told we would get in too late and would miss the meeting. As it turned out, there was no meeting on the first day and we missed out on doing what we wanted and essentially wasted the day.

Great intro to the continent

Great way to visit some of the main European attractions.

We have travel with Globus before they…

We have travel with Globus before they are great at taking care of everything from making sure your luggage gets to your room and back on the bus. That all your excursions are in order and informed us of any other excursions that we might be interested in. The welcome dinner is very informative and fun. Our tour director was awesome. He handled everything, even the smallest of issues he did with a smile on his face and followed up to make sure it was taken care of. The motor coach that we traveled in was very clean and comfortable. The sites that were part of the trip were great and enjoyed the additional excursions too. I would say that this trip is packed full of stuff so if you don't mind moving every couple of nights then you'll love these types of trips if not then a cruise would be better so that you don't have to pack and unpack every couple of nights. Lots of walking so need to be in fairly good shape and wear good supportive shoes. Overall loved this trip will book again with them. Maybe a river cruise next time!

Don't miss this tour it is fabulous.

Excellent tour guide and bus driver. Unusual that 42 people were a very cohesive group. We all got along, liked each other and had a Terrific time. The accommodations were comfortable and well suited to the locations. Food was above average. I would recommend this to to anyone.

South African Safaris with Victoria Falls

Everything was above board for our recent South African vacation. Hotels and lodges were outstanding. Someone from Monograms met us at all locations to escort us from Air travel to hotels to sites to visit. African Safaris at Shiduli lodge was unbelievable. Wonderful food everywhere we went. Beautiful country with very happy people.

My first trip to Europe

I`m so glad I chose Globus for my first trip to Europe. They took care of everything, we didn`t have to worry about anything. It was the perfect balance of scheduled tours and free time. I highly recommend Globus for anyone thinking of vacationing in Europe. I chose Globus` 8 Great Italian Cities and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

What a wonderful way to travel

What a wonderful way to travel! All the details were taken care of. No need to worry about hotels or getting from place to place - which can be a logistical challenge. Knowing that there were resources and support available if needed was also reassuring. Not to mention great hotels, wonderful sight seeing and awesome recommends for eating! LOVE Monograms!!!!

Best trip ever!

This was our second trip with Globus, and we were well pleased with the tour. We had a great itinerary, fine hotels, excellent food and wine, and safe and comfortable transportation. But it was our tour guide, Salvatore Russo, who made this our best trip ever. He was a superb organizer and a delightful companion. Thanks Globus for providing a remarkable travel experience that made us fall in love with Italy and its wonderful people!

Improper information about Visa requirements

The itinerary and the guides were great. I would recommend this tour to others with the following exception. Prior to the trip we inquired about Visas for Jordan and were told that we would have to get Visas because we were crossing at the Allenby Bridge and they could not accept process request there at the time of crossing. We ask about the Visas from both Affordable Tours, who we booked our tour with, and with the Globus's Journerys Club. They both told us that we would have to get our own Visas, which we did. On the first night of. the trip during the introductory briefing, our guide asked who did not have Visas for the Jordan part of our tour and stated that if we did not have a Visa, Globus would take care of it. This as pretty crappy for those of us who got Visas when they were not needed. It was an additional cost that other member of the tour did not have to pay. All participants should have paid the same. It not the additional expense but not being treated fairly. Those of use who purchased the Visas should have at least been given a new Globus bag for our trouble. Please include correct information in your future tour description about Visa requirements so this will not happen again.

Italian Tapestry 2018

My friend and I recently returned from our third Globus trip, Italian Tapestry, a few weeks ago. From Venice to Sorrento, this trip was breathtakingly beautiful. The hotels and restaurants selected by Globus were, as always, excellent in every way. The itinerary was well-thought out and interesting, such as the trip to Florence and Monteriggioni. The optional excursions that we selected were wonderful and exceeded our expections, particularly the Tuscan Farm dinner and the day trip to the island of Burano. Our Tour Director, Anne Palmer-Puccini, was delightful, knowledgeable, professional and went above and beyond to provide all of us with a memorable vacation. Our Driver, Giuseppe, is most likely the bravest man I have ever met as he skillfully navigated the challenging and formidable traffic of Rome! He is also very kind and personable. Globus is very lucky to have these two people in their employ and I will sing their praises to my family and friends when we discuss my trip. I will also highly recommend Globus to anyone looking for an escorted tour service company and I look forward to booking another trip with Globus in the near future.

AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.

The entire experience was excellent. The ride was so comfortable, the tour guide was so knowledgeable and really shows an interest us making certain we were safe at all times, so organized and really shows a love for her job. The driver Rocco was excellent. Always on time always smiling so careful on the road and all round just great. It was really a fantastic experience I have no regrets.

Operated by Globus

It began more than 90 years ago, when a young man purchased a boat to transport visitors across Lake Lugano, Switzerland. Who would have thought that this single boat would launch one of the world's leading travel companies? Today, the Globus family of brands is a global company reaching every corner of the world, yet remains family-owned and steeped in the values Antonio Mantegazza had when he set out across Lake Lugano in 1928 - to enlighten travelers by showing them the very best of the destinations we know so well. At Globus, we create first-class escorted tours with just the right balance of included features & free time. We’re all about hidden gems, not hidden charges. We throw in more visits, toss in more experiences & include more sightseeing, all in the price of the vacation.
